Hundreds of protesters marched in Toronto, in support of those fighting for freedom and justice in Libya and other Arab countries. While Moamar Ghadaffi continues his reign of terror, many Libyan-Canadians worry about their families back home.
The popular uprisings have spanned across the Middle East and North Africa, where Libya's has been the most brutal.
Toronto's rally has been organized by the youth and even the youngest of protestors are calling for Ghadafi's ouster.

Why would the Western Powers and specifically, America, support the terrorists and violent rioters in Iran?
What was the 1953 coup d\'état all about and who all was involved in this coup d\'état?
Did the animosity of the West increase or decrease after the 1979 Islamic Revolution in Iran?
How did the recent rioters after Ms. Mahsa Amini\'s death, play in the plans of the Western Powers that supported them?
Are the Western Powers merely in opposition to a strong Islamic Republic, or are they also against a \'Strong Iran\'?
What is the major hurdle for the hegemonic powers of the world in implementing their schemes in the West Asian region?
And is the instigation and inciting of violent riots by the hegemonic powers limited to just the Islamic Republic of Iran, or can it be seen in other parts of the world as well?
What is the overall approach of the hegemonic powers, vis-Ă -vis the nations that they want to have control over?
And have these Western Powers that supported the violent rioters in the Islamic Republic, ever supported violent rioters in other Western countries such as the rioters in France?
And do these Western Powers ever give violent rioters in countries other than the Islamic Republic, the mass media coverage that was given to the violent rioters in Iran?
And does it make sense for the mass media to totally ignore all the other massive problems of the world and merely focus on the riots in the Islamic Republic of Iran?
What is it about the Islamic Republic of Iran that has attracted the enmity of the Western hegemonic powers of the world, where they would stoop to the low of supporting violent rioters?
What is the \'I can pat you on the back or punch you in the face\' policy of the Western hegemonic powers of the world?
And what is the \'we were able to do it, so can you\' policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran?
What is the correct term \'Middle East\' or \'West Asia\', and why is one correct and the other incorrect?
And finally, what is the truth as far as \"Why Would America Support Iranian Rioters?\"
To answers these questions and more, we humbly invited Shaykh Ali Qomi from the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, to sit down with us and explain for us, \"Why Would America Support Iranian Rioters?\"

Just days before the national day of Hijab and Modesty, hundreds of Iranians took to the streets of Tehran and other cities to throw their weight behind a nationwide move to confront un-Islamic dress or bad Hijab.
Chanting such slogans as, âHijab saves family and societyâ the demonstrators urged the government to protect the Islamic law.
In the past few years Iran has established a moral police unit, which has been assigned to confront those, who fail to uphold Islamic dress code especially in the summertime; the moral security police caution those who do not observe Islamic dress code properly, both women and men.
Islam, like other religions, believes that personal freedom in this field should be exercised in a controlled way, since unrestrained freedom creates chaos, especially in family relations.
The demonstrators believe that family and school play a key role in promoting the culture of Hijab in the society, and this is not possible unless the government and the nation work hand in hand.

