There is no doubt Muharram this year is different for Shia muslims around the world as a result of COVID-19. Many places are still on lockdown and so people cannot go to majalis to commemorate the sacrifice of Imam Hussain (AS). Regardless, nothing can stop us from spreading his message. This Muharram, we are blessed to have around the clock lectures and many are saying they don’t have enough time in the day to watch them all! We’ve decided to create Muharram highlight videos so we can benefit from many of the very knowledgeable scholars.

[27] The Essence of Kufr | Ayatollah Misbah-Yazdi | Farsi Sub English

And what is an integral aspect of the Kuffar?...
In Ayatollah Misba-Yazdi\\\\\\\'s opinion, what is one of the most astonishing and perhaps even shocking verses of the holy Qur\\\\\\\'an?
And what is an integral aspect of the Kuffar?
Furthermore, what happens to a person who prefers this world over the hereafter?
And what causes a person to deny the Truth?
In addition, what is one of the reasons that we are lazy when it comes to our Salah?
And what is the maximum limit of the Islamically acceptable love that one can have for the world?
Finally, what is the essence of Kufr?
The answers might surprise you, but they were always there in plain sight; as clear as day.
The late Ayatollah Misbah-Yazdi (R) provides us with a short, but profound lesson on the basics of loving Allah.

Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei narrates and explains a tradition narrated from the 4th divinely appointed Imam, Imam Ali ibne Husayn al-Sajjad (A), speaks about the 4 qualities that complete one\\\'s Islam.
But what are those 4 qualities that are so important, that they complete your Islam?
And what are the rights of Allah?
Where does a person\\\'s tongue fall in this context?
Is shame a variable to be taken into account when a person commits a sin?
Finally, is having good relations with one\\\'s family limited to only men?
Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei expounds upon the wise words of the 4th divinely appointed Imam, Imam Ali ibne Husayn al-Sajjad (A).

We should tell everyone, “See your good points, so that you may gain energy to move forward.” When they say not to see your good points since you will become arrogant, this means if you see some goodness in yourself and stop. This is bad. But if you see your good points and gain energy to move forward, this is a beneficial self-awareness. Actually the peak of self-awareness is not seeing our bad points; it’s seeing our good points. Be so drowned in seeing your good points that you feel you can’t live without reaching the peak. You should honor yourself very much.
Imam Ali (as) said, «مَن کَرُمَت نفسُهُ هانَت علیهِ الشَّهَوات» “If someone honors himself, carnal desires will become contemptible to him.” [He’ll say,] “What’s this?! This isn’t right for my status.” The peak of self-awareness is for a person to understand his value. What is one of the good points we have right now? We should truly honor ourselves for this. One truly becomes excited when he sees this goodness. It is that we are not jealous of the Friends of God. We feel an affection for them. We are not arrogant toward them; we are humble and sympathetic toward them. This is very important!
My friends, if we look carefully at ourselves to see what it is we want, we’ll weep day and night because we are far from the Imam of the Time (aj). We’ll weep day and night begging God, “Don’t let my house be far from the house of the Commander of the Faithful (as) in Heaven.” This is what we want. This is a part of us. We don’t say, “Unfortunately, this tendency is not very strong in me.” This exists within you! How can I tell you this? You already have this!
The Arafah Supplication talks more about thanking God for His blessings than asking for forgiveness for our bad points. This is surprising! Imam Husayn (as) is drowned in this. If one gets close to Imam Husayn (as), the Imam will start showing that person his goodness. You participate in Imam Husayn’s (as) mourning ceremony wearing a black shirt. Then he starts. He’ll say, “See how good you are. You love me. You cry for me. See how good you are!” He increases your energy and uplifts your spirits. We should tell everyone, “See your good points, so that you may gain energy to move forward.”

