Indian troops kill Five in Kashmir
Police in Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir have once again opened fire on protesters, killing at least Five and injuring more than two dozen others.
According to police sources, after protests turned violent security forces were forced to open fire to disperse protesters in the southern town of Mendhar, a Press TV correspondent reported.
The death toll is expected to rise as some of the injured are said to be in critical condition.
The deaths have triggered more protests in neighboring Poonch district and surrounding areas with protestors attacking several police stations in the disputed Himalayan region.
The regional administration has sought the help of Indian paramilitary forces to contain the situation in the predominantly Muslim region.
In a separate incident, pro-independence demonstrators set fire to two government buildings to protest a round-the-clock curfew across Kashmir, which has been in place for four days now.
Residents say they are running out of food and supplies.
Kashmir has been the scene of violent clashes on an almost daily basis.
Over 90 Kashmiri protesters have lost their lives at the hands of Indian troops since the unrest erupted back in June.

Update On Islamic Iran Nuclear Energy Program - 15 SEP 2010 - English

IAEA not a UNSC subsidiary: Iran
Soltanieh went on to say that the IAEA is neither a subsidiary of the UN or UNSC, nor is Amano the subordinate of UN Secretary General [Ban Ki-moon], adding that Iran will not allow the UN bodies to influence the agency.
"It should be noted that requests [by the agency] based on the Additional Protocol beyond the provisions of the NPT (Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty) Comprehensive Safeguards and under the pretext of the illegal UNSC resolutions... are not legitimate and therefore not acceptable."
Referring to Amano's latest report on Tehran's nuclear program, Soltanieh said at a time when "the boring statements" and claims made by certain members of the Board of Governors over the past seven years have damaged the atmosphere of the IAEA, we are once again facing a political dispute "as a result of the director general's recent report."
The Iranian envoy went on to say that "all of Iran's nuclear activities are carried out under the agency's Comprehensive Safeguards" and a "clear message by the current and former director generals confirms that after conducting the most extensive inspections in the agency's history" no evidence of diversion in Tehran's activities has been found.
He added that although "the agency continues to verify the non-diversion of declared nuclear material in Iran," it seems that the report has adopted unusual wording with regard to the safeguards obligations due to "outside pressures."
The Iranian envoy went on to say that the report contains "extensive details" about the "ordinary technical activities" in the framework of Iran's peaceful nuclear program which contradicts the principle of protecting "sensitive information of member states."
"I wonder why the director general deprives member states of the technical information on the enrichment [activities] in other countries especially those who possess nuclear weapons or other members of Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, including Japan."
"This is an enigma," the Iranian envoy said, adding that such technical details about Iran's nuclear activities prove that the IAEA has had "full access to all nuclear material and facilities" in Iran, therefore claiming that "Iran has not provided necessary cooperation is both incorrect and misleading."
With regard to the so-called "alleged studies," the agency should be reminded that according to the "Modalities of Resolution of the Outstanding Issues (INFCIRC/711)," this is not an outstanding issue. Furthermore, the facts that the material of the "alleged studies" lack authenticity, no nuclear material was used and no components were made as declared by the former director general, are also missing in this report. In the same context the notion of the "possible military dimensions" is absolutely out of context of the Modality (INFCIRC/711) already negotiated and agreed upon by the agency as well as its mandate.
Soltanieh added that Iran would lodge a complaint to receive compensation for the huge loses it has suffered as a result of these baseless claims.
Pointing to violating the principle of protecting sensitive information by the agency's employees, that leaked information on Iran's nuclear program to a Western news agency Soltanieh said Amano "assured me that investigations are being carried out by internal investigator, and we will be informed as soon as possible."
However, Soltanieh added, Amano informed us that they had not been able to identify the source of leaked information and there was no evidence that the Secretariat's officials were responsible.
"These statements are not acceptable at all, because information published by the mentioned news agency were exactly the same [information] that had been confidentially handed to the agency's inspectors."
The Iranian envoy added that the agency had openly stated that their news source was one of the agency's employees.
"New investigations must immediately begin, and the agency should file a complaint against the mentioned news agency for the misbehavior that damaged the mutual trust between the Secretariat and the member states and the agency's credibility."
The director general referred to the sensitive issue of refusing to designate 38 of the IAEA inspectors in his opening speech, but did not mention the next developments such as Iran's agreement with the designation of more inspectors, Soltanieh said.
"Another important issue is that Iran has accepted more than 150 inspectors as the designated inspectors and usually around 10 are inspecting Iran, so the Secretariat can simply use other inspectors."
Soltanieh concluded that more than one year has passed since Iran requested fuel for Tehran's nuclear reactor, but no result has yet been achieved despite the fact that almost one million patients in Iran are in need of the agency's humanitarian assistance.

