What does it mean when it is said that the people of the Hereafter consider worldly people to be dead?
And does the holy Qur\\\'an refer to instances where people who are physically alive are said to be \\\'dead\\\'?
And finally, when considering the Almighty Allah in contrast to people, what does it mean when it is said that Allah is \\\'alive\\\' and all else is \\\'dead\\\'?
The late Ayatollah Misbah-Yazdi (R) provides us with a short, but profound lesson on the basics of loving Allah.

Welcome to the Islamic Pulse Talk Show.
In this episode we're answering the fundamental question, "Is Islam A Religion of Politics?".
Why is this question such an important question that needs answering?
What is one of the objectives for the Almighty Allah to send divinely appointed Prophets (A) to the Earth?
What does it mean when it is said that Islam is a comprehensive religion and it includes all aspects of life?
What kind of view of Islam do the people have that don't have a deep understanding of Islam?
What are some examples of Islam's nurturing of and encouraging social life?
What are some interesting points about the congregational Friday prayers known as the Jum'ah Prayers and its relation to the discussion at hand?
What role does the Masjid play in the original and Pure Muhammadan Islam of the Messenger of Allah (S)?
Where can the roots of the separation of politics from Islam ultimately be traced back to?
What is the concept of a 'spiritual Wilayah' and a 'social Wilayah'; and where were they united?
Why is it said that an Islam without politics is a 'weak' Islam?
What did Imam Khomeini (R) mean when he said that before the Islamic Revolution, Islam was like a dead horse?
What is the source of all the progress that is being seen in the Islamic Republic of Iran?
If the other divinely appointed Imams (A) had the opportunity to establish a government, would they?
What is an interesting story about an Englishman in a Muslim country, and how is it related to our discussion and our mourning ceremonies in the month of Muharram and Safar?
What is a profound statement of Imam Husayn (A) that shows us that his eminence's stand was for all of humanity and for all of time?
And in the end, "Is Islam A Religion of Politics?
To answer these questions and many more, we humbly invited Shaykh Hurr Shabbiri from the United Kingdom, to sit down with us and speak a little bit about the answer to the age-old question, "Is Islam A Religion of Politics?".
Unfortunate that after so many years, we are still answering this age-old question, whose answer is all so fundamentally crystal clear.

p. 188
So we've all heard the slogan "No Justice, No Peace", but what does Justice really mean. Well, we're digging up the Truth and talking about Justice on Sister Spade.
What is one of the most common concepts spoken of in the traditions of the holy Prophet (S) and the Ahlul Bayt (A)?
And what is obviously one of the main reasons for the establishment of a government by Imam al-Mahdi (A)?
What is one of the priorities of the government of Imam al-Mahdi (A)?
What are the inhabitants of the world if they don't live by justice?
What does the 7th divinely appointed Imam, Imam Musa ibn Ja'far al-Kadhim (A) say about verse number 17 of Suratul Hadeed in the holy Qur'an?
Finally, what can we do to prepare for Imam al-Mahdi (A) and bring our hearts back to life?
Sister Spade explains and answers these questions and more, based upon selections from the book, The Essence of Creation, 3rd edition, as she speaks about how "Without Justice, You're Just Walking Dead".
So if you're going to be walking alive above the ground, you better start doing it with Justice.

The Most Important Feature of a Goal in Life | Agha Ali Reza Panahiyan | Farsi Sub English

==============================
The most important feature of a goal is that it should create a fire from within a person. It should give warmth, strengthen, entertain and give direction to a person’s imaginations. This is how a person’s goal should be, otherwise one’s life is useless. [As a poem says,] “Pray over his body although he’s not dead.” A life in which one’s goal doesn’t give warmth and doesn’t answer one’s need for love is a very low level of life.
In our life, everything really depends on the goal we choose. Imagine if you let people be free but don’t talk about religion, God’s commands or beliefs. Just tell people, “Live with a goal that warms you, creates a fire and answers your need for love. See where you can find this goal yourself.” They can’t find such a goal even if false propaganda is used.
Have you seen that people talk about love and affection? It’s interesting that everyone talks about love, but no one reaches to it. Everyone likes and admires a life filled with love. Instead of using the term “a life with love,” God has designed this in religion in this way that He says, “Set your goal to be getting close to Me.” Getting close to God will light a fire (of love) in one’s heart. Maybe when people talk about a life with love, this is what they mean.
And we have worked so poorly and weakly in this regard! The effects of our deeds have sometimes been so repulsive that we haven’t been able to help people to understand this attractive, affectionate, deep, and so rational concept of getting close to God. People do not know religion to be getting close to God. But no deed without having the intention of getting close to God is accepted. Unfortunately, if you introduce religion without the concept of getting close to God, religion will seem awful to people. Those people [who’ve learned this kind of religion] are right to hate it. Perhaps religion without the passionate, attractive meaning of closeness to God has been taught to them.
Imagine if one is able to understand such a goal, he sets it as his goal and he is able to gradually strengthen this goal. Imagine what effects this will have on one’s heart. The explosive part of religion that awakens one’s heart and causes him to move can be found in the concepts of getting close to God and how to get close to Him. God shows us this majestic universe and says, “I have created these. These are my creation. Now look at Me Myself.” It’s incomparable. Then God says, “Set your goal to be getting close to Me.”

