Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei said on Saturday that any moves that might satisfy the enemies or disappoint friends should be avoided.
Islamic Revolution Leader made the remark in a meeting with members of the High Council of Mayors, on Saturday.
Ayatollah Khamenei lauded the grave responsibilities of Islamic councils in urban and rural areas and said the will of God is with the convergence of people in handling the affairs.
Relying on and respecting the ideas of people is a source of pride for the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Khamenei said.
"Guardian Council is the only reliable body to interpret Islamic law," Islamic Revolution Leader said while defining the duties of the Islamic city and village councils.
Underlining the significant role of city and village councils, the Islamic Revolution Leader said these councils are accountable to people irrespective of geographical or cultural differences.
"Under the blessing of Islam, we have maintained our Iranian identity and this should be demonstrated by rendering services to people in both urban and rural areas," Ayatollah Khamenei said.
"Any disharmony or negative competition would be harmful to the country," Ayatollah Khamenei said.

Ramadan is the ninth lunar month in the Islamic calendar. Muslims all over the world fast during this month from the beginning of dawn to sunset. During fasting, Muslims refrain from eating and drinking as commanded by God in His Book, the Holy Quran, which says:
O you who believe, fasting is decreed for you, as it was decreed for those before you, that you may attain salvation. (2:183)
A lunar month is the time it takes for the moon to orbit the earth - which is approximately 29.5 days. Therefore, the number of fasting days during Ramadan may sometimes be 29 days, and other times 30 days.
But Ramadan is more than just about moon sighting and fasting.
Ramadan is also the month during which the Holy Quran was revealed to Prophet Mohammad (Peace Be Upon Him). Special prayers are also held. The entire Quran is recited. It's an opportunity for Muslims to get closer to God. A month when a Muslim should try to:
See not what displeases Allah
Speak no evil
Hear no evil
Do no evil
Look to Allah with fear and hope
At sunset, the family will gather for the fast-breaking meal known as Iftar. This is a time of fellowship with families, friends and communities, but may also occupy larger spaces at mosques, where a hundred or more gather at a time.

UK authorities have sought to deport him but Salah has challenged both his arrest and pending deportation. He's currently appealing his deportation before an immigration and asylum tribunal in Birmingham. Separately, the High Court in London ruled last week that part of Salah's dention in June was unlawful. People remember what happened in Karbala as they did hundreds of years ago. Around 680 A.D, Grandson of Islam's prophet and Shia's third Imam, Hussein Ibn-Ali, may peace be upon him, was invited by the people of Kufa to come to them as their Imam. Imam Hossein in a group of seventy two people consisting of his family, friends and supporters were attacked and martyred by Yazid the first, the Omayyad Caliph's, army made of thousands of soldiers. Yazid attacked him because Imam Hossein refused to recognize him as a Caliph. One of the tools that has helped us remember this event is Tazieh, a play that tries to recreates what Yazid did to Imam Hossein and his followers in Ashura. Today the whole world knows about it since UNESCO recognized it as national Iranian art last year.
The event is just more than a condolence theatre for the artists. It is very personal.
Other people had different reasons for coming to see the event.
Taazieh is a Shia-Iranian event that is aimed to revive the memory of Imam Hossein and his followers being slain by Yazid I on Ashura, tenth of Moharam.

Molana Aqeel ul Gharavi on Islam and Terrorism - Urdu
On that account: We ordained for the Children of Israel that if any one slew a person - unless it be for murder or for spreading mischief in the land - it would be as if he slew the whole people:...
On that account: We ordained for the Children of Israel that if any one slew a person - unless it be for murder or for spreading mischief in the land - it would be as if he slew the whole people: and if any one saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of the whole people. Then although there came to them Our messengers with clear signs, yet, even after that, many of them continued to commit excesses in the land. (The Holy Quran 5:32)
Murder of an individual has been compared to "killing all humanity", in order to lay emphasis on the establishment of peace and harmony on the earth.
Keeping this verse and the preceding verse in view the conduct of the so-called followers of the Holy Prophet has to be condemned and cursed, who, immediately after his departure from this world, raided the house of Ali and Fatimah's and set it on fire; and afterwards killed Imam Hasan, and murdered Imam Husayn together with other members of the holy house and their friends and followers, and put to death all the holy Imams in the progeny of the Holy Prophet till the last Imam Muhammad al Mahdi had to go from among them by the command of Allah. Besides this the followers of the holy Imams had been persecuted and murdered by the khalifatul muslimin and their agents in every age, and still the persecution and killing continue.
In the time of the first caliph, Khalid bin Walid killed Malik ibn Nuwayra, raped his wife, and murdered all the men, women and children of his tribe in one single night and burned their bodies to cook food for his army. To ridicule the divine declaration in these verses all these atrocities were described as the result of khata al ijtihadi (error of judgement) so as to set the pattern which despot after despot followed to annihilate the descendants of the Holy Prophet and their followers.

