Jesus, Son of Mary, a Great Prophet in Islam
Muslims believe in Jesus as a Prophet and believe that his birth is a miracle. Indeed the Prophet Mohammed commended a unprecedented praise upon Jesus as a Prophet of Islam. Muslims believe Jesus, son of Mary, will return to earth to bring about justice and truth, before the hour and the end of life in this world. The Qur\'an describes Jesus as the Word of God which was delivered to Mary, daughter of Imran. The Qur\'an states that Jesus preached to all of mankind and that God created him as he did Adam, without a father, and that his mother Mary was chosen by God for the miracle birth of Jesus. Jesus was chosen by the Lord to be a Prophet of his people, and supported many miracles such as the of the revival of the dead, with the permission of God, amongst others.
Revealed to him was the Gospel, and he was supported by numerous miracles from God: The first was that he was born of a mother without a father, and he spoke in the cradle, and that he healed the sick, and created birds from clay, all with the permission of God. Jesus, Son of Mary, as not crucified nor killed, but was raised to God.
That is why Muslims respect Jesus [ peace be upon him] and see themselves as the people closest to him and the first believers in his authority as a Prophet.

The Qur'an describes Jesus as the Word of God which was delivered to Mary, daughter of Imran. The Qur'an states that Jesus preached to all of mankind and that God created him as he did Adam, without a father, and that his mother Mary was chosen by God for the miracle birth of Jesus.

[14 May 2012] Palestinian prisoners continue hunger strike - Middle East Today - English
An estimated 1,600 to 2,000 Palestinian prisoners began an open-ended hunger strike on April 17. They do this to protest against Israel's administrative detention rules, the use of solitary confinement, maltreatment of sick detainees, and difficulty in securing family visits and strip searches that are imposed on visitors.
Hamas Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh calls on Israel to release Palestinian prisoners on hunger strike to protest their detention. Arab League permanent representatives held an urgent meeting in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, to discuss the situation of Palestinian prisoners and hunger-strikers in Israeli jails

[12 Aug 2012] Muslims in Iran mark last night of honor - English
Prayers and invocations at the last Latlat ul-Qadr or the night of honor; a night sacred to all Muslims.
In the Islamic culture the word Qadr is equal to honor and dignity. Every year during the 19th, 21st, and 23rd of the holy month of Ramadan in the Islamic Lunar calendar Muslims stay awake and pray through out the entire night.
The ceremony known as Ehya is a chance for them to pray and ask for God's blessing. Iranians mark these nights by gathering in mosques; they pray for the sick and those in need as well as their loved ones.

The Folding Egg activity is actually an extension of the classic Rubber Egg experiment with a really fun twist. Just imagine the look on your friends\' faces when you show them an egg and then proceed to fold it in half several times until it forms a small white ball! Wait... it gets better. Just bounce the \"folded egg\" between your hands and the egg reappear.
How does it work?
The acetic acid in the vinegar breaks down the calcium carbonate in the eggshell, and the bubbles that form on the surface of the egg are carbon dioxide gas. Eventually the hard shell of the egg disappears entirely and all that remains is the egg membrane. Because you have already blown out the contents of the egg, the membrane is just full of air. You can fold it up and the air will sneak out the tiny hole in the membrane you used to blow out the egg. The membrane will compress down into practically nothing. As you gently shake the \"folded egg,\" the air will re-enter the membrane, expanding back into its original shape and volume.

Pingu is painting a picture while his mom is ironing clothes, but then the telephone rings and Pinga answers the phone, Pingu\'s mom rushes Pinga off the phone - it is Grandpa who\'s suffering measles. Pingu tells Pinga not to mess up his painting but Pinga throws red on it. Pingu gets really angry at Pinga and she runs away from Pingu. They go to Grandpa\'s house, but Pinga blocks the door so Pingu can\'t get out. Pingu backs up and rushes the door, but Pinga has moved away and he falls flat on the ground. They all go to Grandpa\'s house and while Mother tries treatments, Pingu and Pinga run around babbling and dancing, possibly to entertain Grandpa, but end up annoying him. Mother lectures them and tells them to be quiet, but they pretend to cook something in a pot and the lid falls off. Mom tells them to stop messing about and again tells them to be quiet, but they play dress-up while Pingu is on a sled and they crash into the drawer. Pingu\'s mom, exasperated, makes them go outside, where Pingu finds a board and puts it above a giant wad of snow to play seesaw. Mother, exasperated again, tells them to stop. Pingu then kicks snowballs into the door and kicks one into Mother. She finally has had enough of their behavior and tells them to go home. They then use markers to make fake spots and then call Mother. She comes home, lifts the bed sheets and finds them all spotty, like the measles. When Mother rubs their heads she finds out they have used crayon and they try it on Mother. When she jumps on the bed in the ending, she breaks it (much to Pingu\'s surprise). They then laugh.

1.Try to balance the textbook on a rolled up piece of paper. Use whatever method you want, but we\'ll bet you can\'t do it! Try rolling the paper up, making an arch... try everything.
2. Now roll the paper into a cylinder, length-wise, and wrap a rubber band around the tube to hold it in shape.
3. Now try balancing the textbook on top of the paper cylinder. Like magic, the tube can now support the entire weight of the textbook!
4. Looking at the cylinder, you might think the paper cylinder could support way more weight than just the textbook. There\'s only one way to find out! Find other items to balance on top of the text book. It\'s probably a good idea to keep the items unbreakable, because at some point, you\'ll have too much weight on there.
5. How many items were you able to get on top of the paper cylinder before it collapsed? Take all of those items to a scale and get a weight. Holy fright, that\'s a lot of weight… all balanced atop a piece of paper!
How does it work?
The average weight of a standard, flimsy, white piece of printer paper is less than 1 gram, right around .7 grams. It would make sense that something that light isn\'t able to hold the weight of a text book. Just trying to balance a textbook on top of the paper doesn\'t work… the paper just collapses! This is because the paper is unable to keep it\'s shape. It wants to return to a flat piece of parchment. With the addition of a rubber band, though, the paper can support and balance the textbook, and a whole lot more!
The secret to the paper\'s new found strength is the geometrical shape known as a cylinder. Cylinders are one of the most structurally sound, and strongest, geometrical shapes. Cylinders are able to be incredibly strong, regardless of the material they\'re made out of, because they disperse stress throughout their entire shape. If the rolled-up piece of paper were a perfect cylinder, the strength would be even stronger!
