Iranian Foreign Minister Mohamad Javad Zarif has advised the US against imposing new sanctions against Tehran. In an interview with Time magazine, Zarif said the Geneva nuclear deal is going to be QUOTE-dead if the US Congress imposes new sanctions, even if they do not take effect for six months. Two US senators are preparing legislation to impose new sanctions on Iran in six months if the deal goes nowhere. These sanctions would target Iran\'s oil exports, foreign exchange reserves, and industry. The senators are making the move despite the Geneva deal between Tehran and the P-five-plus-one group of countries, which includes the U-S. Robert Levinson vanished during a visit to Kish island in March 2007. The US government said he was on a business trip when he disappeared. But the findings of the AP investigation show the CIA sent Levinson to Iran on a spying mission and later paid his family 2.5 million dollars to head off a revealing lawsuit. Tehran has repeatedly said it has no information about the whereabouts of Levinson but is ready to help locate him on humanitarian grounds.

Araqchi said that Iran will continue nuclear talks with the P-five-plus-one group of countries with goodwill despite the fact that American officials have adopted a contradictory stance since the Geneva deal. Araqchi named blacklisting some Iranian entities and pressures from the US Treasury Department on other countries as examples of that policy. Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Marzieh Afkham has said that the resolution is only a first step toward ending terrorism and that a collective effort by all countries is needed to achieve that. She warned against employing double standards in implementing the UN resolution. Afkham said that if the world fails to deal with terrorism properly and allows a discriminatory approach, all attempts would fail and more countries would fall victim to violence. Afkham said that Iran is ready to take practical steps at the regional and international levels to help tackle terrorism. Pierre Mosco-vici said the visit is QUOTE a bet on the future and not about doing business as usual. His comments came in response to the US Secretary of State\'s recent complaint. Only days ago, John Kerry said the French delegation\'s visit to Iran was not helpful in sending the message to Tehran that it\'s not business as usual. His remarks came after a one-hundred- sixteen member French delegation traveled to Iran for commercial opportunities. Among the group are multi-national companies such as Total, Lafarge and Peugeot. Iran strongly condemns remarks by Bahraini foreign minister that Tehran is interfering in the Arab kingdom\'s internal affairs.
Iran\'s foreign ministry summoned the Bahraini charge d\'affaires in Tehran to protest the comments by Sheikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa. Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Marzieh Afkham said such remarks show the Manama officials\' confusion regarding the legal demands of the oppressed people of Bahrain. She also urged the small Persian Gulf state not to get support from foreign forces in suppressing anti-regime protests. Pro-democracy protesters have been holding rallies in Bahrain since 2011, calling for the Al Khalifa family to relinquish power. Scores of people have been killed and thousands arrested ever since.
