Aid workers say so far only eight have survived and dozens more are missing. They were among at least 70 Rohingyas including women, children and babies who were on board the boat that left Myanmar for Bangladesh. The United Nation is warning about several reports of boat drowning off the coasts of Myanmar. According to the UN human rights commission, at least 15-hundred people left their homes in the restive Rakhine state last week alone. Myanmar has been plagued by sectarian tensions for years. Buddhists\' violence against Rohingya\'s community has left hundreds of Muslims dead in addition to over 250-thousand people displaced.

In the worst attack, a double car bombing killed at least 24 Karbala pilgrims and wounded 52 others. Meanwhile, a sticky bomb explosion in Baghdad killed at east 17 people and injured 43 others. In Mosul, militants gunned down 12 people on a bus. Explosions also targeted the city of Tikrit, northwest of Baghdad. Violence in Iraq has risen drastically in recent months. Monday\'s bombings were the latest episode in a wave of violence that has roiled Iraq since the beginning of the year.

A new report says nearly eleven thousand militants from over seventy countries have teamed up with al-Qaeda-linked insurgents to fight the Syrian government. According to the International Center for the Study of Radicalization, the figure includes those currently on the ground plus the ones have since returned home, or been arrested or killed. The report shows that Arabs and Europeans, mainly from Britain and France, make up the bulk of foreign militants, with eighty percent. Meanwhile, the British media have released a footage of a brigade of fighters in Syria who are all British.
