Juz 18 of the Holy Qur\'an consists of three surahs, Surah al-Muminun, a Meccan surah, Surah Nur, a Medinan surah, and Surah al-Furqan, a Meccan surah. Surah al-Muminun and Surah Nur discuss the certain behaviours Allah (swt) expects us to have and those behaviours that He expects us to stay away from.
Through these surahs we realize the importance that Allah (swt) places on how our actions affect those around us. When we do things, we should be mindful of how we are affecting others. The characteristics that He advises us to have include: being humble in our prayer, avoiding vain talk, paying zakat, guarding our private parts, keeping our trusts and promises, being careful over our prayers, not fault-finding, and not spreading rumours about others.
This juz should cause us to really reflect on our actions and whether or not they positively or negatively affect others. Do we treat others the way Allah (swt) wants us to treat them?

The 15th Juz consists of Surat al-Isra (111 verses, The Night Journey) and Surat al-Kahf (First 74 verses, The Cave), both Meccan. The concepts of Rizq, sustenance and Dua, supplication, are discussed here. Man is created hasty and we often ask for things that may be detrimental to us. We quickly get dejected and disappointed in Him, but need to remember that God is the one who gives, and withholds, and that He does this in perfect measure, with full awareness and of our needs and betterment. This teaches us to have complete faith and reliance in Him, and to recognize that He is the one in complete control. God also reminds us of our fragility, and complete dependency on Him. He points out our tendency to turn to Him only in distress, when in fact we should be turning to Him constantly, with hope and gratitude. And only then will we realize that the true power of supplication is not in gaining our wants, but in realizing our deepest desire which is proximity to God.

A Special Mindset for the Nights of Power (Laylatul Qadr) Agha Ali Raza Panahiyan Farsi sub English

A Special Mindset for the Nights of Power (Laylatul Qadr)
Why don’t we take full advantage of God’s Kindness? We are prevented from benefiting from God’s Mercy because we count on ourselves. This barrier is arrogance, being conceited about our possessions and achievements.
We never talk to God as if we are a criminal, cutthroat, villain. No, we talk to God as if we are honorable people, “God, as You are aware, I’m obviously one of Your good servants. And I haven’t had a fault thus far. But, I decided to turn to You tonight to say if You want to grant me more blessings, sure, I agree! Yes, I have some faults. It is possible I haven’t done as much as I should.” This person is the epitome of arrogance. This person is not able to benefit from God’s Mercy.
During the Nights of Power (Qadr) I like to go amongst the crowd of worshippers and see who has come for the first time, a person who has a history of serious wrongdoing! And, he is too embarrassed to talk. People ask him, “Sir, would you like a Qur’an?” When he wants to take the Qur’an, he thinks, “I’m too embarrassed to touch it. I have nothing, absolutely nothing to say.”
If I find such a person during the Nights of Power, I’ll go and stand behind him. I’ll say, “God, whatever you grant him, grant to me too.” He doesn’t have a trace of arrogance. He has no pretentiousness at all. Others go back home happily. But, this person is still standing. Towards the end, he will say, “God, did You look at me too?” This kind of person will make use of God’s Mercy that night.
Benefiting from God’s Mercy is very hard. Why? Because we count on ourselves. Don’t count on yourself. Are you able to go to a gathering of worshippers to repent like that criminal? You won’t go. You’d say, “It’s impossible. Is it possible?! Thank God, I’m not that bad either.”
We are even proud of our deeds, which we haven’t done! At least he has done some good deeds. We tell ourselves, “We still have time until the end of the Month of Ramadan.” “Till the end of the month?! But, you haven’t done anything yet!” “I’ll do something. Don’t worry!”
We are prevented from benefiting from God’s Mercy because we count on ourselves. What should we do to stop counting on ourselves? The supplications narrated from the Household of the Prophet (‘a) are excellent opportunities. A supplication says, “God, even if I had done a good deed, I shouldn’t have relied on it. I should have relied on Your Grace. And now, I haven’t even done that good deed. So, I must only rely on Your Grace. What should I do if You don’t look at me?”

Who is the one who doesn’t even need to deliver a speech if he wants to challenge the West?
What did Imam Khamenei do on the 3rd of Khordad, in a gathering of the Armed Forces?
And what did Ayatollah Hashemi Shahroudi have to say about the knowledge and jurisprudential expertise of Imam Khamenei?
Additionally, what did Putin –the President of Russia – and Javier Pérez de Cuéllar and Kofi Annan – both former Secretary-Generals of the United Nations have to say about his eminence?
Furthermore, what was Ayatollah Hasanzadeh Amoli’s advice to the people in regards to the Rahbar?
Besides, what is ‘The Manifesto of the Second Phase of the Islamic Revolution’?
And finally, what is our responsibility towards the Manifesto?
Hujjat al-Islam Ustad Raji sheds light on the achievements of the Esteemed Leader, Sayyid Ali Khamenei, in various fields, and then talks about ‘The Manifesto of the Second Phase of the Islamic Revolution’.

