One of the most famous sermons delivered in the history of Islam in which the grand daughter of the Holy Prophet (s) is brought to face the tyrant Caliph of the time, Yazid, as a captive and prisoner of war. Following the massacre of Imam Hussain (a), his family and companions at Karbala, Yazid went on to parade the family of the Holy Prophet (s) through the various Islamic cities culminating at the center of his power, Damascus. In these extremely hostile conditions, Lady Zaynab delivered a most eloquent sermon with the courage and poise of her father and grandfather in which she spoke to Yazeed with unwavering truth of his vile nature and the efforts of his ancestors that always aimed to extinguish the light of Islam since its dawn. She then magnificiently concludes - after having seen her own family massacred and mutilated - by establishing the blessed end that awaits the patient and virtuous ones.

In His Name, the Most High
Dramatization of the Martyrdom of Zuhayr ibn Qayn(A) one of the heroic companions of Aba Abdillah(A) Imam Husayn(A) on the day of Ashura (Muharram 10, 61AH) against the forces of the despotic tyrant Yazid ibn Muawiyyah headed by Omar ibn Sa'ad and Shimr ibn Dhil Jawshan on the plain of Karbala in Iraq.
This portion shows the night of Ashura when Aba Abdillah(A) removed any obligation to remain from the companions and the candles were blown out. It shows the heroic statements of Zuhayr ibn Qayn(A) to the army of Yazid and in particular to Ibn Sa'ad and Ibn Dhil Jawshan. It shows his fight, and the break he requested for prayers.
It shows that famous prayer of love that imam Husayn(A) led his followers in while a barrage of arrows from the Army of the enemies of Allah fell upon the prayers.
Ultimately it shows the final stand of Zuhayr ibn Qayn(A) against the forces of evil and his ultimate martyrdom.
Video dramatization taken from the excellent Mokhtarnameh produced by Iranian TV and Radio, directed by Davoud Mirbagheri(HA). Subtitled by Shabbir R Hassanally on behalf of Inspire Pictures Limited.
This is a draft workprint, and the subtitles are draft. They are reasonably accurate, but have no been proofed. As it's Muharram it was felt that getting this online with subtitles that conveyed the meaning was a priority.
We ask that Allah hasten the return of our beloved Master(AJ), the grandson of Aba Abdillah(A), al-Hujjat ibn al-Hasan al-Askari(AJ), may our souls be his ransom), and alleviates our suffering. Ameen, Ya Rab al-Alemeen.

Iran is clad in black as people mark the martyrdom of Imam Hossein in a two day national holiday. The Shiites regard the grandson of Prophet Mohammad and their third Imam as the symbol of freedom and courage. The Tasua symbolizes a day when Imam Hossein told his 72 loyal companions that by the next day or the Ashura, they would all be killed in an unequal battle with the huge army of Yazid some 14centuries ago. The Bani Umayyed Caliph was notorious for his oppression against the people.
Iranians call him the Martyr of all Martyrs. Imam Hossein, his children and his brother Abbas were beheaded and his companions killed in the battle which took place in the plains of Karbala. He had already declared that he would sacrifice everything in the line of freedom against the tyranny of Yazid. Men and women, young and old remember their martyr by dressing in black and holding various symbolic mourning ceremonies across Iran. Each tribal group such as the Azaris, Arabs, Lors and Persians has its own way of marking the Tasua and Ashura.
For hundreds of years the love for Imam Hossein has become an inseparable part of the people's lives in Iran. Some people dedicate their houses and all their possessions to be used for serving the mourners of Imam Hossein in Tasua and Ashura.
Giving away free food is also another tradition which is seen across the country during the two days of mourning. To the Iranians Imam Hossein is a school of thought which they feel committed to preserve. They believe that it is through such ceremonies which they can keep his thoughts alive and pass it on to future generations.

After the Martyrdom of Imam Hussain (as) he was not able to enjoy this world as his wife abandoned him for not supporting Imam Hussain(as) and on the other hand he had to spend rest of his life wandering in desert as the men of Ibne Ziyad were always after him for not supporting Yazid at Karbala.

