Only eleven days until the eleventh presidential election in Iran remain. All the candidates are busy campaigning and giving speeches to promote their plans for the public. They will present their plans until a day before the election which would be held on June 14th. All of the eight candidates approved by the Guardian Council have been given a timetable by Iran\'s National Radio and Television Organization to introduce their plans to the public through different channels and different types of programs. Runners grab any chance to travel to Iran\'s major and small cities to meet people in the city mosques, conference halls and stadiums, giving vows to solve their problems. Comparing to the last presidential election, internet websites are more active in promoting their favorite candidates. Supporters have launched different weblogs to announce their campaign slogans. Different unofficial internet polls are being conducted but the results differ based on the political orientation of the websites. On Friday May 31st 2013 the first debate show between the eight candidates was held. This time the debates are different from the heated but troubled debates of the last Election back in 2009. Instead of talking to each other, the candidates were answering the moderator\'s somewhat challenging questions. In this episode of Iran Today we will take a closer look at the candidates\' plans and their views on the policies adopted by the previous administrations.

So believers of those prophets were aware of this subject. As you know most of the holy books except Quran are consider to distortion. Despite these alterations you can find this topic in these books now. Is it possible that God talked about this case in all of the holy books and he didn\\\'t tell anything about Imam Mahdi in Quran? Of course not, certainly it is a wrong idea. We have a lot of Ayah in Quran about him. Seyyed Hashem Bahrani one of the great Islamic scientists in eleventh century wrote in his book[4] that more than hundred and twenty Ayah is about Imam Mahdi and demonstrate his word by addressing to our Imams verse. Some other scientists increase them to 265 Ayah and may be we can add some more verses (Ayah) to this collection. All of these verses (Ayah) which by them we are informed manifestation of Imam Mahdi and all events that would happen at that time and learn something about his companion and also his enemy and our duty during this time are telling us how much Mahdaviat (things regarding to Imam Mahdi) is important in Islam. Interpretation of these verses and relating these verses to Imam Mahdi is not only for Shiite commentators, but most of Sunnite commentators accept it and mention to it in their books. One of the great Sunnite scientists Soleyman Ghondoozi Hanafi who was lived in 1294 was allocating one section in his book[5] to this topic and told that 57 verses in Quran are for Imam Mahdi. At the end, there is an Ayah in Quran which is verified by both Sunnite and Shiite that it is about Imam Mahdi and regards to his revolution. Exalted God says about his manifestation and his government: And we wished to be gracious to those who were being depressed in the land, to make them leaders (in faith) and make them heirs.[6] All the commentators agree that heir (Vares) is Imam Mahdi.[7] O God! The Imam tells him to come after three days and collect the reply. After three days on inquiring he is told that the Imam was departing the same day. He says to himself, \\\\\\\"Now that he is setting out, let us go and watch the majesty and glamour of the prince of the Hijaz He goes and there he sees the Imam, together with other Hashimis among men, seated on splendid chairs. Then the camels are brought bearing the litters draped in silk and brocade. Then the ladies emerge and with much honor and ceremony they are escorted into these litters. This description continues in this vein until they make the digression to switch to the scene of the eleventh day of Muharram, to compare the glamour and honor of this day with the sorry state of the womenfolk on the latter day. Haji Nuri calls such descriptions into question. He says, \\\\\\\"It is history which says that when Imam Husayn left Madinah he recited this Qur\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'anic verse: He left it in the state of fear and concern. Imam Hasan Askari (AS) was 22 years of age when his father Imam Ali Naqi (AS) was martyred. The period of his Imamate, following his father\'s death, was six years. Although Imam Hasan Askari (AS) endured great sufferings, many students benefited from his divine knowledge and later became scholars in their own field of study. The Imam taught the Quran and the true teachings of Islam as taught by the Prophet of Islam and his Ahle Bait. He also wrote a complete Exegesis of the Quran. He had many discussions with the non-believers about the existence of God and the reasons for the necessity of the Prophets and Imams. Consequently, many atheists converted to Islam at his hands. Like the Bani Ummayads, the Abbasids were afraid of the exalted status of the Imams, their divine knowledge, and their rule over the hearts and minds of the people. So like his predecessors, in a rage of jealousy, Al-Mu\'tamid decided to put an end to the Imamate through every possible means once and for all. However, with all their repression and power, the Abbasids rulers could not prevent the birth of Imam Mahdi (AS). Imam Mohammad Mahdi (AS), the Imam of our time was born 266 AH. He is in occultation awaiting Allah\'s command to reappear and clear the world of injustice, tyranny, and oppression. On the orders of Al-Mu\'tamid, Imam Hasan Askari (AS) was poisoned on 8th Rabi-al-Awwal 260 AH at the age of 28. At that time, Imam Mahdi was only five years old. When people, including Al- Mu\'tamid, lined up for the funeral prayers, the young Imam came out of the house and led the funeral prayer of his father. The eleventh round of Iran\'s Presidential Election has just officially begun with the registration process finally underway as of today May 7th in the interior ministry. Any Iranian national has until May 11 to register, the date on which all the guesswork surrounding who will and who won\'t decide to run, officially comes to an end and the vetting process by the 12-member guardian council made-up of 6 Islamic faqihs or experts in Islamic jurisprudence and 6 jurists begins with a 24 hour break in between. The contenders themselves can also choose to withdraw anytime from now until the Election Day (June 14, 2013). The race will officially begin right after the final list of Presidential hopefuls is announced by the interior ministry after which the candidates are allowed to start their election campaigns. This is while some candidates have already started giving interviews and appearing on university campuses discussing and promoting their agenda. So far economy seems to top the list of campaign issues and promises given the current economic dire straits faced by the country. Taking time off from studies and work, Iranians in the Netherlands go to the Iranian Embassy in The Hague to cast their votes for the eleventh presidential election. With only one polling station across the Netherlands, they have travelled from virtually all parts of the country to be a part of the most important political event taking place in their country. The Iranian Ambassador told Press TV that the Embassy had set up an executive board headed by the Ambassador himself and five Iranian residents in the Netherlands to oversee the election. A considerable number of voters are the Iranians studying or employed at the institutions of higher education in the Netherlands.