550 Palestinians were released from Israeli prisons on Sunday evening in the second and final phase of a prisoner swap deal between Hamas and Israel where 1,027 Palestinian prisoners were released by Israel
in exchange for captured Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit.
The freed prisoners were received by thousands of cheering family members and friends gathered in Ramallah to receive them. Out of the 550 freed prisoners, two are from Jerusalem al-Quds, 506 are from other parts of the West Bank, 40 from Gaza, and 2 are Jordanian. Also, Israel released 55 out of the 164 under-the-age-of-18-years-old Palestinian prisoners and 6 out of the 11 female prisoners.
Before the release of the prisoners, confrontations broke out between anticipating Palestinian youth and the Israeli occupation forces in front of the Israeli Ofar prison, where the West bank prisoners were released from. 25 Palestinians and 1 Israeli soldier were wounded.
400 out of the 550 prisoners released on Sunday have finished two-thirds of their sentences.
Since the first phase of the prisoner exchange, Israel has detained approximately the same number of Palestinians that it freed 2 months ago. Now The Palestinians have concerns that Israel will replace the
550 prisoners freed today with the same number of Palestinians in their prisons within the next few months.

KARACHI: A protesting sit-in outside Sindh Governor House, staged by Pasban-e-Jafriya against the killing of their key leader Askari Raza, has at last come to an end after the authorities assured their demands would be met. Meanwhile, the agitators have left for Wadi-e-Hussain graveyard for burial of the deceased, reports SAMAA on late Sunday.
According to details, the protesting sit-in, outside Sindh Governor House jointly staged by several Shiite organizations, lasted for no less than 10 hours against the killing of a key leader, Askari Raza and against the police.
During the sit-in, a large number of protestors including women, children, elderly men and youth were sitting on the road of Governor House located in the heart of the city, defying the roughness of chilly weather. It was a peaceful sit-in which continued for several hours without any eventuality.
Later, the authorities assured the demonstrators that their demands would be met which prompted the attendees to offer funeral prayer of deceased Raza outside Governor House. The dead body has been moved to Wadi-e-Hussain graveyard for burial.
Earlier in the day, the central leader of Pasban-e-Jafriya, Askari Raza was shot dead amid an assassination attack in Gulshan-e-Iqbal locality, leaving deceaseds friends critically injured on the spot. The assailants were riding motorcycle when they opened indiscriminate fire at the car of PJs leader.
The assassination triggered violence and panic in the metropolis since Saturday evening which turned out to be a massive protest gathering in front of Governor House by the end of the day.
Earlier, the heirs of Askari Raza announced to offer funeral prayer on Sunday but later a large number of Shiite protestors rallied to stage protest at Shahra-e-Pakistan, demanding registration of FIR against the culprits and also asking for nominating SSP CID Aslam Chaudhry in the FIR, because police had refused to do so.
Subsequently, the protestors marched up to Governor House from Ancholi as the night falls and staged there a 10-hour long protest.
Seeing the number of demonstrators rise, a six-member committee was summoned in Governor House for dialogue. Following the successful talks, Sindh Governor Ebad and Faisal Raza Abdi, Advisor to the President, assured the committee that the killers would be booked soon.
On the occasion, Ebad assured that the judicial inquiry would be initiated into the slaying, accepting the demand of case registration against SSP CID Chaudhry Aslam and Orangzaib Farooqi. Moreover, the lawsuit was registered with Gulshan-e-Iqbal police station upon the complaint of Dr. Samar Abbas and the brother of deceased Raza.
Consequently, the protestors scattered, concluding the sit-in at 6am on Monday after viewing the copies of FIR. SAMAA

A small group of Ahle Sunnat wal Jamaat, previously known as banned Sipah Sahaba chanted hate slogans against Shia Muslims to destroy Muslim (Shia-Sunni) Unity. Mainstream Sunni school of thought does not embrace the people of this ideology. And therefore Sunni Muslims are martyred every other day too.
This group gathered in front of Parliament House where Muslims are demanding security arrangements from the Government for innocent Muslims across Pakistan.
The original sit-in is staged by MWM after the incident of Chillas, Gilgit when around 200 innocent were cruelly massacred by the friends of this small violent group. The innocents were martyred only because they were Shia Muslims.
