The Queen's Diamond Jubilee: the UK Queen celebrations for the 60th years as Monarch costs high for the British people gripped by the austerity measures. Some say the cost may be up to 3 billion pounds. As the Egyptian election is going on, Ahmad Shafiq -- Mubarak's last PM -- came second in the first round after the Muslim Brotherhood's candidate, Morsi. Palestinian people commemorating the 45th anniversary of the Naksa, the hunger strikes in Palestine, protests in Saudi Arabia, the Syrian unrest, these and much more stories are all discussed in this edition of the Comment with George Galloway

Hundreds of Afghan people including students, have held demonstrations in the eastern province of Nangarhar against a possible security pact with the US.
The protesters chanted anti-US slogans and blocked a key road between Kabul and the city of Jalalabad. They warned the Afghan elders and politicians against signing the deal, saying they do not represent the Afghan people. Afghanistan\'s grand assembly or Loya Jirga is slated to hold discussions on the controversial deal on Thursday. Meanwhile, scores of people gathered for a meeting in Kabul to voice their opposition to any deal that will prolong the US military presence in their country.

Tensions in Egypt are running high as people defy a new ban on unauthorized protests and take to the streets in major cities. Clashes between security forces and supporters of the ousted president have left dozens injured. Many more have been detaind.
Violence broke out after Mohamed Morsi\'s supporters joined protests dubbed the Friday of Retribution to denounce the new anti-protest law and demand the ousted president\'s reinstatement. Clashes in Cairo erupted after police fired tear gas to disperse people joining the funeral of a university student killed in a protest on Thursday. Similar violence has been reported in Alexandria, Giza and the Nile Delta. The mass rallies come despite warnings from authorities of a firm response to any unauthorized protests. Under the new law, protest organizers are obliged to get permission for protests and hand in the names and addresses of all the people planning to join. The new law is under scrutiny both domestically and internationally.

Hundreds of people marched at the entrance of al-Yarmuk refugee camp in Damascus in an attempt to reach out to their sick relatives. They were hoping for a successful outcome of an initiative launched by several Syria-based Palestinian factions to evacuate over three hundred sick people trapped inside the camp. But anxious relatives failed to meet their loved ones.
Red Crescent teams were ordered to retreat as armed groups opened gunfire at the humanitarian groups who tried to help the sick out, causing the initiative to fail. This is not the first such initiative to fail. Previously, several armed extremist groups such as the al-Qaeda linked al-Nusra Front foiled peace initiatives and remained occupying the camp. In 2012, tens of civilians were killed and thousands of others displaced after foreign-backed militants targeted the same refugee camp. According to the doctors in charge of following up the initiative, dozens of sick people remain trapped inside al-Yarmouk refugee camp in Damascus. With the lack of basic needs inside, many families here see no end to the humanitarian crisis in the near future.

Another day of bloodshed in Iraq. At least 22 people are killed in mortar attacks on a town south of the capital Baghdad.
Five mortar rounds hit a residential area, a market and a parking lot in the town of Musayyib. Over 50 people were also injured there. The town, which is close to the Shia-dominated city of Hillah, had been a former stronghold of insurgents. A bomb attack in the same town on Tuesday claimed five lives. Christianity Under Question! | Imam Khomeini (R)
The impression today\'s Christianity has painted in people\'s mind is that Christianity is all about LOVE, AFFECTION, and CARE etc. Yet, while we see millions of people subjected to oppression and cruelty, we find Christian authorities and scholars to be quiet! Is it not ironic? Where is that love and passion for the needy and the oppressed? Where is your support for the dying kids of Yemen; where is your support for the innocent Palestinians; where is your support for all the oppressed people of the world who are waiting for your love, affection, and care! What would Jesus do to stop the oppression?!

Seven Special Scenarios To Find Sincerity | Shaykh Farukh Sekaleshfar
Shaykh Farukh Sekaleshfar eloquently expands on seven scenarios to do with mustahhab fasting, contemplating over which will open the doors to all acts of worship. This will change your life, the way you see your own actions and the way you view the people around us. There are billions of people on earth and around 1 out of 5 of them are Muslims... Everyone acts according to what he/she deems best, and some will justify thinking in a certain way. But only a very, very few actually find sincerity. How do we perfect our actions, whether Salah, Zakah or fasting? How do we know whether what we are doing is truly for the sake of Allah? How do we know that there is no Shirk hiding deep within the bosom of the worshipper when he worships?