==============================
We want God to give us security. We want to seek refuge in God as a result of having experienced insecurity. What do we need to know to make this come about better? What is it? God\'s power. His power!
I will tell you now. Read the Qur\'an a lot. God, the Almighty, seriously intends to convince everyone who reads these verses that He is the first and last power in the universe. He wants to prove to you that He is a superpower, and actually He is the only power.
God is the absolute power. He does whatever He wants. He forgives, guides and grants sustenance to whomever He wants. [Qur’an 3:129, 74:31, 2:212] He attributes many things to Himself. “We [God] created heaven and earth. We said this and that.” God creates an upheaval! A person gradually accepts this.
Therefore, I ask you to first look at the Qur\'an as an educational, spiritually effective, constructive book, not as a book that should be translated scientifically to take rulings and lessons from it. Let it correct you.
For example, they give eggplant stew to someone in a laboratory and say, “Test this and see if it’s good or not. Check the amount of vitamins in it.” This scientist won’t eat it even if he is dying from hunger. He wants to test this food. Many of us who go toward the Qur’an act like this scientist in the laboratory does. “Let’s see what’s in it.” Eat it! Eat it! You’re weak from hunger. Consume the Qur’an!
For example, one is listening to music. [Someone says,] “You’re listening to music a lot. You really enjoy it!” [He replies,] “No, I’ve been asked to write down the lyrics of these 100 songs. That’s what I’m doing. I don’t like them at all. I can’t relate to them. I don’t know their genres or anything about them.” This is a meaningless connection with music. The purpose of music is not for you to write the lyrics! A person who does this is a researcher and doesn’t understand the elements of music. He doesn’t fly with music.
Does anyone fly with music? Yes, as much as a hen can fly! But with the Qur’an, one flies to God Himself. He flies through the atmosphere and through the galaxy.
Once there was an art student in the university who was also a painter. As I was walking through the university campus, I saw him painting. There was a small cassette player next to him playing music. I asked him very cautiously, “Why are you listening to this music?” He said, “Music makes the soul more delicate, and I am doing something delicate now. I want this delicacy to be conveyed.” He was right. I said, “If I suggest something, will you try it? Listen to the Qur’an for a while.” He said, “Qur’an?” I remember he said this in surprise. I answered, “Yes, see if it has the same effect.”
I went to that same college the next month. He came to me very upset! I asked myself, “What should I do now? It seems my suggestion wasn’t appropriate for him.” He was truly upset. He came forward and said angrily, “I’ve wasted my life! Why hadn’t I ever done this before? You don’t know what an impact this has had on me!” He was ahead of the one who had suggested this!
Use the Qur’an. Recite the Qur’an a lot. God, the Almighty, seriously intends to convince everyone who reads these verses that He is the first and last power in the universe. He wants to prove to you that He is a superpower, and actually He is the only power.

Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei narrates and explains a tradition from Tuhaf al-Uqool where the Messenger of Allah, the holy Prophet Muhammad (S) gives some advice to the 1st divinely appointed Imam, Imam Ali ibne Abi Talib (A).
What are some pieces of advice that the holy Prophet Muhammad (S) has given to the Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali (A)?
And what are the four things that bring about divine punishment the quickest?
How does Allah treat a person who treats others badly, while they are treated nicely by them?
And how does Allah deal with a person who harbors animosity towards one who doesn\\\'t harbor animosity towards them?
And how important is to keep relations of kinship intact?
Finally, what happens to one who constantly breaks agreements, while the other party constantly keeps their agreements?

Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei expounds upon the wise words of the Messenger of Allah, the holy Prophet Muhammad (S).

Our condolences to all the believers, all across the world, wherever they are, upon the holy months of Muharram and Safar.
This year, countless millions across the world once again proudly commemorated the mission of Imam Husayn ibn Ali (A) and most eagerly mourned over the martyrdom of Imam Husayn (A), and his family members and companions who accompanied his eminence into the divine hands of martyrdom as they stood up for Truth and Justice against the overwhelming forces of evil and falsehood.
Is the commemoration of Imam Husayn (A) limited to just the first ten days of Muharram?
And has the commemoration of Imam Husayn (A) merely become a habit or ritual for some people?
What happens if we merely stick to the rituals of the commemoration of Imam Husayn (A)?
What must every single Shia remind themselves of as they commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Husayn (A)?
Why, at times, are we not able to make fundamental changes in ourselves or our societies despite attending countless mourning gatherings for Imam Husayn (A)?
What are the signs of being a companion of the Messenger of Allah (S) as stated by the holy Quran?
Can you be a superficially religious person, but still be in the camp of Yazid?
Why have some of our esteemed scholars in the light of the teachings of Islam considered remaining neutral to be siding with the camp of falsehood?
And why would a person decide to remain neutral despite the clarity between Truth and falsehood?
What was the essence of the movement of Imam Husayn (A) and what characteristics does it require?
And what did Imam Husayn (A) say to Ubaydullah ibn Hur al-Jofi?
What does Imam Sadiq (A) say about a certain group of so-called Shias at the time of reappearance of the 12th Imam?
And what does paying a price have to do with the answers to these questions?
And should we be afraid to speak the Truth?
And what are the dangers of leaving the commemoration of Imam Husayn (A) to a mere habit and ritual?
Finally, what are some groups that are responsible for and what are some practical things that we can all do in order to move the commemoration of Imam Husayn (A) forward from a mere annual ritual?
In order to answer these questions and more, we humbly invited Sayyid Muhammad Hashemi from the Islamic Republic of Iran and explain to us, \\\"Is The Commemoration of Imam Husayn (A) A Mere Ritual?\\\"

Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei narrates and explains a tradition stated by the Messenger of Allah, the holy Prophet Muhammad (S), where his eminence (S) speaks about the results of \\\"The Combination of Forbearance and Knowledge\\\".
Yet, what is the most virtuous of combinations?
What is the correct definition of forbearance?
What is a practical example of forbearance?
How should a person act when they are angered?
And on the other hand, how should a person act when they are elated?
What is an unintended consequence of knowledge?

Our condolences to all the believers, all across the world, wherever they are, upon the holy months of Muharram and Safar.
This year, countless millions across the world once again proudly commemorated the mission of Imam Husayn ibn Ali (A) and most eagerly mourned over the martyrdom of Imam Husayn (A), and his family members and companions who accompanied his eminence into the divine hands of martyrdom as they stood up for Truth and Justice against the overwhelming forces of evil and falsehood.
And once again, millions of people from all over the world gathered around the pivot of Imam Husayn (A) on the Day of Arbaeen, commemorating the 40th day after the martyrdom of Imam Husayn (A).
Yet, what is the \\\'Project of Towheed\\\'?
And what was the project that was ordained upon all the previous Messenger, and up to the Prophet Muhammad (S) and the divinely appointed Imams (A)?
How does the Arbaeen of Imam Husayn (A) play a role in this project?
What is one of the things that is achieved when we attend the Arbaeen of Imam Husayn (A)?
What is the ultimate culmination of the \\\'Project of Towheed\\\'?
And what role does the Islamic Revolution and the Islamic Republic play in the \\\'Project of Towheed\\\'?
And likewise, what role do the righteous scholars such as Imam Khomeini (R) and Imam Khamenei play in the \\\'Project of Towheed\\\'?
What is the personality of the righteous religious scholars when they are the true followers of the \\\"Project of Towheed\\\'?
What does Imam Khomeini (R) say about the behaviors of Prophet Isa (A) and Prophet Musa (A) as regards to the Taghut of their own times?
If the other Prophets (A) of the past or the other Imams (A) had been faced with the situation of Imam Husayn (A), how would have they behaved?
And what happens when a person is corrupt or misguided and then tries to \\\'create\\\' knowledge; whether it be scientific, philosophical, or religious?
What role does the Islamic Republic and the Islamic Revolution play when it comes to the reappearance of the 12th Imam (A)?
And will the actions of the 12th Imam (A) be a mere conglomeration of miracles?
How is Wali al-Faqih and the Islamic Republic\\\'s system in accordance with the \\\'Project of Towheed\\\'?
And finally, if the Islamic Republic was a person, how would it compare to the other systems of the world?
In order to answer these questions and more, we humbly invited Sayyid Agha Ali Raza from the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to help explain and answer for us, \\\"What Is Allah\\\'s Universal Project of Towheed?\\\"

