The Viva Palestina humanitarian convoy enters the Gaza Strip, breaking the deadly Israeli blockade imposed on 1.5 million Palestinians for a second time.
The American aid convoy carrying hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of supplies for the people of Gaza crossed the Rafah border on Wednesday upon receiving permission from Cairo after a 10-day delay.
The 200 activists are allowed to stay in the coastal territory only for 24 hours, a Press TV correspondent reported.
Viva Palestina activists, all Americans, including Charles Barron, a New York City Councilman, say that they have been stranded on the Egyptian side of the Rafah crossing for about 10 days despite earlier arrangements.
The humanitarian aid convoy consisting of 50 vehicles is the second organized by British Member of Parliament and Press TV presenter George Galloway

Ever since the war on Gaza in late 2008, Turks have openly sided with Palestinians and have been extremely critical of Israeli military operations and it's blockade on Gaza.
Turkish protesters marched to the Israeli consulate in Istanbul to mark "Nakba Day", the annual commemoration of the displacement of Palestinian people after Israel evicted them from their territories and homes in 1948.
In that year, an estimated 700,000 Palestinians were displaced as hundreds of villages were destroyed, something these protesters say can not be ignored.

Talk by Anas Altikriti and Lauren Booth
Lauren Booth is an English broadcaster, journalist and pro-Palestinian activist. She works for Iran's English language news channel, Press TV.In August 2008 she travelled to Gaza by ship from Cyprus, along with 46 other activists, to highlight the blockade of the Gaza Strip and deliver hearing aids and balloons to a deaf school in Gaza. Booth elected to remain behind in Gaza, and was subsequently refused entry into both Israel and Egypt. She said that she believed that, by refusing her the right to leave Gaza and return to her home country, Israel and Egypt were in breach of Article 13 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, specifically regarding freedom of movement.
Anas Altikriti is President and founder of the Cordoba Foundation. A leading figure in the British Anti-War movement, Altikriti also served as president of the Muslim Association of Britain between 2004 and 2005.
Altikriti holds an MSc in Translation and Interpreting. He teaches translation and interpreting on part-time basis at Leeds University. He headed the Respect Yorkshire and Humberside slate for the European elections in 2004.
Altikriti organised more than twenty major demonstrations including the demonstration against the Iraq war organized in London on February 15, 2003. He was also special envoy to Iraq to negotiate the release of Western hostages. As a commentator in the International and Arab media (e.g. BBC, CNN, ABC, SKY, Al-Jazeera, etc.) on Muslim and current affairs, he has appeared on HARDtalk and the Doha Debates (both with Tim Sebastian), 'Lateline' on Australian ABC and BBC's Newsnight as well as a number of prominent programs on a variety of international channels. Altikriti has contributed a number of articles to The Guardian, Al-Ahram Weekly and Islam Online.

Since the innocent residents of Parachinar have been suffering for over 5 years now. There is a blockade of basic necessities of life inside Parachinar e.g. food, medicines etc. Terrorists kill those who attempt to go to Parachinar. There are several incidents where cars and trucks are burnt by these Takfiri elements.
Government of Pakistan has always turned a blind eye towards the demands made by the residents of Parachinar and the supporters of human rights throughout Pakistan. False promises and unfulfilled commitments by the Government have compelled the general public of Pakistan to feel for the oppressed living in Parachinar.
To fulfill this responsibility, MWM has decided to take an aid caravan to Parachinar. Now the civilians of Pakistan will help the oppressed of Parachinar.
Freedom lover people of Pakistan have donated many goods and money to their brothers and sisters in Pakistan. May Allah accept their contribution.
MAY ALLAH PROTECT THIS CARAVAN AND THAT THEY REACH PARACHINAR WITH ALL THE FOOD SUPPLIES, MEDICINES, AND OTHER GOODS OF USE. MAY ALLAH BRING THESE DIGNIFIED AND GLORIOUS BELIEVERS BACK HOME SAFE AS WELL.

UN officials are calling on Israel to end the blockade of the Gaza Strip. They\'re warning that the situation in the Palestinian territory may get even worse.
The head of the UN agency for Palestinian refugees says the Israeli blockade has paralyzed Gaza\'s construction industry. Robert Turner also said that the demolition of tunnels used by Gazans to transfer goods and construction materials to the enclave has put U-N projects on hold. This, after Egyptian authorities also stepped up the destruction of the tunnels in recent months. Meanwhile, another U-N official, James Rawley has also waned about the humanitarian situation in the Palestinian territory over a lack of fuel there. Gaza\'s fuel crisis has led to the closure of its main power plant in recent months. Israel imposed its all-out land, aerial, and naval blockade on Gaza in June 2007 after the victory of Hamas in elections there.

An Israeli blockade, repeated airstrikes targeting their lands, and an Israeli threat on their lives along the no-go buffer zone; this is the story of Palestinian farmers in Gaza.Palestinian farmlands have been the target of many Israeli attacks during the years. The airstrikes and bombings have polluted the farmers\' lands, making it unsuitable for healthy plant cultivations. The misery of Gaza\'s farmers does not stop here as they lack the needed machinery and seeds and Israel does not allow them to export their goods to the outside world.
The Ministry of Health and the farmers in Gaza have called on the international community and human rights organizations to end Israel\'s continuous attacks on Palestinian farmers and civilians. As the Israeli blockade and airstrikes on the coastal enclave continue, farmers in Gaza are the ones to pay the price.

The Gaza Strip has fallen eerily silent as day-to-day life grinds to a halt in the face of an Israeli fuel blockade that has forced the UN to halt its food shipments into the territory. Michael Bailey of Oxfam in Jerusalem tells The Real News Network that some 300,000 Gaza residents have drinking water at home for less than five hours per day - every four days - and the UN can no longer get supplies to the 700,000 refugees living in Gaza. SHAME ON ISRAEL for these henious crimes against the humanity. SHAME ON ISRAEL for blockade of the necessities of life on innocent people. MAY GOD's WRATH BE ON ZIONISTS and SUPPORTERS OF ZIONISTS. DEATH TO ISRAEL. DEATH TO AMERICA. United States of America must be ashamed of its blind support to Israel and Zionism. This Zionist state will be wiped off from the map of the world because innocent people pray to God for Israels Destruction. May GOD's wrath be on the AGGRESSORS - their SUPPORTERS and those who are watching all this and STAY QUIET.

According to the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics, there are more than 38 thousand people with disabilities in the Gaza Strip; or 2.4% of the total population in the Gaza Strip are with disabilities. Due to the Israeli blockade imposed on the coastal enclave, disabled people in Gaza suffer two main problems; obtaining a medical permit for treatment outside Gaza, and getting access to required medications not available in the hospitals of the blockaded Gaza.
