The Israeli spy agency Mossad may have used intelligence provided by an Arab country to carry out assassinations in the region.
Israeli sources confirmed on Monday that Mossad chief Meir Dagan's reliance on cooperation with an Arab country was the reason behind the successful completion of Israeli operations in various countries, IRNA reported.
The Arab country does not have diplomatic relations with Israel, the sources added.
Among the operations attributed to the Israeli regime is the assassination of the Lebanese Hezbollah movement's top commander Imad Mughniyah and Syrian army officer Brigadier-General Mohammed Suleiman.
Israel is also accused of carrying out the recent bombings in Syria and Lebanon.
Lebanon's Al-Manar TV station reported on Monday that Saudi Arabia was the country that provided the intelligence to Mossad, suggesting that Saudi Secretary General of the National Security Council Prince Bandar bin Sultan played a role in the cooperation between the intelligence agencies.

Presstv - English Documentary on Arrival of Imam Khomeini
Dr. James B Thring, Secretary of London-based NGO, Ministry of Peace, who has come to Iran to take part in anniversary of Imam Khomeini\'s departure, said Imam Khomeini aroused admiration of those seeking justice for Palestine when he spoke against dependence of Shah\'s regime on foreign powers supporting Israel.
He said that Imam Khomeini is admired for presenting revolutionary objectives through diplomatic, humanitarian and noble messages.
\"He set a fine example to the rest of the world of how to improve people\'s welfare with minimum disruption.\"
The British peace activist told IRNA reporter that the US and Israeli demands for criminal immunity worldwide are another affront to the global community.
\"Their crimes against humanity and war crimes in Palestine, Afghanistan, Iraq and many other parts of the world are the worst of modern times.\"
He said that Imam Khomeini deserves even greater admiration than accorded to him outside Iran, because his perceptive criticism of Israel and the Zionist lobby were not broadcast widely.
\"He foresaw the destruction of not only Palestine, but the Arab states generally, well before the devastation of Iraq.\"
Dr. Thring said that he is lobbying to mull legal action by the United Nations against the Israeli and US leaders for the crimes against humanity they perpetrated in Palestine and Iraq.
Abdullah al-Hassan made the remarks on the threshold of the 20th anniversary of the demise of Imam Khomeini.
He contended that the thoughts of that politico-religious leader were based on Islamic unity.
The ideas prompted the Ummah to withstand US and Israeli plots to divide the Ummah into conflicting groups, he said.
He always supported the oppressed people in the world and encouraged them to confront arrogant powers, the Syrian thinker said.
Imam Khomeini initiated Qods Day to bring the Muslims together on the Palestine issue, he concluded.

West, israel linked to SE Iran blasts - 16 July 2010 - English

A ranking official with the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has implicated "the US, Israel and some European countries" in the deadly blasts in the southeastern Iranian city of Zahedan.
Yadollah Javani, the head of IRGC's political bureau, said late Thursday that the latest terrorist attack in the southeastern province of Sistan-Baluchestan points to the involvement of terrorist groups under the auspices of the United States, Israel and some Western countries, which seek sectarian division, Fars news agency reported.
Two explosions in the front of Zahedan's Grand Mosque on Thursday left more than 20 martyrs and over 100 injured.
The first explosion occurred at 9:20 p.m. local time (1650 GMT) in front of the city's Grand Mosque, and was followed by a second blast within minutes.
"The enemy seeks out division between Shia and Sunni Muslims in order to create chaos in the country," Javani noted.
"One could not doubt the involvement of secret foreign services in the efforts to generate tension amongst Muslims," he further explained.
The Iranian official also noted that confessions made by Abdolmalek Rigi, the Pakistan-based Jundallah terrorist group's ringleader, before his execution last month, unveiled widespread US support for waging an insurgency against the Islamic Republic.
"Rigi's confessions prove that the US, Zionists and some European countries are directly linked with the Zahedan blasts, because he had confessed that the US wants bomb attacks to be carried out across Iran," he said.
After Rigi's execution, Jundallah was effectively disbanded and experts say that the group is highly unlikely to have carried out the latest blasts.
It is widely believed that hard-line Wahabis and Salafis trained by the CIA in Pakistan are the main elements behind the bombings.

