There is a big protest in Najaf on April 9th 2008 in which people of Iraq will be demonstrating their desire to end this illegal occupation of US forces in Iraq. The call is OCCUPATION OUT. People of Iraq are out of strength to witness more innocents die. There has already been enough blood-shed. This illegal unlawful unethical infiltration of the occupied forces in Iraq have recently started a new Massacre in Basra. US jets have been dropping bombs in Basra in which several casualties have been claimed. And guess what - MORE INNOCENTS DIED - It probably does not sound like a news anymore. Right. Well we do not care. Right. Well there is nothing we can do. Right. Great Awesome Perfect. But remember one thing - today we are quiet and others are being massacred. Tomorrow we will be massacred and others will be quiet. Making exactly the same excuses. Well we do not care. Well there is nothing we can do. Iraqis have been living on their own and by themselves for years decades and centuries. What makes US think that they NEED OUR HELP. This is absurd. Iraq is a country that has a strong historical significance. Iraq existed even when US and Israel were not on the map of the earth. Iraq has a culture. Iraqis are a nation with a strong cultural heritage - unlike US. IRAQIS DO NOT NEED FOREIGNERS TO BE TEACHING THEM WHAT TO DO AND WHAT NOT. May be there is less than 1 percent population in Iraq that LOVES United States Army existence in Iraq. I have a better plan to offer. Since we care so much about that 1 percent population - MOVE THEM TO ISRAEL or MOVE THEM TO WASHINGTON. May curse of Allah be on the aggressors and oppressors.

Prince Bandar bin Sultan (L), Ehud Olmert
Former Saudi Ambassador to the US Prince Bandar bin Sultan asks Israeli prime minister Ehud Olmert to move against Hezbollah.
Saudi's Prince Bandar bin Sultan has formally requested Olmert to move the Zionist regime's military forces in the north of the Occupied Lands on the border with Lebanon as a threat against Hezbollah if the latter did not stop attacking government of Lebanese Prime Minister Fouad Siniora, Filkka - Israel website revealed Wednesday.
Bandar bin Sultan arrived in the Occupied Territories in his private plane directly from Jeddah airport to Lod Airport in Tel Aviv.
Bin Sultan asked Olmert to do what is necessary to support PM Siniora, offering to bear all the financial costs of any Israeli war against Hezbollah.
Israeli prime minister, Ehud Olmert who is under investigation in a bribe case, said that he could not do so now, assuring his guest that he could not wage a war on behalf of Saudi Arabia, but he will discuss the issue with the Israeli officials in order to carry out military maneuvers in the south of Lebanon.

UK bribery disgrace in trade with Saudi Arabia: Former Saudi Ambassador to the US, Prince Bandar bin Sultan received hundreds of millions of pounds in secret payments from Britain's top defence manufacturer with the knowledge of Prime Minister Tony Blair's government, according to the BBC.
The payments made by BAE Systems were actually a conduit to Bandar for his role in the multi-billion al-Yamamah arms agreement, Britain's biggest ever export deal signed in 1985, the state-funded broadcaster said it had learned Thursday.
The alleged bribes were said to have been discovered during a year-long inquiry conducted by Britain's Serious Fraud Office (SFO), but which was abruptly halted last December after Blair said the investigation was a threat to national security.
The dropping of the investigation also came amid concerns that it might jeopardize a new multi-billion arms deal with Saudi Arabia to supply Eurofighters.
The BBC said that the payments, believed to total more than Pnds one billion (Dlrs 1.9 bn), were sent to two Saudi embassy accounts in Washington, were written into the government-to-government arms deal contract in secret annexes.
Allegations previously made in the British press have also suggested that Mark Thatcher, son of the British prime minister at the time, was also involved in the deal.
The al-Yamamah deal included the supply of more than 100 Tornado aircraft and is estimated to have been worth over Pnds 40 billion (Dlrs 78 bn) over more than a decade.
The new claims, to be made in the BBC's current affairs Panorama programme next Monday prompted the head of parliament's committee which investigates strategic exports, Labour MP Roger Berry, to call for a proper investigation into the allegations.
Liberal Democrat Treasury spokesman Vince Cable said that if ministers in either the present or previous governments were involved there should be a "major parliamentary inquiry".
"It is one thing for a company to have engaged in alleged corruption overseas. It is another thing if British government ministers have approved it," Cable said