The Caravan of Pride (Mawkeb-ul Abaa) is an eye-opening movie which skilfully portrays the heart wrenching series of events that unfolded after the martyrdom of Imam Hussain. After the massacre which took place on the plains of Karbala, the remaining members of the Family of the Holy Prophet (saw), who were not killed in the war, were taken captive and paraded in a humiliating and degrading fashion from Kufa (Iraq) to Shaam (Syria).
After the Caravan were paraded through the most difficult of conditions, underwent the most excruciating pain and were afflicted with the greatest of torments, they were finally brought to Yazids Palace in Damascus, Syria. It was here, in the very stronghold of Yazid, that the light of Truth pierced through the dark veils of ignorance Satan had thrown over the eyes of the Muslim masses, it was here, under the eternally damned eyes of the tyrant Yazid, that Syeda Zainab, the daughter of the ever victorious Lion of Allah, Ali ibne abi-Talib, delivered a unparalleled, pivotal and crucial sermon which awoke the people of Damascus from their deep slumber of heedlessness and shook the foundation of the Umayyad Dynasty, sending it crumbling to the ground. It was here, that Imam Zain ul-Abideen, in such magnificent words of eloquence, informed the people of Damascus who exactly it was they were oppressing by telling them the relationship he holds with the Holy Prophet, his great grandfather. Thus was the revolution of Imam Hussain completed, a revolution against injustice, a revolution against tyranny, a revolution seeking honour over humiliation, truth over falsehood, courage over fright, righteousness over immorality, knowledge over ignorance, a revolution whose shockwaves continue to resonate thousands of years later, and a revolution, an eternal stand against corruption, which proves to be the source of inspiration for humanity at whole...

What is more painful is that, incidentally, there are few events in history that are as rich as the event of Karbala\\\\\\\' from the viewpoint of reliable sources. Formerly I used to imagine that the basic reason for the proliferation of legends in this field is that the actual events are not known to anybody. But when I studied I found that no event of remote past-for instance of a period thirteen or fourteen centuries ago-has as reliable an history as the event of Karbala\\\\\\\'. Reliable Muslim historians have reported the pertinent episodes with trustworthy chains of transmission from the first/seventh and the second/eighth centuries, and their narrations are close and corroborate one another.
There were certain reasons which were responsible for the preservation of these details in history. One of them, which caused the details of this event to be preserved and its objectives to remain clear, were the many speeches (khutbahs) that were delivered during its course. In those days, an oration was what communiques and press releases are in our era. In the same way that official communiques issued during wartime are the best historical source, so were orations in these days. Accordingly, there were many of them before the event of Karbala\\\\\\\', during, and after it. Individuals from among the Prophet\\\\\\\'s household made orations in Kufah, Damascus and other places. Basically, their aim by delivering these orations was to inform the people about the episodes as well as to declare the truth of the matter and to spell out the goals. This was itself one of the reason for the events to be reported.
There were also many exchanges, questions and answers, in the event of Karbala\\\\\\\' and these are recorded in history. They too disclose for us the nature of the occurrences.
Rajaz poetry was also recited a lot during Karbala\\\\\\\', and, in particular Abu \\\\\\\'Abd Allah (\\\\\\\'a) himself recited much rajaz, and these rajaz verses also reveal the character of the confrontation.
There were many letters that were exchanged before and after the episode of Karbala\\\\\\\', letters that were exchanged between the Imam and the people of Kufah, between the Imam and the people of Basrah, the letters that the Imam wrote earlier to Mu\\\\\\\'awiyah (which indicate that the Imam was preparing for an uprising after Mu\\\\\\\'awiyah\\\\\\\'s death), the letters that the enemies wrote to one another, Yazid to Ibn Ziyad, Ibn Ziyad to Yazid, lbn Ziyad to \\\\\\\'Umar ibn Sa\\\\\\\'d, \\\\\\\'Umar ibn Sa\\\\\\\'d to Ibn Ziyad, whose texts are all recorded in the history of Islam.