The death toll from the twin bomb blasts in the southeastern Iranian city of Zahedan has reached 27 while more than ten times as many have been injured.
The late July 15 blasts hit outside the city's Grand Mosque, leaving widespread devastations in its trail, IRNA reported on Friday.
The two explosions that took place in front of the mosque on also ripped through nearby shops.
The first explosion occurred at 9:20 p.m. local time (1650 GMT) and was followed by a second blast within minutes, local officials said Thursday.
Emergency efforts are underway to help those injured.

Sanctions prelude to extinction of dollar
Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad insists that the anti-Iran sanctions will serve as a stepping stone to eradicate the domination of the US dollar in world markets.
Ahmadinejad said the countries that followed the US campaign for anti-Iran sanctions have deprived themselves of the opportunity to participate in Iranian economic projects, IRNA reported on Sunday.
Addressing a ceremony marking the international week of mosques, the Iranian president stressed that Iran would use Western sanctions to move towards developing the country's domestic manufacturing and globalizing Iranian-made products.
Ahmadinejad said the US-led sanctions was a form of a psychological warfare intended to force the Iranian nation into compromise, adding, "This nation will never compromise when it comes to its independence, integrity, principles and justice-seeking."
"If sanctions were to have any impact on Iran, it would not be during the tenure of [US President Barack] Obama."
Ahmadinejad went on to say that the only impact sanctions will have on the Iranian economy is that "they will help its flourishing."
The president said by adopting anti-Iran measures, the West has further discredited itself.

Senior cleric Ayatollah Mohammad Emami Kashani welcomes the Iranian president\\\'s UN address in which he called for an independent probe into the 9/11 incident.
Tehran\\\'s interim Friday Prayers leader questioned the angry response of members of Washington\\\'s delegate, who left the UN General Assembly session, to a call that \\\"many in the world have welcomed.\\\"
\\\"Iran\\\'s argument means that your word should not be the only one dominating the world because the international community and even the American people no longer buy these words,\\\" he was quoted by IRNA as saying.
In his September 22 speech at the UN General Assembly in New York, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad raised doubts about the credibility of Washington\\\'s account of the source and nature of the attacks indicating that a \\\"very powerful and complex terrorist group, able to successfully cross all layers of the American intelligence and security, carried out the attack.\\\"
Ahmadinejad said despite the cited claim many throughout the world believe that \\\"some segments within the US government orchestrated the attack to reverse the declining American economy and its grips on the Middle East in order also to save the Zionist regime [of Israel].\\\"
\\\"Nations welcome a probe into this incident, but you accused others with [your] incoherent talk and blamed them for the attacks and massacred and violated the innocent people of Afghanistan,\\\" Ayatollah Emami Kashani said, addressing the US government.
\\\"Considering what you have done, no one trusts you anymore; you have numerous prisons in which you torture detainees,\\\" the cleric charged.
Ayatollah Emami Kashani further downplayed Western sanctions against Iran, saying such measures could not shake the Iranian people and government and will yield no result other than the \\\"awakening of the Iranian nation and elites.\\\"
The prominent cleric attributed the recent announcement of Iran\\\'s self-sufficiency in gasoline production and the progress achieved in the field of nanotechnology to a scientific movement triggered by sanctions.

He underscored the importance of exchanging information among the elite and public opinion as the way to resolve the issue of terrorism, IRNA reported.
“Fight against terrorism will bear fruit only through respecting religions, culture and destiny of human beings,” the GAATJP secretary pointed out.
Ameri conveyed the message of peace and friendship of the Iranian nation to the world and expressed hope that the conference would draw a new plan for fighting terrorism.
The two-day International Conference on Global Alliance against Terrorism for a Just Peace kicked off in the Iranian capital, Tehran, on Saturday with over 100 foreign and 300 local experts attending the summit.

