A noha about the tragedy of Ashura in Karbala
Noha Lyrics:
Fatema you have given all of your family for Allah
There is your son standing alone, calling for help to Allah
1
Where is the flag-bearer of Islam, to support him ya Allah?
Where is Akber to comfort him, the reminder of Rasullulah?
Where is Asghar with such parched lips, he was so thirsty, Ya Allah?
2
Your backbone Abbas, he loved his niece Ruqayya, your daughter
He offered his arms and his right eye, just to fetch her water
An empty mashk, a fallen flag, the moon of Hashemites, slaughtered
3
Hazrat Akber, like the Prophet in his looks and soul
He tasted death but to Allah was his ultimate goal
Standing for truth, his sacrifice, sweeter than honey ya Allah
4
Baby Asghar, he was so thirsty but he still answered the call,
On the desert plain, slain heartlessly, just six months, so small
Neither the sky nor the sacred land, would accept his blood, Ya Allah
5
A broken back, a blood-stained beard, where can he turn now Allah?
This is the son, of the Prophet\'s daughter, Lady Zahra,
When he is gone what will happen to Zainab, Ya Allah?
6
Zuljanah must carry Imaam to the battlefield, to fight,
But he won\'t leave, Ruqayya is clinging to his legs, so tight,
She is pleading, father don\'t go, just imagine Husayn\'s plight
7
Shaame Gharibaa, the tents alight no rest for the kafela,
A young girl whose ears are bleeding, searches, oh father
Asleep at last, on a headless chest, Zainab discovers Ruqayya
8
Answer me this, Ya Imaam-e-Zamaan when will you come to avenge them all
With tears of blood, we await you to come and relieve us all
This tragedy, it weighs so deep, give us patience Ya Allah

Around the world Shia Muslims are commemorating Arbaeen: the 40th day since the martyrdom anniversary of the grandson of Prophet Mohammad and the third Shia Imam.
Millions of people from across the globe have gathered in the holy Iraqi city of Karbala, the resting place of Imam Hussein. Officials estimate that some 15 million pilgrims are attending the ceremonies despite deadly violence by extremist groups. Dozens of pilgrims have been killed in recent days in terrorist attacks despite tight security measures across Iraq. Similar ceremonies are held in other Muslim countries including Iran, Lebanon and Pakistan. Imam Hussein and 72 of his companions were martyred in the Battle of Karbala in the seventh century.

Abu Bakr Saddique was raised by a woman known around the city of Buffalo, NY as a champion of human rights and a helper of the poor. In his neighborhood of mostly Italian-American immigrants, Saddique says there was one incident that stood out for him in particular.
“I was out front playing. We were in the projects – only black family on the street. And I saw this lady. She was a white lady. She was walking down the street and she was going from apartment to apartment – and we lived in a row house. People were slamming the door in her face. She got to our house, and my mother opened up the door and invited her in. So I’m out playing, everything is tight. We’re on welfare. I go into the house and there was this woman sitting down there – eating. I said, ‘woah, what is this? Man, she’s eating up our food.’ You know? And my mother, it was like she didn’t care. She said, ‘she needed to eat’. She gave her food and she gave her some money. Yes. That’s how she was. And she said, ‘always be kind to strangers’”.
Saddique was six and the year was 1953. He says his mother’s character and behavior in situations like this prepared the ground for his eventual conversion to Islam. Saddique first learned about the religion in fourth grade.
“There was Niagara Street Library. I got a book on the Crusades about Richard the Lionheart. That peaked my interest in Islam because they couldn’t say anything about Salahuddin Ayyubi not being good. I saw Muslims in the 50s – some NOI (Nation of Islam), some orthodox. Malcolm X also used to come to Buffalo a lot in the 50s and 60s”.
It wasn’t until 1973, when Saddique was training at an Army base in Texas, that his interest in Islam began to take shape.

