Ya Amena song about Prophet Muhammad
يا آمنة طاب لك
من ربك ما قد وهب
أعطاك خلقاً سامياً
فيه المعالي و الأدب
فمحمد كيف بشر
يأتي بإعجاز السور
و يقص آيات العجب
Oh Amina blessed are you
with your son
The one of love
God graced you with him
So full of
Meaning and virtue from heaven
Words cant explain
The reason of your grace
our hearts just contain
a longing for your face
فلقد أتانا رحمة
يئد المفاسد و الفتن
و يصون أعراف العرب
فهو عالي المكرمة
و بخلقه متكرماً
ليس بجاه أو نسب
Our hearts call
Call for you
Enchanting as the starry night
For you are
Are the true
Messenger of the righteous right

8th April every year is commemorated by the Islamic Ummah as the anniversary of the martyrdom of the super genius personality of Islam Ayatullah al-Uzma Sayyid Muhammad Baqir al-Sadr who was born in Kazemain -Iraq- on Ziqaadah 25 1353 A.H. He belonged to a religious family which has been the cradle of Islamic learning for about a century by now. He lost his father when he was only 4 years old and he was then brought up by his mother and elder brother Ismail al-Sadr. From his very childhood he showed signs of extra-ordinary intelligence and aptitude for learning. When he was only 10 years he spoke on doctrinal matters and Islamic History with such confidence as if he had spent decades mastering these subjects. When he was 11 years old he wrote a book on logic and also began delivering lectures on this subject. In 1365 A.H when he was 12 years old he settled in Najaf -Iraq- and began studying as well as teaching the principles of Islamic Jurisprudence and other branches of Islamic learning. He possessed such an extra-ordinary acumen that he could fully comprehend the lessons of the level of his own studies without the help of his teacher. Eventually he was elevated to the position of Ijtihad -jurisprudent- and also began writing books. He has written 26 books on various subjects. Some of these books have been translated into Persian English Urdu and Turkish. Including - Jurisprudence - Fundamentals of Jurisprudence - Economics - Philosophy - Inductive Logic - Social Problems and Public administration. Ayatullah Sadr s support of Imam Khomeini r.a. and his opposition to the atheist Bathist regime in Iraq led by Saddam shook the foundations of the atheist Bathist regime of Saddam. Ayatullah Sadr as the leader the Islamic movement had gained popular support from the Muslims in Iraq and emerged as powerful force in Iraq. The atheist Baathist Saddam arrested Ayatullah Sadr and his sister Aminah Bint al-Huda in February 1980 and were imprisoned in the notorious Abu Ghuraib prison in Baghdad. He and his sister were severely tortured by the Baathist agents in the prison and were shot dead directly by the hands of atheist Baathist Saddam on April 8th 1980. Thus the super genius personality of Islam Martyred Ayatullah Sayyid Muhammad Baqir al-Sadr and his learned scholar sister Amina Bint al-Huda were martyred by the atheist Baathist Saddam. Amina Bint al-Huda was great Islamic scholar and an advocate of women rights in Islam and single handedly recruited hundreds of women into fold of Islam. She was prolific novelist and political speaker that mobilized masses to struggle against tyranny of atheist Baathist Saddam. Ayatullah Sadr s martyrdom aroused no criticism from the West against the atheist Baathist Saddam regime - its reason was clear - because Ayatullah Sadr had openly supported the Islamic revolution in Iran. The bodies of the martyred Ayatullah Sayyid Muhammad Baqir al-Sadr and his learned scholar sister Amina Bint al-Huda were buried in holy city of Najaf - beside Imam Ali a.s. shrine. Imam Khomeini r.a. in his message on their martyrdom stated - Martyr Ayatullah Baqir Sadr and his honorable sister who were the teachers of Islamic sciences and morality were martyred by Iraqi regime. Martyrdom is a heritage which these dear individuals inherited it from their holy ancestors.