Former Cuban president Fidel Castro says al-Qaeda terrorists have been engineered in order to advance the Bush administration's agenda.
In an essay published on Sunday, Castro said the terrorist group "was born from the empire's own entrails", using the term "empire" to refer to the United States.
After the Sept. 11 attacks, the Bush administration vowed to capture al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden, who has reportedly taken responsibility for the deadly attacks on US soils.
"[Al-Qaeda] is a typical example of an enemy that the hegemonic power dangles in a place of its choosing where it needs to justify its actions, as it has done throughout its history, fabricating enemies and attacks destined to strengthen its plans of domination," the former Cuban leader argued.
According to Castro, the American public has been mislead by the US government about the real extent of the terrorist attacks in 2001. Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez has also suggested that Washington could have been somehow involved in the planning of the attacks.
In the aftermath of the attacks, the White House launched the 'War on Terror' in a bid to disband al-Qaeda. While many civilians have been killed since the 2001 invasions of Afghanistan, followed by the 2003 invasion of Iraq, the US has failed to achieve its objectives in the region. Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) program called "Operation Cyclone" is reportedly responsible for the creation of the terrorist group, when the CIA funded native Afghan militants in the conflict with the Soviet Union.
The al-Qaeda leader is reportedly planning a new terror attack against the US as President-elect Barack Obama takes office from the incumbent president, George W. Bush.
Earlier this month, a source close to the group claimed that Bin Laden is supervising preparations for another attack which will be far greater than those of 9/11.
US Vice President-elect Joe Biden had warned in October that Obama would face an international crisis early in his presidency

17th Dec08-Veterans Shoe Protest Over Iraq War at White House- English

On Wednesday December 17 2008 activists staged a Shoe In demonstration in front of the White House. The rally was in solidarity with Iraqi journalist Muntadhar al Zaidi.
WASHINGTON, Dec 17: About 100 people gathered outside the White House on Wednesday to protest for the release of the Iraqi journalist who hurled his shoes at President George W. Bush over the weekend.
Muntazer al-Zaidi, who works for the Al Baghdadia Television, has been in custody since disrupting President Bush’s weekend press conference with the size-10 projectiles. If convicted, Mr Zaidi may be jailed for up to seven years.
The protesters brought a giant head of President Bush, threw shoes at it and covered it with shoes before ending their protest.
They also brought bags of shoes representing Iraqis and US soldiers who have died since the Bush Administration’s “illegal invasion” of Iraq.
The peace activists urged the Iraqi government to release Mr Zaidi without charges and have set up a fund to support him and his family.
At the White House, Press Secretary Dana Perino said the president had “no hard feelings” about the Iraqi journalist who flung shoes at him.
Asked if Mr Zaidi should be forgiven, Ms Perino said Mr Bush trusted Iraq’s legal system to decide an appropriate punishment for the assault.
The protesters outside the White House also displayed names of thousands of Iraqis killed in the war. The display contained their names, ages, places where they were killed and how they were killed.
“These are real people,” said Gael Murphy, one of the cofounders of the Code Pink which along with three of the groups had participated in the protest. “They were killed because of the US invasion.”Later, representatives for Code Pink, Women for Peace, Iraq Veterans Against the War, and Veterans for Peace told a news conference that they had come to White House to remind the Bush administration and the American people that “Mr Bush is directly responsible for the deaths of 1.5 million Iraqis and 4,200 US troops”.
They noted that the war also displaced more than five million Iraqis.
“Bush is the real criminal, not al-Zaidi,” said one of them. “Al-Zaidi speaks for millions of people across the world.”
“Arrest Bush, not Zaidi,” chanted the protesters as they marched outside the White House. “Bush is a war criminal,” shouted the protesters as they spanked a giant picture of the US president with shoes.
The speakers who addressed the news conference noted that Mr Zaidi had become something of a folk-hero in the Arab world, and his shoe-throwing had become a symbol of dissatisfaction with ‘Bush’s bungled war in Iraq’

