Hell sure is an awful place to end up in; especially if its for an eternity.
But have you ever wondered, what is the thing that makes the people of Hell the saddest?
When the people of Hell let out a deep sigh of anguish, regret, and remorse, what is its source?
Sayyid Shahryar answers in this One Minute Wisdom based upon the words of the Messenger of Allah, the holy Prophet Muhammad (S).

[Clip] Why is this world so attractive for us, but Heaven isnโt | Agha Ali Reza Panahian | Dec.11, 2019 Farsi Sub Engl

Why is this world so attractive for us, but Heaven isnโt?
My friends, the world entices us, right? What element of the world entices a person? Tell me, what causes us to become interested in this world and not pay attention to the Hereafter?
โHeaven doesnโt entice us, but the world does.โ Answer me. โEntertainments.โ There are better entertainments in Heaven. Itโs accessible now, right? How many of you agree? Itโs accessible now. Believe me; it would take 10 sessions for me to make it clear for you that the accessibility of the world doesnโt attract a person!
Because, each flower in the world has terrible thorns that only ruin a personโs mood. You should look at this world correctly, this accessible world. Eating causes an unpleasantness that weโre not willing to mention in the meeting. You would stop eating. You wonโt enjoy sleeping, which is like dying, anymore. Donโt talk about the world being accessible. Being accessible is ineffective. โSince the Hereafter is on credit, it doesnโt attract us.โ Look! Itโs just us talking here. Lying has a limit. You know how young, unmarried people think about marriage. They think, โWow! Thereโll be a lot going on in the future.โ
The enjoyment from our imaginings is more than the actuality. Therefore, the accessibility of the world is not attracting you. The Hereafter being on credit doesnโt push you away. Whatโs the problem? Remembering the world ruins us. The accessibility of the world doesnโt ruin us! Its memory ruins us. Remembering the accessible world makes us interested in it. Will we become interested in the Hereafter without remembering it?!
Make remembering the Hereafter a part of your life. Then, see if the accessible world affects you. I swear, it wonโt have an effect. What should we do to remember the Hereafter more? Imam Baqir (โa) said, โRecite at least 50 verses of the Qurโan every day. Recite it at 14 different times, donโt recite it once and put it aside.โ Basically, the Qurโan is a book, which reminds of the Hereafter. It takes a person to Heaven or Hell in each moment, and brings him or her back.
What causes us to keep our distance from the Hereafter? Not remembering it. The Qurโan is the best program. Remembering the world ruins us. Make remembering the Hereafter a part of your life. Then, see if the accessible world affects you. I swear, it wonโt have an effect.

Brand new series, GAME OVER exploring Islamic concepts and answering some of the most topical questions of our time.
One of the most commonly raised questions in the minds of our youth is whether our non-Muslim classmates will go to heaven or not.
Itโs a question that adults have too - what about my Christian peers at work? What about someone who isnโt a Muslim, but theyโre a decent human being?
What about that celebrity I really like, but Allah hasnโt guided them to Islam? Doesnโt it suffice for someone to be a good person?
And the follow-up question is inevitably that if non-Muslims will go to heaven, why should I be a Muslim then?
Shaykh Muzaffer Hyder clears the air with precision and arguments from the Holy Quran.
And the answer just may lead you to a greater understanding of your own journey towards Allahโฆ

