Juz 17 of the Holy Qur\'an consists of two surahs, Surah al-Anbiya and Surah Hajj. Surah al-Anbiya contains references to 17 prophets. The surah delves into the stories of Prophet Ayub (as), Prophet Yunus (as), and Prophet Zackariyah (as). The story of Prophet Zackariyah (as) specifically touches on a very prevalent issue in our society today, infertility. The common thread in all these stories is that our prophets all suffered and when they wanted to find solace, they all turned to Allah (swt). We can use this as a lesson in our lives and as a point of reflection. When we are struck with difficulty, do we sincerely ask Allah (swt) for help? When we are in a difficult position, we should remember our prophets and make dua to Allah (swt) to remove the affliction and ease our heart with whatever He deems is best for us.

The 20th Juz consists of Surat an-Naml (last 37 verses, The Ant), Surat al-Qasas (88 verses, The Stories) and Surat al-Ankabut (first 45 verses The Spider). The discussion in these suras explore the barriers/veils that prevent one from allowing the Quranic guidance to permeate their hearts. God clearly states that only those who believe in God’s signs, are open-hearted and have submitted, even partially, to the truth will be able to perceive the guidance offered by the Quran. Those who insist on rejecting the truth, and are arrogant, will be like the ‘deaf or dead who can’t hear’ because they lack intellectual humility and intentionally don’t want to listen to the message of God. Suratul Qasas relates the story of Prophet Musa, and includes the story of Qarun, who despite his knowledge and wealth, lacked humility, believing he ‘deserved’ God’s blessings. Pharoah and Haman are also mentioned in the same vein, and their arrogance led them to punishment and destruction. The reference to the spider’s web, giving Sura Ankabut its name, describes how such people’s base is like the frailest of homes, that of a spider, while the hold of God is the strongest. The Juz ends with God’s promise that those who strive in God’s way, will attain guidance.

The 13th Juz consists of Surah Yusuf (last 58 verses), Surat al-Ra’ad (43 verses, the Thunder), and Surah Ibrahim (52 verses). All are Meccan and contain themes of establishing the basic tenants of Islam. In the Qur\'an, God uses stories, parables, prose, imagery, rhetorical questions, similitude and allegories to help us separate the truth from falsehood. In this juz, two interesting parables appear. In a delicate way, He uses examples from nature, like the one of the froth/scum on water or the process of purifying gold as is mentioned in Surat al Ra’ad. In Surah Ibrahim, words and beliefs are likened to trees. Both of these mention parables that explain the nature of Truth and falsehood. While falsehood is temporary, Truth is permanent and stable. These parables appeal to our intellect and understanding, so that we may reflect, accept the truth to purify ourselves, and ultimately draw closer to God.

Although Imam Mahdi’s long life of about 1,200 years is much more than the average life expectancy of a human being, it is not impossible based on current scientific theories and various current theological beliefs. Scientists are actively researching elongating the life of human cells and protecting them from disease, aging, and other deteriorating factors. Some scientists believe that science has the potential to increase human life up to several hundreds of years. The natural world is full of wonders, where plant and animal species have been alive for thousands of years. The mysterious stories of people with long lives of several hundreds of years have been mentioned in various cultures and religions. For example, the longevity of several people has been explicitly mentioned in the Torah, such as Prophet Adam’s age of 930 years and Prophet Adam’s son, Seth’s age of 912 years. Some pre-Islamic Prophets are believed to still be living today, such as Prophet Elijah (Ilyas), who was raised to the sky according to the Old Testament. Muslims of various sects believe that the pre-Islamic Prophets Elijah, Enoch (Idris), Khizr, and Jesus (Isa) never died and are still alive. The Holy Quran explicitly mentions a few examples of noble characters who were blessed with exceptionally long lives. For example, the prophethood of Prophet Noah amongst his people lasted for 950 years, and is mentioned in the Quran [29:14]: “And certainly We sent Noah to his people, so he remained among them a thousand years save fifty years”. We thus deduce that Prophet Noah lived for more than 950 years. Prophet Jesus is another example of a prophet who did not die per the Quran [4:157,158]: “And for their saying, “We have killed the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, the Messenger of God. In fact, they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him, but it appeared to them as if they did. Indeed, those who differ about him are in doubt about it. They have no knowledge of it, except the following of assumptions. Certainly, they did not kill him. Rather, God raised him up to Himself. God is Mighty and Wise.” We thus deduce that Prophet Jesus has been living now for over 2,000 years. Another Quranic piece of evidence is the story of Prophet Ezra (Uzair), where God took his life away for 100 years and then made him alive again, as mentioned in the following verse [2:259]: “(Or have you heard) of the one who, on passing through an empty and ruined town, said, ‘How will God bring it to life?’ God caused him to die and brought him back to life after a hundred years and then asked him, ‘How long have you been here?’ He replied, ‘One day or part of a day’. The Lord said, ‘No, you have been here for one hundred years. Look at your food and drink. They have not yet decayed’.” According to this verse of the Quran, God not only elongated his life for 100 years, but He also miraculously preserved his food and drink, which would have naturally decayed in a day or two. The companions of the cave are another Quranic story in which a few believers took shelter in a cave and slept there for 309 years, as mentioned in the following verse of the Quran [18:25] “And they stayed in their cave for three hundred years, adding nine.” During these long years, they were sleeping, and their body was functioning without any need for water or food. The Shias believe that the long life of Imam Mahdi is a miracle of God, and nothing is impossible for The Creator. God can elongate the life of His chosen savior and prevent him from aging. According to the narrations from the Shia Imams, when Imam Mahdi will reappear, he will look like a 40-year-old or younger.