đ Sayyed Nasrallah: Prophet Muhammad [PBUH] has a vital miracle that will remain until the day of resurrection, which is witnessed in all times; it is the holy book that Allah has sent him, the Holy Quran.
đ Sayyed Nasrallah: The survival of this holy book in this accurate manner is a miracle in itself despite all reasons to distort it.
đ Sayyed Nasrallah: The most notable achievement of Prophet Muhammad [PBUH] is the humanitarian achievement he made in the deep and huge transformation of the Arabian Peninsula community.
đ Sayyed Nasrallah: All Muslims respect, sanctify, and appreciate this great prophet unlike any other human, though they love and appreciate all other prophets.
đ Sayyed Nasrallah: Among the most important social points for Muslims is that they believe in the rank and the greatness of Prophet Muhammad [PBUH], and they view him as the most complete human and the closest creature to Allah the almighty.
đ Sayyed Nasrallah: Muslims could never tolerate any insult or humiliation directed at the great prophet, and they consider defending the dignity of their prophet among the top priorities that is above all other interests and calculations.
đ Sayyed Nasrallah: The Nice incident is strongly condemned and rejected by Islam, the religion that forbids killing or attacking civilians. All similar attacks are rejected in the first place from Islam\'s viewpoint.
đ Sayyed Nasrallah: Neither the French authorities nor others are permitted to hold responsible the religion or the community of the religion to which the perpetrator belongs.
đ Sayyed Nasrallah: If a Christian man commits such a crime, which happened indeed in France, is it right to say that all world\'s Christians are responsible for this crime?
đ Sayyed Nasrallah: The US today commits crimes all over the world, and they admit the killing of thousands in such wars. Did any Muslim accuse Christians of those crimes just because the US President is Christian?
đ Sayyed Nasrallah: Respecting Islam as a religion requires not using the terms of \"Islamic terrorism\" and \"Islamic fascism\"
đ Sayyed Nasrallah: If some Muslims offended Islam it doesn\'t give the right to any other side to offend it too.
đ Sayyed Nasrallah: The Takfiri terrorist ideology, which adopted killing just for ideological differences in our region, was protected by the West.
đ Sayyed Nasrallah: The West has, in the first place, to look for its responsibility for Takfiri groups.
đ Sayyed Nasrallah: The US administration and the European governments supported and funded Takfiri groups in Syria and Iraq.
đ Sayyed Nasrallah: Prophet Muhammad [PBUH] and the Muslim nation have nothing to do with the crimes committed by the Takfiri groups.
đ Sayyed Nasrallah: The Americans and the Europeans should reassess their behavior of using terrorists as tools in their political schemes and wars.
đ Sayyed Nasrallah: Using such kind of tools must stop, otherwise you [the US and the West] will pay the prices for those mistakes.
đ Sayyed Nasrallah: The crisis began when the French magazine published cartoons insulting Prophet Muhammad [PBUH], & the French authorities, instead of dealing with the issue, started a war of this kind & insisted to continue publishing such sarcastic cartoons.
đ Sayyed Nasrallah: Instead of dealing with the repercussions, the French authorities should deal with the reasons. We have many evidences that they suppressed the freedom of expression in less sensitive issues that insulting the Prophet.
đ Sayyed Nasrallah: Instead of dealing with the repercussions, the French authorities should deal with the reasons. We have many evidences that they suppressed the freedom of expression in less sensitive issues that insulting the Prophet.
đ Sayyed Nasrallah: Freedom of expression in France and Europe is not absolute, it is rather restricted with security and political considerations. When it comes to \'Israel\', this freedom stops in France, and the examples are many. Why does it stop when it comes to anti-Semitism?
đ Sayyed Nasrallah: We demand reassessing the concept of the freedom of expression, especially when it harms dignities. The French authorities should deal with this grave mistake.
đ Sayyed Nasrallah addressing French authorities: Do not allow the progress of this aggression, violation and sarcasm. Offending the dignities of our Prophets is not accepted by any Muslim in the world.
đ Sayyed Nasrallah: The Arab regimes that normalize with \'Israel\' can not remain silent and cover such offense against the sacred prophet for their people.
đ Sayyed Nasrallah to the French authorities: You will lose this battle that you insist to continue. Where are France\'s interests in its relations with the Muslim world if it wants to continue in this situation?
đ Sayyed Nasrallah: The responsibility for dealing with what happened in France is related to the French authorities\' performance.
đ Sayyed Nasrallah hailed the strong significances of the Yemenis\' presence in defending the Prophet [PBUH] despite all difficulties: Despite the siege and war in Yemen, we find the Yemeni people assemble to celebrate the Prophet\'s birth anniversary.
đ Sayyed Nasrallah: Muslims and the world should read yesterday\'s scene in Yemen with fidelity and religious background. And a major movement must be formed in the Arab world to press for ending this brutal war against Yemen. It is the least of our duties.
đ Sayyed Nasrallah: The most significant thing Muslims would present today to Prophet Muhammad [PBUH] is to support the Yemeni people.
đ Sayyed Nasrallah: We can not continue with a caretaker government. Hezbollah\'s information say that the cabinet formation circumstances are good and acceptable. We will cooperate and facilitate the formation. Time now is not for internal problems.
đ Sayyed Nasrallah: I repeat and recall that leniency in the battle with the Coronavirus is unethical, inhumane and illegitimate. The responsibility for fighting the Coronavirus belongs to everybody; the government and people, not the Health Ministry alone.

