Poetry For Hazrat Bibi Fatima(SA) By Allama Iqbal(with english translation)
Maryam az yek nisbat-e-Eesa azeez,
As seh nisbat hazrat-e-Zahra azeez
[ Maryam is honourable only because she is the mother of Jesus,
Look at Zahra, Her honour comes from three relationships ]
Noor-e-chashm-e Rahmat-il-lil 'aalemin
Un imam-e-awwalin-o-aahirin
[She is the daughter of the person known as Rahmat al-lil aalameen.
Who is Imam of all the (prophets) in the past and all the leaders in the future. ]
Un ke jan dar payka-e-geeti dameed
Rozgaar-e-taaza aa'in aafreed
[He, who revived a dead society back to life,
And brought a new system of law ]
Baanu-e un taajdaar-e-hal ata
Murtaza mushkil kusha sher-e-xuda
[She is the wife of the one who was crowned with Hal Ata
He is the chosen one, solver of all problems, the lion of God.]
Paadshhah-o-kulba'ee aywaan-e-oo
Yek hussam-o-yek zirh saamaan-e-oo
[He was a king but lived in a hut,
All he owned was a sword and a coat of chain ]
Maadar-e-un markaz-e-parkaar-e-ishq
Maadar-e-un kaarwan saalaar-e-ishq
[Her son was the center of Love and devotion
He was the chief of the army of Love. ]
Un yeki sham'e shabistaan-e-haram
Hafiz-e-jamee'at-e khayrul-umam
[ He was a burning light in the gathering in the HARAM,
He was the protector of the best of the communities. ]
Taa nasheenad aatash-e-paykaar-o-kin
Pusht-epa zad ba sar-e-taaj-o-nagin
[He kicked the throne and the crown aside
Only because he did not want to see the fire of killing and hatred. ]
Wan digar mawlaa-e abraar-e-jahaan
Quwwat-e baazu-e-ahraar-e-jahaan
[And the other son (of hers) is the leader of the pious
He gave strength to all the revolutionaries of the world.]
Dar nawaa-e-zindagi soz az Husayn
Ahl-e-haq hurriyat amoz az Husayn
[ Husayn gives passion to the ode of humanity
The truthful people learned the lesson of freedom from Husayn. ]
Seerat-e-farzandaha az ummahaat
Jawhar-e-sidq-o-safa az ummahaat
[ The character of sons are built by their mothers
The true mettle of truthfulness and honesty come from the mothers. ]
Muzra-e-tasleem ra haasil Butool
Maadaraan ra uswa-e-kaamil Butool
[ Butool was the epitome of the devotion to Allah
For mothers she is a guiding example.]
Bahr-e-muhtaaj-e dilash un guna sooht
Ba yahoodai chaadar-e-khud ra farooht
[Her heart was so overwhelmed by the plight of the poor,
That she sold her own chadar to a Jew.]
Noori-o wa ham atashi farmanbarash
Gum razaayesh dar razaa-e shawharash
[Both angels and Jinn are in her obedience,
(Because) she was obedient to her own husband.]
Un adab parawarda-e sabr-o-raza
Aasiya gardaan-o-lab Qur'an sara
[She was raised with SABR and submission
Her lips would be reading Qur'an while her hands would be moving the hand mill.]
Girya haaye u ze baalin bai niyaaz
Gawhar afshandai badamaan-e-namaaz
[She wept for fear of Allah
She shed tears during her prayers.]
Asahk-e-oo bar cheed Jibreel az zamin
Hamchu shabnam reext bar arsh-e-barin
[ Jibreel would pick up her tears from the earth,
So that he may spread dew-drops in Jannah. ]
Rishta-e aa'een-e haq zanjeer-e-pa ast
Paas-e-farmaan-e Janaab-e Mustafa ast.