What is faith? Faith is something that eliminates your useless entanglements and makes you ready to understand this point that the only thing worth living for is the excitement of getting close to God. How close have I become to Him?
Our likings and fears are keeping us busy. These don’t let us see our high goal in life, which is getting close to God. What does faith do? Faith wants to give us peace of mind so that we can abandon the games they have designed for our minds and our hearts’ entertainments. It keeps you safe in calamities and fears. It keeps you safe from the harms of the sweet points in life! Do you know what is one of the harms of this sweetness? When you experience this sweetness, you’ll be repelled by it afterwards. This is one of its harms.
[One might think,] “Having too much calm is not good either! If I’m too calm, I won’t work anymore. If I’m too calm, where will I experience excitements? People want a life with excitement. But by talking about faith, you are calming everything down. The excitement of marriage! Thinking about what will happen! The excitement of having a relationship. Excitement…”
But God says, “These excitements are not enough for you. I’m not against excitements. I want to give you a deeper excitement.” People pay money to be in an exciting atmosphere. One says, “If we don’t have such excitements, we’ll rot.” He’s right. One cannot live without excitements. But what does God say? He says, “I want to give you a deeper excitement.” Nothing will remain from these excitements for you afterwards, and you’ll feel upset. And they’re not useful for you. What happens? You became rich? You used all your money. What was added to you? And you’re bored by these too.
One says, “I’ve seen this show before and I’m tired of it. Couldn’t we go to a different show?” “I’ve seen this movie before.” “I’ve gone to this amusement park before.” So he goes to do something else. He is constantly trying different things. People say, “Islam is against us having excitements.” But Islam is against our wrong lifestyle. Islam has announced many relations are unlawful. Why? They have some sort of excitement, but Islam says, “Why do you waste yourself for such excitements? You won’t gain anything afterwards. Instead, have a serious excitement.
Pure Lady Fatimah Zahra (as) would pray in such a way that she experienced spiritual excitement and its effects could be seen in her appearance. Even if we have the best worldly life, we won’t have such excitements even once a year. The spiritual excitements are without harms, but those excitements have many harms. Spiritual excitements are useful, but those excitements are harmful. Spiritual excitements are eternal.
I confess to you that I don’t believe in a god whom when one goes to him for the second time, it feels like the first time again [in terms of enjoyment]. I don’t believe in such a god. God is not like this. It is said in the traditions that on the eve before Fridays, the Friends of God receive a new understanding of God. Their new understanding is such that when they look back, it’s as if they didn’t know God before. But such a thing doesn’t happen in our lives even once! See what excitement they experience.
What does having faith do? It takes away false excitements so that there is space for the main excitement. What is the name of that main excitement? “Getting close to God.” I want to get close to God. How should we communicate with God? The way is to have faith. Faith cuts your dependance on others. That is why the main dhikr of faith is«لا إله إلّا الله» [There is no god but Allah]. What does “Ilah [god]” mean? It means whoever you’re infatuated with.«لا إله إلّا الله» I’m not infatuated with anyone but God.
Faith gives a person this safety. Faith tells a person, “Forget the sweetness and bitterness of the world. You don’t want the small excitements from the sweetness of this world, nor do you want the useless fears. Let me give you safety.” Faith wants to give us peace of mind so that we can abandon the games they have designed for our minds and our hearts’ entertainments.