Sayyid Muhammad Baqir al-Sadr was born in al-Kazimiya, Iraq to the prominent Sadr family, which originated from Jabal Amel in Lebanon.
He was a child prodigy who, at the age of 10, was delivering lectures on Islamic history.
At the age of eleven, he was a student of logic. He wrote a book refuting materialistic philosophy when he was 24.
Shaheed Sadr completed his religious studies at religious seminaries under Ayatollah al-Khoei and Muhsin al-Hakim, and began teaching at the age of 25.
Shaheed Sadr and his sister, Amina Sadr bint al-Huda, were in the end imprisoned and tortured to death by the American dog Saddam and the Ba\'ath party in Iraq.
The accusation was that they were working towards an Islamic Revolution in Iraq.
The Leader of the Muslim Ummah, Imam Sayyid Ali Khamenei commemorates their martyrdom in Arabic language and asks some serious questions, such as, why did the so-called human-rights organizations not raise any voice in support of this Shia scholar?
Perhaps it was because of their grudge towards the Islamic Revolution, whether it was to be in Iran or in Iraq.

[AL-QUDS 2013] Speech by Sister Amina Ali - Toronto, Canada - August 2013 - English

Like their counterparts in 770 cities in 80 countries of the world, thousands of Torontonians took to the streets on the International Day of Al-Quds to denounce Zionism and express their complete solidarity with the brutally oppressed, indigenous population of Palestine. The rally in Toronto was led by Jewish rabbis, activists from Independent Jewish Voices and other Jews who want to reclaim the hijacked faith of Judaism from the Zionist extremists. The rally also featured representatives from 150 peace organizations, labor movements, churches, mosques and human rights groups.
The attendees, which comprised of men women and children of all ages and faiths, carried signs like \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"We Love Jews, Not Zionists\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\", \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"Yes to Islam, Christianity and Judaism, No to Zionism\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\", \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"Yes to Torah, Bible and Quran, no to Zionism\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\", \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"Yes to Moses, Jesus and Mohammad, No to Zionism\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\" and \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"Criticism of Israel is Not Anti-Semitism\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\".
Various organizations representing the interests of Israel and settlers in Canada had lobbied hard to stop the rally and tried to intimidate people from attending it, however, their efforts failed miserably and the Toronto city witnessed one of the largest and most organized Al-Quds rallies ever held in the western hemisphere. Some extremists from the radical Zionist organization, JDL, and their Islamophobic hatemongering friends from the Sun News Network tried to harass the attendees but were not successful. The JDL has been designated the terrorist status by the FBI and represents the true face of Zionism and the settler mentality of arrogance, racism and bullying. An anchor of Sun News Network has advocated dropping a nuclear bomb on the civilian population of a Muslim country and their so-called journalists are always shamelessly trying to propagate the Zionist narrative about the indigenous Christians and Muslims of Palestine. However, initiatives like the Al-Quds day have taken the mask off the ugly face of Zionism and today Israel is more isolated in the world than ever before. At the recent UN vote, 174 nations voted against the Israeli position (http://muslimperspectives.com/?p=823, http://muslimperspectives.com/?p=685)
The Al-Quds rally organizers, speakers and participants vowed not to get intimidated by Zionist extremists and refused to allow them to turn Canada into one of the Israeli settlements. The Al-Quds rallies in Toronto and the world will continue to grow in future and peace and justice loving individuals will continue to give voice to the voiceless. The future of Israel will not be, and cannot be different from other oppressive regimes in history; whether it is the regime of the Pharaoh or Apartheid, those who commit heinous crimes against the innocent are bound to be defeated. It is high time that the larger Jewish community distances itself from this racist ideology and reclaim the beautiful faith of Judaism from these extremists.

