A Eulogy for Women
I’ll read a few eulogies for women. Men, you shout too. Women, when you reach Karbala, don’t go forward if it’s crowded. Imam Husayn (‘a) is not satisfied with women being bothered. Men, take care of your women so that they don’t get lost and have to look around for you. Women, when you reach Karbala, say, “Firstly, Imam I’m ashamed that I wasn’t in Karbala to help you.”
Say this sincerely, not the way I said it. Weep and say it. I swear to God if you say this sincerely, they’ll write your name among Husayn’s (‘a) helpers on Ashura! Say, “Secondly, I’ve come to help the Imam of my Time. Imam accept this from me!”
Women, when you reach Karbala, say Salam (send greetings) to the Imam and Hazrat Zaynab. Then say, “We feel ashamed. We were respected when coming. No one took off our veil. No one whipped us for mourning for Husayn (‘a). We only saw respect.”
Some of you have probably come with your families, and the women are listening too. It’s fine if some stand with their families and take a photo. Fine. Have fun. But, remember there was a man who fell to the ground here, and his family was taken captive. Remember this!
I don’t know how some people can put their arm on their brother’s shoulders Bayn al-Haramayn (between the shrines) facing the shrine of Abu al-Fazl and say, “I want to take a photo here.” Fine. Have fun! But, in this place a brother lost his brother and said, “Now, my back has broken!” Remember this too.
Women, when you reach Karbala, say Salam to Hazrat Zaynab. Then say, “We feel ashamed. We were respected when coming. No one took off our veil.”
Cry on the way. When you reach Karbala, these tears will have given dignity to you. When you are there, be drowned in thinking of helping God’s religion and ask Imam Mahdi (‘a.j.) to accept your help.

Established in 1972, the Imamia Students Organization Pakistan, commonly known as the \\\'I.S.O Pakistan\\\', has been able to establish itself as one of the largest student organizations in almost all major universities and colleges in the country. From its humble beginnings at the University of Engineering & Technology Lahore it also has been able to establish units in localities where students exist in considerable numbers.
ISO Pakistan primarily focuses on Islamic-led guidance and the religious upbringing of students. As an established organization it has a set of principles and a written constitution by which student members must abide by.
ISO Pakistan regulates itself through an executive council (Majlis Amla) which also acts as its legislative council. At the divisional level, the Organization implements its agenda through its Divisions approximately corresponding to the Divisional structure of Pakistan. Here it\\\'s regulated by a general body council (Majlis Amoomi).
However, the bulk of the organization is represented by its units which comprise 10 or more students in a locality. Also, students of matriculation and below are represented by its Muhibeen units.
The students engage in educational upbringing and development through a set of local and regional activities which are managed and self-funded through the organization\\\'s large local donor base. Often students engage in self preparatory learning, sports events, and organizing mehfil, majlis, dua programs, and discussions on youth affairs and current regional and international affairs.
The organization in its motto strives to develop its base as law-abiding Pakistani students who will defend the country\\\'s core ideological base and its geographical boundaries.

Diplomacy is a great tool in the arsenal of any diplomat.
Yet, is diplomacy and negotiations and compromise always a solution to certain problems at hand?
Were not the holy Prophet Muhammad (S), Imam Ali (A), lady Fatima Zahra (A), Imam Hasan (A), and Imam Husayn (A) the best and most perfect of diplomats?
Yet, did they always rely upon diplomacy?
Could have the travesty of Daesh/ISIS been resolved by mere compromise and diplomacy?
Finally, what does the holy Qur\'an, the word of Allah, say when it comes to standing up to tyrants and oppressors?
The Living Martyr, Shaheed Haj Qasem and the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Sayyid Ali Khamenei explain.

The cinema is more useful than giving a speech for religion. The Holy Prophet (s) said, “Invite people with tools other than your tongue.” Don’t invite people with your tongue. Invite them with your behavior. Behavior can be shown in the cinema. We say many things in speeches, but we are upset that no films have been made about these things. If a film had been made, it could have conveyed the message of ten days of speeches.
Interviewer, “That’s an interesting point!”
We believe the cinema is something for religion. Although, the majority of films in the history of the cinema may not have been in the interest of religion. This mistake has taken place. I think in the future, the cinema will be much more religious.
Interviewer, “So you consider the cinema to be something for religion?”
Films are a tool for conveying messages that cannot easily be conveyed in words. And religion needs films more. The cinema is more useful for religion than it is for other things. The cinema helps people experience things they don’t usually experience. The cinema shouldn’t show those experiences that everyone has experienced.
Interviewer, “What I’ve often heard some people saying is that the cinema is a technology coming from the west! And there is no need for…”
I do not accept this view. Before being the product of western technology and culture, with all its weak points, it is the result of human beings’ wisdom, thought and need. Human beings are seekers.«یُرِیدُ الْإِنْسَانُ لِیَفْجُرَ أَمَامَهُ» [Qur’an 75:5]
He wants to remove the screens blocking his eyes. He wants to do this with the cinema screen. The cinema can be a window to the world around us that we don’t have access to. The fact that this window is being abused by many is another matter. So the nature of cinema can be very religious. It can serve religion very much. We expect a film, a TV serial and other such things to show some truths to people to speed up their movement on the path of growth in life. We expect the cinema to serve not just religion, but to serve human beings much more than this.
This is doable without discussing religious matters or showing pictures of the domes of the shrines. This is doable without a movie being directly religious or being about the Friends of God or historical religious figures. This is doable without making a movie about a Mosque and the place for praying. The cinema can help human beings grow very much.