One of the factors that expands one\'s capacity, which we discussed last night, is good manners and morals [akhlaq], especially at home and with one\'s family. The Holy Prophet (s), who had the most and highest level of capacity, had the best etiquette of all creation. In this regard, his (s) capacity was great.
May God have mercy on Shaheed Beheshti. In his memoirs, he writes that I asked Imam Khomeini, \"During the time when you were young in Qom, who taught the class on etiquette and morals [akhlaq]?\" Imam Khomeini said that when I was young, there was no class on etiquette and morals [akhlaq]. There were individuals who embodied good etiquette and morals, who we learned from them through their actions.
No one sat and taught good etiquette and morals [akhlaq] in a class. There were individuals who embodied good akhlaq. Individuals like Ayatollah Abdul Karim Haeri Yazdi, whose entire conduct and behaviors embodied good akhlaq. I will give you one example. Notice how if someone were to see this, for the rest of their life, they would not forget it.
One day, it was raining, and it had rained very much. At that time, Qom had dirt roads, not asphalt roads- so when it rained, the streets would become muddy. Once a seminary student was passing through one of these streets. He was moving quickly in order to make it in time for his lesson. [As he was walking], he stepped in a muddy pit, and one of his shoes got stuck inside the muddy pit. He limped over to a wall and stood their one-legged wondering what he would do now. At that moment, Ayatollah Abdul Karim Haeri Yazdi, the great marja\' taqlid who truly was a great man. He was also elderly. From his place of study, which was in a mosque close by, Ayatollah Abdul Karim Haeri Yazdi came out and saw this seminary student standing with one leg while his shoe was stuck in the mud. He took off his own shoes and put it on the foot of the seminary student. He told him wear this and go to your lesson. This seminary student was shocked and said, \"Agha, I will think of something to do.\" Ayatollah Abdul Karim Haeri Yazdi without any shoes said, \"No, my home is close by. I will go home and wash my feet. You go to your studies.\"
Now look at this, for this eldery maraj\' taqlid to have an interaction like this with a youth, this is better than a thousand lessons of akhlaq given verbally. In fact, etiquette and morals [akhlaq], gnosticism [irfan], training and education [tarbiyat], before they are to be read about in books or heard in lectures, they must be seen. A person must see someone who is like this, not just hear about it or read about it in books. They must see someone like this.
Allamah Majlesi, may God be pleased with him, who compiled the \"Bihar al-Anwar\" and was a great person- on Thursday nights, he used to gather his family and speak to them for 30 minutes. He would tell them a narration [hadith], give them admonishments and advice, tell them some Islamic rulings, and recite a eulogy. He would speak to them for 30 minutes. But this Allamah Majlesi, who would speak to them for 30 minutes, he would act on these for an entire week. When his children would see his actions, akhlaq, kindness, compassion, and honesty, his 30 minutes of speaking had a deep effect within the depths of their being.
I will never forget this. There was a successful mother who lived in Tehran. She had four children who each of them was better, nobler, more religious, and more respecful than the next. They were also very educated. They asked this successful mother that how were you able to raise such good kids? Nowadays, parents don\'t have much influence over their children. It is truly like this. So they asked this successful mother that how did you raise such good kids? She said something very wise. She said that whatever I wanted my children to become, I myself practiced. That which I wanted my children to be, I myself became it.

Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei narrates and explains a tradition from the 4th divinely appointed Imam, Imam Ali ibn Husayn al-Sajjad (A), where his eminence (A) speaks about \\\"Hasab, Karam, Niyyah, and the Imam\\\'s Sunnah\\\".
Yet, what does the Arabic word \\\'Hasab\\\' mean?
How is \\\'Hasab\\\' attained?
And what does the Arabic word \\\'Nasab\\\' mean?
And in Imam Sajjad (A)\\\'s environment, what does his eminence (A) say that is 180 degrees in contrast to what was being said by the people?
Is humbleness and humility merely related to the actions of a person or is there a deeper more profound effect of humbleness and humility?
What does the Arabic word \\\'Karam\\\' mean?
And where does true \\\'Karam\\\' stem from?
What verse of the holy Qur\\\'an speaks about \\\'Karam\\\'?
And even though action is a manifestation of intention, what is the reality of an action without an intention?
Finally, who is the most despised person by Allah and how is this related to an Imam\\\'s Sunnah?
Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei expounds upon the wise words of the 4th divinely appointed Imam, Imam Ali ibn Husayn al-Sajjad (A), where his eminence (A) explains, \\\"Hasab, Karam, Niyyah, and the Imam\\\'s Sunnah\\\".

What happens when a person truly begins to love the Almighty Allah?
What happens when Allah begin to love a human being?
Does Allah ignore any aspect of our lives, when it comes to Him paying attention to?
What are some of the effects that happen to a human being when Allah loves them?
What happens when Allah opens the eyes of one\\\\\\\'s heart?
And at what times does Allah begin to speak to a human being?
And who becomes the companion of a person when Allah begins to love them?
Finally, how is it possible that \\\\\\\"Allah Will Speak To You\\\\\\\"?
The late Ayatollah Misbah-Yazdi (R) provides us with a short, but profound lesson on the basics of loving Allah.