Dennis Edney, the courageous Canadian lawyer who is representing Omar Khadr, made an impassioned plea to Muslims to realize their responsibility and bring an end to the injustices being inflicted on this Canadian youth. Omar, now 22 years old, was only 15 when he was captured in Afghanistan in a firefight on July 27, 2002 in the village of Faridkhel in eastern Afghanistan.
In his detailed explanation of Omar Khadr's case, Dennis Edney had the audience spell-bound as he took them step by step through the false allegations made against Omar. He also narrated in chilling detail of the torture to which Omar was subjected and he explained how much difficulty he had faced in trying to make Omar talk to him when he first visited him because he had been so traumatized after the torture he suffered. Omar finally opened up when, as Dennis Edney explained, he showed him the photo of his young son who was then about 9 years old. The son was dressed in hockey clothes and Omar took the
photograph in his hand and played with it for a while, clearly identifying with the youth.
Edney said he realized at that time that although Omar had grown old physically, his mental age was still frozen at 15 because he was so traumatized.
He also narrated the legal challenges he (Edney) faced in trying to convince the courts in Canada, the Canadian government and others including Muslims that great wrongs are being done to Omar and that unless Muslims stand up to defend his rights, they would also suffer as a consequence.
Dennis Edney was very emphatic that Muslims in Canada and indeed in the West in
general had done nothing wrong. They are being victimized because of the brutal policies pursued by George Bush and his phoney war on terror. They need scapegoats and since Muslims are weak, they are therefore, being exploited and humiliated.
He explained that the Military Tribunals in Guantanamo Bay were a sham and designed specifically to convict all those brought before it. These tribunals were not designed to evaluate the evidence because whenever what the US government said did not fit the conviction, it simply changed the evidence.
Edney also pointed out that the designation of any individual as an "enemy combatant" was meant to deprive that person of the rights granted under the Geneva Conventions. These, he said, were meant to protect prisoners of war. They cannot be charged in a military court or anywhere else. In war, people from each side fight and kill or get killed. These are the rules of warfare. The US cannot unilaterally change these rules.
Dennis Edney was very clear that Omar's case was a political case and that Muslims and others had to become much more active in contacting their elected officials, writing to them constantly to intervene in the case.
He said that the Canadian government was so tightly aligned ideologically with the necons in Washington that it was prepared to sacrifice the rights of its own citizens. He said that Omar is the only Western citizen still in Guantanamo Bay. He also made another point: that Guantanamo Bay is meant for Muslims only. If a white American commits a
crime, he is tried in an American court of law, not sent to Guantanamo Bay.
At times, he appeared quite emotional about what injustice had been inflicted on Omar and urged everyone present to not go home and forget about it.
When he finished he received a standing ovation. People were visibly moved by his presentation and many of them surrounded him after ward to talk to him and asked questions.
He certainly had a big impact on the audience and moved them to become much more active.

So WHO makes United States' decisions - Jan09 - English. US denies Olmert influenced UN vote
The US has denied that a telephone call made by Ehud Olmert, the Israeli prime minister, to George Bush, the US president, led to the US abstaining in a UN vote on the Gaza war last week.
In a speech late on Monday, Olmert said Condoleezza Rice, the US secretary of state, was left "pretty shamed" at the vote and had to abstain on a resolution she had helped arrange.
Sean McCormack, a US state department spokesmen, who was with Rice at the UN last week during debate on the security council resolution, said the remarks were "just 100 per cent, totally, completely untrue".
McCormack said that Washington had no plans to seek clarification from Israel.
Mark Regev, a spokesman for Ehud Olmert, said the Israeli leader stood by his remarks.
Telephone influence
The Israeli prime minister said on Monday that he demanded to talk to Bush last Thursday, minutes before a vote in the UN Security Council on a resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
"When we saw that Rice, for reasons we did not really understand, wanted to vote in favour of the resolution ... I looked for President Bush," Olmert said.
Bush, who Olmert said was taken off a stage in Philadelphia where he was making a speech, said he was not informed on the resolution and was "not familiar with the phrasing".
"I'm familiar with it. You can't vote in favour." Olmert claimed telling the US president.
"He [Bush] gave an order to the secretary of state and she did not vote in favour of it, a resolution she cooked up, phrased, organised and manoeuvred for," Olmert said.
Bush was in Philadelphia on Thursday morning and gave a 27-minute speech on education policy that ended about 10 hours before the UN vote and there was no interruption of the public event.
The Israeli prime minister described Bush as an "unparalleled friend" of Israel.
UN call
Fourteen of the security council's 15 members supported the legally binding resolution, which has until now failed to stop Israel's offensive in Gaza.
Olmert criticised the UN resolution, saying that "no decision, present or future, will deny us our basic right to defend the residents of Israel".
Israel launched its offensive on December 27, in what it said was an attempt to stop Hamas firing rockets into southern Israel from Gaza.
After an intensive air campaign in the first week, Israel sent ground forces into Gaza in the second week of fighting and continues to push deeper into the strip.

