The logo was added to medical transfer documents by Palestinian officials in December. This came after the Palestinian Authority won recognition as a UN observer state despite U-S and Israeli opposition. 70 Palestinian patients who need to go to Israeli hospitals have already been denied entry. Israeli officials are yet to comment on the issue.

The Palestinian resistance movement Hamas says it will not allow the presence of an international force in a future Palestinian state. Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri has said in a statement that the presence of an international force under a peace deal with Israel would be no different from the Israeli occupation. He urged the United States to revise its position since Hamas won\'t allow anyone to undermine its rights. Abu Zuhri also called for a united front of factions to reject the so-called peace talks between Israel and the Palestinian Authority and their outcome. He further said that the Kerry plan was put together by Americans and the Zionist entity to eradicate the Palestinian cause. Earlier, Hamas Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh slammed the talks, saying the resistance movement would not be bound by any deal with Israel.