What can I do not to sin?Clip
Agha AliReza Panahian Nov.02, 2019
What can I do not to sin? What can I do to fear God? In order to be religious, people should first be trained to have a program and to plan. Help him or her to understand that we have to be disciplined. We must plan in addition to being disciplined, so that we can manage our own lives. They have told us repeatedly about this fact in the traditions that discipline is first.
You prove God to me a hundred times, and I still donโt listen to him. You prove the Hereafter and other things too, and I still donโt obey, because my will has become stubborn. I canโt listen! I havenโt been disciplined.
If we want to convince someone not to sin, the first step is to convince him that he canโt live without a program. Being without a program means being passive. A passive person doesnโt get up until heโs kicked. God hasnโt brought Hell to kick him now! Itโs for later. So, he doesnโt do anything! Heโll only get up if heโs kicked!
His temperament is such that his life is without any program. He does things when heโs forced to, threatened, encouraged, or someone is standing over his head. He doesnโt know how to live based on a program at all! If you keep telling him about Hell, itโs useless! This Hell isnโt now. Itโs later on. This undisciplined person without any program wonโt move himself because of a future Hell. Heโll move whenever heโs kicked. An undisciplined person wonโt move himself because of a future Hell.
If my child doesnโt pray, what can I do to get him or her to pray? Iโm confused and donโt know what to do. Where should I start? Have you taught your child the key, necessary element in life, which is discipline? We ill-manneredly eat, say Salam, sleep, wake up, walk, dress... Ill-mannered, ill-mannered, ill-mannered! If a child isnโt disciplined, can you turn him into a disciplined person?
Itโs easy to add one or two etiquettes to a disciplined person. He observes the etiquettes about neighbors, about sleeping and being awake, about his own room, and about other things. Itโs not hard if you add a couple more etiquettes. He says, โWhat should I do?โ โObserve the etiquettes about the Lord.โ โWhat are they?โ โStand like this and say โAllahu Akbar.โ Donโt move for five minutes. Prostrate. Bend. Stand up. These are its etiquettes.โ Heโll understand and do it. Itโs not hard.
Itโs hard for the child who has no discipline in his house. Thereโs kindness, but no discipline. Thereโs belief in God, but no discipline. Thereโs spirituality, but no discipline. It wonโt work with just these! Iโm not talking about whether dancing is forbidden, or not. Whether vulgar songs are vulgar, or not. Or, from what age should we teach children the differences between genders? Iโm not talking about Islamic covering and other such things.
People who donโt want discipline for children in Elementary Schools are criminals. The argument is not over religion! Everyone needs a plan to live. And, this planning should be in a personโs blood. For planning to be in a personโs blood, he or she must have been disciplined in childhood. This discipline may be that of the Communists, the East, or the West. But, there should be discipline! The politicians who advocate unruliness in the education environment are criminals.
In order to convince someone not to sin, we must first convince them that we cannot live without a program. Why do you talk to a person about religion when he\'s not used to living with a program? Itโs easy to add one or two etiquettes to a disciplined person. He says, โWhat should I do?โ โObserve the etiquettes about the Lord.โ โWhat are they?โ โStand like this and say โAllahu Akbar.โ Donโt move for five minutes. Prostrate. Bend. Stand up. The 30th juz has 34 meccan surahs and 3 madani surahs. We will focus on the themes of heaven and hell for the last episode of our podcast series. We pray we arrive in jannah a place of Godโs mercy, proximity and closeness and not in hell which is distant from Allah and absent of Allahโs mercy. The hereafter is the fruits of the seeds which we planted in this world. In Surah an Naziat, Allah swt reminds us that this is the day in which human beings will see or be called to remember what it is that they have strived for. Heaven and Hell are the outcomes of what we have done in this world. Itโs important to note that the pleasures of paradise and displeasures of hell are not similar to the ones we experience in this lower life. To enter paradise there is no easy answer but the simple thing to focus on is giving a preference to the next world over this one.

To enter paradise there is no easy answer but the simple thing to focus on is giving a preference to the next world over this one.

67. โThe hypocrite men and the hypocrite women are as one another; they enjoin evil and forbid good, and they keep their hands shut. They have forsaken Allah, so He has forsaken them, (too). The hypocrites are indeed the transgressors.โ
The Signs of the Hypocrites
In this verse, the Qurโฤn points to a general matter. It implies that the spirit of hypocrisy may appear in different shapes, and the form of ostentation in particular. The spirit of hypocrisy may be different in a man and in a woman, but the variety of the features of hypocrisy among hypocrites should not deceive us.
Therefore, the verse says:
โThe hypocrite men and the hypocrite women are as one anotherโฆโ
After mentioning that meaning, the verse refers to five epithets out of the hypocriteโs qualities as follows:
The first and the second epithets of the hypocrites are that they usually encourage people to evil and restrain them from good.
That is, contrast to the program of the true believers who ceaselessly, through enjoining good and forbidding evil, try to improve the society and to purify it from pollution and corruption, the hypocrites always try to expand corruption everywhere and to dismiss goodness from the society. The verse says:
โโฆthey enjoin evil and forbid goodโฆโ
Their third epithet is that they neither spend in the way of Allah, nor do they help the deprive, nor do they financially assist their relatives and those who are familiar with them. The verse says:
โโฆand they keep their hands shutโฆโ
The fourth quality of the hypocrites is that all their deeds, statements, and behaviours denote that they have forgotten the Lord, and also the situation of their lives indicates that the Lord has deprived them from some of His bounties, successes, and merits, too. The signs of these two abandonments are vividly reflected in their lives. The verse continues saying:
โโฆThey have forsaken Allah, so He has forsaken them, (too)โฆโ
The fifth quality of theirs is that they are impious and they live outside the circle of the obedience of Allah, i.e. not only they are mischievous, but also they are disobedient. The verse concludes as follows:
โโฆThe hypocrites are indeed the transgressors.โ
Whatever was said in this verse about the qualifications of the hypocrites is seen in such people in any age.

