Remarkably little is known about great white sharks, but they are similar to humans in a lot of ways - they give birth to live young, maintain a higher body temperature than their surroundings and they are apex predators. There are also many misconceptions about these sharks: people think they don\'t get cancer and that they reside mainly in shallow waters near beaches. In this video I summarize some of the most interesting things I learned about sharks on my cage diving adventure.
Special thanks to Rodney Fox Shark Expeditions for making this trip possible: http://bit.ly/rodneyfox
Thanks also to Tourism South Australia for facilitating the trip: http://bit.ly/1aq9MgV
Chris Cassella or C² as he is known after this trip was a shark spotter extraordinaire. He also took some of the best shark footage in this video. It was his idea to go on this expedition, which was definitely a once in a lifetime experience, so I am in his debt. Chris, I look forward to going on more great adventures with you. In reaction to the meeting of the so-called Friends of Syria in London, Damascus says no foreign party will be involved in deciding the country\'s leadership.
The Syrian Foreign Ministry issued a statement saying that the Syrian people are the only ones who can choose their leaders. The statement says Syrians will not allow any foreign party to impose its will on them when it comes to choosing a government or determining the state powers. The statement comes after the so-called Friends of Syria supported the insurgents in the country. They said after their meeting on Tuesday that they\'ve agreed with the external opposition that President Bashar al-Assad will have no place in the future of the Middle Eastern nation. The meeting of the group of 11 Western and Arab countries plus the foreign-backed opposition, was held ahead of a planned peace conference on Syria in late November.

Reports coming out of Syria suggest that the army has retaken control of the ancient Christian town of Sadad from al-Qaeda-linked militants.
This follows week-long clashes in the town, which is located north of Damascus. Al-Nusra Front insurgents had recently captured key areas of the town, including a checkpoint that gave them control of the western part. The fighting forced many people to flee to the nearby city of Homs or remain trapped in their homes. Sadad has a strategic location near the main highway leading to the Syrian capital.

Saudi intelligence chief Prince Bandar Bin Sultan al-Saud has criticized the US\\\'s regional policies over Syria, Bahrain and Iran. It\\\'s even forgone its seat at the U.N. Security Council, complaining that the UN has not been effective as the crisis continues in Syria. What is Riyadh role in escalating the Syrian crisis? Is Saudi Arabia let down by Washington or by its own controversial foreign policy in the region? Is Riyadh seeking sectarian tension in certain regional Arab countries to gain influence? How divided are the US and Saudi Arabia with respect to their policies in the Middle East region?

To Pakistan now, where at least four people are killed in a car bombing in the provincial capital of Balochistan.
Quetta city\'s deputy inspector general says an explosives-laden car was blown up in one of the busiest areas. The powerful blast rocked the whole area, smashing windows of buildings and shops nearby. No person or group has claimed responsibility for the attack yet. Quetta has been plagued by sectarian violence, targeted killings, kidnappings and militant attacks. Militants there, have long demanded more autonomy and a greater share of Balochistan\'s natural resources. Militant groups have seemingly operated with impunity as security forces are said to have turned a blind eye to their attacks and kidnappings.

A Bahraini court has sentenced 10 anti-regime protesters to jail as part of Manama\'s continued crackdown on dissent.
Nine protesters were sentenced to terms of three-months to one-year in prison for taking part in protests against the al-Khalifah regime. Another protester was also given a six-month jail term for an alleged attack on a police station. The court had charged him with aggression against police, possession of petrol bombs and taking part in an unauthorized protest aiming at undermining public security. Meanwhile, tensions in the small Persian Gulf island nation continue to flare as police raid the headquarters of the main opposition bloc, called al-Wefaq. No word yet on the fate of those inside the H-Q, as regime forces refuse to allow anyone in or out of the building. Al-Wefaq\'s lawyer and the group\'s senior members have also been prevented from entering the building. The complex houses a museum that documents the Bahraini regime\'s human rights violations.

[03 Nov 2013] Leader: Nuclear program just an excuse for US enmity toward our nation - English

The Leader of Iran\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s Islamic Revolution says the country\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s nuclear program is just an excuse for the United States to continue its enmity toward the Iranian nation.
Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei referred to the history of US hostility toward the Iranian nation. He said that the US officials had targeted Iran with various forms of plots, campaigns and schemes, before the nuclear issue even existed. The Leader rejected as simplistic or ill-intended those statements made by some elements who claim that if Iran gives up its nuclear rights, all economic and other problems facing the country will be resolved overnight. Ayatollah Khamenei defended the Iranian negotiating team against internal criticism. He said the Iranian negotiators-- who have held talks with the UN Security Council\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s permanent members plus Germany, are shouldering a tough responsibility. The Leader however reiterated his skepticism of US intentions, saying a smiling enemy cannot be trusted.