[ I am bound by the law of Islam,
I am beholden to the sayings of the Prophet. ]
Warna gird-e-turbat-ash gardeed mi
Sajdaha bar khaak-e-oo pasheed mi
[ Otherwise, I would have gone round and round her gravesite,
And I would have done sajdah on her grave. ]

Supreme Leader: Hijab Brings About Dignity for Women
12/05/2012
Ayatollah Khamenei the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution met today with a group of panegyrists. Speaking at the meeting, which was held on the occasion of Mother\'s Day, His Eminence said that hijab brings about honor and dignity for women and stressed: \"Modesty brings about respect and dignity for women in society. For this reason, Islam should be appreciated for paying attention to the issue of hijab.\"
Ayatollah Khamenei called on everybody, especially Iranian women, to follow the path of the Infallible Imams (a.s.).
The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution referred to the history of Iranian women\'s presence in different arenas since the Constitutional Movement and reiterated: \"This effective presence shows that women can be present in all arenas and fulfill their responsibilities while observing hijab. And the honorable mothers of our martyrs are clear examples in this regard.\"
Ayatollah Khamenei said that the enemies of Iran are trying to take advantage of the existing weaknesses and added that failure to observe hijab has destructive and permanent effects on society.

Penguins Fast:
Penguin is one of the sea birds that live in the cold regions.
In fact, 17 species of penguin have been identified in the entire world.
Only one of these species inhabits the North Pole territories while the remaining species are distributed widely in the Southern Hemisphere, extending along South Australia, Africa and America.
These species differ totally in their way of laying and hatching eggs.
As for those living in the Southern Hemisphere, they spend the winter there. When spring comes, they return in groups to their native land in the North Pole, covering a distance of hundreds of miles until they reach their destination and location for reproduction.
Once arriving there, they start immediately building their nests out of stone pieces. It takes roughly three weeks from the time of their arrival to have completed building these nests and reproducing.
Once the females have laid eggs, they go off seeking food in deep-sea oceans and the male penguins take on the task of brooding eggs. The male penguins have to remain in the state of fasting for two weeks until the chicks develop.
When this happens, the male penguins rush to drink some sea water and take some food.
There is another kind of penguin called "the Emperor" which does not build nests, instead they spends the winter in the North Frozen Zone where it lays its eggs. The mother lays the eggs on her own hind feet.
Sometimes, the male penguin may relieve her and they remain in a state of fasting throughout the winter season.
When spring comes, the ice melts and the eggs are incubated. When the young penguins grow up they start fasting and abstaining from food until their down falls out and their bodies are covered with feathers.
Old penguins also observe fasting for another period that is sufficient to replace their old feathers with new feathers that are more glowing and flourishing.
Once this happens they throw themselves into the sea happily as if they imitate the human beings when they wear new clothes on the coming of the Eid that comes after fasting in Ramadan.

Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, along with hundreds of thousands of people in Beirut\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s southern suburbs, in light of the insulting anti-Islam film that was produced in the U.S., stressed their unflinching readiness to sacrifice everything they own for the sake of the dignity and honor of the Holy Prophet of Islam:
\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'O Messenger of Allah,
sacrificed for you is my soul and my blood,
and my father and mother,
and my family and children,
and all my wealth,
and everything I was given by my Lord,
indeed our blood,
and our souls,
and our children,
and our lives,
are inexpensive to sacrifice,
for the sake of the dignity of the Messenger of Allah,
and the honor of the Messenger of Allah,
and God is a witness over what we say,
and the blood of our martyrs bear witness,
and the wounds of our wounded bear witness,
and our demolished homes all bear witness,
so longer as there is blood within us,
we will not be silent,
towards the insult of our Prophet,
and the voice will remain loud:
We are at your service O\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\' Messenger of Allah!.

عرض حال مصنف بحضور رحمة للعالمین
The authors memorial to Him who is a mercy to all living beings
O THOU, whose manifesting was the youth
Of strenuous life, whose bright epiphany
Told the interpretation of liefs dreams,
Earth attained honour, having held thy court,
And heaven glory, having kissed thy roof.
Thy face illumes the six-directioned world;
Turk, Tajik, Arab all thy servants are.
