Large numbers of Ba’ath Party members and supporters rallied across several Syrian cities marking the 65th anniversary of the Party’s establishment. In the capital Damascus, supporters packed into Saba’ Bahrat square, showing their support for the Ba’ath Party and the president Bashar al-Assad.
Syrians waved the Syrian flag and sang national anthem in a show of unity against what they described as a conspiracy targeting their country.
Syrians reiterated their adherence to the Ba'ath Party principles, including supporting the Palestinian cause and resisting the Israeli occupation.
The Ba’ath Party was the only ruling party in Syria for decades.
Nevertheless, Syrians in a referendum in February voted for a new constitution which allowed a multiparty system in the country and political pluralism which gave all political parties the right to share power.
Supporters have gathered to renew adherence to their party led by president Bashar al-Assad, expressing confidence in the party’s ability to build a new Syria stronger than before.

[10 Aug 2012] Syrian refugees flee to Lebanon - English
Since the outburst of subversive activities by the western foreign backed groups in Syria, over 115,000 Syrian Nationals have reportedly fled their country seeking refuge in neighboring countries. Though officials say the number of registered refugees doesn't count those who have blended in, thus the number is not accurate. Refugees who have come to Lebanon are currently staying at crowded public schools or have set up tents in regions along the borders with Syria.

"Syria the First Line of Resistance", This is the title of a conference held in Tehran. The aim of the conference is to increase public awareness about what is going on in Syria, the scene of fighting between government forces and the opposition groups supported by the West, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Turkey.
Russian and China have so far vetoed three western-backed resolutions against Syria.

They are holding Syrian and Ukrainian flags, which symbolize solidarity between the two nations.
This peaceful gathering in Ukraine\'s capital Kiev speaks against terrorism in Syria, which protesters say, is sponsored by some Arab and Western governments.
Ukraine has been supporting the Syrian government since the unrest began in March 2011 in the Arab nation. These people say they feel free to protest here as Ukraine is against any foreign military intervention, especially if it claims thousands of lives.

Syrian army forces have cleared the strategic border city of Qusayr of foreign-backed militants after two weeks of fierce fighting. For the militants, losing Qussayr meant a cut off in supply lines of weapons and arms. But for the Syrian government, the city has been a strategic location.
As international efforts are underway to fashion a political solution to end the crisis in Syria, the army is gaining the upper hand in its fight against the militants after retaking the strategic city of Qusayr. Elian el-Khamissi reports from Beirut.

The chaos in Syria just continues to get more confusing. As the Syrian military continue to gain ground, the insurgents not only continue to fight the military, but are now are turning their guns on each other.
The power struggle continues between the western, Turkish and Arab backed insurgents. Even one of the commanders of the so-called Free Syrian Army (FSA) was killed by other insurgents, which seems to be the trademarks of a group which Russian President Vladimir Putin referred to as organ eaters.
So are these the representatives of human rights that Washington and its Arab allies and the Turks are pushing for taking over Syria?