“Never think of those who are slain in Allah’s way as dead. Rather, they are alive with their Lord, receiving provision.” [Qur\'an 3:169]
What is different when it comes to the general wars in the world and the Sacred Defense?
What were the commanders like during the Sacred Defense?
And what attraction does martyrdom hold that it causes one to leave their families and these worldly pleasures and give up their most valuable thing – their life?
Finally, what sacrifices do people make in order to attain that lofty position of martyrdom?
Imam Khamenei and Shaheed Soleimani talk about one such person – Shaheed Mahdi Baqeri – who saw his abode in Paradise, in his final hours.

#Ramadan #Quran #ProphetMuhammad
After thirteen years of struggle, the Muslim community were at a dead-end – if they stayed in Mecca, not only could they not grow, but rather, their lives were in danger every day. What to do in such a situation? The answer was to leave Mecca and find a new home to grow in – and so Prophet Muhammad, through the direction of Allāh, proceeded to plan to move at night to the city of Yathrib – north of Mecca. He would create an elaborate plan, with Imam ʿAlī playing the most important role in his young life – to sacrifice his life for the Prophet to remain safe. Join us in this episode as we review the migration to Medina – bidding farewell to Mecca.

Juz 20 of 30 | Journeying our eyes through the Quran | Sister Fatemah Meghji | English

The 20th Juz consists of Surat an-Naml (last 37 verses, The Ant), Surat al-Qasas (88 verses, The Stories) and Surat al-Ankabut (first 45 verses The Spider). The discussion in these suras explore the barriers/veils that prevent one from allowing the Quranic guidance to permeate their hearts. God clearly states that only those who believe in God’s signs, are open-hearted and have submitted, even partially, to the truth will be able to perceive the guidance offered by the Quran. Those who insist on rejecting the truth, and are arrogant, will be like the ‘deaf or dead who can’t hear’ because they lack intellectual humility and intentionally don’t want to listen to the message of God. Suratul Qasas relates the story of Prophet Musa, and includes the story of Qarun, who despite his knowledge and wealth, lacked humility, believing he ‘deserved’ God’s blessings. Pharoah and Haman are also mentioned in the same vein, and their arrogance led them to punishment and destruction. The reference to the spider’s web, giving Sura Ankabut its name, describes how such people’s base is like the frailest of homes, that of a spider, while the hold of God is the strongest. The Juz ends with God’s promise that those who strive in God’s way, will attain guidance.