Our condolences to the believers all across the world upon the martyrdom of Lady Fatima Masuma (A).
During these days commemorating this esteemed and noble lady from the Ahlul Bayt of the holy Messenger of Allah (S), we humbly bring a CubeSync special regarding Lady Fatima Masuma of Qom.
Lady Fatima Masuma (A) is well known for her knowledge, her intelligence, her spirituality, and her wisdom.
But there are certain qualities of Lady Fatima Masuma that are seldom spoken of; what are these qualities?
And why did Lady Fatima Masuma (A) travel to Khurasan, the place where the 8th Imam, Imam Ali ibne Musa al-Redha (A) was in?
Furthermore, what is the modern-day result of the blessings of Lady Fatima Masuma (A) of Qom?
Finally, how do each and every single one of us connect directly to the esteemed and noble Lady Fatima Masuma (A) of Qom?
Sayyid Shahryar fills us in in this one-of-a-kind, Lady Fatima Masuma (A) CubeSync special.
He awaits you to join and aid the cause of Allah.

Did the Islamic world see the kind of allegiance that was witnessed during the time when Imam Ali (A) was given allegiance to by the people when they requested him to become the Caliph?
And how many people decided to not pay allegiance to Imam Ali (A)?
What did Imam Ali (A) say to the people when they asked him to be the Caliph?
Did Imam Ali (A) compromise on his Islamic principles when he was the Caliph of the Muslims?
And what were the three groups of people who fought against Imam Ali (A)?
Finally, what does Imam Ali (A) say about an individual\\\'s efforts and the end of result of one\\\'s efforts?
In this Scholar Clip, Shaykh Usama Abdulghani answers these questions and more.

With all the different current events going on in the world, we all really need a funny, relaxed, refreshing, and yet eye-opening commentary on it all.
Sayyid Shahryar\\\'s here to humbly shed a little insight into all that\\\'s going on around the world; past, present, and perhaps even future.
In this episode of \\\'Keepin\\\' It Real\\\', we\\\'re going to continue and finish talking about \\\'A Savage Wolf, the Sacred Defense, and Some Heartless Ringleaders\\\' in this episode titled \\\'A Savage Wolf, the Sacred Defense, and Some Heartless Ringleaders II\\\'.
But who in the world was absolutely looney enough to have given \\\'A Savage Wolf\\\' the tools and means for him to use chemical weapons?
And who are \\\'Some Heartless Ringleaders\\\' and why do we call them \\\'Some Heartless Ringleaders\\\'?
What all did \\\'Some Heartless Ringleaders\\\' provide \\\'A Savage Wolf\\\' with during \\\'the Sacred Defense\\\'?
And approximately how much money was given in loans to \\\'A Savage Wolf\\\' by \\\'Some Heartless Ringleaders\\\'?
And who all was dumb enough to provide a \\\'one-way loan\\\' to \\\'A Savage Wolf\\\'?
Finally, and most especially, and very uniquely, and quite fortunately, and rather joyfully, what is the condition of \\\'A Savage Wolf\\\', and \\\'Some Heartless Ringleaders\\\', and \\\'the Sacred Defense\\\'?
Hey, we\\\'re just \\\"Keepin\\\' It Real\\\".

What was the state and condition of the world of Islam when Imam Husayn (A) rose up and entered the battlefield?
And why was it a crime for a Muslim to be a supporter and lover of the strongest pillar of Islam – Imam Ali (A)?
Besides, what was the character like of the person who had illegitimately taken over the Caliphate of the Muslims?
And what was the biggest spiritual calamity for Islam during that period?
Furthermore, how is the movement of Imam Husayn (A) still relevant in today’s day and age, and what is the Jihad of our time?
And, what is our responsibility in today’s times if we see – once again – that the pulpit of the Holy Prophet (S) is being used to spread corruption and create deviation in Islam?
Moreover, what is the true meaning of commemorating the mourning of Imam Husayn (A)?
And to conclude, what do the pages of history tell us about the end of those people who see the religion of Islam in danger and do not follow the lead of Imam Husayn (A) and stand up to defend it?
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution – Imam Sayyid Ali Khamenei – explains the conditions of the time when Imam Husayn (A) rose against injustice and sheds light on the Jihad of today and our responsibility in the current times.

