Students should have the right to wear religious attire such as veils in colleges and universities.
Leaders of university and college unions have pledge their support for the rights of people of all faiths to wear the religious headdress and other religious attire appropriate to their faiths. The union argues that the move is essential to encourage participation and further higher education among ethnic minority groups, particularly women. In this edition of the show we ask the following question; how will banning religious clothing discourage diversity in higher education?

French lawmakers approve burqa ban
French lawmakers have ratified a legislation to prohibit women from wearing face-covering veils despite right activist saying such a law violates personal and religious freedoms.
The Senate voted 246 to 1 in favor of the bill, which has already cleared the lower chamber, the National Assembly, reported AFP.
The law will come into effect if the Constitutional Council does not question its legality.
Muslims argue that the legislation is going to discriminates against France's Muslim population, which is already facing rising level of Islamophobia.
Once in place, the law will allow authorities to arrest and fine those women who defy the ban.
A woman who continues wearing veils will receive a fine of EUR 150 (USD 195) or a course of citizenship lessons. A man who forces a woman to go veiled will be fined EUR 30,000 and imprisonment.
France is home to the largest Muslim population among the 27 European Union member states. Nearly 10 percent of the 62 million people living in French is Muslim.
In June, members of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) unanimously voted against any general ban against burqa or niqab in Europe, saying Muslim women should be free to choose their clothing.

I "Light Within Me" säger han: "Enligt rapporter läste alla Imamer(A) Munajat Shabaniyyah.
Munajat Shabaniyyah is an intense and very spiritual prayer, written by Imam Ali (A), which is recommended to read all of each day during the holy month of Shabaan but also for the rest of the year. This is a prayer which is one of the favorites among the Islamic mystics (Urefa) and read through the whole year.
Ayatollah al-Udhma Behjat (RA) used to say: "Read this prayer when you feel like it yet." This prayer also had a special place of Imam Khomeini (RA) hearts. He has commented on the prayer many times in various ways to illustrate just how big it is. The "Light Within Me", he says: "According to reports, read all the Imams (A) Munajat Shabaniyyah. I have not read anywhere else on any other prayer or invocation, which was read by all the Imams (A)".
He would finish his lectures and classes he held on to quote the following section where prayer may reach its climax in terms of spiritual love, ecstasy and divine closeness: "My Lord, grant me complete detachment from everything but Thee, and total submission to You. Advise my eyes with the light of heart to see you to such an extent that it penetrates the veils of light and reaches the public's Great Source, and let my soul be drowned in honor of your

The Caravan of Pride (Mawkeb-ul Abaa) is an eye-opening movie which skilfully portrays the heart wrenching series of events that unfolded after the martyrdom of Imam Hussain. After the massacre which took place on the plains of Karbala, the remaining members of the Family of the Holy Prophet (saw), who were not killed in the war, were taken captive and paraded in a humiliating and degrading fashion from Kufa (Iraq) to Shaam (Syria).
After the Caravan were paraded through the most difficult of conditions, underwent the most excruciating pain and were afflicted with the greatest of torments, they were finally brought to Yazids Palace in Damascus, Syria. It was here, in the very stronghold of Yazid, that the light of Truth pierced through the dark veils of ignorance Satan had thrown over the eyes of the Muslim masses, it was here, under the eternally damned eyes of the tyrant Yazid, that Syeda Zainab, the daughter of the ever victorious Lion of Allah, Ali ibne abi-Talib, delivered a unparalleled, pivotal and crucial sermon which awoke the people of Damascus from their deep slumber of heedlessness and shook the foundation of the Umayyad Dynasty, sending it crumbling to the ground. It was here, that Imam Zain ul-Abideen, in such magnificent words of eloquence, informed the people of Damascus who exactly it was they were oppressing by telling them the relationship he holds with the Holy Prophet, his great grandfather. Thus was the revolution of Imam Hussain completed, a revolution against injustice, a revolution against tyranny, a revolution seeking honour over humiliation, truth over falsehood, courage over fright, righteousness over immorality, knowledge over ignorance, a revolution whose shockwaves continue to resonate thousands of years later, and a revolution, an eternal stand against corruption, which proves to be the source of inspiration for humanity at whole...

Finally revealed: The truth about living in the West. Shaykh Farukh Sekaleshfar talks on the spiritual secrets of the Islamic Revolution. What does it mean to attain true freedom? Are you a Slave to a Taghuti System in the West? The Revolutionaries are celebrating the 22nd of Bahman - the 41st anniversary of the Islamic Revolution paving the way towards the global uprising of Imam Mahdi (A)… but what does this mean for those living in non-Islamic environments, particularly in the West? Shaykh explains using Quran how you cannot live comfortably under Taghuti (tyrannical) systems like in the West. But what if you were born in the West? What about being an “ambassador to Islam” in the West? Is integrating into the Taghuti system problematic?

Juz 20 of 30 | Journeying our eyes through the Quran | Sister Fatemah Meghji | English

The 20th Juz consists of Surat an-Naml (last 37 verses, The Ant), Surat al-Qasas (88 verses, The Stories) and Surat al-Ankabut (first 45 verses The Spider). The discussion in these suras explore the barriers/veils that prevent one from allowing the Quranic guidance to permeate their hearts. God clearly states that only those who believe in God’s signs, are open-hearted and have submitted, even partially, to the truth will be able to perceive the guidance offered by the Quran. Those who insist on rejecting the truth, and are arrogant, will be like the ‘deaf or dead who can’t hear’ because they lack intellectual humility and intentionally don’t want to listen to the message of God. Suratul Qasas relates the story of Prophet Musa, and includes the story of Qarun, who despite his knowledge and wealth, lacked humility, believing he ‘deserved’ God’s blessings. Pharoah and Haman are also mentioned in the same vein, and their arrogance led them to punishment and destruction. The reference to the spider’s web, giving Sura Ankabut its name, describes how such people’s base is like the frailest of homes, that of a spider, while the hold of God is the strongest. The Juz ends with God’s promise that those who strive in God’s way, will attain guidance.

\"Reach the Peak\" as we delve deeply into the beautiful pages of Nahjul Balagha and the wise words of the Commander of the Faithful, the first divinely appointed Imam, Imam Ali ibne Abi Talib (A).
In this episode, Sayyid Amir Behbahani speaks to us about \"Every Deed Will Be Presented To You\".
What does Imam Ali (A) say in the last part of Hikmah number 6 found in Nahjul Balagha?
And what does Imam Ali (A) say about the actions that we commit in this life?
And how is verse number 30 of Chapter Ale Imran related to this discussion?
And how are verses number 7 and 8 of Surah Zilzal, also known as Zalzala related to our discussion?
When will the veils from our eyes be definitely removed?
And what does the Messenger of Allah (S) say about the first angel that we will meet after death?
How is verse number 13 of Surah al-Israa related to this discussion?
And what is an overall summary of Hikmah number 6, found in Nahjul Balagha?
Finally, why is it said that \"Every Deed Will Be Presented To You\"?
If you ultimately want to \"Reach the Peak\", you\'re going to have to take the first step - wherever you are!
