The eternal legacy of Imam Husayn (A), Ashura and Karbala presented through poetic words accompanied by a poignant yet powerful beat. This next generation musical piece will empower, motivate, inspire and educate many inshallah.
See, we all know Husayn, the stand that he made,
But the name of Hasan can’t be allowed to fade
Today we forget but on the dry plains that day
His son shouted out his name saying:
“I am Qasim, I won’t let you win!
I am the son of Hasan, I’m his next of kin”
But they circled around him, attacked from all sides,
And it tore up Husayn to see this young boy die…

Clip Sweet Taste of Faith

Faith is sweet, beautiful, and beloved - faith itself! Faith takes one to a higher level of life. The Holy Prophet (s) lived with God! His existence depended on God. God gave flavor to his life. God was the sweetness of his life. God was what made things sweet for him. His soul didn’t enjoy anything else except God. Is the sweetness of faith something small? Are we just mentioning one of many things that are sweet?!For God’s sake, look at how indifferent we are about what is happening in the world. The Qur’an says, “He is with you wherever you are.” [57:4] We say, “Aha, ok.” “He is with you.” Such a person doesn’t taste this. He is with you wherever you are. He says, “So? What should I do?” “We are nearer to him than his life-vein.” [Qur’an 50:16] He says, “Aha.” Such a person’s brain has shut down! Tell him, “‘Wherever you turn, you are always in the presence of God.’ [Qur’an 2:115] Can you see how God has encompassed you?” But a person still feels lonely. This means you haven’t tasted the sweetness of faith. You should taste its sweetness. Do you remember when you were a little kid? As soon as your mom or dad would hug you, you would say, “Yes! Now I’m in my place. He/she is holding me. This is better.” When I was a child, I would go into my dad’s embrace in cold weather. When he would hold me under his cloak, all the problems in the world were solved for me in his embrace. After growing up, your dad’s cloak was supposed to be replaced with God, but it hasn’t happened. So you thought it’s natural for human beings to feel it’s just them. No, it’s not human beings that feel it’s just them. Yes, it’s… um... I don’t want to say sheep. They feel it’s just them, not human beings. Human beings have not been created to feel they’re alone. God says, “He is with Me. I’m with him Myself.” Faith is sweet, beautiful, and beloved - faith itself! For God’s sake, look how indifferent we are about what is happening in the world. Tell him, “‘Wherever you turn, you are always in the presence of God.’ Can you see how God has encompassed you?” But this person still feels lonely. Does visiting Imam Ali’s (as) grave have more reward or visiting Aba Abdillah al-Husayn’s (as) grave?
Condolences on the anniversary of the martyrdom of the Commander of the Faithful, Ali (as).
===================================
More than the sufferings of Aba Abdillah Al-Husayn (as) are the sufferings of the Commander of the Faithful, Ali (as). Many of his sufferings can’t even be talked about. Some of them can be mentioned, but common people can’t understand them. Common people like us can’t cry over them.
Imam Ali (as) possessed all the talents in the world, but he did farming for 25 years. One should weep bitterly at hearing about each day that he was digging the ground. One curses the times when the people left Ali (as) alone. The universe is at his service! He himself was upset and said, “Ask me before I’m gone from among you.” Some of the elegies about Imam Ali (as) can’t be discussed. Some of those that can be described don’t make a common person like me cry.
An example is the man who said, “O Ali (as), why do you answer us without thinking when we ask you a question? Ponder over it a little first.” It was intolerable for them. Imam Ali (as) said, “If someone asks your name, will you think before answering?” “No.” Imam Ali said, \"What can I do? These things you are asking, and many other things similar to this, are obvious to me?\" See Imam Ali’s (as) loneliness.
I, with my little knowledge, when I study the life of Imam Ali (as), am I able to tolerate hearing of this great man’s loneliness? How much can we tolerate this? Imam Sadiq (as) was asked, “Does visiting Imam Ali’s (as) grave have more reward or visiting Aba Abdillah al-Husayn’s (as) grave?” Most recommendations are about visiting Aba Abdillah al-Husayn’s (as) grave and Karbala. So people asked, “How much reward does visiting the grave of Imam Ali (as) have? Does it have more reward?” Imam Sadiq (as) said, “It has more reward, in the same amount as Ali bin Abi Talib’s superiority in comparison with Aba Abdillah al-Husayn (as).”
Some may ask, “If this is so, why is visiting Imam Husayn’s grave mostly emphasized?” The reason is that we can be influenced by Imam Husayn (as) more. Otherwise, being influenced by Imam Ali (as) brings more reward. Visiting him has more reward and brings more light. But we cannot reach that level. We are usually influenced easier when hearing elegies and are able to pay attention to the light that shines on our heart.
The Imam (as) was right to say in the dream that he saw, “O Prophet of God, I am tired of this nation.” The Prophet (s) replied, “My dear Ali, curse them.” Imam Ali raised his hands and cursed them like this, “O God, take Ali away from these people.” It was as if the earth and sky shook. The divine throne shook. A herald called out and everyone heard, “Mawla (the Guardian) has been killed.” Shouldn’t we be shaken by this great tragedy?!