Our condolences to the believers upon the martyrdom anniversary of the 8th divinely appointed Imam, Imam Ali ibn Musa al-Redha (A).
What is one of the titles by which Imam al-Redha (A) is known for?
Where does this aforementioned title appear?
What title does Imam al-Jawad (A) use when addressing the 8th divinely appointed Imam (A)?
What is the difference, if any, between the meanings of the words Ra\\\'uf and Raheem?
In what three places will Imam al-Ra\\\'uf (A) appear, in order to help his pilgrims?
Finally, what is the measure by which people will be weighed by on the Day of Judgement?
Ustad Masoud Aali answers in this beautiful ode to Imam al-Redha (A) upon his martyrdom anniversary.
\\\"How many a wish
have been fulfilled by you!\\\"
\\\"How many a sick person
has received Shifa from you!\\\"
\\\"Won’t you take a look
at those beneath your feet!\\\"
\\\"Alas, for I myself know quite well,
how inadequate I truly am.\\\"

After we have decided to have a special program in order to hasten the reappearance of the Living Imam (A), what must be an integral aspect of this program?
What relationship should the goals, desires, and wishes of the Living Imam (A) have with our said, special program?
What are two qualities that Imam al-Mahdi (A) expects from the Shias?
Is the priority to do things for the reappearance on an individual and isolated manner, or is it recommended to do so in a societal and communal manner?
Since unity is such an important and integral pillar for the reappearance of the Living Imam (A), what are some obstacles to this unity?
What are some cultural and personal obstacles to this unity required for the reappearance of the Living Imam (A)?
And finally, what\'s the relationship between \"Unity, Harmony, and Imam Mahdi (A)\"?
Sister Spade explains and answers these questions and more, based upon selections from the book, The Essence of Creation, 3rd edition.

El-Sherbini, who was nearly four months pregnant, was involved in a court case against her neighbor, Axel W., who was found guilty last November for insulting and abusing the woman, calling her a terrorist.
She was set to testify against him when he stabbed her 18 times inside a Dresden courtroom in front of her 3-year-old son.
El-Sherbini's husband came to her aid but was also stabbed by the neighbor and shot in the leg by a security guard who initially mistook him for the attacker, German prosecutors said. He is now in critical condition in a German hospital.
"The guards thought that as long as he wasn't blond, he must be the attacker so they shot him," the victim's brother told an Egyptian television station.
The 28-year-old Axel W. remains in detention and prosecutors have opened an investigation on suspicion of murder.
The incident has received little coverage in German and Western media, sparking widespread criticism by German Muslim groups as well as Egyptian journalists, who say the incident is an example of how hate crimes against Muslims are overlooked in comparison to those committed by Muslims against Westerners.
Many commentators pointed to the uproar that followed the 2004 murder of filmmaker Theo van Gogh by a Dutch-born Muslim who was infuriated by the portrayal of Muslim women in the Dutch director's film.
Nearly four million Muslims living in Dresden condemned el-Sherbini's killing, expressing concern about the consequences of such terrorist attacks against Muslims.
Steg described the killing as 'a horrible and outrageous act', saying the German government had not reacted earlier as details were hazy in the immediate aftermath of the crime.

Egypt\\\'s interim president, Adly Mansour, has issued a decree giving himself power to make laws after consulting with the new government.
The decree said that a constitutional assembly would be formed in two weeks, and a constitutional referendum would be held within four-and-a-half months.
Parliamentary elections would be held within 15 days of the constitution\\\'s approval by a referendum. Those elections must be held \\\"over a period of no more than two months.\\\" New presidential elections would be called once the new legislative chamber is in place, the decree said.
Since last week, Egypt has been the scene of rival rallies and clashes between thousands of supporters and opponents of the ousted president.
Morsi is reportedly being held \\\"preventively\\\" by the military. Senior army officials say he might face formal charges over accusations made by his opponents.
In this edition of the show we ask; is a peaceful transition of power possible or will the overthrow of the country\\\'s first democratically elected leader drag the country, which is already polarized and divided, to the brink of civil war?

A senior Afghan official says President Hamid Karzai has rejected a provision of a security pact with the United States just days before the country\'s elders gather to debate it.
Media outlets have quoted the official as saying that Karzai has rejected the enter-and-search provision. The question of whether foreign troops will be allowed to search Afghan homes after their combat mission ends next year has long been a sticking point of the Kabul-Washington deal. The final draft will be discussed by the Loya Jirga, an assembly of tribal elders, later this week. Karzai has already announced that if the Loya Jirga does not approve the deal, it will not be signed. Last month, the United States and Afghanistan hammered out a draft deal that allows thousands of U-S troops to stay in the country beyond 2014.

Afghanistan rejects the U-S demand that Kabul sign a security deal between the two countries as soon as possible.
A spokesman for Afghan President Hamid Karzai says the agreement must wait until after next year\'s presidential election, even if it\'s approved by the Loya Jirga and the parliament. This, after the White House said Karzai\'s failure to sign the Bilateral Security Agreement, or B-S-A, by the end of this year would prevent Washington and its allies from planning for post-20-14 presence in Afghanistan. On Thursday, Karzai said he was willing to delay the signing of the B-S-A until after next year\'s presidential election. However, ordinary Afghans are angry over raids by American and other foreign troops. And they\'ve held protests against the security deal with the U-S.
