[04 June 2012] 'Voters seek Islamic system in Egypt' - English
Egyptians vented their anger at presidential candidate Ahmed Shafiq who urged them to accept the life sentence issued for Mubarak and his officers. Security sources say dozens of angry protesters attacked Shafiq's campaign headquarters in two provincial towns, one of which in Fayyoum south of the capital Cairo and the other one in Hurghada on the Red Sea. Shafiq's campaign headquarters in Cairo had already been attacked last Monday. Besides supporting Mubarak's verdict, Shafiq has lashed out at his Muslim Brotherhood rival.
Press TV has conducted an interview with Waleed el-Haddad, spokesperson of Freedom and Justice Party.

Israel refuses to allow many Palestinian patients from Gaza to seek medical treatment in the occupied territories.
According to Palestinian sources, sick people whose transfer documents are marked \"State of Palestine\" are barred from entering Israel. The logo was added to medical transfer documents by Palestinian officials in December. This came after the Palestinian Authority won recognition as a UN observer state despite U-S and Israeli opposition. 70 Palestinian patients who need to go to Israeli hospitals have already been denied entry. Israeli officials are yet to comment on the issue.

In the latest anti-Damascus move, an Israeli deputy minister accused Syrian forces of using chemical weapons against civilians.
Ayoob Kara claimed in an interview with Israel Radio that Israeli medics, stationed on the border between Turkey and Syria, are reporting the use of such weapons.
To shed more light on Tel Aviv's escalating rhetoric against Syria, Press TV talked with Maya Nasser, a Damascus-based political analyst.

[24 July 2012] US Israel seek to launch more wars in Mideast - English
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says Tel Aviv will "have to act" to prevent a possible transfer of chemical weapons from Syria to Lebanon.
In an interview on "Fox News Sunday," Netanyahu said the need for an intervention may arise in case of the collapse of the Syrian government.
"So I think that this is something we'll have to act to stop if the need arises. And the need might arise if there's a regime collapse," the Israeli premier said.
He made the comments a few days after Israeli Minister of Military Affairs Ehud Barak made similar remarks.
Barak said that "the moment (Syrian President Bashar al-Assad) starts to fall we will conduct intelligence monitoring and will liaise with other agencies."
"Israel cannot accept a situation where advanced weapons systems are transferred from Syria to Lebanon," he said.
This is while Israel has intensified its military buildup in the occupied Golan Heights near the Syrian border.
Press TV has conducted an interview with Dr. Randy Short, with the Southern Christian Leadership Conference, from Washington, to further discuss the issue.

[06 Aug 2012] Saudi Sunnis Shias seek democracy Hisham Jaber - English
Protesters have held a demonstration against the repressive regime of Al Saud in Tarout Island of Saudi Arabia.
The demonstrators on Sunday condemned the recent killing of a teenager by the Saudi police.
The protesters in Tarout also expressed solidarity with prominent detained Shia cleric Sheikh Nemr al-Nemr, who was attacked, injured and arrested by the security forces of the Al Saud regime while driving from a farm to his house in Qatif on July 8.
However, the demonstrations have turned into protests against the Al Saud regime, especially since November 2011, when Saudi security forces killed five protesters and injured many others in the Eastern Province.
According to Human Rights Watch, the Saudi regime "routinely represses expression critical of the government."
Press TV has conducted an interview with Hisham Jaber, director of the Middle East Studies Center, from Beirut, to further discuss the issue.

Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei narrates and explains a tradition narrated from the Messenger of Allah (S), where his eminence speaks about the 6 traits that even the holy Prophet (S) used to seek refuge from in Allah, the Mighty, the Exalted.
Yet, what are those 6 traits that we must all seek refuge from?
And what is the meaning of Taqwa?
What is the meaning of hidden polytheism?
And what happens when a person becomes angry?
Finally, what is the meaning of a rebel?
Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei expounds upon the wise words of the Messenger of Allah (S).