… so that you may take comfort in them.
… and He put between you love and compassion.” [Qur’an 30:21]
The Almighty God mentions three very important functions of marriage in this verse. Play these two roles. Men should play two roles for women. Women too should play two roles for men. However, some men and women aren’t able to play both of these roles. These two roles have been mentioned using the words “love and compassion” in this verse. They have been mentioned but not explained.
Your wife’s age is close to your age. And women have their own personalities. They might even manage you. They understand a lot too. Today’s women understand a lot. But sometimes they like to play the role of a spoiled, little girl who is being cute for her dad. In such a case, you should act like her father. You should act nobly. She may cry and complain. Say, “Aw, it’s ok. I’ll buy it for you!” Act nobly. Don’t act childishly. When she’s acting childishly you behave nobly. You’re like her father. Sometimes a woman plays this role.
At other times your wife isn’t playing the role of a little girl who is being cute for her dad. She plays the role of a mother for a little boy, which is you. You too sometimes become like a little boy who needs his mom. Women should keep this in mind that their husbands have just been separated from their moms! Today’s young men are a little spoiled. If you see a man who asks a lot for kindness from his wife, this means he has become a little too feminine. No, you’re a man. Be firm. But sometimes a man breaks down like a little boy and needs his wife to behave nobly. His wife should say, “It’s ok. It’ll be alright.” Like a mom. Have you seen how moms act at home? Women should play this role.
So the role of a little girl and a mom are two coupled roles that a skilled women should play at home. And the role of a dad and a little boy are two coupled roles that men should play for women.

Salutations upon Husayn, Ali ibn Husayn, the children of Husayn, and the companions of Husayn.
Despite the ultimate victory of Imam Husayn (A), the grief and tragedy that is in Karbala is too much to bear.
Truly, Imam Husayn (A) showed the world for all of time, that sacrifice on the path of Allah and for the sake of Allah, has no limits.
But do we think about the tragedy and the grief of those who survived the event of Karbala or those who weren\\\'t in the land of Karbala on the day of Ashura, but are intricately and intimately connected to it.
Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei relates us a heart-breaking tragedy that didn\\\'t occur in the sands of Karbala, but was intimately connected to it.
O\\\' Abbas, how was it that the enemy was able to hit you with a mace, for you are the bravest lion of Bani Hashim.

You know, sometimes you think you know someone, but actually you just know OF them.
So then, what\\\'s the difference between knowing OF someone and REALLY knowing someone?
How do you treat someone you REALLY know versus someone who you just know of?
Finally, but most importantly, it\\\'s time to think hard about whether you just know OF the Imam of your time or you REALLY know the Imam of your time.
Sister Spade explains something we all need to understand and work on.
It\\\'s not enough to simply know OF the Imam.
It\\\'s time to REALLY know the Imam of your time, for he surely not only knows OF you, but he REALLY knows you as well.

Given the importance of what is at stake and the seriousness of the situation, we have decided to produce this mini-series dedicated to the NEOM Project;
We will deal with many subjects, as varied as each other, but all necessary to become aware of what is being prepared with this project, which is presented under different aspects.
We will talk about archaeology, history of the Prophets, geopolitics, but also Artificial Intelligence, quantum physics or eschatology.
This series is here to question us about the NEOM project, it brings some thoughts but it is up to you to conduct your own research to deepen the subject.
We invite you to send us your questions in comments in order to enrich our reflection, we will dedicate the last episode of this series to try to answer them.

We are at the end of one century and the start of a new century based on the Hijri solar calendar. Even if it wasn’t the beginning of a new century the changes in the world show that a long period of history has finished and the state of the world is changing.
Maybe we couldn’t have said this eight months ago. We couldn’t have said it last year. But now, with the events that we are witnessing in the world in recent months and in the period that we are in, everyone agrees that we are at a turn in history, an expression used by the dear Leader of the Islamic Revolution.
The last century can be called the century of the rise and fall of Western civilization. When I was a teenager, about fifty years ago, people used to say that we are at the end of the world. But this statement was retracted by the world\\\'s most prominent thinkers some time ago. Fukuyama said, “I was wrong when I said the end of history is liberal democracy. We don’t know where the end of history is because liberal democracy hasn’t been successful.”
What do you predict for this coming century? What do you suggest for its name? I have a suggestion for the name of this century. The coming century is bringing a civilization that will replace Western civilization. It will be an alternative civilization to Western civilization, according to many thinkers. Of course, they say this quietly and don’t announce it frequently on TV.
The alternative civilization will be the \\\"new Islamic civilization.\\\" The future civilization will be a \\\"Mahdavi [Imam Mahdi] civilization.\\\" Why am I saying this? Because no one in the world has any plans for the future! There is no thinker in the world to say that the future will be determined by socialism, or by liberal democracy, or to say the future will be determined by a certain lifestyle.
Yes, in terms of technology, they say technology will advance a lot! Yes, it is said that the world’s governments will be saved from dictatorial rulers. Yes, everyone is saying that a new chaos is being created in the world. Everyone says these things. But can the United Nations ensure order in the world? No. The previous century was the century of the rise and fall of Western civilization. The next century is the century of the new Islamic civilization.
It has been narrated from Imam Muhammad Baqir (as), “Our government will be the last government. Because after our government has been established, has succeeded and that great civilization ‘has been raised by God above all religions’ [Qur’an 61:9], no one will say, ‘If I had been in charge, I would have done that too.’” According to Imam Baqir (as), when that government is established no one will have anything else to say. A theoretical vacuum will have existed.
There is no voice in the universe talking about the future of the world for us to evaluate it to see if it is right or wrong! No one in the world says that in the future everyone will go toward Marxism, or that everyone will go toward a certain religion. Except for us. We are the only ones talking about the future! For forty years, we have been answering in religious forums. We have answered doubts. We have answered false claims. There is no longer a false claim in the world for us to answer! No one even has a claim for the future.
Only these minarets and mosques of yours talk about the future. Only you have hope for the future! This is a big celebration itself. And our community must be the one to explain the Mahdavi civilization. Every mosque, gathering, class or book that does not talk about the Mahdavi future of the world, has reduced its own value to nearly zero. Tell me about the future! What will the future be like?