\\\"Reach the Peak\\\" as we delve deeply into the beautiful pages of Nahjul Balagha and the wise words of the Commander of the Faithful, the first divinely appointed Imam, Imam Ali ibne Abi Talib (A).
In this episode, Sayyid Amir Behbahani speaks to us about how to develop and use \\\"The Best Shield\\\".
But according to Imam Ali (A) in Hikmah number 3 found in Nahjul Balagha, what exactly is \\\"The Best Shield\\\"?
And how is Hikmah number 113 related to this subject?
What is the best kind of Wara\\\'?
And what are some practical examples of Wara\\\'?
What will the enemy do, if they find that one doesn\\\'t have a weakness?
Finally, what are all the attributes of a revolutionary that wants to make a positive change in their society?
If you ultimately want to \\\"Reach the Peak\\\", you\\\'re going to have to take the first step - wherever you are!

Someone says, “I want to move away from our religious neighborhood. I’ll move to a nonreligious neighborhood where no one cares about what others do. When you get up in the morning, neighbors won’t talk about whether you pray. Here, our neighbor came and said, ‘Your light isn’t on in the mornings. Don’t you pray?!’ ‘That doesn’t have anything to do with you! Maybe we pray in the dark.’ Everyone is judging each other. In our city, everyone expects others. Everyone is attacking each other based on their imaginations.”
One of the factors that causes people to become infatuated with western culture is this. When they go to western countries, they see what we are discussing in these sessions. This is called “acknowledging people’s differences.” They see this in the west. They see this in the culture of western people. Acknowledging people’s differences brings calm. They say, “I love this calmness.” Why? Actually, you should go to a place where everyone cares about you and helps you! This is being sophisticated, not what you see in western culture where people don’t care about each other due to their selfishness. But a religious person isn’t selfish. He cares due to his wanting to serve people and his being affectionate and kind! Why shouldn’t he care about others?
Our religion has said this too. Why should you search for this in the west? Why should you become infatuated with western culture, my dear? It’s said that if you see a wrong behavior, think positively about the person as much as is possible. For example, “I saw this husband and wife fighting and cursing each other.” Say, “They were practicing to see if they can curse someone! They were joking!” “No, he was really angry! He broke a glass too.” [Say,] “He was acting to see if he knows how to act. The husband and wife wanted to see if they are able to break a glass like in films. It was for fun. What’s wrong with that?!”
A tradition says, “A believer thinks good thoughts about others as much as is possible.” If it wasn’t possible to think good about him, you shouldn’t look at him as a sinner the next morning. Why? He certainly repented last night. He had time until morning. He sinned yesterday. You shouldn’t judge him today. We have some rules in our religion, which bring calmness more than what exists in the west. We are more western than western people [in these cases]! No one should pry into what others do. No one should make a bad judgement about others. No one should backbite. No one should be suspicious about others. A believer should think good thoughts about others. If a believer acts according to his beliefs, his behavior is even more sophisticated than theirs is!
Some people told Imam Khomeini, “We should fire all the judges who were working during Shah’s time.” Imam Khomeini said, “No, why do you want to fire them?” They said, “As a rule, they aren’t believers!” Imam Khomeini said, “According to which rule?” Someone wanted to say something to finish it up. A judge should be just. Just [in terms of religion] means he has to be pious and not do sins openly. So he said, “Some of these judges shave their beards and you have forbidden this.” Imam Khomeini immediately responded, “I say it’s forbidden. Maybe there is another Religious Authority who says it’s not forbidden.”
This is being sophisticated. Let me give you a higher example. A rich man went from Qazvin to Najaf Ashraf to give his Khoms tax to Imam Khomeini. He related, “I wanted to give my Khoms and he asked me, ‘Is this your yearly Khoms?’ ‘Yes.’ ‘Who were you giving it to before?’” Imam Khomeini guessed that he had been giving his Khoms tax to another Religious Authority and had recently changed. The man responded, “I used to give it to Mr. …” who wasn’t very well-known. Imam Khomeini said, “Perhaps he has plans about how to use your Khoms and wants to give it to the seminary students. Or he is doing a cultural activity and is counting on receiving your Khoms every year. If you don’t give your Khoms to him this year, it will harm his plans. Give your Khoms to that same person this year too.”
This is being sophisticated, not what you see in western culture where people don’t care about each other due to their selfishness. But a religious person isn’t selfish. He cares due to his wanting to serve people and his being affectionate and kind! Why shouldn’t he care about others?
A person says, “I’m more comfortable there because no one cares what I do.” Why? Actually, you should go to a place where everyone cares about you and helps you! This is what will captivate the west. It’s the culture of religion. The world is waiting to see this. You see a small example of this in Arbaeen.