Welcome to the Islamic Pulse Talk Show.
In this episode we\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'re talking about the uprising of the people of the holy city of Qom, which occurred on the 19th of Dey 1356 Solar-Hijri Calendar, which was January 9, 1978 Gregorian calendar.
Yet, what exactly happened on the 19th of Dey, a day which is commemorated annually in the Islamic Republic of Iran, and why is it so important?
What are just a few of the well-known traditions regarding the holy city of Qom?
In what era of Islamic history was the holy city of Qom already a bastion of the Shia world and the followers of the Ahlul Bayt (A)?
What are some less well-known traditions regarding the holy city of Qom?
What role does lady Fatima Masuma (A) play, in making the city of Qom, a city of revolution?
According the Imam Ja\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'far al-Sadiq (A), Qom is whose Haram and holy sanctuary?
What are some traditions narrated to us from Imam Ja\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'far al-Sadiq (A), Imam Ali al-Redha (A), Imam Muhammad al-Jawad (A), and Imam Musa al-Kadhim (A), that are related to our overall discussion?
What is one potential reason why we find in the traditions that some person or some action is considered so valuable, that Heaven becomes obligatory for visiting such a person or doing a certain action?
What does it mean when we say that one must perform their Ziyarat with Ma\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'ferat?
What is an interesting tradition regarding the naming of the holy city of Ziyarat?
What does Imam Ja\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'far al-Sadiq (A) say about the holy city of Qom and the people of the city of Qom?
What does Imam Musa al-Kadhim (A) say about a man from Qom who will rise up?
What is one of the greatest calamities that we face, as regards to where we live in the world?
And with all the beautiful traditions regarding the holy city of Qom, why would we want to live anywhere else in the world?
And if we can\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'t move to the city of Qom, what should we do, wherever we are?
And finally, what is the connection between \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"The City of Qom and The Rising of the Mahdi (A)\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"?
To answer these questions and more, we humbly invited Sayyid Amir Behbahani from Canada, to sit down with us and speak a little bit about \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"The City of Qom and The Rising of the Mahdi (A).

Welcome to the Islamic Pulse Talk Show.
In this episode we\\\\\\\'re talking about the recent episode of burning the Holy Quran in Sweden by Swedish citizen and Danish politician Rasmus Paludan on January 21, 2023. We\\\\\\\'re also discussing why Charlie Hebdo released the offensive caricatures of Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei.
What kind of an individual would burn the holy Quran, a book deeply respected and loved by well over 1.5 billion Muslims all across the world, and many many non-Muslims as well?
And isn\\\\\\\'t it dangerous for a person to have such kind of extreme hatred in their hearts to the point where they would burn another religion\\\\\\\'s holy book, and also have a political position in the government?
And who is ultimately behind the burning of the holy Quran, the desecration of religious sanctities, and what are some of their motives?
What are some of the reactions that a person would give in the face of such kinds of inciteful acts of hatred and Islamophobia?
How should we react to these kinds of inciteful and Islamophobic acts of hatred?
Why would an individual want to live in a country where they are considered to be second or even third-class citizens by the governmental establishment, and at times, the overall majority of the population?
What is \\\\\\\'secular intolerance\\\\\\\' and \\\\\\\'secular extremism\\\\\\\', and why is it so dangerous, especially within the context of \\\\\\\'secular terrorism\\\\\\\'?
What is a beautiful verse of the holy Quran that puts all these things into perspective?
Why were some unfortunate cartoons made of Imam Sayyid Ali Khamenei, an individual respected and revered by countless Muslims and non-Muslims alike?
And can some pitiful cartoons made by a trash and pornographic magazine from a country that is breaking apart at the seams, really bring down the spiritual status of a revered religious leader such as Imam Sayyid Ali Khamenei?
What is one of the reasons why the great plot created by the Arrogant Powers and seen in the recent rioting in Iran, failed miserably?
And what does the burning of the holy Quran, and the cartoons of Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei, and previously of the Messenger of Allah (S), signal about the current condition of the enemies of Islam?
Has the communist model survived long enough to provide for the worldly welfare of humanity?
And what is the current state of the capitalist model, who also claims to be able to provide for the worldly welfare of humanity?
Finally, what makes Islam different from the above-mentioned man-made failed models?
To answer these questions and more, we humbly invited Shaykh Ali Qomi from the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, to sit down with us and speak a little bit about these topics as we speak about the recent events of \\\\\\\"Burning The Holy Quran & Caricatures of Ayatollah Khamenei\\\\\\\".

Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei narrates and explains a tradition narrated from the Messenger of Allah (S), the holy Prophet Muhammad (S), where his eminence (S) tells us all, \\\\\\\"Use The Provisions Allah Has Given You\\\\\\\".
What did the Messenger of Allah (S) say when he saw a person who was untidy and messy looking?
Ultimately, Who gives us the provisions and blessings that we have in our lives?
Is the concept of Zuhd in contradiction to a person\\\\\\\'s using and benefiting from the blessings given to them by Allah?
What must one keep in mind when benefiting from the blessings given to them by Allah?
What does the late Mullah Faiz Kashani write about this matter being discussed?
And in era where most people didn\\\\\\\'t have mirrors, what did the people use in order to make sure that they looked orderly and tidy?
What would the Messenger of Allah (S) do before he left his house in order to meet his companions?

Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei narrates and explains a tradition narrated from the Messenger of Allah (S), the holy Prophet Muhammad (S), where his eminence (S) tells us all to be wary of \\\\\\\"The Repercussions of Satisfying People, Yet Angering Allah\\\\\\\".
What happens to a person who will risk incurring the wrath and punishment of Allah, in order to gain the satisfaction and acceptance of people?
And is this acceptance merely limited to words, or does it include actions and behaviors as well?
And how does this advice of the Messenger of Allah (S) apply to the religious scholars and Muslim intellectuals?
What advice does Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei give to people who are in contact with the society in the Tabligh and propagation efforts?
And how will the person who one tries to satisfy react, after one has tried to satisfy them despite incurring the wrath of Allah?

And on the other hand, what happens when one prioritizes the satisfaction of Allah, despite incurring the wrath of the people?
Finally, what are \\\\\\\"The Repercussions of Satisfying People, Yet Angering Allah\\\\\\\"?
Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei expounds upon the wise words of the Messenger of Allah (S), the holy Prophet Muhammad (S), where his eminence (S) gives the people a warning regarding \\\\\\\"The Repercussions of Satisfying People, Yet Angering Allah\\\\\\\".

Wary of the Weak and the Lazy\\\".
Why should one not seek the help of a person who is lazy?
Why should one not seek advice from a person who is weak?
And what are some other kinds of people that one must not seek advice from?
Finally, are the aforementioned pieces of advice limited to merely one\\\'s private life, or does
it encompass a much wider circle?

Do you know why we don’t repent, worship, do good deeds or endeavor to have a good intention very much? Because we think we always have these opportunities! That’s it.
There is a very old joke. It may not seem as funny nowadays. A person was told, “If you want money, go to Tehran. It’s all over the place there [meaning it’s easy to make money there].” “Really?!” “Yes.” When he got off the bus, he saw a bill on the ground next to his foot. He thought, “It’s really true that money is all over the place in Tehran. I’ll start collecting from tomorrow. I have come a long distance and I’m tired now.”
The next day, he asked the motel, “Do you have a bag?” “What do you want it for?” “I want to collect money,” he said. “From where?” “They said it’s all over the place!” he replied. “Yesterday when I got off the bus, I saw a bill,” he continued. “You should have picked up that bill! It’s not like that.”
Many people think like this. “I’ll do it later.” God doesn’t like such an attitude. Are you sure you will have a chance in the future?! Who will give you this chance? When a good deed comes to your mind, does it come for no reason? O God, I should repent very much for the times when it occurred to me to come to You, but I told myself I’ll do it later. I thought I will always have these opportunities. It is said that when something good comes to your heart, don’t ignore it! Think, “An angel has inspired this thought in me!”
See how the Immaculate Ones talk to God. They have said that when you want to talk to God, imagine that this is your last chance. Think, “Will there be any other opportunities? Will I have such an opportunity again?” We don’t think like this. We think we always have such opportunities! But the Immaculate Imams tell us there aren’t always these opportunities! This is the last chance. It is said, “Appreciate the opportunities you have. They pass by like a cloud passing by.”
It’s like small, scattered clouds that come into the sky for a short time. When you look again, they’re not there anymore. This is how opportunities are. The Commander of the Faithful, Ali (as), has said this and not just any person! He knows the universe better than others. He said that this is how we should look at matters.
One of these opportunities is the Night of Destiny and the month of Ramadan. There are many opportunities that we miss unfortunately. We have been told to read the Jawshan Kabeer Supplication on the Nights of Destiny. A door to Heaven has opened for us! Don’t read even one line of the Jawshan Kabeer Supplication negligently. Don’t call God by even one of His attributes in the Jawshan Kabeer Supplication negligently. “God, did You hear me? I am saying this to You. O He Who plans the day and the night. O He Who gives the sustenance of the small child. O God, did You hear me? I said this about You! See.” Whether you cry or not, pay attention while you are saying these and they will have an effect on the world!