A Special Mindset for the Nights of Power (Laylatul Qadr)
Why don’t we take full advantage of God’s Kindness? We are prevented from benefiting from God’s Mercy because we count on ourselves. This barrier is arrogance, being conceited about our possessions and achievements.
We never talk to God as if we are a criminal, cutthroat, villain. No, we talk to God as if we are honorable people, “God, as You are aware, I’m obviously one of Your good servants. And I haven’t had a fault thus far. But, I decided to turn to You tonight to say if You want to grant me more blessings, sure, I agree! Yes, I have some faults. It is possible I haven’t done as much as I should.” This person is the epitome of arrogance. This person is not able to benefit from God’s Mercy.
During the Nights of Power (Qadr) I like to go amongst the crowd of worshippers and see who has come for the first time, a person who has a history of serious wrongdoing! And, he is too embarrassed to talk. People ask him, “Sir, would you like a Qur’an?” When he wants to take the Qur’an, he thinks, “I’m too embarrassed to touch it. I have nothing, absolutely nothing to say.”
If I find such a person during the Nights of Power, I’ll go and stand behind him. I’ll say, “God, whatever you grant him, grant to me too.” He doesn’t have a trace of arrogance. He has no pretentiousness at all. Others go back home happily. But, this person is still standing. Towards the end, he will say, “God, did You look at me too?” This kind of person will make use of God’s Mercy that night.
Benefiting from God’s Mercy is very hard. Why? Because we count on ourselves. Don’t count on yourself. Are you able to go to a gathering of worshippers to repent like that criminal? You won’t go. You’d say, “It’s impossible. Is it possible?! Thank God, I’m not that bad either.”
We are even proud of our deeds, which we haven’t done! At least he has done some good deeds. We tell ourselves, “We still have time until the end of the Month of Ramadan.” “Till the end of the month?! But, you haven’t done anything yet!” “I’ll do something. Don’t worry!”
We are prevented from benefiting from God’s Mercy because we count on ourselves. What should we do to stop counting on ourselves? The supplications narrated from the Household of the Prophet (‘a) are excellent opportunities. A supplication says, “God, even if I had done a good deed, I shouldn’t have relied on it. I should have relied on Your Grace. And now, I haven’t even done that good deed. So, I must only rely on Your Grace. What should I do if You don’t look at me?”

What is your purpose in practicing religion? We can mention other reasons for our religiosity. They are right too. But it\'s not suitable to word it like that. It’s not nice or pleasant to say it like that. [We can count them,] “One, two, three, four.” Usually the reasons mentioned are not accurate. It’s more accurate to say, “I want to enjoy more.”
Why do you want to enjoy more in this world and in the Hereafter? Because God has created me to enjoy, not to suffer. God is kind. He has allowed me to experience pleasures and has created me in a way that I pursue enjoyments. He doesn’t say, “Don’t touch it! I want to bother you.” Is God like this?! One doesn’t understand God if he thinks he hasn’t been created to enjoy.
Have you seen how some fathers are a little grudging? God forbid, I don’t want to insult fathers. Or some employers or bosses. For example, a father sees his child is playing. As soon as he sees his child playing, he says, “Shouldn’t you be studying now?!” [The child says,] “You can’t tolerate me playing? You have to remind me now?!” Some people think the same way about God. They think God likes to see us suffering!
What is your purpose in practicing religion? Don’t say, “So I won’t go to Hell.” Don’t say, “I’m forced to.” Only a part of this is true! Don’t say, “This is God’s right.” What will happen next after you carry out God’s right? Will you enjoy it? [You’ll say,] “No, I’m not after enjoying.” You force me to say something! I have to tell you, “Kiddo! You’re not at that level! You’ll go astray with one small pleasure. And now you’re talking about carrying out God’s right?!”
Human beings have been created to enjoy. “Why do you practice religion?” To enjoy. “Is practicing religion the way for us to enjoy?” Yes! Now the second part of the discussion starts. Yes, no one else knows how to show the way. [One might say,] “No, God is showing us how to stay away from sins.” God is not that boring! God has created me to enjoy. Is it rational for Him to not let me enjoy? [He won’t say,] “I’ve created you to enjoy, but don’t touch anything! Go away!” This is a misconception about God! Such a God is not kind.
We say, “In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful.” God Who is kind has created me to enjoy. We can’t deny this. Wouldn’t this be unkind for Him to tell me to move away [from pleasures]?
What is your purpose in practicing religion? We can mention other reasons for our religiosity. They are right too. But it\'s not accurate to word it like that. It’s more accurate to say, “I want to enjoy more.”

The truth is that God hasn’t asked that much from us. Have you heard, “Take a step and God will send His blessings”? Have you heard the tradition, “Take one step toward God, and God will take ten steps toward you”? Have you heard this tradition that when you move slowly toward God, He’ll run toward you? What is the first step we should take?
God embraces a person who is aware of his or her own faults. He caresses them very much! He is incredibly kind to them! This is to such an extent that even if you feel you don’t have any faults, just tell God that you do. Then see how God will embrace you. Nonetheless, it is impossible that a person has no flaws. But even if one is not aware of his faults, he should tell God, “God, in general I have flaws. But I’m not aware of my flaws.”
One should say, “Al-Afw (forgive me)” 300 times in his midnight prayer. The Holy Prophet (s) advised us to ask for God’s forgiveness at least 70 times a day. God hasn’t asked that much from us. Have you heard, “Take a step and God will send His blessings”? Have you heard the tradition, “Take one step toward God, and God will take ten steps toward you”? Have you heard this tradition that when you move slowly toward God, He’ll run toward you?
What is the first step we should take? We should know our own fault. This is half a step or sometimes one complete step. Then God will help you eliminate this defect. He’ll design the rest of your life in such a way that you are corrected. After that, you shouldn’t think you did something special in confronting your will and purifying yourself. When you look, you’ll see that God has made the rest possible.
This is how it truly is. God arranges the rest so that you can eliminate that flaw. In some cases, He corrects you right away. He doesn’t bother you and allow it to take much time. God becomes very happy! [According to the traditions,] God says, “When a sinner turns back to Me, it’s as if I’ve found something I’d lost. When a sinner turns back to Me, like a person who has lost his food and water in a desert and is perishing, then he suddenly finds them, I become happy in this way.”
We are that sinner! When we recognize we have a sin, God becomes happy as if He has found something He’d lost. It’s as if God was perishing due to His thirst, then He found water. It’s as if God becomes excited! Of course, these are our inaccurate interpretations. But this analogy has been mentioned in the traditions. We should become excited if we find a defect in ourselves. So let’s search within ourselves to find our defects.

