Moulana Abid\'s daily Life Lesson from Noble Narrations. Todays lesson will be on Thought, Contemplation, and Reflection. Inspired by an upcoming publication by Al-Kisa Foundation titled 150 Life Lessons from Noble Narrations, this year’s Shahr Ramaḍān series shines a light on thirty ḥadīth and how we can practically implement the ḥadīth into our lives. What does the holy Prophet Muhammad (S) say about contemplation?
And what is one of the pillars of Islam?
And have we ever thought about what kind of knowledge and how much knowledge we acquire in our daily lives?
What is our intention for using social media and what should our intention actually be?
And has social media become a deterrent to our ideological and spiritual growth?
Finally, how can we become an enemy of our own ideology?
Sister Spade expounds.

Taqleed means to follow. While in Fiqh (jurisprudence), one may do Taqleed of a marja\\\' in order to understand the Islamic rulings on prayers and fasting etc.
People lose faith because they do \\\"taqleed\\\" in their beliefs. This is not allowed. One cannot believe in the oneness of God, in Prophethood or in the Day of Judgment simply because they follow someone else (their parents, or scholars). Rather, such beliefs must only be arrived at through personal contemplation and reflection. One may take help from the Islamic books and scholars, but at the end of the day one must strive to truly acquire faith in Islam through finding proofs, evidences and contemplation; not through Taqleed.

Questions, questions… Is everything determined by Allah? Does He choose what we do and don’t do in life? Or has He simply created us and left us free to make our own decisions? Do we really have the ability to make decisions of our own - or is everything we do a predestined effect of causes already set in motion? These are some of the mind-boggling questions that can keep us up at night and the answers to such philosophical queries normally take years and years of contemplation to truly suss out. Even so, allow the BISKIT guy to attempt to unboggle your mind for the next seven minutes. Inshallah, some questions will be answered and some new questions will be raised… #Allah #HolyProphet #Quran #Islam #Ahlulbayt #Fate #Freedom

Many – if not most – human beings go through life without ever truly undergoing the necessary transformation into the best that we can be. We come to this world as caterpillars, and it is our aim to develop into butterflies. But we often remain as crawling creatures of this lowly dimension, devouring our way through the dunya (worldly life), blind, deaf and dumb. When do we truly contemplate and make the conscious decision to be better? Brother Khalil Jafar beautifully sets forth an example of our existence in this world as something essentially alien. Do we really belong here? Is there a precedence within the Holy Quran which indicates that we were sent down from a higher realm of existence? What now is our aim in regards to life, the universe and everything?

Brother Khalil Jafar explains the concept of “dying” before actual death touches us. The only real thing which is certain about life is that it will one day end; and every soul will inevitably taste of death. The main purpose of Islam is to reform the human being. Allah has created us with both the tabiah (animalistic nature) and the fitrah (divine nature) in order to test which of us will remain in the superficial shell of our animalistic selves and who will transcend in order to transform into something greater.

Br. Khalil Jafar eloquently explains that “the closer we get to enlightenment, the harder it gets…” Sometimes, before reaching the great heights, those on the path of finding themselves will undergo severe depression. This is all part of the process of transforming and Imam Ali (A) explains, “expect relief at the tightening of the chains…”. A sudden change in one\\\'s life is inevitably going to occur for those destined for greater things; will you undertake the challenge? Or will you give up when things get difficult? It is in the darkest nights that the stars can be seen in all their splendor.

What are two very important values among all the various and numerous righteous and sublime virtues and values that Islam teaches and promotes?
And why is it said that Islam has gifted humanity the most precious of gifts?
Approximately how many times does the holy Quran speak about thinking, reflection, and contemplation?
And on the same lines, approximately how many times does the holy Quran speak about purification and what status does it have, vis-à-vis the mission of the holy Prophet Muhammad (S)?
What is the greatest gift that has been gifted to all of humanity by Islam?