On December 30th, 2015, activists and concerned Canadians assembled in front of the Nigerian High Commission in Ottawa to protest the mass murder and genocide of innocent Muslims in Zaria, Nigeria.
The rally began with numerous chants condemning the genocide and unjust detention of Shaikh Ibrahim El-Zakzaky. Protesters chanted slogans such as \"Nigerian army and Boko Haram are the same, the only difference is the name.\", \"Long live Zakzaky\", Free free Zakzaky\"
The Spoken word by the youths highlighted the cowardly act of the Nigerian army while the speeches condemn the genocide and demanded immediate release of Shaikh Ibrahim El-Zakzaky. The protesters displayed their fury and anger toward the Nigerian army that on one hand failed to release the abducted girls from Boko Haram while on the other hand were busy killing innocent Muslim\'s citizen.
Protesters young and old stood strong in the harsh weather conditions standing up for the rights of humanity. The protesters endured it all to continue the mission of Truth and Justice in the footstep of Shaikh Ibrahim El-Zakzaky.

Hundreds of Canadians gathered together at the Islamic Society of York Region to honour the great leader who overthrew a dictator and brought about a revolution with the help of the majority of the Iranian nation. Speaking at the conference, world renowned speakers, praised Imam Khomeini\'s awakening of the masses against global injustice. Prior to the revolution, the multi-national corporations were exploiting the natural resources of Iran with the help of a very small and corrupt group of traitors. Any protest against the dictator, Reza Shah Pehalavi, was brutally suppressed by the barbaric forces of Savak, which committed atrocious crimes against the population. After the revolution, Iran has progressed by every measure, including women literacy, scientific growth and division of wealth. For the crime of liberating his country and insisting on Iranian resources to be used for the welfare of the Iranian population, Imam Khomeini bore the wrath of the multi-national corporations, the western media and the selected group of Iranians who were accomplices in the criminal exploitation of the resources and had to run away from the country after the revolution.
Speakers at the conference also spoke about how Imam Khomeini inspired the oppressed masses around the world that started a global movement for dignity and self-determination.

A self-proclaimed feminist organization, which protests for the rights and freedom of women, has turned its topless protests towards Islam.
FEMEN, which has been in the news for its controversial and shocking forms of protests since 2008, recently began its campaign to support Tunisian activist Amina Tyler, a 19-year-old Muslim who spread outrage by posting topless images of herself online with the words \"my body belongs to me\" scrawled on her naked chest.
But FEMEN has not gone unchallenged and Muslim women across the East and West have responded to the outrageous protests with their own opinions on the movement.
Thousand if not millions of Muslim women denounced FEMEN across social media platforms saying \"We Reject FEMEN\'s Islamophobic and Neo-Colonialist Crusade to Save Us\".

Over half a million people are going hungry in Britain. That\\\'s according to the charities Church Action On Poverty and Oxfam. In their joint report: \\\'Walking the Breadline - the Scandal of Food Poverty in 21St Century Britain\\\', the scale of destitution, hardship and hunger are even worse than thought.
One of the biggest worries for anti-poverty campaigners is that food banks are now becoming a \\\'normalized\\\' part of the welfare system. Families and individuals in dire need are forced to accept emergency handouts instead of having the underlying reason for their predicament addressed.
There are also growing concerns that more families in work are unable to make ends meet at the end of the month alongside benefit delays and sanctions adding to their woes. So what would the authors of the report like to see happen to stop more people from sinking into food poverty?

BAE Systems - the UK\'s largest arms manufactures - was the first stop on what would be a fast-paced journey across Central London highlighting the capital\'s ties to the global arms trade. With scores of protestors arrested during Tuesday\'s Stop G8 demos, the police presence was a heavy one. Demonstrators from a coalition of anti-capitalists groups explained why the arms firms provoked their anger. With just days to go before the G8 Summit kicks off in Ireland the capital is the focal point. With the demonstrators taking the media and other protestors on what seemed like a magical mystery tour of locations associated with the arms trade in London.

The reputation of the British army took yet another hit after two members of the military serving in Afghanistan were found guilty of committing offences against the very civilians they are supposed to be protecting. The latest revelations of the British army\'s mistreatment of the people in its care come just a week after Defence Secretary Philip Hammond admitted nearly 90 Afghan prisoners were being held at Camp Bastion - many without due process or access to families and lawyers.