[27] Short Tafsir by Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei | The Teaching of the Qur\'an | Farsi Sub English
The meanings of the Holy Quran are a thousand times more beautiful that the mere words of the Holy Quran.
But who is it that can truly understand these beautiful meanings of the Holy Quran?...
The meanings of the Holy Quran are a thousand times more beautiful that the mere words of the Holy Quran.
But who is it that can truly understand these beautiful meanings of the Holy Quran?
And what will happen if we become from among \\\"the people of heart\\\", the people who have a clean, sincere, pure heart filled with the light of Allah?
And is it possible that the people of today\\\'s age can better understand the inner meaning of Holy Quran as compared to hundreds of years ago?
Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei provides us with a short interpretation of the following verse of the Holy Quran.
Chapter 17 (al-Isra), Verse 9:
“Indeed, this Qur\\\'an guides to that which is the straightest way and [it] gives glad tidings to the believers; those who do righteous deeds that they will have a great reward.”

What were some of the qualities and attributes of this great and highly esteemed Messenger of Allah?
And what were the manners in which the holy Prophet Muhammad (S) interacted with the people?
Was the Messenger of Allah removed from the people or was he among the people in their everyday lives?
And how did the holy Prophet Muhammad (S) behave towards the enemies of Islam?
Finally, what role did Duas and supplications have in the life of the holy Prophet (S), especially in the middle of the field of battle?

With all the different current events going on in the world, we all really need a funny, relaxed, refreshing, and yet eye-opening commentary on it all.
Sayyid Shahryar\\\'s here to humbly shed a little insight into all that\\\'s going on around the world; past, present, and perhaps even future.
In this episode part 2, we\\\'re \\\"Keepin\\\' It Real\\\" by continuing to talk about the brave people of Yemen and how they are \\\"Barefooted, But Deadly II\\\".
The barbaric and cruel imposed war on the Yemeni people has been raging on for 7 long years.
A Saudi-led coalition, supported by and with a green light from western powers, has embarked upon the total destruction of the already impoverished nation of Yemen.
But who all was dumb enough to join the Saudi-led, western sponsored coalition?
And who are the western sponsors who are selling billions of dollars in weapons to the Saudi-led, western sponsored coalition?
And what is the current humanitarian condition of Yemen that has come about due to the Saudi-led, western sponsored coalition?
And please answer for us, why in the world are the brave and courageous people of Yemen \\\"Barefooted, But Deadly\\\"?
Hey, we\\\'re just \\\"Keepin\\\' It Real\\\".

It\\\'s time to create awareness.

\"Reach the Peak\" as we delve deeply into the beautiful pages of Nahjul Balagha and the wise words of the Commander of the Faithful, the first divinely appointed Imam, Imam Ali ibne Abi Talib (A).
In this episode, Sayyid Amir Behbahani speaks to us about \"The Mute Shayaateen\".
What is Hikmah No. 12 of Imam Ali (A) found in Nahjul Balagha, and what does it deal with?
Who were some of the well-known people who did not join the side of Imam Ali (A) in the Battle of Jamal?
What does Imam Ali (A) say about these people, vis-à-vis whether they were on the side of Truth or the side of falsehood?
What were some of the excuses that these people who didn\'t join the side of Imam Ali (A) give to his eminence (A) for not joining his side?
Is it okay to not join the side of Truth, as long as one doesn\'t join the side of falsehood?
What does the Messenger of Allah (S) say regarding those who remain silent vis-à-vis the Truth?
What is one very easy way to weaken the forces of falsehood?
According to the narrations of the immaculate Imams (A), what does Jesus, the son of Mary, say about the oppressor, oppression, and our duty?
What does Imam Ali (A) say in Sermon No. 27, and how is it related to our discussion?
What is an interesting, yet unfortunate story regarding Hajjaj ibn Yusuf and Abdullah ibn Umar, and acknowledging the Imam of one\'s time?
Finally, what and who are \"The Mute Shayaateen\"?
If you ultimately want to \"Reach the Peak\", you\'re going to have to take the first step - wherever you are!
