The Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Sayyid Ali Khamenei addresses the American officials in 3 points.
Today, America is under trillions of dollars of debt yet it cheers exerting maximum economic pressure and sanction on the Islamic Republic of Iran. This attempt of crippling Iran\'s economy is aimed at destroying the Iranian nation and people. This shows the very criminal nature of the US.
The Leader then discusses the socio-economic condition of the US itself. This unsustainable system is destined to collapse. Check out the debt-clock (www.usdebtclock.org)
Lastly, Islamic Iran will prevail... the system of Wilayat al-Faqih will prevail... the future belongs to those who have faith and determination.

Only eleven days until the eleventh presidential election in Iran remain.
All the candidates are busy campaigning and giving speeches to promote their plans for the public. They will present their plans until a day before the election which would be held on June 14th.
All of the eight candidates approved by the Guardian Council have been given a timetable by Iran\'s National Radio and Television Organization to introduce their plans to the public through different channels and different types of programs.
Runners grab any chance to travel to Iran\'s major and small cities to meet people in the city mosques, conference halls and stadiums, giving vows to solve their problems.
Comparing to the last presidential election, internet websites are more active in promoting their favorite candidates. Supporters have launched different weblogs to announce their campaign slogans. Different unofficial internet polls are being conducted but the results differ based on the political orientation of the websites.
On Friday May 31st 2013 the first debate show between the eight candidates was held. This time the debates are different from the heated but troubled debates of the last Election back in 2009. Instead of talking to each other, the candidates were answering the moderator\'s somewhat challenging questions.
In this episode of Iran Today we will take a closer look at the candidates\' plans and their views on the policies adopted by the previous administrations.

Rohani was giving a televised message after his victory in the June 14 presidential elation which saw a massive popular turnout.
\"Those who [claim to] genuinely protect democracy and interaction as well as free speech should talk to this great nation respectfully and fairly after this great popular epic. They should recognize the rights of the Islamic Republic of Iran so that they could receive an appropriate response,\" he said.

In Iran, the spotlight is on the June 14 presidential election. The crucial vote will determine the path the country will be taking for the next four years.
This has to great extent undermined the city and village council elections which are set to be held on the same day as the presidential election.
Since the victory of the Islamic revolution Iranians have gone to the polls three times to vote for the city and village councils. A fourth round was to be held in June 2010 but was postponed for three years according to a decision made by the parliament.
This year 352 thousand hopefuls have registered to compete for 207 thousand seats around the country. Unlike other elections held in Iran, the Guardian Council is not responsible for the vetting process. Instead a parliamentary committee has to decide which of the candidates are qualified to run.
Since the 1979 Islamic revolution, on average one election has been held each year but the fourth round of city and village council elections is different in many ways.
First and foremost it is going be the biggest election ever held in the history of Iran in terms of the number of candidates and the number of seats at stake.
According to law any village with a population of over 100 should have its own council tasked with paving the way for the social, economic, and cultural development of the community that it represents.
In this edition of the show we will be taking a closer look at the preparations made for this round of city and village council elections and the role these councils have played in the development of cities and villages and the services that they provide.

The commander of the Quds Force of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionn Guards Corps says the United States is using the ISIL terrorist group as a lever to achieve its goals in the Middle East. Major General Qassem Suleimani said that the US wants to maintain Daesh in the region, so Muslims feel they need US help. The senior military commander added that Washington tried to create an empire in the region but Iran foiled its plans. Suleimani who was briefing members of Iran’s Assembly of Experts on developments in Iraq and Syria, further hailed Yemen’s Ansarullah movement for its six-month resistance against the Saudi invasion. According to the commander of the Quds Force, Ansarullah is a genuinely popular movement that has strong support among Yemenis.

It's the New Years here in Iran, and as the whole nation celebrates either at home or on the road, here at "Iran Today" we're reviewing the country's scientific achievements throughout the last year.
From nuclear technology to space exploration, Iran's academic community has been working hard to do the nation proud by the start of the New Year.
On the 8th of April 2011, Iran put its Comprehensive Scientific Plan in motion. By definition this plan is "a coordinated and dynamic collection of goals polices and requisite for planning the strategic evolution of science technology and innovation systems, based on Islamic/Iranian values."
Toward the end of 1390, Iran's became the world's 17th country in scientific development. Its scientific growth was 20 percent more than the previous year, the highest in the world.

The President and I by Soraya Sepahpour-Ulrich, 27 September 2010 I was pleasantly surprised when my request for an interview with Mr. Ahmadinejad, Iran's president was accepted. President Ahmadinejad has never shied away from being heard, but these interviews had been exclusive to prominent mainstream media personalities such as Larry King and Charlie Rose. However, it was the mainstream media's projection of Mr. Ahmadinejad that always remained questionable.
On September 21, 2010, on the occasion of President Ahmadinejad's participation at the UN General Assembly, I was given the opportunity to conduct a candid interview with Mr. Ahmadinejad. I had overlooked the fact that such a meeting would be conducted in the presence of the secret service and body guards. No sooner had this reality hit home than Mr. Ahmadinejad's down to earth and easy attitude made me forget the presence of others in the room as we began the session.
The time had come for me to verify or refute a research I had conducted as a Public Diplomacy graduate student while attending USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism. At that time, I had examined the media's role in fashioning the image of Mr. Ahmadinejad. My research posited that though 'some great men make history, and history makes some men great', in an age dominated by the media-- internet, television, radio, and newspapers, the portrayal of Ahmadinejad is an artificial construct of the mainstream media. The image portrayed by the media had made him hero to some and a villain to others. Superstar or scapegoat, the Iranian President continues to dominate the news. With help and questions from university students and professors, I was eager to meet the real Ahmadinejad.
Although a full hour had been granted for the interview (more accurately Q&A), regrettably, given the number of questions and the fact that the translation was not simultaneous, many of the questions were left unanswered. To my amazement, President Ahmadinejad granted me a second, follow-up interview (the transcript of which will be forwarded to participating universities).
It is a rewarding experience to bring one's research to a practical conclusion. I firmly believe that Ahmadinejad is misrepresented by the corporate owned media. I leave it up to others to judge for themselves.