Freedom of speech became under attack in the United States Wednesday when New York cops arrested the American writer and human rights activist Mona El-Tahawy because it sprayed the pro-Zionist and offensive poster against Islam pasted in New York subway stations.
âIâm expressing myself freely against hate and racism,â she told an anti-Islam activist while trying to prevent her from spraying the offensive poster.
Anti-Islam posters campaign was launched Tuesday in New York metro, describing Muslims as \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"savages\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\" and Zionists as âcivilized.â
New York Times posted Wednesday a video showing the arrest of Tahawy, 45. She is active in womenâs rights and a commentator in the US New York Times and Washington Post dailies, alongside the Zionist Jerusalem Post newspaper.
Anti-Islam poster in New York subway stationsâIn any war between the civilized man and the savage, support the civilized man,â the offensive poster read.
It concludes with the words, âSupport Israel. Defeat Jihad,â wedged between two Stars of David.
The city council first rejected the ads would be publicly displayed given reasons that the adâs language was âdemeaningâ.
But after losing a federal court ruling on First Amendment grounds, the MTA said the ads were expected to appear next week at 10 subway stations.
âOur hands are tied,â said Aaron Donovan, a spokesman for the authority.
Tahawy has repeatedly rejected in public violent practices committed by some groups under the banner of Islam and Muslims.

What does Imam Sayyid Ali Khamenei say about the International Day of al-Quds?
Who is the founder of the International Al-Quds Day and thus is it limited to just the Shia?
What does al-Quds Day stand for and thus is it limited to just Muslims?
Should you commemorate the International al-Quds Day if you have a small community; or can you commemorate it even as an individual or small group?
And what can one do in support of the International al-Quds via the social media?
And what are some other examples of oppression that have occurred in history which is similar to that of Palestine?
What is the stance of some Rabbis, Orthodox Jews, the Neturei Karta, and even Secular Jews when it comes to Zionism and the state of israel?
Finally, what is our duty when it comes to the International al-Quds Day?
In order to answer these questions and more, we invited Shaykh Muzaffer Hyder from the United Kingdom, to sit down with us and discuss the International al-Quds Day; A Day for Humanity.

