Protests by the anti-coup groups calling for the reinstatement of ousted President Mohamed Morsi continue in Egypt\'s universities. This comes despite violent clashes between anti-coup demonstrators and security forces as well as the army\'s supporters.
On Wednesday protests spread to Zagazig University where students rallied against disciplinary action taken by the University Administration against 4 Muslim Brotherhood students.
Violent clashes had also taken place the day before in the Delta City of Mansoura. There, Morsi\'s supporters clashed with students supporting the military. Security forces intervened to disperse the crowds by firing tear gas.
Similar clashes also took place at Cairo University but the Al Azhar University had the flashpoint of anti-coup protests and violence.
Morsi supporters staged large protests for 3 consecutive days demanding the reinstatement of the ousted president and the release of students arrested.by the security forces.
The clashes in Al Azhar University left dozens of students injured. More than 40 students were also arrested. but the Islamic Students Against the Military Coup said they would continue demonstrating against the military and the interim government untill their demands are met.
Since the start of the academic year in September, Egyptian Universities have been the scene of repeated protests and violence, which have disrupted the educational process.
Egyptian universities are among places where you can clearly see the effects of societies\' polarization between supporters of Morsi and those backing the military. If no serious reconciliation efforts are made soon, it is feared that clashes and violence could become a frequent occurrence on-campuses around the country.

Muslims particularly Shia community in Indian-controlled Kashmir marked Eid al-Ghadeer by sending the message of peace across the Muslim world. Congregational ceremonies took place in different parts of the region as a reminder to awaken the conscience of all sects of Muslims to live in harmony and brotherhood.
Eid al-Ghadeer marks the anniversary of Prophet Muhammad\'s sermon in which he appointed Imam Ali as his immediate successor.
The occasion is marked on the 18th of Dhu al-Hijjah in the Islamic calendar. Islamic Scholars believe at a time when anti-Muslim elements are creating rifts amongst Muslims, occasions like Eid al-Ghadeer are a reminder to the Muslims to stick to the path taught by the Prophet.
Here in Indian-controlled Kashmir Eid al-Ghadeeer is marked with reassertion to stay committed to Prophet Muhammad\'s teachings and belief.

Ousted Egyptian president Mohamed Morsi rejects the authority of the court that is scheduled to try him next week. Morsi supporters say he has not employed any lawyer to defend him against charges of incitement to murder. Morsi and 14 others will be brought to trial on November fourth in connection with deadly clashes between his supporters and opponents outside the presidential palace in December 2012. Morsi came from the Muslim Brotherhood. He was Egypt\'s first freely elected leader and came to power in 2012, one year after dictator Hosni Mubarak was toppled. An Egyptian panel tasked with drawing up the new draft constitution has approved an article that forbids the formation of religious parties.
The document says any political party founded on a quote religious basis will be prohibited. The ban was in place during long-time dictator Hosni Mubarak\'s rule. The panel says 138 articles of the total 247 articles have been approved. If adopted in full, the charter will be put to a popular referendum early next year. Rights groups say the new charter strengthens the military. Muslim Brotherhood supporters accuse the military-backed government of having anti-democratic tendencies. They say the proposed amendments are contrary to the goals of the 2011 revolution that ended decades of dictatorship.

Students have now been demonstrating on the university campus for four consecutive days. Security forces have used tear gas to disperse the crowds. Over a dozen others have also been injured in several cities. There were also clashes in front of an interior ministry building in Alexandria. Meanwhile, security forces have stormed the campus of the al-Mansoura University in the city with armored vehicles, and used live ammunition and gas canisters against protesting students. This is the first day of a two-day national vote on the country\'s new constitution, drafted by the army-backed interim government. Under the draft text, the formation of religious political parties is banned. Critics say the new charter only favors the army. If approved, it will replace the current constitution which was passed under Morsi. A coalition led by his Muslim Brotherhood movment has boycotted the referendum.

The Interior Ministry says based on preliminary results 95-percent of participants approved the draft. The government says the turnout may exceed fifty-five percent.