==============================
The most important feature of a goal is that it should create a fire from within a person. It should give warmth, strengthen, entertain and give direction to a person’s imaginations. This is how a person’s goal should be, otherwise one’s life is useless. [As a poem says,] “Pray over his body although he’s not dead.” A life in which one’s goal doesn’t give warmth and doesn’t answer one’s need for love is a very low level of life.
In our life, everything really depends on the goal we choose. Imagine if you let people be free but don’t talk about religion, God’s commands or beliefs. Just tell people, “Live with a goal that warms you, creates a fire and answers your need for love. See where you can find this goal yourself.” They can’t find such a goal even if false propaganda is used.
Have you seen that people talk about love and affection? It’s interesting that everyone talks about love, but no one reaches to it. Everyone likes and admires a life filled with love. Instead of using the term “a life with love,” God has designed this in religion in this way that He says, “Set your goal to be getting close to Me.” Getting close to God will light a fire (of love) in one’s heart. Maybe when people talk about a life with love, this is what they mean.
And we have worked so poorly and weakly in this regard! The effects of our deeds have sometimes been so repulsive that we haven’t been able to help people to understand this attractive, affectionate, deep, and so rational concept of getting close to God. People do not know religion to be getting close to God. But no deed without having the intention of getting close to God is accepted. Unfortunately, if you introduce religion without the concept of getting close to God, religion will seem awful to people. Those people [who’ve learned this kind of religion] are right to hate it. Perhaps religion without the passionate, attractive meaning of closeness to God has been taught to them.
Imagine if one is able to understand such a goal, he sets it as his goal and he is able to gradually strengthen this goal. Imagine what effects this will have on one’s heart. The explosive part of religion that awakens one’s heart and causes him to move can be found in the concepts of getting close to God and how to get close to Him. God shows us this majestic universe and says, “I have created these. These are my creation. Now look at Me Myself.” It’s incomparable. Then God says, “Set your goal to be getting close to Me.”

When does an enemy feel that it is the best time to strike a nation?
What is the result when the officials of a country disregard and act against the words of the nation’s leader?
Besides, what was the Leader of the Islamic Revolution\\\'s opinion on negotiating with America?
Furthermore, how are differences of opinion good and useful, at times?
And where should there be no differences of opinion?

When does an enemy feel that it is the best time to strike a nation?
What is the result when the officials of a country disregard and act against the words of the nation’s leader?
Besides, what was the Leader of the Islamic Revolution\\\'s opinion on negotiating with America?
Furthermore, how are differences of opinion good and useful, at times?
And where should there be no differences of opinion?

Translation:
I swear by God who spread out the earth and created the heavens
And by the revelation and signs Gabriel brought
I call out with nobility until the Day of Resurrection
That I shall die with dignity and not humiliation, never!
If the bloodthirsty blade should sever my head
If the sword drawn for battle should cut out my liver
If they send a three-pronged arrow instead of water to my fresh flower
If through my brother\'s pain the enemy should break my back
Murdered by tears, taken prisoner by hardships
Will you write my sorrows in Karbala with mere pen and ink?
Never! Grief can only be written in flowing tears
If my enemy surrounds me and shoots me with arrows
If my head, shoulders, and body must bear the strikes of swords
If a stone should strike my brow and cover my luminous face in blood
If instead of water, my cruel enemy gives fire
If I die a hundred times from my son’s burning fever
They wronged me, killed me, and forgot who I am
Until I lived in a world of grief and suffering
All the sorrows of the world have gathered here
By God, who willed me to suffer a hundred cuts
Two hundred spears and swords did not hurt my body
I will never take the hand of my oppressors or accept humiliation
Even if they bring all the inhabitants of the heavens and the earth to fight me
(Husayn, my life, how you were wronged…)
I did not break my pledge to worship God alone
I swear, I never worshipped anyone but God
I swear, I am the son of the Lion of God and the son of Fatima
An Arab, an Alid, from the line of the Quraysh, of the tree
The son of a veteran of Uhud and Badr, a son of Fatima, of the moon
I gave my everything, my seventy-two companions gave their lives
It is I with crimson face
It is I with blood gushing from my throat
It is I with thirst like a dagger
It is I with the grief of the youth
It is I in the dust of the desert
It is I beneath the horses\' hooves
I am beloved to God who guides
But in Karbala I am alone, stripped, and covered in dust
Strange that I should taste death while I am thirsty
Who is there to protect me, my beard dyed with blood?
I am here with severed veins and shredded heart
I am here with my little child, my thirsty infant
I am here with my imprisoned daughter
I am here with the Ever-Living, the Eternal One
Does anyone worship the Lord above as I do?
For I am the niche of the one for whom the blade came while he was in prayer
When my child was slain and by family taken captive, when my neck was cut
When I was slain thirsty beside the river’s waters
I am here with many wounds, I am here with the verses of the Qur’an
I am here with the parched tongues, I am here with the tips of the arrows
Let all come and see our stand, our nobility, and our dignity
(Husayn, my life, how you were wronged…)
Here all can see what became of me
Would the Prophet, the best of humankind
Be pleased by these claws tearing into Husayn?
By God, by the Messenger, by Ali son of Abi Talib, and by Zahra the Pure
And my brother Hasan al-Mujtaba, the paragon of virtue
My brother, how do you feel seeing the horses trample my chest?
And my seventy-two companions, my Habib, my Zuhayr, and my Tirmah
my John and Wahb, all of pure heart
By the dignity, the nobility, the sternness of Abbas
By Uthman and by Ja’far, by the two martyrs of Aqil
By the pure hearts of Abdallah and Qasim
By Ali Akbar and his pain, by Ali Asghar and his blood
The full moon beats its chest with both hands from grief
Shedding tears that flow like silver, crying out in lament
Broken-hearted, O my support, O my aspiration, O my beloved, O Husayn!
(Husayn, my life, how you were wronged…)
By the jasmine of Medina, by Ruqayya, by Sakina
By Zaynab’s stricken heart and her two martyred sons
By the dry lips of my little children
By the weary body of my beloved son Sajjad
I shall never flee from these oppressors
Nor shall I give allegiance or make peace with tyrants
My head is upon the spearhead in the way of God, speaking with the Beloved
I will bear the slings and arrows, for I swear I see nothing but God
(Husayn, my life, how you were wronged…)
By the Arab Prophet, the Messenger of Medina
And by his brother, the Lion of God called Ali
By Zahra the pure, by the mother of her father
And by his grandsons, his lion cubs, they are the scions of purity
By al-Sajjad, by al-Baqir, and by al-Sadiq, truly!
And by Musa, and Ali, and Taqi, and Naqi
And by the one imprisoned in Samarra and by God’s Authority who will rise up with the truth
Who will strike out with the sword to rule for eternity
And by Muhammad and Muhammad and by Ali and Ali
(Husayn, my life, how you were wronged…)