Palestinians also joined their Egyptian friends in support of change in the Middle East
Ahmed Fadhi Sot: The people have spoken. Game over for Mubarak. Its time for new era.
Ahmed Fadhi is the Chairman of the Alliance of Egyptian American Association and helped organize this protest in support of the peaceful protests in Egypt.
Ahmed fadhi Sot: Mubarak regime was a Police State. Unfortunately the US government have supported this regime with billions of dollars and now its time for him to leave..
As Egypt's military has been deployed to the streets to break-up protests, the US State Department has issued a travel warning for those wishing to visit Egypt.
US Secretary of State Hilary Clinton has also weighed in with the official position to the events unfolding.
Hilary Clinton SOT: As we have repeatedly said, we support the universal human rights of the Egyptian people including the right to freedom of expression, association, and of assembly. Saudi Ayatollah Nimr Al-Nimr Dares Saudi Regime to Attack Iran and Declares: We Are Loyal to Allah, Not to Saudi Arabia or its Royal Family
Following are excerpts from a Friday sermon delivered by Saudi Ayatollah Nimr Al-Nimr, which was posted on the Internet on October 7, 2011.
Nimr Baqir Al-Nimr is from the city of Awwamiyah in the eastern part of Saudi Arabia. He is an outspoken Shia cleric known for his criticism of the Saudi government and his constant call for freedom of religion, equality, and justice for the Shia minority in Saudi Arabia. In 2009, Al-Nimr said that the dignity of the Saudi Shia is more precious than the unity of the land, and suggested that Saudi Shia might secede from Saudi Arabia. Fearing arrest, Al-Nimr currently is in hiding.
Nimr Al-Nimr: ĂąïżœïżœFor the past 100 years, we have been subjected to oppression, injustice, fear, and intimidation. From the moment you are born, you are surrounded by fear, intimidation, persecution, and abuse. We were born into an atmosphere of intimidation. We feared even the walls. Who among us is not familiar with the intimidation and injustice to which we have been subjected in this country? I am 55 years old, more than half a century. From the day I was born and to this day, IĂąïżœïżœve never felt safe or secure in this country.
ĂąïżœïżœYou are always being accused of something. You are always under threat. The head of the State Security Service admitted this to me in person. He said to me when I was arrested: ĂąïżœïżœAll you ShiĂąïżœïżœites should be killed.Ăąïżœïżœ That is their logic. The head of the State Security Service in the Eastern Province said so himself. [...]
ĂąïżœïżœThey are still plotting to carry out a massacre. They are more than welcome. We are here. Our blood is a small price to pay in defense of our values. We do not fear death. We long for martyrdom. [...]
ĂąïżœïżœA few months ago, the flame of honor was sparked in the spirits of the youth. The torch of freedom was lit. The people took to the streets demanding reform, honor, and freedom. There are people who have been held in prison unjustly for more than 16 years. In addition, the Peninsula Shield Force and the Saudi army invaded Bahrain. Then there were more and more arrests.
ĂąïżœïżœSo who was it who instigated strife and unrest? [...]
ĂąïżœïżœThe strife and unrest in Awwamiya were instigated by the regime, not the people. [...]
ĂąïżœïżœWe will continue to defend both the veteran and the new prisoners. We will stand by them. We donĂąïżœïżœt mind being arrested, and joining them. We donĂąïżœïżœt even mind shedding our blood for their sake. We will continue to express even stronger solidarity with Bahrain. It is our own kin in Bahrain. Even if the Saudi army and the Peninsula Shield Force had not intervened, it still would have been our duty to stand by the people of Bahrain, our kin, let alone when the Saudi army takes part in oppression, the killing, the violation of womenĂąïżœïżœs honor, and the plundering of money. [...]
Ăąïżœïżœ[The Saudi regime says] that we are acting Ăąïżœïżœat the behest of a foreign country.Ăąïżœïżœ They use that false pretext. By Ăąïżœïżœforeign countryĂąïżœïżœ they mean Iran, of course. You canĂąïżœïżœt really tell if itĂąïżœïżœs Iran, Turkey, a European country, or the U.S., but they usually mean Iran. In December 1978, there was an Intifada to defend the honor of Awwamiya, when the riot police attacked the town. This was on December 10, 1978, before the Shah was deposed, before the Islamic Republic of Iran was even established.
ĂąïżœïżœIt was in 1978 Ăąïżœïżœ four months before the fall of the Shah. A group of people convened to perform the religious rite of taziyeh for Imam Hussein. It had nothing to do with political or security matters, but the security forces arrived and attacked them, and a confrontation ensued. People were defending themselves, as well as their faith and their honor. That night, they arrested 100 people. This was in December 1978, prior to the fall of the Iranian [Shah].
A self-proclaimed feminist organization, which protests for the rights and freedom of women, has turned its topless protests towards Islam.
FEMEN, which has been in the news for its controversial and shocking forms of protests since 2008, recently began its campaign to support Tunisian activist Amina Tyler, a 19-year-old Muslim who spread outrage by posting topless images of herself online with the words \"my body belongs to me\" scrawled on her naked chest.
But FEMEN has not gone unchallenged and Muslim women across the East and West have responded to the outrageous protests with their own opinions on the movement.
Thousand if not millions of Muslim women denounced FEMEN across social media platforms saying \"We Reject FEMEN\'s Islamophobic and Neo-Colonialist Crusade to Save Us\".