68. โAllah has promised the hypocrite men and the hypocrite women and the infidels, the Fire of Hell, to abide in it forever. That is enough for them, Allah has cursed them, and for them is a lasting chastisement.โ
The promise of Hell, stated in the abovementioned holy verse, is decreed at first for the hypocrites and secondly for the disbelievers.
Whatever more apparently fitting the hypocrites settle themselves in the row of the believers in this world, it is of no vail and they will be in the row of disbelievers in Hereafter.
The verse says:
โAllah has promised the hypocrite men and the hypocrite women and the infidels, the Fire of Hell, to abide in it foreverโฆโ
And since Hell is the collection of any pain, affliction and tribution, then it is enough for the hypocrites and infidels both. The verse continues saying:
โโฆThat is enough for them, Allah has cursed them, and for them is a lasting chastisement.โ

69. โ(Oโ hypocrites! You are) like those who were before you, they were stronger than you I power and more abundant in wealth and children; so they enjoyed their portion; thus do you enjoy your portion as those before you did enjoy their portion; and you indulge in vain discourses as they indulged. These are those whose works are null in this world and the Hereafter, and those are the losers.โ
An Admonition and a Warning
In order to awaken this group of the hypocrites, the abovementioned holy verse puts the mirror of the history before them and, comparing them with the former stubborn hypocrites, it teaches them the most instructive lessons.

This is the root of all sadness, unrest, anxiety, and depression!
God dislikes a person who acts indifferently towards Godโs Kindness. For example, a verse says, โCall on Me and I will answer you.โ(Qurโan, 40:60) This is a display of kindness. โCall on Me and I will answer you.โ Immediately, the Almighty God says in this same verse, โThose who are too proud to worship Me shall enter Hell utterly abject.โ Iโm telling you My dear to call on Me and I will answer you. A person says, โOk, later.โ God calls this being too proud to worship.
Do you know what the punishment of Hell is for? It is not for some rules that you didnโt obey! Is God like a policeman or the rules for driving?! No! Hell is for being bold against someone who is kind! This brings punishment. The Imam (โa) has sworn that, โPeople wonโt be saved from their sins unless they confess to them.โ Say what your problem is. Have your realized it? If youโve realized it, Iโll save you.
Now we want to say, โGod we have a problem. Our problem is that we havenโt believed in Your Kindness. We have no understanding about Your Mercy, and we donโt pay attention or benefit from it. My whole life has been spent being indifferent about Your Kindness. All of my concerns are due to being indifferent about Your Kindness. All of my depression, all of my attachments to things, are due to being indifferent about Your Kindness.โ An Arabic poem says, โYour sin is from within, which no sin can be compared with.โ How should I repent from this?
I live without understanding Your Kindness! I am not sure that You are kind and will give my sustenance. I donโt work in order to create something, because of Your order, and for Your satisfaction! I say, โI should work; otherwise, Iโll stay hungry. What are you saying?!โ My life is based on not believing in Your Kindness. I argue with this person and that person due to not believing in Your Kindness. I think they can take something from me.
I am jealous due to not believing in Your Kindness. I think someone else has taken my share. God says, โI have kept your share. Why are your jealous? Forget them!โ I feel a lack of affection due to not believing in Your Kindness. I feel lonely due to not believing in Your Kindness. I go after worthless entertainments because I donโt believe in Your Kindness to be able to enjoy Your Kindness. I go somewhere else to enjoy. I donโt believe in Your Kindness; otherwise, I would have become a good person.
What will happen if we believe in Godโs Kindness? Suddenly we will see all of Godโs actions to be due to His Kindness. When we look at the stars, we will start crying. When we look at the mountains, plains, and deserts, we will start crying. When we see a child, we will start crying. When we see an old man hunched over and walking with a cane, we will start crying. God! You love all of these. You have created all of them. You give sustenance to all of them. When we see the birds flying, we will start crying. We will live!
Our problem is that we havenโt believed in Your Kindness. We have no understanding about Your Mercy, and we donโt pay attention or benefit from it. I donโt believe in Your Kindness; otherwise, I would have become a good person.