Becoming familiar with some of the sweet concepts of the Sha’baniya Supplication
Session 5
In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful. One of the very beautiful, monotheistic sentences in the beginning of the Sha’baniya Supplication is the phrase, which I mentioned in previous sessions for another reason, “What comes to me or is taken away, benefits or loss, are in Your hands and not the hands of anyone else. My Lord, if You deprive me, who can give me sustenance? If You humiliate and leave me, who can help me?” What comes to me or is taken away, benefits or loss,
are in Your hands and not the hands of anyone else. Then, it concludes, “My Lord, if You deprive me, who can give me sustenance? If You humiliate and leave me, who can help me?”
The first point is that it’s obvious when we are asked, “Who has power and in whose hands are affairs? Is there anyone else with the Almighty God?” we give a clear answer. “Power is in God’s hands. Others besides God cannot do anything.” So why don’t these monotheistic teachings become internalized in our hearts the way they should for them to cause us to cry, moan and talk to God, and have the most intense love in our hearts for the Lord? Loving to talk to the Almighty God and feeling a need for this conversation deeply, are due to these monotheistic teachings that have become internalized in one’s heart. What is the obstacle to these monotheistic teachings becoming internalized in our hearts? The obstacle is that we give too much value to various causes. We don’t see God’s role as being more than a cause, the tools that we have, or even our own power.
It’s usually tribulations that create such a feeling for a person. Tribulations bring a person to a dead end. Then, one suddenly feels that he doesn’t have anyone except God. But, when we are at the peak of prosperity, we don’t have anyone but God either. When everything around us and all events are going smoothly, when we are on the verge of reaching all of our desires, in the same way, we don’t have anyone except God. We are not polytheists in this way that we believe in God while believing in other gods with Him. We are not polytheists in this way that we worship idols and consider both God and idols to be effective in the world. But, an amount of polytheism exists, which prevents us from having monotheism in our hearts. It takes away our feeling for wanting to talk to God. This amount of polytheism is usually in our hearts that we see causes and people to be very effective in our lives.
We should think deeply about how much power God exerts in our lives according to the verse of the Qur’an where God tells the Prophet, “…and you did not smite when you smote the (enemy), but it was Allah Who smote them!” [Qur’an 8:17] A high understanding of monotheism will become internalized in a person’s heart. We should ponder on the topic of “determinism and free will.” We should look at how involved God is in our lives in each moment.
We should consider this fact that there are no coincidences in our lives. When we get a taxi in the street or call for a taxi, which taxi and which taxi driver comes, which radio station he is listening to in the taxi, and what we are hearing, none of these are coincidences. And, God can change the minds of people around us about what they say to us. He always does this. Because, all the scenes around us should be designed in a way that are in accordance with God’s tests. Therefore, everything is in God’s hands. It’s really in His hands.
It’s fine if we do our duty with regard to the causes. It’s our duty to repel a harm that comes towards us and to go towards a benefit, which comes to us, and take that benefit, but of course using lawful ways. Otherwise, we have turned God against ourselves. It’s not that we shouldn’t care about causes at all, but we should see God to be more powerful than these causes. If this state is created within us, the feeling of wanting to talk to God will intensify.
We often talk to and supplicate God politely, which is excellent. Sometimes we talk to and supplicate God with affection. Of course, this is excellent too. But, these don’t contradict a person understanding his exigency. The Household of the Prophet talked to God politely, affectionately, and also with an intense urgency. Where does this urgency arise from? It comes from the monotheism in their hearts, not in tribulations, but in regular situations. They truly look intensely at God in regular situations.
The next point, which can be connected to this topic and strengthen it, is in the second phrase that I read for you. He says, “My Lord, if You deprive me, who can give me sustenance? If You humiliate and leave me, who can help me?” Believing that we always need God’s help is a very valuable belief. One of the greatest tribulations that God threatens bad people with in the Qur’an, is where He says, “I won’t help you!” What does this mean?

Islamic Pulse Productions is proud and humbled to present our very first IP Talk show about a great and honorable martyr, in a long of line Islamic Revolutionary martyrs dating back to Imam Husayn ibne Ali (A).
We invited Shaykh Ali Qomi to come and discuss with us the life of Shaheed Arif Husayn al-Husayni; a martyr who lived and died firmly upon the path of Wilayat.
Where did this martyr grow up?
What Islamic Seminaries did he attend?
What were his political and religious stances?
What led to his murder at the hands of the enemies of Islam?
And finally, what legacy has Shaheed Allamah Arif Husayn al-Husayni left for us to follow.
\\\\\\\"And do not consider those who have been slain in the cause of Allah as dead. Rather, they are alive with their Nourishing Lord, receiving their provision,\\\\\\\"

One of the most integral actions that a human being must do is to ask for forgiveness from Allah because we have a tendency to commit sins.
But are sins limited to just what we normally consider to be sins?
Are there more internal and hidden sins that we commit, while we aren\'t even aware of them?
What do people who suffer from these internal and hidden sins say about the other people around them?
Finally, is the path towards Towheed (Islamic monotheism) lead to a dead end, or is it perhaps, an infinite path?
The Leader of the Muslim Ummah, Imam Sayyid Ali Khamenei explains.

Karbala is not a story that took place in 61AH. Instead Karbala is a movement comprised of an eternal battle between Haqq & Batil. This battle continues today between the Husaynis and the Yazidis. The camp of Husayn (A) continues to resist against the camp of Yazid. Imam Husayn (A) was martyred in Karbala so who is leading his movement today? Yazid is dead so who is leading his movement today? Sayyid Hashim elaborates.

