A Saudi foreign policy advisor has expressed concern over a nuclear deal between Iran and the five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany.
Abdullah al-Askar says Saudi Arabia would make efforts toward building a nuclear bomb, in case the deal fails to prevent Iran from what he called nuclear weapons. So far, the Saudi government has not shown any official reaction to the deal signed between Iran and the P-five-plus-one in Geneva. However, Saudis in recent weeks have spoken out against a rapprochement between Iran and the US. Riyadh has also been pressuring Washington to maintain a tough stance on Tehran over its nuclear energy program.

Representatives from Iran and the permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany are in Geneva for another round of technical talks over Iran\'s nuclear program.
The talks come after four days of similar talks in Vienna last week. Iran walked out of the last round after the US expanded its sanctions against Tehran. The added measures came as, under a landmark deal in Geneva last month, the West had promised not to slap new sanctions. Tehran says it\'s ready to pick up the talks after the E-U foreign policy chief, Catherine Ashton assured it that the P-five-plus-one countries, specially the U-S, would continue the talks in goodwill. Meanwhile, France\'s Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius, who had previously blocked a deal under the influence of Israel, has already cast doubt on the chances of a final agreement in Geneva.

The Leader of Iran’s Islamic Revolution has urged all Iranians to be prepared to continue the fight against arrogant powers.
Speaking to a group of Iranian students, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said the fight against global arrogance cannot be called off. The Leader stressed if there is no fight against arrogance, then the people won’t be true followers of the Quran. Ayatollah Khamenei made the comments in response to a question by a student who asked if the battle against arrogant powers will stop after a nuclear deal between Iran and the P-five-plus-one. The Leader also slammed the U-S as the perfect example of arrogance. Meanwhile, Ayatollah Khamenei spoke of the situation in Yemen. He strongly criticized the U-N for its silence towards Saudi Arabia’s unrelenting war on the impoverished country. Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said he Security Council has issued only one resolution on Yemen in which it condemned those who are under the Saudi bombardment and not Riyadh, which bombards the Yemenis. Ayatollah Khamenei described it as one of the most disgraceful resolutions. The Leader added that Riyadh has been pounding Yemen for 100 days to take revenge against Iran over the country’s spiritual influence across the region. The Leader said the U-S officials and the quote-backward Arab governments admit to Iran’s wide spiritual presence in the region in their private talks.

It\'s the third day of nuclear negotiations in Geneva. Iran and the permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany have wrapped up the first round of talks over Tehran\'s nuclear energy program.
The negotiations are now adjourned for further internal consultations. Iran\'s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif heads the Iranian team and EU\'s Foreign Policy Chief Catherine Ashton represents the P-five-plus-one group of countries. They\'re trying to hammer out a draft agreement to resolve the decade-old standoff over Tehran\'s nuclear program. Iran\'s right to uranium enrichment remains one of the major sticking points in the talks. Tehran has already made it clear that any agreement which does not include the issue of enrichment is not acceptable. In an interview with Time magazine, Zarif said the Geneva nuclear deal is going to be QUOTE-dead if the US Congress imposes new sanctions, even if they do not take effect for six months. Araqchi named blacklisting some Iranian entities and pressures from the US Treasury Department on other countries as examples of that policy. According to Araqchi, comments and actions by US official have been provocative and against the spirit of cooperation, required for the implementation of the November 24 deal. The diplomat noted that Tehran has advised American officials against trying to resolve their internal problems or tensions with their allies at the expense of the Iranian nation\\\'s rights.

[19 June 2012] P5 Plus 1 must stop taking orders from Israel - English
Iran says it will seek a three-step strategy in the ongoing round of talks with the five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany (P5+1) in Moscow.
A member of the Iranian negotiating delegation, speaking on condition of anonymity, said on Monday that during the first phase of the Moscow talks, the Iranian delegation will criticize the other party for squandering chances after the negotiations in Baghdad and refusing to hold deputy-level talks. He said the P5+1 has thus dealt a blow to the talks in Moscow.
The Iranian diplomat said Tehran will also give clear and well-documented responses based on the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).
Press TV has conducted an interview with Hamid Reza Emadi, a political commentator in Tehran, to further shed light on the issue
