It\'s not hard to imagine the day you\'ll have no worries about spilling things on your clothes! A group of Iranian scientists have developed a special nano-technology process to produce water-proof and anti-stain textile! The process has been developed by researchers working at the Materials and Energy Research Center in Karaj, north-west of Tehran. This is the first time Iranian scientists have created the liquid repellent nano-coating. The material could easily be applied to different kinds of textiles, making them water and stain proof. It also preserves the original color and form of the textile. Researchers have also successfully tested the chemical on old carpets, concluding that it works as a barrier against bacteria that cause the carpet to wear out. The team aims to use the substance to make water-resistant paper and concrete.

Another step forward by Iranian scientists in their quest for space; the Pajouhesh explorer is Iran’s latest indigenous space rocket that uses liquid fuel and capable of sending a living creature into space. The animal astronaut aboard the explorer is a male Rhesus monkey named “Fargam”. He is the second member of the simian family with an outer space experience from Iran since January this year. In 2008 Iran managed to complete the cycle of its home grown space industry from A to Z. Iran officially joined the group of countries with indigenous space technology in 2009 by launching its first homemade satellite Omid into space. Scientists in Iran say that the success of Pajouhesh explorer and its bio-capsule will open the way for further advancements in Iran’s space technology. After liftoff sensors simultaneously transmitted information on Fargam’s health condition including his cardiovascular and respiratory systems. The research enabled Iranian scientists to further complete their studies in the area of biology in space, airspace and medical engineering. And there it was; a safe return to earth by this tiny creature which received a hero’s welcome back at the base by the team of young scientists who celebrated their success in building a safer and more advanced bio-capsule.

Muslims in Brussels are still mourning the death of an imam who died of suffocation a couple of days ago. The 46-year-old imam, Abdallah Dadou, was in this Shia mosque to lead an evening prayer when a man came in and set the place on fire after spreading flammable liquid. Apart from being sad, Muslims here are also shocked by the attack. According to the police, the suspect, now in custody, identified himself a Salafi. Salafi extremists have always tried to put a rift between Sunnis and Shias but worshippers here say Sunnis and Shias have never had any problems living together in this country. Experts agree that this attack does not represent reality. Semsettin Ugurlu is the president of the Muslim Executive of Belgium [shot of him]. He says he has never seen anything but good relationships between the two religious groups. The official motivations for the attack are still under investigation. But Ugurlu says there is a lesson to be learned and a question to be answered: what led the attacker to do this? Was he influenced by certain books or by things he read on the Internet? There are still no answers. The only reality for now is the shock and sorrow of Muslims - here in Brussels and in the rest of the country. As the worshippers behind me mourn the death of the imam, they emphasize that Shiite and Sunni Muslims have always lived in peace together here in Belgium. They also say Europe needs to make sure that such a crime will not happen again.

A wonderful addition to your collection of recipes, quick easy and delicious roasted chicken! You can either make this in your oven or use an electric skillet preheat oven to 400 degrees Ing: 2 whole chicken cut in 8 pieces in a separate bowl mix the following ing: 1 tbsp fresh ginger and garlic 1/2 cup yogurt salt to taste 1 tbsp lemon pepper 1 tsp pepper 2 tsp basil 1 cup sour cream (you can use fat free if you like) 4 tbsp tomato paste 2 tbsp of lemon basil chopped (add it 1/2 way before the chicken get done) 1 tbsp cilantro chopped also added while you ad the lemon basil Mix all the marinade together throughly than go ahead and add it to the chicken making sure you mix it well. Once everything is really well mixed add it to the electric skillet which is on 400 degrees and cover it, after the 25 minutes uncover and make sure the chicken is done, than leave the skillet open so the liquid disappears and you are left with a thick gravy. Here is the website I used to find the recipe: This is an expensive recipe to make, here in my area the Baker\'s brand white chocolate costs $4 a six ounce package and the milk is about $3 a can. My cost (excluding vanilla and food colour) was about $35. Recipe: 36 oz white chocolate or candy melts (6 oz per colour) 24 oz of sweetened condensed milk (you will need two 14 oz cans, with bit left over. In my area of the world it is only available in 10 oz cans, so I used 2 and a bit of of a third can. 1 1/2 tsp flavouring (I used vanilla extract) Food colour (liquid or paste). Chop up the white chocolate into small pieces place them in a medium sized bowl and add 1/2 cup (125ml) of sweetened condensed milk. There are recipes online where you can learn how to make your own sweetened condensed milk if you don\'t have any in the stores where you live. Microwave on high for 50-60 seconds until chocolate is melted. Stir until smooth and add desired amount of food colour and 1/4 tsp of flavouring (I used vanilla extract) Line a large loaf pan with aluminum foil and pour the first layer into the bottom of the pan. Tap gently on counter top to spread mixture out and to remove air bubbles. Place in freezer for 15 minutes or until surface of the layer is set and dry to the touch (it will still be soft) Continue with the next 5 layers. After adding the very top layer place the pan in the refrigerator (not freezer this time) and chill for at least 12 hours. Remove from pan and slice into portions with a sharp knife. Store this in the refrigerator as it gets very soft and sticky at room temperature.