Our condolences to all the believers, all across the world, wherever they are, upon the holy months of Muharram and Safar.
This year, countless millions across the world once again proudly commemorated the mission of Imam Husayn ibn Ali (A) and most eagerly mourned over the martyrdom of Imam Husayn (A), and his family members and companions who accompanied his eminence into the divine hands of martyrdom as they stood up for Truth and Justice against the overwhelming forces of evil and falsehood.
And this year, once again, millions of people will gather around the pivot of Imam Husayn (A) on the Day of Arbaeen, commemorating the 40th day after his martyrdom.
What is the state of the world in the present-day where the global Taghut powers are in control?
And what kinds of evils and vices are being spread across the globe by the global Taghut powers?
What is the solution when it comes to all these different moral and ethical plagues that are engulfing the world?
And finally, what are three ways tin which he enemy wants to hijack and misguide the commemoration of the martyrdom and the Azaadari of Imam Husayn (A)?
In this Scholar Clip, Shaykh Ali Qomi explains the \\\"Three Traps of the Enemy\\\" and how we must steer clear from them if we are to succeed gong into the future as we save humanity from the clutches of evil and falsehood.
Salutations be upon Husayn!
Salutations be upon Ali ibne Husayn!
Salutations be upon the children of Husayn!
Salutations be upon the companions of Husayn!

What is one of the Sunnats of Allah?
Does Allah guide all of His creations towards the path of salvation or does He guide only a select few?
If one wants Allah\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s special guidance, what must they do?
And why would Allah not give this special guidance right from the beginning?
Furthermore, what verses from the holy Qur\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'an apply to this discussion?
And is it possible that there is a level of spiritual wayfaring where Allah, the Almighty, Himself takes the hand of a spiritual wayfarer and guides them?
Finally, what does it mean when we speak about \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"Allah\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s Special Guidance to Those Who Appreciate It\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"?
The late Ayatollah Misbah-Yazdi (R) provides us with a short, but profound lesson on the basics of loving Allah.

With all God’s power in designing and managing, He doesn’t have anything to do other than taking us on a journey! You just need to know and declare your faults to God at dawn [when praying]. Sit in the car for the rest of the day and God will take you.
If you pay attention to your faults for a while, it will become easy for you. You’ll see the enjoyable results and won’t fear seeing your faults. Then you’ll see more of your faults. And you’ll see God hasn’t asked you for anything other than for you to see your faults. Get up at dawn, review your faults [before God] and see how He will manage your life till night. God won’t let you make mistakes. He will allow you to do some deeds to uplift yourself. He’ll take you to the paths where less bad events will happen for you. Your life will be fun.
Have you seen how some people join tours that take them around? The tours ask people to join their group and they charge them too. People easily pay for such things and ask these tours to take them around. [They say,] “We don’t know which parts of this city are fun to see.” Tour leaders say, “I’ll take you around.” They stop at different places and explain for them. [In the same way,] Almighty God makes a person’s life like going on a picnic. You only need to know and declare your faults [to God] at dawn. Sit in the car for the rest of the day and God will take you. He says, “I have planned this for you today.” You yourself will start to realize what’s going on.
It’s like you’re sitting in a personal trailer, not in a bus with forty other people. I mean a recreational vehicle that’s like a complete house. It’s a nice house. Imagine if someone is there who explains for you, “I want to take you to these places today. I saw that you have that certain problem and this herb is good for you. So I’m taking you to the farm where they have it. Also, I see you need this certain kind of exercise. So I’ll take you to a mountain for climbing, and this will help heal your leg pain. You also have that other problem, and there is a place for mineral water on our way.” “How beautiful you design everything for me!”
God doesn’t have anything to do other than this! With all God’s power in designing and managing,
He doesn’t have anything to do other than taking us on a journey! [In the Qur’an] when God wants to say He’s giving the worst punishment to a person, He says, “I abandoned him.” The Holy Prophet of Islam would constantly pray, “O God, don’t ever leave me on my own for even the blink of an eye.” Don’t leave me on my own. Plan for me. Take me on a picnic. Take me like a tour leader who takes people around and shows things to them.
How does this come about? I swear this is the result of a person getting up at dawn and seeing and knowing his faults. With all God’s power in designing and managing, He doesn’t have anything to do other than taking us on a journey! Get up at dawn, review your faults [before God]
and see how He will manage your life till night.

