What can I do not to sin? What can I do to fear God? In order to be religious, people should first be trained to have a program and to plan. Help him or her to understand that we have to be disciplined. We must plan in addition to being disciplined, so that we can manage our own lives. They have told us repeatedly about this fact in the traditions that discipline is first.
You prove God to me a hundred times, and I still don’t listen to him. You prove the Hereafter and other things too, and I still don’t obey, because my will has become stubborn. I can’t listen! I haven’t been disciplined.
If we want to convince someone not to sin, the first step is to convince him that he can’t live without a program. Being without a program means being passive. A passive person doesn’t get up until he’s kicked. God hasn’t brought Hell to kick him now! It’s for later. So, he doesn’t do anything! He’ll only get up if he’s kicked!
His temperament is such that his life is without any program. He does things when he’s forced to, threatened, encouraged, or someone is standing over his head. He doesn’t know how to live based on a program at all! If you keep telling him about Hell, it’s useless! This Hell isn’t now. It’s later on. This undisciplined person without any program won’t move himself because of a future Hell. He’ll move whenever he’s kicked. An undisciplined person won’t move himself because of a future Hell.
If my child doesn’t pray, what can I do to get him or her to pray? I’m confused and don’t know what to do. Where should I start? Have you taught your child the key, necessary element in life, which is discipline? We ill-manneredly eat, say Salam, sleep, wake up, walk, dress... Ill-mannered, ill-mannered, ill-mannered! If a child isn’t disciplined, can you turn him into a disciplined person?
It’s easy to add one or two etiquettes to a disciplined person. He observes the etiquettes about neighbors, about sleeping and being awake, about his own room, and about other things. It’s not hard if you add a couple more etiquettes. He says, “What should I do?” “Observe the etiquettes about the Lord.” “What are they?” “Stand like this and say ‘Allahu Akbar.’ Don’t move for five minutes. Prostrate. Bend. Stand up. These are its etiquettes.” He’ll understand and do it. It’s not hard.
It’s hard for the child who has no discipline in his house. There’s kindness, but no discipline. There’s belief in God, but no discipline. There’s spirituality, but no discipline. It won’t work with just these! I’m not talking about whether dancing is forbidden, or not. Whether vulgar songs are vulgar, or not. Or, from what age should we teach children the differences between genders? I’m not talking about Islamic covering and other such things.
People who don’t want discipline for children in Elementary Schools are criminals. The argument is not over religion! Everyone needs a plan to live. And, this planning should be in a person’s blood. For planning to be in a person’s blood, he or she must have been disciplined in childhood. This discipline may be that of the Communists, the East, or the West. But, there should be discipline! The politicians who advocate unruliness in the education environment are criminals.
In order to convince someone not to sin, we must first convince them that we cannot live without a program. Why do you talk to a person about religion when he\'s not used to living with a program? It’s easy to add one or two etiquettes to a disciplined person. He says, “What should I do?” “Observe the etiquettes about the Lord.” “What are they?” “Stand like this and say ‘Allahu Akbar.’ Don’t move for five minutes. Prostrate. Bend. Stand up. FUNDRAISING APPEAL: BE A DONOR FOR THIS GROUND-BREAKING DOCUMENTARY - WHY CAN\'T I BE SUSHI!
AIM is requesting your financial support for this great documentary being produced called \'Why Can\'t I be Sushi\'.
Produced and directed by Hoda Elsoudani, it is a documentary following the journey of 2 extremely articulate young girls - Niamh (age10) and Sofia (age 8) who are curious about the on going sectarian conflicts amongst muslims - It reveals their journey as they seek answers to why a growing number of people are becoming extremists and showing support for radical groups like ISIS.
By addressing the issue through the eyes of a child this will clarify the subject and bring back historical routes in a positive light where violence and aggression has no place in a difference of opinion.
With the aim of uniting Muslims through love, compassion & understanding, especially after the recent events In Iraq and Syria; this documentary aims to bring awareness, promote peace, break down barriers, challenges stereotypes and encourages unity

May this never happen to you that they tell you that you can’t participate in mourning ceremonies for Husayn (as) anymore. Wouldn’t this be terrible? It is not even imaginable that they stop us from participating in such meetings. But tonight, Zaynab was told that she should give up her Husayn since this is Karbala. You’re not willing to abandon Husayn’s (as) mourning ceremony. But from tonight, Zaynab (as) had to prepare herself to lose Husayn (as). Alas for Zaynab’s heart from tonight.
What was the philosophy behind Imam Husayn’s (as) head being carried along with Zaynab from Karbala to Kufa and Damascus? Maybe it was for Zaynab to be able to slowly detach herself from Husayn (as). Alas for Zaynab’s heart from tonight. [When they reached Karbala,] the Imam (as) asked, “What’s the name of this land?” They replied, “Karbala.” He said, “I seek refuge in God from sorrow (Karb) and tragedy (bala).”
Whenever he talked about Karbala, he would look at Zaynab (as). [It was as if he was saying,] “My Zaynab, this is Karbala. I’m addressing you. We’re going to be separated from each other here. Be ready.” Zaynab (as) would ignore these words and look in a different direction. Aba Abdillah al-Husayn (as) would glance at Zaynab (as), “Did my Zaynab believe this is Karbala? If she had believed it, she would have started wailing. No, she doesn’t believe it. She doesn’t want to accept it.” He would look at his Zaynab caringly.
I talked about this story in the last meeting, and I’m talking about it again now. And I’ll always talk about it. Because it took nine days for Husayn (as) to tell Zaynab (as), “This is Karbala. Believe this.” She ignored this until the evening of Tasu’a when Husayn (as) said, “O world! Woe to you.” When Zaynab (as) heard this, she threw herself in front of Husayn (as), screamed and fainted. “My Husayn, don’t talk about leaving.” “My Zaynab, I have tried to tell you many times that this is Karbala! Why didn’t you want to believe this?” “I can’t tolerate this. Don’t talk about leaving!” This means, “I was trying to ignore the fact that we have been in Karbala during these nine days. No matter how much you said this is Karbala, I tried to keep myself busy and didn’t want to accept it.”
Imam Husayn (as) said, “My Zaynab! My ancestor (the Prophet), father, brother and mother were all better than I am. They all passed away and you were patient.” She replied, “I was able to be patient because you were there. How can I be separated from you?”
May God’s curse be upon the oppressors.