In the Name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful
The holy month of Ramadan is a celebration of our spirituality.
There is a celebration in the believers’ hearts that they are the special guests of the Almighty God.
We see the peak of God’s affection to us in this dear month.
More than thinking of how to have affection for God,
we should be busy thinking about God’s affection and grace toward ourselves.
We should feel ashamed and thankful so that our worshiping during the month of Ramadan
be full of emotions and feelings due to these two aspects.
We should be thankful for God’s abundant grace and feel ashamed that we are unable to respond appropriately to the Almighty God.
Perhaps it’s better if during this holy month of Ramadan, we don’t go to God in order to get something.
Rather, we go to Him to respond and thank Him for what He has given us up until now.
Many ask for forgiveness, ask for their needs, ask for their future and ask to have a good end. These are good.
But we should keep in mind that what is more obligatory is to be thankful about what God has given us.
“If you give thanks, I will increase you.” [Qur’an 14:07]
If we are thankful, whatever we want will be given to us in more abundance.
If we worship God thankfully during the month of Ramadan,
then the whole world will see that the Muslims and the believers are the most cheerful people.
We also fast during the Eids. Fasting brings cheerfulness.
This should be shown to the people of the world.
Those who measure societies\' cheerfulness
should measure the cheerfulness of the believers and the Islamic nation.
They will see that no community is as cheerful as the believers are, especially during the month of Ramadan.
In each month of Ramadan, the believers gain one year’s thankfulness, happiness, vitality and cheerfulness.
Along with other prayers and supplications, it is necessary for us to remember the Imam of the Time (aj) during the holy month of Ramadan.
We feel ashamed and are thankful to the Imam (aj) because he is praying for us.
We feel ashamed that with all the claims we make and although we are calling him, we have not yet been able to bring to an end the Imam’s being alone.
We are ashamed that we haven’t been able to prove our claim to the people of the world
and to prove to our children that we want to help the Imam.
There are some people who deserve to be able to help him.
But it seems we haven’t all been accepted in this way, because he is still in occultation.
The month of Ramadan is a month when Imam Mahdi (aj) should be remembered.
The month of Ramadan is a month for worshipping.
Perhaps we can say the top of the supplications for the month of Ramadan is the “Iftitah Supplication.”
One fourth of the Iftitah Supplication is about the Imam of the Time (aj) and matters related to him, which are actually outstanding points.
I wish we were able to read the Iftitah Supplication every night during this holy month of Ramadan
and remember the Imam of the Time (aj).
We consider the night before the 15th of Sha’ban to be a night that is related to the Imam of the Time (aj) since this night is the anniversary of his birth.
In the same way but due to other aspects, we should consider the month of Ramadan, especially its last ten nights, to be related to the Imam of the Time (aj) and remembering him.
During the Nights of Destiny, the file of our deeds is shown to him and he signs our file.
The last ten days [of this holy month] are the nights when we should recite the magnificent supplication, “Allahumma Kun Li Waliyyak al-Hujjah…”
Whatever we ask for from God, He gives to us based on the signature, management, guardianship and supervision of Imam Mahdi (aj).
We pray that the Imam of the Time (aj) himself will intercede for us so that we will have a cheerful month of Ramadan that is filled with remembering Imam Mahdi (Aj).
I ask all the believers to pray for me.

