A report on the Sit In after Shaheed Askari Raza's martyrdom. Shaheed Askari Raza was the President of Shia Lawyer's Forum and an active Shiite who worked day and night for the welfare of community. He was shot martyred in Gulshan e Iqbal, Karachi at 31 December 2011. After the refusal of FIR registration, Shia Clerics, friends, family members, colleagues and attendant azadars decided to go for a Sit In at 01-01-2012, until the demand is accepted. This report includes highlights of the entire Sit In (the peaceful demonstration that was eventually successful). Blessings of Martyr's blood were evident from the nation's unity. Ahley Sunnat Brothers also played their part in the procession. A Sunni brother took Askari Raza to Patel Hospital after he was shot. Additionally, Sunni Brothers opened their mosque for the protestors to drink water and use its toilet facility. Recall the memorable 'awakening night' and salute our beloved martyr Shaheed Askari Raza.

[01 June 2012] Intl. probe into Houla, more persuasive - English Leader of Russia's Communist Party says the recent massacre in the Syrian village, Houla, which killed over 100 people, is an intelligence plot concocted by the Western politicians. Gennady Zyuganov noted that some Western politicians and media outlets have created a hysteria on the massacre which took place in the western village of Houla on May 25. The Russian politician strongly condemned what he considered as "a blatant provocation" in Syria and asked for an international probe into the crime, which he believed would sooner or later turn out to be related to the Western intelligence, like what happened in Yugoslavia, Libya, and Afghanistan.