In this new video, Sheikh Jamel Tahiri comes back to the meaning of the word Tawa in verse 12 of Sura 20 \"Ta Ha\", and to the fact that God addresses the Messenger (p) by telling him that he was not on the right side the mountain in relation to the time. He also mentioned the story of Moses (p) when he went to meet the master (el khidr), this \"abd a salih\" as the Quran calls him, and then finally on the story of Solomon and Balqis, the queen of Sheba, wondering about the throne that she possessed. Concerning the sacred valley Tawa, he reminds us that it plunges man into a dimension that is out of time. Ta Ha 20:12 \"I am your Lord. Take off your sandals for you are in the Sacred Valley, Tuwa. This word \"Tawa\" whose root is \"yatwi\" which means to fold, which reminds us of the verse where God speaks of the day when the Earth and the Heavens will be rolled up like a scroll In the Quran, God calls us to a time other than the earthly time we are in. He then returns to the verse of the right flank, reminding us that the Quran should be a challenge to the believer. So when God tells the Messenger of God (p) that he was not present with Moses (p), this is obvious, so why does God specify this? He does it to challenge us on the dimension of Time in which God wants us to enter. Indeed, the Messenger (p) was not there in the historical earthly time, but he was present in another dimension which is out of time. All the stories of the Prophets, the Messenger of God (p) is the father, the source. Thus, in order to capture the essence and reality of what lies behind the Quranic stories, we must step out of the earthly time and aspire to the timeless dimension. In this way, we will discover the greatness that is hidden in Man and the dimension that God has given him, that of a Science that was given only to him (\"and he taught Adam all the names\"). In this new analysis, Sheikh Jamel Tahiri comes back to the topics discussed in the last analysis, namely the prime number 19 and the \"salam\". 19, this number has a peculiarity with the Quran and proves that it is not human and is not the result of chance. He also comes back to the term \"salam\", peace. What is peace? Beyond its external dimension, it has an internal dimension. Indeed, man is in perpetual conflict with himself. Man lives with two realities, the reality of the material body and the reality of the soul or spirit. As long as he has not understood the mission of the two, he is in conflict and lives this conflict perpetually within himself while he can appear to live in #happiness. When we are at peace with ourselves, we can serenely transmit the message to everyone in general and build this world. It is because man lives a conflict inside himself that he ends up externalizing them and leading men into division and disunity. Islam, the religions, the Prophets came for an approach of research, of quest towards God. In Islam, and this is valid for all religions, we study in the framework of religious studies the stories and the Quran based on the life and the opinion of the scholars who preceded us. However, our Imams teach us to be in a process of perpetual research and evolution. One of the differences between the Shiite school and the Sunni school is that for our Sunni brothers, there is no \"Ijtihad\", which can be translated as the effort to make the idea be appreciated according to the place and time. The Shiites have also locked this door by taking at face value what the scholars have left and not questioning them anymore. In reality, this approach of effort in research is Qur\'anic through the notion of \"Ummi\", translated as virgin, purity, impartial, because one has not relied on learned and acquired things. Ummi is based on an innate science, a science free of all things that would disturb the #reflection. God wants to make Himself known. However, man\'s problem is that he wants to know Him through the 5 physical senses. In the beginning, God wanted to make Himself known and loved, which is why He created the creation. How can we know God and come to know Him? Especially when we discover a truth, we remain fixed to this truth whereas God wants his creature to be always in search so that he is in a continuous process of renewal. Going towards God is a process that requires a lot of effort and endurance. This quest requires a readiness to sacrifice the great convictions within us. Man must be prepared to give up everything in order for God to bestow His knowledge upon him. What are the purposes of the divine Word? What are the purposes of all the stories told in the Book? One of the purposes is to make oneself known through the Book. Our Imams tell us that if we want to discuss with God then we must read the Book. How do we get to this level and stage of reading? God wants to bring us to that stage where when we read it, God speaks to us and makes Himself known. If we become aware of this, then we enter a dimension where we get to know God and God reveals himself to us.