What is a fundamental aspect of the nature of a nation and a people who have Eman and faith?
What did the Iranian people do vis-à-vis the so-called threats posed by the riots that occurred at the end of 2022?
What happened on the 13th of Aban, the 4th of Nov. 2022 vis-à-vis the presence of the Iranian people in defending and supporting the Islamic Revolution and the Islamic Republic?
And what did the Iranian masses do on the streets on the 13th of Aban 2022 vis-à-vis America, despite America\'s untiring efforts to make the opposite happen?
What does the attendance of huge crowds in the funeral ceremonies of even martyrs that are unknown, say about the Iranian masses?
Finally, why is important to always turn a threat into an opportunity?

What does America demand from the Islamic Republic of Iran?
And what is the only thing that will superficially resolve the issues between America and the Islamic Republic?
And if the Islamic Republic were to pay a ransom to America, would this be a one-time thing?
Does America ever stop at the first thing that it demands?
What does the term \'ransom\' mean when keeping this discussion in context?
Can negotiations bring about any positive change in the status quo between America and the Islamic Republic?
Ultimately, what is it that America really wants from the Islamic Republic?

To Follow Imam al-Mahdi (A), You Need To Know Imam al-Mahdi (A) | Sister Spade | English

What do you need to do if you want to follow the Master of the Age, Imam al-Mahdi (A)?
And what kind of knowledge do we need if we want to be a supporter of the Savior of Humanity, Imam al-Mahdi - may Allah hasten his reappearance?
And we all know that knowledge is necessary to be a supporter of Imam al-Mahdi (A), but is knowledge where the buck stops?
What other things are necessary for us to do, if we want to be a supporter of Imam al-Mahdi(A)?
What does the Messenger of Allah (S) say about the people who are \'lucky\' and blessed?
What does it mean to \'edit\' our behavior in order to become a supporter of the Imam of the Age, Imam al-Mahid (A), and what do we add and delete to our behavior?
What does Imam Ja\'far al-Sadiq (A) say about the requirements of an individual who wants to be a supporter and helper of the Hidden Imam, Imam al-Mahdi (A)?
Finally, what does Imam al-Mahdi (A) say dissatisfies them (A), vis-à-vis something that is related to us?
Sister Spade explains and answers these questions and more, based upon selections from the book, The Essence of Creation, 3rd edition, as she speaks about how if we want \"To Follow al-Imam Mahdi (A), You Need To Know Imam al-Mahdi (A)\".
And once you get to know the Imam of Your Time, the Savior of Humanity, Imam al-Mahdi (A), your life will change for forever, wherever you are.

Is there a difference between Imam Husayn (A) and Imam al-Mahdi (A) as far as their goals are concerned?
And is it enough to merely go on \\\'The Great Arbaeen Walk\\\' if one wants to join the camp of Imam Husayn (A)?
And are the behaviors in our daily lives in accordance with the mission and the aims of the revolution Imam Husayn (A)?
And finally, if God forbid, for some reason, we were not on the side of Truth and Justice, is there still time to make amends?
Sister Spade explains in this Arbaeen special in ode to the Arbaeen of Imam Husayn (A).
Our condolences to the believers, all across the world, wherever you are, upon the Arbaeen of Sayyid al-Shuhada Imam al-Husayn (A), his beloved family members, and his devout companions.
Salutations be upon the Master of Martyrs!
Salutations be upon the esteemed Husayn!
Salutations be upon the esteemed Ali ibn Husayn!
Salutations be upon the innocent children of Husayn!
Salutations be upon the loyal companions of Husayn!

One of the main attacks against the system of Wilayat al-Faqih is asking, \"of what use is the Wali al-Faqih in the first place?\".
And so, of what use is the Wali al-Faqih?
What are some of the things that the Wali al-Faqih, Sayyid Ali Khamenei has done so far for the Islamic Republic of Iran in his tenure?
And if Imam Sayyid Ali Khamenei wasn\'t the Wali al-Faqih, what would be his eminence\'s standing on the global level?
And what did Shaheed Haj Qasem Soleimani say is the most important factor and calculation if one wants to have \'a good end\'?
And finally, what is one of the greatest Jihad al-Tabyiins of the present-day?
Sayyid Muhammad Husayn Raji tells us \"Of What Use Is the Wali al-Faqih\".