Just as Israel has bombed a hospital and a UN compound in Gaza Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni came to Washington in the dying days of the Bush administration to sign a new US Israel agreement barring Hamas from rearming. Meeting with journalists she had the right to say whatever she wanted about Israels war on terror while paying lip service to civilian Palestinian victims. Journalists for their part were systematically prevented from asking legitimate questions. Pepe Escobar argues that when it comes to media supremacy at least inside the US Israel will accept nothing but the upper hand.

The Turkish prime minister has stormed out of a heated debate at the World Economic Forum in Davos over Israel's offensive in the Gaza Strip.
Recep Tayyip Erdogan walked out of the televised debate on Thursday, after the moderator refused to allow him to rebut the Israeli president's justification about the war that left about 1,300 Gazans dead.
Before storming out, Erdogan told Shimon Peres, the Israeli president: "You are killing people."
Peres told Erdogan during the heated panel discussion that he would have acted in the same manner if rockets had been falling on Istanbul.
Moderator David Ignatius, a Washington Post columnist, then told Erdogan that he had "only a minute" to respond to a lengthy monologe by Pires.
Erdogan said: "I find it very sad that people applaud what you said. There have been many people killed. And I think that it is very wrong and it is not humanitarian."
Ignatius twice attempted to finish the debate, saying, "We really do need to get people to dinner."
Erdogan then said: "Thank you very much. Thank you very much. Thank you very much. I don't think I will come back to Davos after this."

aza Israel's Crime Against Humanity
This Palestinian Girl a Victim of Israeli crimes
To: President and Member States of United Nations General Assembly
PETITION
To President and Member States of United Nations General Assembly
The Creation of a Special Tribunal to try Israeli War Criminals
Recalling that Israel was created by virtue of a General Assembly Resolution in 1947 against the wishes of the indigenous population of Palestine;
Recalling that the creation of Israel was achieved through the ethnic cleansing of the indigenous population, which resulted in the creation of the Palestinian refugee problem, and that more than half of the population of 1.5 millions of the Palestinian Occupied Territory called the Gaza Strip are Palestinian refugees who have become, with the other civilian population, victims of the recent Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip;
Noting that the UN Human Rights Council, in its ninth Special Session, has adopted on 12 January 2009, a resolution on the grave violations of human rights in the Occupied Palestinian Territory including the recent aggression of the occupied Gaza Strip in which it strongly condemned the ongoing Israeli military operation which had resulted in massive violations of human rights of the Palestinian people and systematic destruction of the Palestinian infrastructure; and decided to dispatch an urgent independent international fact-finding mission to investigate all violations of international human rights law and international humanitarian law by the occupying power against the Palestinian people throughout the Occupied Palestinian Territory(United Nations Press Release of 12 January 2009, Human Rights Council, ROUNDUP);
Recalling that Israel has in the past refused to cooperate with similar fact-finding commissions or even give them visas to enter;
Recalling Article 22 of the Charter of the United Nations
Recalling further the Advisory Opinion of the International Court of Justice of 9th July 2004 on the Legal Consequences of the Construction of a Wall by Israel, the occupying power, in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, in which the Court emphasized the special responsibility of the General Assembly for the Question of Palestine;
The undersigned NGOs and individuals
Call upon the General Assembly to create a special international tribunal to try Israel, its political and military leaders, for such crimes in violation of international law, human rights law and international humanitarian law in the Palestinian Occupied Territory of which they may be charged.
