A demonstration was held in the village of Al Walaja, Bethlehem, against Israel\'s plans to build a wall that will encircle the village and isolate the residents from Bethlehem.
When the wall is complete, there will be one entrance into the village where 500 people reside, that will be guarded by Israeli soldiers. The entrance will isolate the villagers from the nearby village of Beit Jala and the centre of Bethlehem.
The protesters marched towards the gate where they were met with Israeli soldiers who forbade them from passing.
The Israeli soldiers then attacked the protesters using sound grenade and tear gas. They then sprayed one protester directly in the eyes with pepper spray.
Munder continued to explain how this would personally affect the residents of Al Walaje village.
This is the third gate that has been erected in the village, two of which have been closed by the Israeli army. On Wednesday, the al Walaja village council stated that the new gate would cause serious issues as the road us used regularly by the residents and it will block them from farming their agricultural land nearby. It will furthermore prevent school children from accessing their local school in Beit Jala.
The villagers and Popular committee have called upon international human rights groups to take immediate action to remove the Israeli gate.
As you can see this gate behind us is now isolating the villagers of al Walaja from Bethlehem and they are now planning on building a wall that will completely encircle al Walaja village separating and isolating them inside.

Nasrallah defends Hezbollah fighting extremists in Syrian town of Qusayr
Hezbollah Secretary-General Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah has defended the Lebanese resistance movement\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s decision to fight foreign-backed militants in the Syrian border town of al-Qusayr.
Nasrallah made the remarks on Saturday during a ceremony marking the 13th anniversary of the withdrawal of Israeli troops from southern Lebanon, known as the Liberation Day.
The Hezbollah leader said if foreign-backed militants win the war on Syria, they will turn their weapons on Lebanon.
Nasrallah further pointed out that the extremist Salafist groups form the backbone of the unrest in Syria, adding that the US-backed armed groups are also a threat to all Lebanese communities.
The Syrian army pressed ahead to liberate al-Qusayr in Homs Province fully from the foreign-backed militants on Saturday, seizing al-Daba\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'a military airport north of the town.
The army also regained control of the Ba\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'ath Party headquarters in the strategic town that borders Lebanon, killing large numbers of foreign-backed militants. The government forces have inflicted losses on the militants and destroyed their weaponry and equipment.
Nasrallah said the ongoing war in Syria is part of an American project to change the balance of power in the region in favor of the Israeli regime.
He, however, promised victory against the Salafist groups in Syria.
\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"I say to all the honorable people, to the Mujahedeen, to the heroes: I have always promised you a victory and now I pledge to you a new one\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\" in Syria, he said.
\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"We will continue along the road ... bear the responsibilities and the sacrifices. This battle is ours ... and I promise you victory,\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\" he said.
The leader of the resistance movement also dismissed accusations that Hezbollah is a sectarian movement.

News has just come out that the Justice Department secretly collected two months of telephone records for reporters and editors at The Associated Press.
The records included calls from several AP bureaus and the personal phone lines of several staffers, AP President Gary Pruitt has called the subpoenas a \"massive and unprecedented intrusion\" into its reporting.\"
These records potentially reveal communications with confidential sources across all of the newsgathering activities undertaken by the AP during a two-month period, provide a road map to AP\'s newsgathering operations and disclose information about AP\'s activities and operations that the government has no conceivable right to know,\" wrote Pruitt, the news agency\'s CEO.
The AP reported that the government has not said why it wanted the records. But it noted that US officials have said they were probing how details of a foiled bomb plot that targeted a US-bound aircraft leaked in May 2012.
On this episode of Inside Out, Susan Modaress takes an in-depth look at the cyber security of the United States in the Obama administration.