Noha Lyrics:
Chorus
Muslims have you forgotten
The daughters of Ali
Dear daughters of Tahera
Granddaughters of Nabi
1
Dragged from Kufa to Shaam, cruelly they were taken
People what happened that, you have forsaken
Family of Rasullulah
Beloved ones of Allah
2
Did you not hear the call of \"Halmin\" on Ashura
You had left and abandoned, the son of Zahra
Tragedy in Nainawa
Please help us ya Allah
3
Your hate and brutality will have caused them pain
Aba Abdillah\'s sacrifice was never in vain
Yazid and Ubaidullah
Incur wrath of Allah
4
The virtue of purity is what they represent
The vice of hypocrisy Ahlul Bayt resent
Yazid has led you astray
People you lost your way
5
Oh Ali look what happened hatred all could see
Daughters without a veil oh how could this be
Sajaad\'s heart in torment
People let us lament
6
Where are all the brave ones, alas they are slain
The cry of the oppressed, echoes on the plains
\"Where are you oh faithful?\"

Episode 4 of the ground-breaking new film following the journey of five students as they make their way to the Holy land of Karbala.
Imam Husayn rises up against Yazid making a heroic stand which highlighted for the world’s Muslims that standing up against tyranny is a sacred duty for humanity.
As the students walk, though exhausted, they remember the tragedy of Karbala and ask themselves the question: had they been alive in the time of Imam Husayn, would they have helped him to stand up against Yazid?
This episode also explores the recent history of Iraq, the American invasion and looks at the “Yazids” of today such as the Wahhabi sect, which has hijacked the true message of Islam to spread corruption in Iraq, and the world at large.
As Alastair Crooke rightly said, “You can’t understand ISIS if you don’t know the history of Wahhabism in Saudi Arabia”
What is it about the ancient city of Karbala that captivates Muslims? What makes approximately 30 million people travel there each year?
The ziarat [pilgrimage] to Karbala is considered a sacred journey for Muslims across the world, especially the followers of Ahlulbayt (as).
Every week, Islamic Pulse will be releasing two episodes of ‘When He Calls’ by the will of God, so stay tuned!

اگر ہم کربلا میں ہوتے تو ! | ڈاکٹر حسن عباسی | Farsi Sub Urdu

Who is Imam Hassan ?
Name : Hasan
Title : Al-Mujtaba
Kunyat : Abul Muhammad
Born : Tuesday, 15th Ramadan 3 AH at Medina
Father\'s Name : Ali ibne abu Talib
Mother\'s Name : Fatima (Daughter of the Holy Prophet)
Died : at the age of 46 years, at Medina, on Thursday, 28th Safar, 50 AH.
Buried - at the cemetery of Jannat-ul-Baqi in Medina
Al-Ḥasan ibn Alī ibn Abī Ṭālib (Arabic: الحسن ابن علي ابن أبي طالب, 624–670 CE), commonly known as Hassan or Hassan, is the eldest son of Ali and Muhammad\'s daughter Fatimah, and is the older brother of Hussain. Muslims respect him as a grandson of the Islamic Prophet Muhammad. Among Shia Muslims, Hasan is revered as the second Imam
The early sources are nearly in agreement that Hasan was poisoned by his wife, Ja\'da bint al-Ash\'at, at the instigation of Muawiyah and died in the year 670 CE. Madelung and Donaldson further relate other versions of this story, suggesting that Al-Hasan may have been poisoned by another wife, the daughter of Suhayl ibn ‘Amr, or perhaps by one of his servants, citing early historians such as Al-Waqidi and Al-Mada\'ini. Madelung believes that the famous early Islamic historian al-Tabari suppressed this tale out of concern for the faith of the common people. Al-Hasan is said to have refused to name his suspect to Al-Husayn, for fear that the wrong person would be killed in revenge. He was 38 years old when he abdicated the reign to Mu‘awiyah, who was 58 years old at the time. This difference in age indicates a serious obstacle for Mu‘awiyah, who wanted to nominate his son Yazid as his heir-apparent. This was unlikely due to the terms on which Al-Hasan had abdicated to Mu‘awiyah; and considering the big difference in age, Mu‘awiyah would not have hoped that Al-Hasan would naturally die before him. Hence, Mu‘awiyah would naturally be suspected of having a hand in a killing that removed an obstacle to the succession of his son Yazid

This program was held on December 2 2007 in mumbai and the video on youtube has been removed from Dr. Zakir Naik lovers where the original id was tctrR6PlMOw. Dr. Zakir Naik supporting Yazeed and sending blessing of Allah on him. Zakir Naik termed the event of Karbala as a mere Political War, What we do not understand however is a fact that nothing is outside of the boundaries of Islam. The facts of Karbala are so evident according to both Sunni and Shia traditions that one would really be very ignorant about the history of islam if one tries to say "may allah be pleased" for Yazid. Also Karabla and every other incident falls under some islamic pretext even if you consider it falsely as a mere political war.