The Iranian Intelligence Ministry says a dismantled espionage ring affiliated to the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) had not achieved its goals in Iran.
Heidar Moslehi told Press TV on Sunday that the ministry managed to bust the CIA espionage network with the cooperation of the Iranian people, IRNA reported.
He said that the ministry's proper planning prevented the spy network to achieve its goals, adding, “The most important outcome of our operation was that the United States did not accomplish its objectives in the Islamic Republic.”
The Islamic Republic announced on Saturday that 30 individual have been arrested on charges of sabotage and spying for the US and 42 CIA operatives were identified in connection with the network.
The Iranian intelligence minister stated that the spy-ring was directly taking orders from the CIA, saying that it was headed and operated by top field agents working for the US spy agency.
According to a statement issued by Iran's Intelligence Ministry on Saturday, the network, which was set up by a considerable number of seasoned CIA operatives in several countries, attempted to trick citizens into spying for them under the guise of issuing visa, helping with permanent residency, and making job and study offers.
The CIA operatives had gathered information from "universities and scientific research centers, and in the field of nuclear energy, aerospace, defense and biotechnology industries," part of the statement read.
The spies had also gathered detailed information about the "oil and gas pipelines, telecommunication and electricity networks, airports and customs, the security of the banking and communication systems," by using "US embassies and consulates in several countries particularly "the United Arab Emirates, Turkey and Malaysia."

The Islamic Republic of Iran successfully launches its second satellite christened Rassad (Observation) into the earth's orbit.
The satellite, which is the country's first such imaging device, was launched by the Safir-e-Rassad satellite carrier on Wednesday thanks to Iranian aerospace scientists and experts' endeavor, IRNA reported.
Despite its 15.3-kilogram weight, which puts it under the category of the micro-satellites, Rassad has all features of a big satellite.
It has undergone all the stages required for its designing, manufacturing, assembly, test and preparation for launch inside the country.
It will orbit the earth at an altitude of 260 kilometers 15 times every 24 hours.
Its mission is to take images of the earth's surface and relay them to the earth-based stations together with telemetric information.
The satellite is equipped with solar panels and uses solar energy to work.
Iran launched its first domestically-produced satellite Omid (Hope) in 2009, which made it the ninth country to develop satellite launch capability.
Tehran also plans to launch the country's first manned mission to space by 2019.

Imam Musa Sadr
A member of Lebanese Amal Movement has described the abduction of Lebanon\'s Shia cleric Imam Moussa al-Sadr as a deliberate ploy by the United States and international Zionism.
Khalil Hamdan, who headed a delegation representing the Amal Movement, told reporters in the Iranian capital of Tehran that the US and \'Zionists\' used Libya\'s fugitive ruler Muammar Gaddafi to implement the ploy in order to undermine the Lebanese movement, IRNA reported on Monday.
Sadr, the founder of Lebanon\'s Amal Movement, was a popular and highly revered Lebanese Shia cleric of Iranian descent that disappeared on August 31, 1978 while visiting Libya.
Hamdan further made reference to Sadr\'s endeavors to illuminate and spread the values of the Islamic Revolution and noted that Imam Moussa had elaborated on the point in his last article before his abduction.
Accompanied by two of his companions, Mohammed Yaqoub and Abbas Badreddin, Sadr was scheduled to meet with officials from the then government of Gaddafi.
At the time, Libyan authorities claimed that the Iranian-born influential cleric and his associates had boarded a flight to Rome, Italy. However, Italian officials said the three men were never found on the plane.
Born in the Iranian city of Qom, Sadr went to Lebanon in 1959 to work for the civil rights of Shias in the southern city of Tyre. In 1974, a year before Lebanon\'s 15-year civil war broke out, he founded the Movement of the Deprived, attracting thousands of followers.
In 1975, Sadr founded Amal, the first major resistance and political force for Lebanon\'s Shias, who were historically under the rule of Christians and Sunnis.
Most of Sadr\'s followers are convinced that Gaddafi ordered his assassination in a dispute over Libyan payments to Lebanese groups, but the Imam\'s family argues he could still be alive in a Libyan jail.
In 2008, the Lebanese government issued an arrest warrant for Gaddafi over Sadr\'s disappearance.
Lebanon has recognized Libya\'s Transitional National Council (TNC), saying it would work with \"emerging authorities\" in the North African country to uncover the fate of the missing cleric.

Movie “Muhammad (PBUH)” aimed at introducing accurate image of Islam
Speaking at a press conference on Monday, Majidi said the idea of making the film occurred to him some 8 years ago when an honoring ceremony was planned to be organized for him in Denmark.
He said it came after some Danish press published desecrating cartoons of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
“I thought to myself how can they hold an honoring ceremony for me in a country where my beliefs and sanctities are insulted. … so, in a letter I said I could not attend the ceremony (in a country) where my holiest sanctities are desecrated.