What kinds of sins does martyrdom in the way of Allah and for the sake of Allah atone for?
What is the meaning of the Arabic word \'Takfir\'?
And yet, what is one thing that martyrdom doesn\'t atone for?
What categories does that thing fall in; is it limited to financial aspect only?
And what are some things that can atone for the aforementioned instance that even martyrdom can\'t atone for?
Finally, what is \"A Debt Which Even Martyrdom Can\'t Pay Off\".

[03 Aug 2012] How can Muslims in West help Islamic Awakening - English
After too much expectation and uncertainty, finally the Muslim Brotherhood candidate Mohamed Morsi won the election with 51.7 percent of the votes against Ahmed Shafiq. This came after a close competition in the second round, while some rumours were suggesting that the old regimes remnant Ahmed Shafiq might win. Thousands of Muslim Brotherhood supporters filled the streets and squares in Cairo and other cities to celebrate this victory, a turning point in Egypt's history to move from dictatorship to.
While Morsi succeeds Hosni Mubarak, who was overthrown 16 months ago after a popular uprising, the military council has this month curbed the powers of the presidency. This means that the head of state will have to work closely with the army on a planned democratic constitution. This week's Islam and Life asks: Egypt changes: How can Muslims in the west help the Islamic Awakening?

Iran\'s president says threats of a military option can not derail the process of nuclear talks between Iran and the permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany.
Hassan Rouhani said Iran is after a win-win situation in the Geneva talks. Speaking at a cabinet meeting, the president added that Iran seeks peace and stability in the Middle East, and that all nations will benefit from successful talks on Iran\'s nuclear program. He said differences over the nuclear program should be resolved through international regulations, adding that Tehran will NOT give up its nuclear rights or cross the red lines set by the Islamic Republic. Regarding the previous round of talks in Geneva, President Rouhani said the two sides had made progress, but unfortunately irrelevant expectations derailed the negotiations, leading to no agreement there.

[Clip] The best gift that spouses can give each other | Agha Alireza Panahian July 22,2019 Farsi Sub English
The best gift that spouses can give each other
Qur’an, Chapter Rum, verse 21, says, “And one of His signs is that He created mates for you from yourselves.” God, why have You done this?...
The best gift that spouses can give each other
Qur’an, Chapter Rum, verse 21, says, “And one of His signs is that He created mates for you from yourselves.” God, why have You done this? Let God explain it Himself. “He created mates for you from yourselves that you may find rest in them.”
What is the main thing at home? What is it? Love? No. Is enjoying the main thing? No. Is benefiting the main thing? No. Is bearing children the main thing? No. Is reputation, credibility or social dignity the main thing? No. What is the main thing? “…that you may find rest in them.” The purpose of having a family is calmness. No matter what happens, calmness should not be destroyed in the family.
First, calmness! If you consider the other good benefits from a family to be the first thing, you have disorganized everything! Everything is ruined. For example, you say, “The first use of a family is affection.” In this verse of the Qur’an that we talked about, there is affection too. But, affection isn’t first. It says, “I will give you affection too. There should be affection between spouses too. But, if you put affection instead of calmness and ruin each other’s calmness because of affection, there won’t be affection or calmness.”
For example, a person puts pleasure instead of calmness and says, “Sensual pleasure is the first thing for me.” Or no, comfort. A person is comfortable at home. What happens if you put comfort instead of calmness? You’ll destroy yourself and your family. “I want to be comfortable.” For you to be comfortable, you are destroying your spouse’s calmness. Then, you won’t be comfortable either!
What restricts our behaviour and our other goals and benefits in life, is calmness. Calmness shouldn’t be disrupted. Everything should be with calmness. Everything should come after calmness. If a woman wants to criticize her husband, or if a man wants to criticize his wife, they should be careful not to ruin calmness.
Think, “I wanted to insult him or her, or I wanted to say something, which was true. [There is no difference if it is a man or a woman.] I want to insult him or her, or say something else. Or even, I want to say something very true and very important! If I say this, calmness will be eliminated.” So, the first thing is calmness.
Let’s turn “calmness” into the main slogan of the family. A woman and a man can truly gift calmness to each other. “He created mates for you from yourselves that you may find rest in them.” What has God determined to be the goal of a family? Calmness. No matter what happens, calmness should not be destroyed in the family.
Calmness shouldn’t be disrupted. Everything should be with calmness. Everything should be after calmness.

[07 June 2012] 'SCO can prevent terrorism in Asia' - English
Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has lashed out at NATO's eastward expansion, saying it's aimed at stopping the growth of the member states of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). Ahmadinejad said NATO members are trying to resurrect what he called past colonialist relations, adding "the colonialists are equally opposed to the development of China, Russia, India and Iran as well as other members of the SCO." He further called for a new world order, saying the current one has failed because of its "inhumane and unfair nature."