Video available upon request: email press [dot] moa [at] gmail [dot] com
The speech of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to the American-Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) was interrupted repeatedly by protesters opposed to Israelâs treatment of Palestinians. The activists are from the Move Over AIPAC coalition led by CODEPINK: Women for Peace.
The protesters, 5 in all, rose one by one, unfurled banners, and chanted slogans. In response to Netanyahuâs claim that returning to the 1967 borders would be âindefensible,â activists called out that various aspects of Israelâs policy are indefensible. They were escorted out by security, but not before they made a highly visible protest against the theft of Palestinian land, the siege of Gaza, denial of the rights of Palestinian refugees, silencing dissent, and destruction of homes and schools.
âGrowing up as the son of Holocaust survivor, I learned that it is everyoneâs job to stand up for others when they are persecuted, and I learned what happens when we donât defend humanity. Now, it is my job to stand up in support of Palestinians, saying, âbombing schools is indefensible, bulldozing homes is indefensible, ââ said Jewish American protester Rick Colbath-Hess, 53 from Cambridge, Massachusetts.
âAs a young Jewish person it is important for me to stand up today and tell Netanyahu and AIPAC that their voices do not represent me,â said Ariel Vegosen, 30, from Valley Stream, New York, âI will not allow my faith to be misused as a weapon, covering up the theft of Palestiniansâ homes and livelihoods. Judaism teaches me to stand up when I see oppressionâ discrimination is not a Jewish value and does not make Israel safer. Occupying Palestinian land is indefensible.â
Bruce Taub, 71, from Massachusetts and associated with American Jews for a Just Peace, was another protester. âAs a Jewish man, I come from a people who have been scattered about the world without losing their identity. I will not sit by and allow Palestinian refugees to be denied their rights and peoplehood in a country that would allow me to become a citizen even though I have no ties there. Displacing refugees is indefensible.â said Taub, 71.
Chelsea Byers, 21 year old college student from Arizona who is an intern with CODEPINK, said âI am protesting AIPAC and Netanyahu because I am disappointed and enraged that the US supports human rights violations by Israel. This includes killing, injuring, and locking up nonviolent protesters fighting for the same human rights I am. I am appalled that $3 billion US tax dollars goes to fund the perpetuation of violence instead of building a more sustainable future. Silencing dissent is indefensible.â
âIn a mere three weeks, Israel killed 1400 Gazans, and since the siege on Gaza began , thousands have died from being denied access to health-care, drinkable water, bodily security and humanity,â stated Sasha Gelzin of Washington D.C. âSince Palestinians canât confront Netanyahu and remind him of their daily condition, we are doing that tonight. Starving Gaza is indefensible; dropping white phosphorous bombs is indefensible. â
This action is part of a week-long set of actions protesting the pro-Israel lobby group AIPAC and its unconditional support for Israel. Tomorrow, activists will be in the halls of Congress during PM Netanyahuâs speech. To read more about Move Over AIPAC events, visit the website at www.MoveOverAIPAC.org.

An analyst tells Press TV that the international community, especially the United States has been backing the wrong horse; here they have been backing al Khalifa family, the one who has been killing and torturing. Anti-regime protests have been held in several cities across Bahrain as the Al Khalifa regime continues its crackdown on peaceful demonstrations in the country.
Bahrain has been gripped by anti-regime demonstrations since February 2011. The Manama regime has been crushing the protests using harsh security tactics that have so far killed dozens of people and injured many more. Many protesters have also been imprisoned since the beginning of the demonstrations last year.
Press TV has conducted an interview with Kamel Wazne to further discuss the issue of Bahrain demonstrations.

