His comment comes as the US has recently finalized a 30-billion-dollar deal with Saudi Arabia as part of a 60-billion-dollar contract, first unveiled in October 2010. The US has also signed a deal to sell about USD 3.5 billion worth of arms to the United Arab Emirates. “The sales of such high technology to unstable regimes in the Middle East region such as Saudi Arabia or United Arab Emirates, is something that is going to backfire on the United States,” said Nader Mokhtari political commentator and journalist. “You have to take into account that these countries are not run via political operatives like other countries,” the Tehran-based analyst said, adding that they are run 'like family-run businesses.' The US has demonstrated support for popular uprisings in the Middle East while at the same time propping up their authoritarian regimes by selling them billions of dollars worth of various types of weaponry. In its Yearbook 2010, the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) stated that the US accounts for 43 percent of world military spending and 30 percent of global arms exports, making it the world's leader in both categories. US arms sales to the Persian Gulf countries has reached USD 123 billion, with a USD 67.8 billion package for Saudi Arabia, USD 35.6 billion for the United Arab Emirates, USD 12.3 billion for Oman and USD 7.1 billion for Kuwait.

Sahl Chorasani war ein Zeitgenosse Imam Sadiqs (a.) und Anführer eine Reiterschaft. Er kam aus Chorasan und stellte sich Imam Sadiqs (a.) mit seinen Reitertruppen zur Verfügung. Er forderte ihn zum bewaffneten Widerstand gegen die unrechtmäßigen Herrscher auf. Sahl Chorasani sprach zu Imam Sadiq (a.): \"Warum erhebst du dich nicht gegen die Usurpatoren, um dein Recht zur Führung zu erkämpfen, wenn doch allein in Chorasan an die Tausend bereit sind, dich mit ihren Schwertern zu verteidigen?\" Imam Sadiq (a.) befahl, den Ofen anzuzünden und sagte: \"Oh Chorasani, steh auf und steige in den Ofen!\" Chorasani entgegnete: \"Oh Sohn des Propheten! Übergib mich doch nicht den Qualen des Feuers, und vergib mir meinen Fehler!\" Imam Sadiq (a.) sagte daraufhin: \"Ich habe dir vergeben!\". In diesem Augenblick trat ein wahrer Anhänger des Imam, namens Harun Madschi, mit den Schuhen in der Hand ein. Der Imam (a.) befahl ihm, die Schuhe stehen zu lassen und in den Ofen zu steigen. Ohne Wort legte Harun seine Schuhe weg und stieg in den Ofen. Der Imam unterhielt sich mit Sahl und erklärte die Gegebenheiten in Chorasan, als wäre er Jahre lang dort gewesen, dann sagte er zu ihm: \"Steh auf und schau in den Ofen!\" Chorasani stand auf und sah Harun Madschi darin sitzen, ganz behaglich und ohne dass das Feuer ihn bedrängte. Harun kam heraus aus dem Ofen, und der Imam fragte Sahl: \"Wie viele in Chorasan sind diesem gleich?\" Sahl antwortete: \"Bei Allah, nicht ein einziger!\" Imam Sadiq (a.) entgegnete: \"Wir wissen sehr wohl, wann es Zeit ist, sich zu erheben und Widerstand zu leisten. Exports to the EU in the first four months of 2013 were down 7.4 percent compared to the same period in 2012. Exports to the United Kingdom were the lowest since May 2009, while those to China declined 4.7 percent. Imports from China surged 21.2 percent, lifting the contentious US trade deficit with China to $24.1 billion from $17.9 billion in March. China keeps investing in its future, creating jobs, building infrastructure, funding education and technology and its GDP soars. And America keeps sliding into a no-growth economy, to 1% GDP growth in a generation. According to Robert Fogel, the director of the Center for Population Economics at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and winner of the 1993 Nobel Memorial Prize in Economics; \"In 2040, the Chinese economy will reach $123 trillion, or nearly three times the economic output of the entire globe in 2000. China\'s per-capita income will hit $85,000, more than double the forecast for the European Union, and also much higher than that of India and Japan as China moves \"from a poor country in 2000 to a superrich country in 2040.\" America\'s per-capita wealth may be higher, says Fogel, but \"China\'s share of global GDP - 40% - will dwarf that of the United States (14%) and the European Union (5%) 30 years from now.\" China has been one of the fastest growing markets for US goods, and exports to that country were up 4.8 percent for the first four months of 2013.
