[10 July 2012] Saudi Arabia can stop ongoing revolution - English Security forces in Saudi Arabia have killed three demonstrators in the country's Eastern Province, which has been a major scene of anti-regime protests over the past months. The Riyadh regime forces opened fire on a demonstration in the Qatif region of the province on Sunday. Two of the victims were identified as Akbar Hassan Shakhouri and Mohammedredha Felfel, who were among the protesters demonstrating against the detention of prominent Shia cleric Sheikh Nemr al-Nemr, who was attacked in his car upon arrest earlier in the day. Several other protesters were also injured in the deadly incident. Since February 2011, protesters have held demonstrations on an almost regular basis in Saudi Arabia, mainly in Qatif and the town of Awamiyah in the Eastern Province, calling for the release of all political prisoners, freedom of expression and assembly, and an end to widespread discrimination.

[13 April 2012] Bahrain uprising - Middle East Today - Presstv - English Rights activist Abdulhadi al-Khawaja's family is fear for his life in Bahraini jails. Khawaja, the co-founder and former president of the Bahrain Center for Human Rights, began a hunger strike in early February to protest against the life sentence he received last year and Manama's ongoing crackdown on peaceful protests. Amnesty International has also called for the 'immediate and unconditional release' of al-Khawaja, considering him a 'prisoner of conscience, detained solely for exercising his right to freedom of expression.' Hunger strikes seem to have an effect on the Israeli authorities who are holding thousands of Arabs and Palestinians in jails without trial. Why does it seem harder for Bahraini activists in jail with unjust sentences to get their rights? What are the humanitarian conditions which stipulate holding a UNSC meeting to discuss a crisis in a country?

Anti- Morsi and Muslim Brotherhood protests moved in several marches across Cairo converging in both Tahrir Square and outside the Presidential Palace while Pro-Morsi Supporters continued their sit-in by Raba\\\'a Mosque and Near Cairo University. The senior diplomat is currently on a regional tour to rally support for the Geneva-two peace conference-- likely to be held in November. Afkham further stressed that Iran favors a political solution to the Syrian conflict, and won\'t accept any preconditions for taking part in the Geneva meeting. She noted that Syrian people themselves should determine their country\'s fate.

The Israeli authority have proposed to make land swaps as part of the ongoing negotiations between the two sides. However, the Palestinian Authority have responded by stating that the land swaps would allow the Israeli\'s to continue to expand settlements in the West Bank ethnically cleansing 8% of the Palestinian population of Israel to the Palestinian Authority in an attempt to lower the Palestinian minority.