Letter 28: In reply to Mu\'awiyah, and it is one ot his most elegant writings
Now, your letter has reached me wherein you recall that Allah chose Muhammad (S) for His religion and helped him through those companions who helped him. Strange things about you have remained concealed (by the irony of fate) from us, since you have started telling us of Allah\'s trials for us and His bounties to us through our Prophet. In this matter, you are like the person who carries dates to Hajar, or who challenges his own master to a duel in archery.
You think that so - and- so are the most distinguished persons in Islam. You have said such a thing which if it be true, you have nothing to do with it, but if it be not so, then its defect will not affect you. And what are you to do with the question of who is better and who is worse, or who is the ruler and who is the ruled. What have the freed ones and their sons to do with distinguishing between the first muhajirun and determining their position or defining their ranks. What a pity! the sound of an arrow is being produced by what is not a real arrow, and he against whom the judgement is to be passed is sitting in judgement. O man, why do you not see your own lameness and remain within bounds, and why do not you realize the shortness of your measure and stay back where destiny has placed you. You have no concern with the defeat of the defeated or the victory of the victor.
You are wandering in bewilderment and straying from the right path. Do you not realize it? I am not giving you any news: I am just recounting Allah\'s bounty, namely that a number of people from among the muhajirun (immigrants from Mecca) and ansar (helpers) fell as martyrs in the way of Allah the Sublime, and that each of them is distinguished (on that account), but when one of us secured martyrdom he was named the Chief of all martyrs, and the Messenger of Allah (S) gave him the peculiar honour of saying seventy takbir (Allahu Akbar) during his funeral prayer.
Do you not know that a number of people lost their hands in the way of Allah, and that everyone is distinguished (on that account), but when the same thing occurred to one of us he was given the name \"the flier in Paradise\"; and \"the two winged\". If Allah had not forbidden self-praise, the writer would have mentioned numerous distinctions which the believer knows full well and which the ears of hearers do not wish to forget.

Everybody has a Khaybar.
And a \'Khaybar\' is a great fortress that seems to be undefeatable at face value, but with the power of the Almighty Allah and some sincere effort on our part, we can - in the end - come out victorious and triumphant.
But you\'re going to have to dig deep and figure out \"Where Is YOUR KHAYBAR Today?\"
It could very well be depression, anxiety, financial or familial problems, or even something like having no hope or not wanting to wake up in the morning.
But what two attributes are absolutely necessary if you want to be able to overcome and defeat YOUR Khaybar?
And what is a critical question that we must all ask ourselves that will help us to get through our struggles?
What does Imam Ali (A) say about the companions of Imam al-Mahdi (A), while keeping our discussion in view?
Finally, \"Where Is YOUR KHAYBAR Today?\" and perhaps more importantly, how will you defeat it and come out victorious?
Sister Spade explains and answers these questions and more, based upon selections from the book, The Essence of Creation, 3rd edition, as she asks us all a profound and necessary question, \"Where is YOUR KHAYBAR Today?\".
And remember, with the help of the Almighty Allah and some sincere effort on your part, you will definitely overcome YOUR Khaybar, even if it\'s waking up and living another day for the sake of Imam al-Mahdi (A).

We bring y\'all a highlight of \"Liberating Khorramshahr Update 1\", which highlights a few points from the original episode because since the release of this original episode on \"A Savage Wolf, the Sacred Defense, and Some Heartless Ringleaders\", practically one whole year has passed, and a good highlight of the episode was all too necessary, especially since we are on the cusp of the Liberation of Khorramshahr.
But please keep in mind that with all the different current events going on in the world, we all really need a funny, relaxed, refreshing, and yet eye-opening commentary on it all.
So Sayyid Shahryar was here to humbly shed a little insight into all that\'s going on around the world; past, present, and perhaps even future.
And in this original episode of \'Keepin\' It Real\', we talked about \'A Savage Wolf, the Sacred Defense, and Some Heartless Ringleaders\'.
But who in the world is \'A Savage Wolf\'?
And when did \'the Sacred Defense\' begin and in what country did it occur, and how long did it last?
And what is an interesting, but unfortunate point about \'the Sacred Defense\'?
And why do we call \'the Savage Wolf\', \'the Savage Wolf\'?
What is an arbitrary killing and approximately how many arbitrary killings were committed by \'the Savage Wolf\'?
Why does the host keep saying \'Yip, Yip!\'?
Finally, what values did \'the Sacred Defense\' defend?
Hey, we\'re just \"Keepin\' It Real\".

There were a few more points that we wanted to highlight, but couldn\\\\\\\'t fit it all into the first episodes\\\\\\\' intro, so we give you friends a \\\\\\\"Khorramshahr Is Liberated Update 2\\\\\\\" in order to finalize the highlights of these two episodes on the Liberation of Khorramshahr.
But please try to remember that with all the different current events going on in the world, we all really need a funny, relaxed, refreshing, and yet eye-opening commentary on it all.
So Sayyid Shahryar was here to humbly shed a little insight into all that\\\\\\\'s going on around the world; past, present, and perhaps even future.
In this original episode of \\\\\\\'Keepin\\\\\\\' It Real\\\\\\\', we continued and finished talking about \\\\\\\'A Savage Wolf, the Sacred Defense, and Some Heartless Ringleaders\\\\\\\' in the original episode titled \\\\\\\'A Savage Wolf, the Sacred Defense, and Some Heartless Ringleaders II\\\\\\\'.
But who in the world was absolutely looney enough to have given \\\\\\\'A Savage Wolf\\\\\\\' the tools and means for him to use chemical weapons?
And who are \\\\\\\'Some Heartless Ringleaders\\\\\\\' and why do we call them \\\\\\\'Some Heartless Ringleaders\\\\\\\'?
What all did \\\\\\\'Some Heartless Ringleaders\\\\\\\' provide \\\\\\\'A Savage Wolf\\\\\\\' with during \\\\\\\'the Sacred Defense\\\\\\\'?
And approximately how much money was given in loans to \\\\\\\'A Savage Wolf\\\\\\\' by \\\\\\\'Some Heartless Ringleaders\\\\\\\'?
And who all was dumb enough to provide a \\\\\\\'one-way loan\\\\\\\' to \\\\\\\'A Savage Wolf\\\\\\\'?
And somebody please answer why the host keeps saying \\\\\\\'Yip, Yip!\\\\\\\'?
Finally, and most especially, and very uniquely, and quite fortunately, and rather joyfully, what is the condition of \\\\\\\'A Savage Wolf\\\\\\\', and \\\\\\\'Some Heartless Ringleaders\\\\\\\', and \\\\\\\'the Sacred Defense\\\\\\\'?
Hey, we\\\\\\\'re just \\\\\\\"Keepin\\\\\\\' It Real\\\\\\\".