Israeli PM rebuffs settlement freeze
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has once again rejected calls to extend a partial freeze on settlement activities in the occupied territories.
"The prime minister has not changed his position on this issue, there is no question of extending the moratorium," an unnamed Israeli official told AFP on Friday.
Last week, US President Barack Obama said it would make sense for Tel Aviv to extend the 10-month moratorium during its direct talks with the Palestinian Authority.
US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton urged Tel Aviv on Thursday to extend the deadline, which expires at the end of this month.
"Where we sit now it would be useful for some extension, it would be extremely useful," Clinton said.
Meanwhile, the European Union said that the settlements are "illegal under international law" and called for an "extension of the moratorium decided by Israel."
Acting Palestinian Authority Chief Mahmoud Abbas has threatened to leave the negotiations if Israel resumes its settlement activities in the occupied West Bank and East al-Quds (Jerusalem).
According to Palestinians, Israel's insistence of the continuation of settlement projects would be a major obstacle to the establishment of a viable Palestinian state.

Obama Hypocrisy On NNTP in Speech To United Nations General Assembly - 23 SEP 2010 - English

Obama urges diplomacy on Iran
US President Barack Obama has called for a diplomatic solution to Iran's nuclear issue, despite Washington's disregard for Tehran's diplomatic initiatives.
Speaking at the UN General Assembly in New York on Thursday, Obama said, "Let me be clear once more: the United States and the international community seek a resolution to our differences with Iran, and the door remains open to diplomacy should Iran choose to walk through it."
"But the Iranian government must demonstrate a clear and credible commitment and confirm to the world the peaceful intent of its nuclear program," AFP quoted him as saying.
Obama's comments come while the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has in different reports confirmed the non-diversion of Iran's nuclear program.
Iran signed a nuclear declaration with Turkey and Brazil in May as a diplomatic effort to solve the standoff with the West over its nuclear program.
Foreign ministers of Iran, Turkey, and Brazil signed the declaration in the Iranian capital Tehran on May 17, according to which the Islamic Republic would ship 1200 kilograms of its low-enriched uranium to Turkey to be exchanged for 120 kilograms of 20 percent enriched nuclear fuel rods to power the Tehran research reactor, which produces radioisotopes for cancer treatment.
The US and its allies, however, disregarded the declaration by imposing a fourth round of UN Security Council sanctions against Iran.
Iran has criticized the US-engineered UN sanctions, arguing that as a signatory to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and an IAEA member, it has the right to pursue and benefit from nuclear technology for peaceful purposes.
Tehran announced in September that it was ready to resume talks on its nuclear program, but stressed that any negotiations must be conducted within the framework of the Tehran declaration.
Obama's call for diplomacy on Iran comes as major world powers have also urged resumption of talks with Iran over its nuclear program.
Foreign ministers of the P5+1 — China, France, Russia, Britain and the US plus Germany — said in a statement on Wednesday that they seek a "long-term negotiated solution" to Iran's nuclear issue.

Bionic eyes were once thought to be the creation of science fiction, but now doctors in Germany have developed a computer chip that could help restore the sight of hundreds of thousands of blind people.
Retinal implants are able to partially restore the vision of people with particular forms of blindness caused by diseases such as macular degeneration or retinitis pigmentosa.
About 200,000 people worldwide have retinitis pigmentosa, and one in 10 people over the age of 55 have age-related macular degeneration.
The experimental chip has been tested on three men with astonishing results.
Al Jazeera's Tania Page reports.

For over 1,400 years, Muslims have been performing the pilgrimage, or Hajj, to the sacred site of Mecca.
In modern times, approximately two million Muslims make the pilgrimage to Mecca each year, a trip required of all Muslims at least once in lifetime if they are financially and physically able. During the Hajj, Muslims from all over the world come together for a few days to participate in common rituals, joined together by their shared faith in the most holy places of Islam, the city and surrounding areas of Mecca.
As the birthplace of the Prophet Muhammad (p) and the site where he first received Qur'anic revelation, Mecca is a place of great spirituality and tradition.
Since only Muslims may enter Mecca, it is a place that few Americans will get to see, which makes this piece especially interesting.
Following writer/producer Michael Wolfe, the film documents his second trip or Hajj for ABC News' Nightline. One of the more than seven million Muslims in the United States, Wolfe is a convert to Islam, born to a Christian mother and a Jewish father.
Speaking live from the Ka'ba, the Great Mosque in Mecca, in an interview with ABC News' Ted Koppel, Wolfe takes viewers step-by-step through both the physical and spiritual aspects of the pilgrimage, explaining the origins and meanings of the various rituals.