[5] Imam Ali Responds to Mua'wiyah's Threat of War | Sheikh Azhar Nasser | English

You have said that I was dragged like a camel with a nose string to swear allegiance (to Abu Bakr at Saqifah). By the Eternal Allah, you had intended to revile me but you have praised me, and to humiliate me but have yourself been humiliated. What humiliation does it mean for a Muslim to be the victim of oppression so long as he does not entertain any doubt in his religion, nor any misgiving in his firm belief! This argument of mine is intended for others, but I have stated it to you only in so far as it was appropriate.
Then you have recalled my position vis-a- vis \'Uthman, and in this matter an answer is due to you because of your kinship with him. So (now tell me), which of us was more inimical towards \'Uthman and who did more to bring about his killing; or who offered him his support but he made him sit down and stopped him; or who was he whom he called for help but who turned his face from him and drew his death near him till his fate over took him? No, no; by Allah:
Indeed knoweth Allah those who hinder others among you and those who say unto their brethren \"Come hitherunto us\", and they come not to fight but a little. (Qur\'an 33:18)
I am not going to offer my excuse for reproving him for (some of) his innovations, for if my good counsel and guidance to him was a sin then very often a person who is blamed has no sin and “sometimes the only reward a counseller 4 reaps is suspicion (of evil)”.
I desired naught but reform what I am able to (do); and my guidance is not but with Allah; On Him (alone) do I rely, and unto Him (alone) do I turn. (Qur\'an, 11:88)
You have mentioned that for me and for my followers you have only the sword. This makes even a weeping person laugh. Did you ever see the descendants of \'Abd al-Muttalib running away from battle, or being frightened by swords? \"Wait a little till Hamal 5 joins the battle\" shortly, then he whom you are seeking will seek you and he whom you think to be far away will approach near you. I am (shortly) speeding towards you with a force of Muhajirun and Ansar and those who follow them in virtue. Their number will be great and their dust will spread all round. They will be wearing their shrouds and their most coveted desire is to meet Allah. They will be accompanied by the descendants of those who took part in the battle of Badr, and they will have Hashimite swords whose cut you have already seen in the case of your brother, maternal uncle, your grandfather and your kinsmen.
Nor are they far distant from the unjust ones. (Qur\'an, 11:83)

Who was Hashim ibn Utbah al-Mirqal?
In this episode of Unsung Heroes, Sayyid Haydar Jamaludeen speaks about \"Hashim al-Mirqal\".
Yet, who was Hashim al-Mirqal, how did he live his life, and what was his biographical background?
Who was the famous, yet dastardly cousin of Hashim al-Mirqal; a person who was in the army of Yazeed on the plains of Karbala?
What kind of a person was the father of Hashim al-Mirqal and what was he known for?
What was the nickname of Hashim al-Mirqal and why was he given that name?
In what battle did Hashim al-Mirqal lose one of his eyes?
Before what major battle did Imam Ali (A) send a letter with Hashim al-Mirqal to the people of Kufa?
What did Imam Ali (A) say to Hashim al-Mirqal when he was wearing two coats of armor in the Battle of Siffin and what did Hashim al-Mirqal say in reply?
Who was the evil man who martyred Hashim al-Mirqal and in what battle did this take place?
What did Imam Ali (A) say when he came to the place where Hashim al-Mirqal had attained martyrdom?
And finally, how did Hashim al-Mirqal attain the lofty status of martyrdom?
Find out this and more in this episode about one of the most loyal, devout, and faithful companions of the Messenger of Allah (S) and the Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (A), \"Hashim al-Mirqal\", as Sayyid Haydar Jamaludeen goes through some of the beautiful, honorable, and yet largely overlooked \"Unsung Heroes\" of Islam.