The second half of the video has Persian lyrics. Here is a related and very insightful excerpt from Shaheed Baqir Sadr's book THE AWAITED SAVIOR: The Mahdi is not only an embodiment of the Islamic belief but he is also the symbol of an aspiration cherished by mankind irrespective of its divergent religious doctrines. He is also the crystallization of an instructive inspiration through which all people, regardless of their religious affiliations, have learned to await a day when a heavenly mission, with all its implications, will achieve their final goal and the tiring march of humanity across history will culminate satisfactorily in peace and tranquillity....... The religion, when it endorses this common consciousness and stresses that in the long run this world will be filled with justice and equity after having been filled with injustice and oppression, gives it a factual value and converts it into a definite belief in the future course of humanity. This belief is not merely a source of consolation, but it is also a source of virtue and strength. It is a source of virtue because the belief in the Mahdi means the total elimination of injustice and oppression prevailing in the world. It is a source of inexhaustible strength because it provides hope which enables man to resist frustration, howsoever, hopeless and dismal the circumstances may be. The belief in the appointed day proves that it is possible for the forces of justice to face the world filled with injustice and oppression, to prevail upon the forces of injustice and to reconstruct the world order. After all prevalence of injustice, howsoever dominant and extensive it may become, is an abnormal state and must in the long run be eliminated. The prospect of its elimination after reaching its climax, infuses a great hope in every persecuted individual and every oppressed nation that it is still possible to change the state of affairs. -- http://www.al-islam.org/awaited/index.htm

Let me have mercy on orphans,
Feed hungry,
spread peace,
company of noble minded,
o shelter of the hopeful!
God has ordered the powerful people of the society to take responsibility for the weak, esp those who are orphans
One who helps an orphan actually does it only for God,as an orphan is the helpless one and you get nothing in return ,,
Hadith:if someone put his hand on the head of the orphan with mercy,he gets the hasanat(rewards) comparable to the number of hairs that were covered!
Let me have the capablity to feed the people;
Most deserving are those who are not well fed already,if you dont get any such people deserving, look beyond your vicinity,,the point is not just feeding, but give a helping hand to those who are deprived,,
Make sure, that you are in the company with such pepople who are deprived,,
Todays world despite of having the best means of communications ever, has invented extreme ignorance among people personal affairs,,one who is rich,is not aware of the those who are sufferers, and those suffering, find them alone ,,,
when quran praises Alh ul Bait ,of their giving food in the way of God,,He says that they give sincerely in the way of God and expect nothing in return,,,
Let me spread peace,,
one of the greatness of the religion that it brings people closer thru the greeting of peace,,religion asks you to say salams to one another and say it with heart,,desire really from the botom of the heart that you really want to give somthing good to the other person,,let it not be only a ritual,,,rather make it really a live gift,,
Let me have the company of the who have great will power,
,,one who feels pleasure in carrying out the commands,,does not falls back,,
Imam Ali says if you sit with such peple you will learn greatness and they will be helpful as well,,
Once when we are thinking for the company of our kids ,this should be bore in mind as well,,,give them good company,,
sometimes we feel pleasure with those who are not very practicing,,but at the same time we say we want good company,,this means that we are decieving ourselves,,
it is the greatness of such great will- powered people,,that they will turn you same like them,,
If you wnat to chk your standards of your ethical status,,see your company,,,
O shelter of teh hopeful!!

Let me have the capablity to feed the people;
Most deserving are those who are not well fed already,if you dont get any such people deserving, look beyond your vicinity,,the point is not just feeding, but give a helping hand to those who are deprived,,
Make sure, that you are in the company with such pepople who are deprived,,
Todays world despite of having the best means of communications ever, has invented extreme ignorance among people personal affairs,,one who is rich,is not aware of the those who are sufferers, and those suffering, find them alone ,,,
when quran praises Alh ul Bait ,of their giving food in the way of God,,He says that they give sincerely in the way of God and expect nothing in return,,,
Let me spread peace,,
one of the greatness of the religion that it brings people closer thru the greeting of peace,,religion asks you to say salams to one another and say it with heart,,desire really from the botom of the heart that you really want to give somthing good to the other person,,let it not be only a ritual,,,rather make it really a live gift,,
Let me have the company of the who have great will power,
,,one who feels pleasure in carrying out the commands,,does not falls back,,
Imam Ali says if you sit with such peple you will learn greatness and they will be helpful as well,,
Once when we are thinking for the company of our kids ,this should be bore in mind as well,,,give them good company,,
sometimes we feel pleasure with those who are not very practicing,,but at the same time we say we want good company,,this means that we are decieving ourselves,,
it is the greatness of such great will- powered people,,that they will turn you same like them,,
If you wnat to chk your standards of your ethical status,,see your company,,,
O shelter of teh hopeful!!