What is the Coronavirus telling us?
One of the very valuable statements from Imam Baqir (‘a) is a letter he wrote to Sa’d. In the beginning of the letter, the Imam mentions a subject, which is needed by today’s society. “In the Name of God, the Companionate, the Merciful. I advise you to have ‘Taqwa’ (be careful of your duty to Allah). Because, this brings well-being from devastation and benefit when returning (to God).” [Osul Kafi, vol. 8, p. 52] Taqwa saves you from destruction. Your assets won’t be wasted. Your talents won’t be destroyed. It will become something valuable for your Hereafter.
The tradition continues, “Because of their Taqwa, Noah and the ones who were with him (the believers) in the ship were rescued.” Salih and his people were rescued from lightning with Taqwa. What does Taqwa mean? Vigilance. Be careful. That person is a careful person. What do doctors constantly say about this virus that has appeared? Take care. Wash your hands. Don’t kiss others. Be careful not to touch unclean environments. Right? This is taking care. Is it something bad?
Some people are not careful at all. When you remind them and they start being careful, they experience a new feeling. What is the difference between Taqwa and an ordinary being careful? An example of an ordinary being careful is when it’s dark and you touch things carefully and are careful not to bump into anything. This is for when you yourself are taking care of your world. This is like these regular sanitary measures and other ways of taking care. It’s like being careful when driving not to have an accident. This is a minimum amount of being careful. It’s very stylish and beautiful too.
Another kind is for people to be careful about carrying out God’s commands. Being careful in this case is a thousand times more. The Commander of the Faithful, Ali (‘a), said, “Whoever is careful about God’s commands, God will take care of him/her.” The effect of God taking care of us is much more than us taking care of ourselves. Sometimes a person takes care of his greatest benefit. He/she is careful about God’s opinion. This is Taqwa. You are careful like a child who is careful but is in his parent’s embrace. One hundred times more than the child, his father takes care of him not to fall or be injured. If one tries to hit this child, he will bring his hand forward as a shield to protect himself. But, more important than this is the father’s hand, which suddenly comes forward and protects the child.
We should take care for our interests to be protected. Taking care is the first condition to being successful in life. Taking care means paying attention. A pious person is the one who is careful. “Taking care” is something nice and it doesn’t get old. This is not like saying, “You like to be religious, but I don’t!” A doctor is careful. You like a careful and watchful person. God likes such a person too. This is a very chic life.
Then, the tradition continues, “With Taqwa, God protects His servant from whatever does not come to his mind.” Whatever his mind doesn’t understand, God will compensate for him. Imam Baqir (‘a) is mentioning in this tradition whatever doesn’t come to your mind and is hidden from you. How should I know which environment is infected by virus and which environment isn’t. Should I enter it, or not?
One of those who has fallen ill with Coronavirus is putting posts in his page. He said, “I became sick and went to the hospital.” He’s healing now. He said, “No matter how much I think about how I got this virus, nothing comes to my mind.” A person doesn’t understand! But, what if God takes care of a person? What is this virus telling us? It is saying, “Be more careful.” All of life is this. If the most important thing that you want to take care of is God’s satisfaction, God will open the way for you so that you may pass through problems when everyone is stuck in a dead end.
Whoever sees his problems in life have increased should be more careful. He should pray more on time and with more attention. When you are careful about God’s opinion, that He is not ignored, He is not disrespected, and are careful about His command, all of your worldly benefits will be provided better. This is what Imam Baqir (‘a) was saying. We need to be careful in misfortunes. If you want to be saved from this illness or any other fatal problem, you need Taqwa, Taqwa of the tongue, ears, and eyes. Increase this Taqwa and you will clearly see its effects.

The aftermath of the terrorist attack by America to assassinate General Qasem Soleimani called for a severe revenge. The people of the region, especially the Iranian nation demanded a response against the bullying America. The Islamic Republic of Iran stood up to the arrogant bully and launched a missile attack on the American military bases in Iraq. This public display of power crushed America\'s arrogance and fake grandeur. How many countries do you know have the courage to attack an American military base today? Where does Islamic Iran get this amazing strength from? America must know that those days of hit-and-run are gone. This response is the beginning of the #Severe_Revenge that America should await now. In addition to the dead rats i.e. dead American soldiers, destroyed infrastructure and military equipment housed at these expensive military bases, what did these missile strikes accomplish?
The Leader of the Muslim Ummah, Imam Sayyid Ali Khamenei speaks.