Whatever things have being, find in thee
True exaltation, and thy poverty
Is their abundant riches. In this world
Thou litst the lamp of life, as thou didst teach
Gods servitors a godly mastery.
Without thee, whatsoever form indwelt
This habitat of water and of clay
Was put to shame in utter bankruptcy;
Till, when thy breath drew fire from the cold dust
And Adam made of earths dead particles,
Each atom caught the skirts of sun and moon,
Suddenly conscious of its inward strength.
Since first my gaze alighted on thy face
Dearer than father and dear mother thou
Art grown to me. Thy love hath lit a flame
Within my heart; ah, let it work at ease.
For all my spirit is consumed in me,
And my sole chattel is a reed like sigh,
The lantern flickering in my ruined house.
It is not possible not to declare
This hidden grief; it is not possible
To veil the wine in the translucent cup.
But now the Muslim is estranged a new
Unto the Prophets secret; now once more
Gods sanctuary is an idols shrine;
Manat and Lat, Hubal and Uzzae/ach118
Carries an idol to his bosom clasped;
Our sheikh no Brahman is so infidel,
Seeking his somnath stands within his head.119
Arabia deserted, he is gone
With all his beings baggage, slumberous
To drowse in Persia wine- vault. Persias sleet
Has set his limbs a-shiver; his thin wine
Rune colder than his tears. As timorous
Of death as any infidel, his breast
Is hollow, empty of a living heart.
I bore him lifeless from the doctors hands
And brought him to the Prophets presence; dead
He was; I told him of the Fount of Life;
I spoke with him upon a mystery
O the Koran, a tale of the Beloved120
Of Nejd; I brought to him a perfume sweet
Pressed from the roses of Arabia.
The Candle of my music lit the throng;
I taught the people lifes enigma; still
He cried against me, These are Europes spells:
He weaves to bind us with, the psaltery
Of Europe that he strikes into our ears.
O thou, that to Busiri gavest a Cloak121
And to my fingers yielded Salmas lute,122
Grant now to him, whose thoughts are so astray
That he can no more recognize his own,
Perception of the truth, and joy therin.
Be lusterless the mirror of my heart,
Or be my words by aught but the Koran
Informed, O thou whose splendour is the dawn
Of every age and time, whose vision sees
All that is in mens breasts, rend now the veil
Of my thoughts shame; sweep clean the avenue
Of my offending thorns; choke in my breast
The narrow breath of life; thy people guard
Against the mischief of my wickedness;
Nurse not to verdure my untimely seed,
Grant me no portion of springs fecund showers,
Wither the vintage in my swelling grapes
And scatter poison in my sparkling wine;
Disgrace me on the Day of Reckoning,
Too abject to embrace thy holy feet.
But if I ever threaded on my chain
The pearl of the Korans sweet mysteries,
I to the Muslims I have spoken true,
O thou whose bounty raises the obscure
Unto significance, one prayer from thee
Is ample guerdon for my words, desert;
Plead thou to God my cause, and let my love
Be locked in the embrace of godly deeds.
Thou hast accorded me a contrite soul,
A part of holy learning; stablish me

Turk, Tajik, Arab all thy servants are.
Whatever things have being, find in thee
True exaltation, and thy poverty
Is their abundant riches. In this world
Thou litst the lamp of life, as thou didst teach
Gods servitors a godly mastery.
Without thee, whatsoever form indwelt
This habitat of water and of clay
Was put to shame in utter bankruptcy;
Till, when thy breath drew fire from the cold dust
And Adam made of earths dead particles,
Each atom caught the skirts of sun and moon,
Suddenly conscious of its inward strength.
Since first my gaze alighted on thy face
Dearer than father and dear mother thou
Art grown to me. Thy love hath lit a flame
Within my heart; ah, let it work at ease.
For all my spirit is consumed in me,
And my sole chattel is a reed like sigh,
The lantern flickering in my ruined house.
It is not possible not to declare
This hidden grief; it is not possible
To veil the wine in the translucent cup.