Seminar held in at Bhojani hall Karachi on 17th October 2011
HIGHLIGHTS:
TODAY: Islam (Islame Naab e Muhammadi) VS Imperialism (in the cloak of "Democracy")
TODAY: Exportation of Islamic Revolution VS Exportation of Democracy.
Listen around 48 minutes. What is the difference between a "Rahber" and a "Analyst".
"Mujtahideen e Imperialism" are struggling to export Imperialism (in the cloak of "Democracy") throughout the world. "Mujtahideen e Islam" must practically struggle to export Islamic Revolution throughout the world.
Purpose of Islamic Awakening Conference by Islamic Republic was to make these movements throughout Middle East: (1) Islamic (2) Public (Awami: Not controlled by fake leaders) (3) Global (Alami: Not isolated and regional)
Summay of Rahber's speech: (1) Give direction to these movements. (2) Identify threats to these movements. (3) How to protect these movements from these threats.
Expansion of Point (1) below, i.e. DIRECTION. (a) People from all walks of life should get involved, i.e. workers, farmers, working professionals etc. (b) Define transparent and clear goals. (c) Give ideologically clear slogans. (d) Recognize your enemy. (e) Future roadmap should be clearly communicated to all the involved.
(f) Be careful of the dignitaries and prominent figures in these movements. (g) Be vigilant of the infiltrators. (h) Stay optimistic, persistent, don't get tired. (i) Demands must be crafted carefully (e.g. not for jobs & salaries). (j) Be ready for sacrifice. (k) Public and public leaders create their own guideline for these movements based on Islam.
(l) First and foremost goal of these movements should be to revive the lost dignity of Muslims and Islam. Second, continue till pure Islamic system is not installed in your areas. Third, resistance against America. Forth, hatred of israel. Fifth, unity amongst Muslims and other countries.
Expansion of Point (2) below, i.e. THREATS. (a) Internal Threats. (b) External Threats.
Internal threats: (i) Wrongly considering that the mission is accomplished when a dictator falls. This is a major milestone but not the goal. (ii) Prominent figures and dignitaries are sometimes a threat. Listen to understand :) (iii) Don't get deceived by the smiles of enemy. Enemy is deceptive. (iv) Don't start celebrating small achievements. (v) Internal conflicts and disagreements.
External threats: (i) Enemies have puppet revolutionaries ready to hijack movements. (ii) Enemies have ready-made constitutions and manifesto for your successful movements. (iii) Enemies want to distract your attention from core and primary issues to secondary issues. (iv) Don't get deceived by a different face same policies leadership.
(v) Enemies will create disappointment and lack of confidence among you. (vi) Enemies will target your leadership. Must protect those who lead from the front. (vii) Sectarianism. (viii) Media war.
Expansion of Point (3) below, i.e. SOLUTION. (a) Rely on ALLAH. (b) Trust in divine help. (c) Stay optimistic, determined, and ready for sacrifice. (d) Repeats real goals and slogans of the movement. (e) Strictly avoid all kinds of nationalism, tribe-ism, language-ism etc. (f) Beware of the hijackers of the movements (they use slogans sometimes).
(g) America and NATO will come to "help" you. Reject them! (h) Don't trust ready-made manifestos, constitution, and recipes "others" have for you. Evaluate them with doubt. (i) Accept minority right and rights of other denominations living in the country. (j) Avoid Liberalism, Nationalism, Marxism, Socialism, and "so-called" Democracy (Imperialism)
(k) Hold tight to Muslim Unity and Akhlaq e Islami (Islamic morals, ethics, and values). (l) Make Freedom of Palestine one of your leading slogans.

Israel bans Pro-Palestinian activists from flying to Tel Aviv - 08Jul2011 - English

The Pro Palestinian activists who are part of a growing popular international solidarity movement with the Palestinian people against the Israeli siege on the Gaza strip and the Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories, were set to arrive to Ben Gurion international airport and from there travel to the occupied Palestinian territories.
Israel's ministry of transport has submitted a list containing the names of 342 activists to foreign airlines with instructions to bar these activists from boarding their flights.
But these activists say they have the right to leave their own borders, and Israel's actions are illegal.
The organizers of the "Welcome to Palestine" campaign, otherwise known as "Fly in" had intended for these activists to come to the occupied Palestinian territories to see first hand the impact the Israeli occupation has on Palestinians.
While waiting for the pro Palestinian activists to clear airport inspection, some Israeli left wing activists began shouting slogans against the Israeli occupation of Palestine and chanted Free Free Palestine. But they were quickly dragged away by the Israeli police.
The welcome to Palestine campaign or the fly in, coincided with the second Gaza flotilla which until now is barred by the Greek authorities from setting sail towards the coast of Gaza.
Tight screening has prevented most pro Palestinian activists from reaching their destination namely ben gurion airport. These activists say by preventing passengers from boarding their flights Israel is putting pressure on other countries to adopt its policies.

Namaz managed by Imamia students organisation (ISO)

Recently there was a bomb explosion at a make-shift prayer place for Shia students near Karachi University cafeteria, in which two students were critically wounded.
These protesters want the city officials and university administration to adopt tight security measures to avert similar incidents in the future . According to police sources one kilograms of explosive material was used in the blast.
A large number of students had been present in the university at the time of blast as it had re-opened after a recent closure due to campus clashes.
These demonstrators are demanding a separate prayer place for Shia students here on the University Campus as they say other communities like Christens and Hindus have their own place of worship and they accuse the university administration of failing to provide security for the students..
We were praying here because we do not have a prayer place, even a Hindu community has a prayer place in the campus and there are many mosques belonging to different sects why can\'t we have a Mosque of our own, we have submitted several applications to Voice Chancellor but all went in vain.
According to one of the university officials this is the first incident of its kind in the university history as no religious gathering like this has been attacked before and this blast shows that open religious gatherings at educational centers may come under attack by terrorist groups.
I was praying in the first row when the bomb exploded and suddenly a student on my right went down, it was horrible, a bomb palate hit his lag and he is critically injured we need a safe place a mosque on the campus.
But some say this incident is linked to the recent clashes between two student groups on sectarian grounds, and that segregating students can not help much with the security.
Students are also very critical of the Karachi University administration\'s failure to control the worsening law and order situation inside the campus.

Two days ago three soldiers and four gunmen were killed in another attack. Security has been tight in Russia\'s North Caucasus after two blasts killed 34 people in Volgograd last month. The blasts were carried out by separatist militants as a warning ahead of the 20-14 Sochi Winter Olympics. Russian President Vladimir Putin has pledged to fight the militants.

A key trial suspended just minutes after opening. An Egyptian judge has suspended the trial of the country\'s first democratically-elected president, Moahmed Morsi.
The suspension reportedly came after Morsi and 14 other defendants began shouting that they didn\'t recognize the authority of the court. Mohamed Morsi, three of his aides and 11 Muslim Brotherhood members are standing trial for allegedly inciting violence which left 10 protesters dead in December.