Fatima Zahra, Prophet Mohammad's Dear Daughter:
Not more than three months had passed since the sad departure of God's last messenger Hazrat Mohammad (PBUH) from the mortal world, his noble daughter, Fatemah Zahra (SA), fell was confined to bed with serious illness.
Some 90 days had passed since the passing-away of the Last Messenger of Allah Hazrat Mohammad (PBUH), and every day, Fatemah (SA) used to sit beside the tomb of her dear father, and in doleful whispers, disclose to him her inner mysteries, because the people of Medina had complained that her grief for the Departed Messenger was disturbing their peace. Strange way indeed for the Muslims to behave.
But, now the holy lady, especially after the injury inflicted on her and her feelings by people who denied her rights, had elapsed into her last moments of mortal life.
Her devoted husband, Imam Ali (PBUH) and four siblings, had surrounded her bed. A bitter sense of grief was looming on the noble Ahl ol-Bayt. A strange feeling was contorting Ali's throat. He remembered how much her dear wife had dedicated her entire life to the path of Allah. The scenes of Fatemah's kind and gentle conduct were passing in Imam Ali's mind. He remembered Fatemah engrossed in midnight prayer, supplicating for the well being of neighbours.
Meanwhile, Imam Ali recalled Hazrat Mohammad's (Pbuh) words that "God becomes angry by Fatemah's anger and is pleased at her satisfaction."
He also remembered the last will of Hazrat Mohammad (Pbuh) about Fatemah.
In the meantime, Fatemah opened her mouth and said:
"My cousin, in my marital life with you, I never lied to you or acted against your will."
The heart-rendering words deeply affected Imam Ali.
She added: "Now the angels, along with Messenger Mohammad are coming towards me. Greetings to Gabriel. Greetings to the Messenger of Allah. Greetings to your promised words, O my father. Greetings to your sweet smile."
Fatemah left the world a martyr and her noble spirit was carried on the wings of the angels to the presence of her Creator, Almighty Allah.
Imam Ali took Fatemah's hand, looked at the sky and remembered the day Messenger Mohammad had blessed their marriage by putting her hand in his. But, now it was the time of separation. Shedding tears of sorrow, Imam Ali told Fatemah in a trembling tone:
"After you, I will not have a happy moment in the world. I am crying because I fear my life may be prolonged after you."
It was on 20th Jamadi al-Akhar, 5th year after the divine revelation (corresponding to 613 AD), Messenger Mohammad and his faithful wife Khadijah, were blessed by the birth of a baby girl, whom the Messenger named Fatemah.
The Prophet said: "I named my daughter Fatemah because Allah has protected her and her followers from fire."
She was also known as Zahra or the Radiant. The childhood era of Hazrat Fatemah was the most difficult era of the history of Islam. For, the small community of Muslims in Mecca, were under increasing pressure from idolaters and disbelieves.
Fatemah was raised in the school of her father and the loving lap of her mother Khadijah. Since childhood, Fatemah witnessed the sufferings of her father, and was always at his side to soothe him.
Following the demise of Hazrat Khadijah, the young Fatemah took upon herself all household tasks and was often referred by her father as an angel in human cover, and a part of his heart.
Whenever the Messenger looked at his daughter, he became filled with joy.
After migration to Medina, the Messenger rejected all offers for Fatemah's hand from wealthy Arabs, and married her to his young cousin, the valiant Ali. It was said that if there was no Ali, Fatemah would have remained without a consort.
The Messenger used to stand whenever his daughter would enter her house. Before going on a trip, Fatemah's house was the last one the Messenger would bid farewell, and after returning from the trip, it was the first one that he would visit. The ultimate sense of love, kindness and devotion between father and daughter was manifested in the attribute the Messenger gave her, that is: Omme Abiha - which means Mother of Her Father. Peace be upon her immaculate soul.

Why is it so hard to rise above their selfish needs and desires? Many people that do understand the consequences of consumerism do not always do anything substantial to resist it because often they themselves are deep into materialism in one way or another. Some of these people may hate Bill Gates and Donald Trump but at the same time they want to become rich and famous like these two. That is true for people in the West and the East. Materialism that was a result of a specific historical experience of the so called Modernity is the West is pretty much a global phenomenon today. Thanks to corporatization in the name of globalization! Consumerism is but one facet of the larger phenomenon of materialism. Simple quantitative changes in our lifestyle would not do much. What we need is a fundamental qualitative change in our lives and in our societies. ---- In the clip one of the organizers of the world-wide Buy-Nothing-Day Kalle Lasn was interviewed by a CNN anchor in one of the previous years. ----

Dua Tawassul is a supplication recited by the Followers of the Family of the Prophet of Islam -Ahlulbayt- in which they ask Allah-the Exalted-for the intercession of those pure people whom He has spoken of in the Quran - when Allah says -None shall have the power of intercession but such a one as has received permission -or promise- from -Allah- Most Gracious - 19.87 - Who is there can intercede in His presence except as He permitteth 2.255 - no intercession avail except for those for whom permission has been granted by -God- 20.109 - And those whom they call upon besides Him have no authority for intercession. BUT he who bears witness of the truth and they know -him- 43.86 - And how many an angel is there in the heavens whose intercession does not avail at all except after Allah has given permission to whom He pleases and chooses - 53.26 Question - Does Allah -swt- allow us to use others as a Wasila -means of approach- to him. Yes - Allah -swt- tells us in the Quran that the sole reason for creating Man and Jinn is so that they worship Him. We are here to worship Allah who also says in the Quran -Fear Allah and find a wasila to him 5.35. The definition of wasila is -a means of approach- so worship is not direct - it is attained via a means of approach - a guide. Remember Allah -swt- is not telling you to create a wasila - he is telling you to find it. So it exists - it is down to you to find it. For mankind that wasila can only be through a fellow human being - we have no contact with jinns and therefore they cannot act as a wasila. Angels likewise cannot act as a wasila to Allah -swt- as they have no contact with us until the time of death. The wasila will have to be a human being- because the earth is inhabited by humans and as Allah says when explaining the appointment of Prophets -If there were angels on the earth I would send them an angel as a Prophet from heaven -Surat al Isra verse 95 Question - Is this Dua authentic - Shaykh Tusi says - in his book Misbah - that Imam Hassan bin Ali Al Askari a.s. wrote this duaa for Abu Muhammad who requested him to teach him the proper way of reciting salawat. Allama Majlisi has mentioned this duaa on the authority of Ibn babawayh who confidently says that there is no difficulty or problem that this duaa does not solve. The merciful Allah is beseeched in the name of and for the sake of the Holy prophet and his Ahl ul Bayt. It is known as the Dua which fulfills all legitimate desires in a short amount of time.