But now the Muslim is estranged a new
Unto the Prophets secret; now once more
Gods sanctuary is an idols shrine;
Manat and Lat, Hubal and Uzzae/ach118
Carries an idol to his bosom clasped;
Our sheikh no Brahman is so infidel,
Seeking his somnath stands within his head.119
Arabia deserted, he is gone
With all his beings baggage, slumberous
To drowse in Persia wine- vault. Persias sleet
Has set his limbs a-shiver; his thin wine
Rune colder than his tears. As timorous
Of death as any infidel, his breast
Is hollow, empty of a living heart.
I bore him lifeless from the doctors hands
And brought him to the Prophets presence; dead
He was; I told him of the Fount of Life;
I spoke with him upon a mystery
O the Koran, a tale of the Beloved120
Of Nejd; I brought to him a perfume sweet
Pressed from the roses of Arabia.
The Candle of my music lit the throng;
Against the mischief of my wickedness;
Nurse not to verdure my untimely seed,
Grant me no portion of springs fecund showers,
Wither the vintage in my swelling grapes
And scatter poison in my sparkling wine;
Disgrace me on the Day of Reckoning,
Too abject to embrace thy holy feet.
But if I ever threaded on my chain
The pearl of the Korans sweet mysteries,
I to the Muslims I have spoken true,
O thou whose bounty raises the obscure
Unto significance, one prayer from thee
Is ample guerdon for my words, desert;
Plead thou to God my cause, and let my love
Be locked in the embrace of godly deeds.
Thou hast accorded me a contrite soul,
A part of holy learning; stablish me

I have heard this story repeatedly, and you too must have heard it. Hajji Nuri also mentions it. They say that one day \\\\\\\'Ali, the Commander of the Faithful, may Peace be upon him, was delivering a sermon from the minbar. Suddenly Imam Husayn (\\\\\\\'a) said, \\\\\\\'I am thirsty, Imam \\\\\\\'Ali said, \\\\\\\'Let someone bring water for my son.\\\\\\\' The first person to get up was a little boy, Abu al-Fadl al-\\\\\\\'Abbas (\\\\\\\'a). He went out and got a jar of water from his mother. When he returned carrying the jar on his head, his head was drenched in water as it spilled from the sides. This story is narrated in its elaborate detail. Then, when the Commander of the Faithful\\\\\\\'s eyes fell on this scene, tears flowed from his eyes. He was asked why he was crying. He told them that the ordeals that this young son of his would face had come to his mind. You know the rest of the story, which serves the purpose of a point of departure for switching to the tragic scenes of Karbala\\\\\\\'. Hajji Nuri has an excellent discussion at this point. He writes, \\\\\\\"Now that you say that \\\\\\\'Ali was delivering a sermon from the minbar, you should know that \\\\\\\'Ali spoke from the minbar and delivered sermons only during the period of his caliphate. Hence, the episode must have occurred in Kufah. At that time Imam Husayn was a man of about thirty-three years.\\\\\\\" Then he remarks, \\\\\\\"Is it at all a sensible thing for a man of thirty-three years to say all of a sudden, in a formal gathering while his father is delivering a sermon, \\\\\\\'I am thirsty!\\\\\\\' \\\\\\\'I want water!\\\\\\\" If an ordinary man does such a thing, it would be considered ill-mannered of him. Moreover, Hadrat Abu al-Fadl, too, was not a child at that time but a young man of at least fifteen years.\\\\\\\" You see how they have fabricated the story! Is such a story worthy of Imam Husayn? Aside from its fictitious character, what value does it have? Does it elevate the station of Imam Husayn or does it detract from it? It is definitely detracting to the dignity of the Imam, as it ascribes a false act to the Imam and detracts from is station by bringing the Imam down to the level of a most ill-mannered person who, at a time when his father - a man like \\\\\\\'Ali - is delivering a sermon, feels thirsty and instead of waiting for the session to be over, suddenly interrupts his father\\\\\\\'s sermon to ask for water.\\\\\\\'