The current Ukraine crisis has taken the world by storm and some, by surprise. With the barrage of mainstream media excerpts being surreptitiously popularized through platforms like Twitter, YouTube, and Facebook, many are being deceived into keyboard-bashing their support for Ukraine and perpetuating the false notion that Putin is the new Hitler with WWIII on the horizon. Many are raising their voices in protest against Russia, yet the shameful crocodile tears of the Western elite are reflected in their silence over Yemen, Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Palestine and the nations enduring great oppression at the hands of the USA, its stooges, and its employees.
Shaykh Muzaffer Abbas Hyder from the UK highlights some of the important - and often overlooked - facts surrounding the Ukraine crisis. Who is behind the manufacturing of this conflict? Are the hypocritical Western powers justified in their usage of political jargon like, âNazisâ, âFascismâ and âDictatorâ? Why is it that Russian millionaires are branded as âoligarchsâ while American billionaires are celebrated by the common public? And, most importantly, what should be done by truth-seekers, Revolutionaries and freedom-loving people across the globe?

Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei says the Islamic world has been awakened and is on alert about Palestine.
\\\\\\\"Today, the Islamic world is becoming more sensitive and motivated about the Palestinian issue in comparison to 60 years ago when the enormous catastrophe occurred,\\\\\\\" Ayatollah Khamenei said Wednesday while addressing crowds of Iranians after Eid ul-Fitr prayer, which marks end of the holy month of Ramadan.
\\\\\\\"The resistance of the brave Palestinian people is one of the most important factors behind the world\\\\\\\'s support for them. Palestinians have proved that they deserve to be called a vital Muslim nation,\\\\\\\" the Leader added.
The Leader continued, \\\\\\\"We told the Palestinian people and their legal government, as well as Hamas leaders and Palestinian Prime Minister Ismail Haniya, that the Iranian nation will not desert you.\\\\\\\"
\\\\\\\"On the contrary, the Zionist enemy weakens day by day. This is an issue that even senior Zionists admit,\\\\\\\" Ayatollah Khamenei said.
The Leader added that the Islamic world faces an all-out political and cultural invasion, saying, \\\\\\\"This does not mean that enemies have become stronger. Rather it means that they sense their weakness and are resorting to different strategies.\\\\\\\"
The Leader called on Muslims across the world to maintain their unity and to not allow enemies to cause strife between Shia and Sunni.
Ayatollah Khamenei pointed out the great achievements of the Iranian nation and said, \\\\\\\"Iranians are taking major steps toward progress. Their achievements belong to all Muslims.\\\\\\\"
The Leader stressed that Iranians from all walks of life, including senior political officials, should strengthen their unity and strive for the national interests of the country.

Pro-democracy protest held in Bahrain
Amid increasing pressure on Shias in Bahrain, hundreds of people have staged a rally in Manama to protest Saudi Arabia's support for the latest crackdown on the majority group.
In a pro-democracy movement, protesters reportedly blocked a road connecting Bahrain to Saudi Arabia, stopping hundreds of cars by setting tires on fire on the King Fahd Bridge.
Security officials said that at least four vehicles were damaged in an explosion in the capital city of Manama.
A Bahraini pro-democracy leader based in London, Saeed Shehabi, told Press TV that nearly all useful internet websites in the country had been shut down by the government in an attempt to prevent the spread of news about the situation in the Arab state.
The crackdown on protesters will not prevent further mass demonstrations from those seeking democracy in Bahrain, Shehabi said.
Bahrain's Sunni-dominated government has arrested more than 250 Shias since August, accusing 23 of them of plotting a coup and inciting "violence, rioting and terrorism."
The population of Bahrain is predominantly Shia. However, the majority group has long complained of being discriminated against by the Bahraini government in obtaining jobs and receiving services.
The Shia opposition refuses to recognize the 2002 constitution and has called for a boycott of the October 23 parliamentary elections.
Meanwhile, human rights groups have voiced concern about the situation, urging Bahrain to investigate allegations by some opposition activists that they were tortured while in detention.
Bahrain's Shia Muslims say their rights are being restricted by Sunni rulers and they have been discriminated by ruling elites for years.
The 70 percent Shia population of Bahrain say that authorities in Manama are granting citizenship to thousands of Sunni foreigners to counterbalance the population in the Shia-majority state.
While prominent Shia clerics have been preaching religious harmony and promoting brotherhood, Shia activists have warned the government of sectarian strife should it continue with its discriminatory policies in the Persian Gulf State