Complete Sermon of Prophet Muhammad SAWW at Ghadeer Khum by Agha Hassan Mujtaba Rizvi - English
The Ghadir event and its significance
Seventy days before his demise, when Prophet Muhammad (PBUH&HF) 1 was returning to Medina after his last pilgrimage to Mecca, he reached the pond of Khum
(Ghadir Khum) near Juhfa. It was the 18th of the month of Dhul-Hijja of the year 10 AH (March 15, 632 AD). By this time, the Prophet (PBUH&HF) had conveyed
all of the divine commandments to his nation except for the formal and explicit public announcement of his divinely appointed successors as the leaders,
guardians, and guides for the believers for all days to come.
By the order of Allah, the Prophet (PBUH&HF) stopped at the pond of Khum, gathered the crowd of pilgrims, and delivered his last universal speech. In this
sermon, he presented his last religious instruction which finalized the last divine religion and made Islam the perfect religion in the sight of Allah. Imam
Muhammad al-Baqir (PBUH), the fifth Imam and successor of the Prophet (PBUH&HF) said: “The last obligatory duty that Allah sent down was al-Walaya(adherence
to the guardian assigned by Allah). Then, He sent down the verse: ‘Today, I completed your religion…’1 once the Messenger of Allah established it in Juhfa
area.”
This message was the most unique in the entire mission of the Prophet (PBUH&HF) due to the revelation of Verse 67, Chapter 5 of the Holy Quran before his
speech. In this revelation, Allah warned His Messenger that failing to deliver this last message would nullify his entire mission. This unprecedented warning
proves that this last message contained the most important religious commandment of Allah for the Muslim nation.
Moreover, the contents of this last message were so crucial to the faith that the Prophet (PBUH&HF) emphatically required all those who directly or
indirectly heard the sermon of Ghadir Khum to convey it to people who were not aware of its details, and parents to convey it to their children for all
generations to come. Hence, this sermon addresses all Muslim generations of the world until the Day of Judgement. This emphasis naturally implies that
the content of this message has a vital role in the future of the Muslims, their spiritual health, and their felicity in the Hereafter.
The main issue that the Prophet (PBUH&HF) addressed in his speech in Ghadir Khum was that Allah appointed Ali Ibn Abi Talib (PBUH) as the guardian (Wali),
the master (Mawla), the leader (Imam), and the commander (Amir) of all believing men and women, the deputy and the executor of his affairs (Wasi), and his
successor (Khalifa). His sayings and commands should be preferred over the opinions of all others in every matter. Obeying him is obeying Allah, and
disobeying him is disobeying Allah. Whoever follows him (and his sayings) is a believer under the guardianship of Allah, and whoever turns away from him (or
his sayings) is a disbeliever under the guardianship of Satan.
Guardianship (al-Walaya) expresses a bilateral relation between the guardian and the people. Observing al-Walaya by people means adhering to the guardian and
acknowledging his authority by heart, tongue, and action. On the other hand, the action of al-Walaya by the guardian means offering protection from evil,
spiritual assistance, care, support, and guidance for his adherents. A divinely appointed guardian guards his adherents from misguidance, spiritual
destruction, wrongdoing, and sin as much as they adhere to him and his commands. Establishing al-Walaya has been the ultimate goal of religion and the fruit
of the entire efforts of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH&HF) during his mission.
One who submits to Allah’s representative and adheres to him has indeed acknowledged Allah’s authority and guardianship and is a true monotheist in obeying
Allah. Acknowledging the guardianship of the leaders that Allah appointed and submitting to them is the greatest pillar of faith. It safeguards the followers
from the wrath and punishment of Allah. Imam Muhammad al-Baqir (PBUH) said: “Islam is established by five things: prayer, charity, fasting, pilgrimage, and
al-Walaya (adhering to the guardians authorized by Allah). None (among them) was called for as (emphatically as) al-Walaya was called for. However, people
accepted the first four and abandoned al-Walaya.
People who refused to submit to the leaders that Allah appointed resemble the Satan who refused to submit to the viceregent of Allah, Adam (PBUH), and
consequently, became an outcast and went under the curse of Allah forever as mentioned in the Holy Quran.1 It is narrated that Imam al-Ridha (PBUH) said:
“The similitude of the believers in accepting the guardianship of the Commander of the Believers (Ali) on the day of Ghadir Khum is that of the angels in
prostrating before Adam (i.e., submitting to him), and the similitude of those who turned away from the guardianship of the Commander of the Believers on the
day of Ghadir is that of the devil (Iblis).
In one of his speeches on the anniversary of the day of Ghadir, Imam Ali (PBUH) said: “Allah does not accept the faith (of an individual) except after he
acknowledges the guardianship of whom He required. He does not arrange the means of His obedience (for an individual) except after he adheres to His ropes
and the ropes of His authorized people. Thus, Allah sent down to His Prophet (PBUH&HF) on the day of the large trees1 that which explained His will for His
sincere and chosen servants. Allah commanded him to convey (the message) without being concerned about the hypocrites or the deviants, and guaranteed him
protection against their evil... By that, Allah completed His religion, and delighted the eyes of His Prophet (PBUH&HF), and the believers. Some of you
witnessed this event and some received its news. This (appointment) concluded the beautiful word of Allah for those who observe patience… ”

disobeying him is disobeying Allah.

Tens of thousands of people have marched through the streets of Beirut, waving flags and banners to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of the third Shia Imam Hessein (PBUH).
The outpouring over the martyrdom of Prophet Mohammad's grandson reached to a crescendo in the Southern Suburbs of Beirut, where Hezbollah secretary general Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah gave a speech.
Ashura in lebanon has come to symbolize the conflict with Israel. This occasion according to hezbollah and many of the masses commemorating Ashura should serve as a reminder to certain sides not to surrender to the will of Israel.
Sayyed Nasrallah once again underscored the importance of not surrendering to Israel, and called on Arab leaders to embrace the choice of resistance rather than negotiating with Israel, which he described as a waste of time.
Sayyed Nasrallah stressed the importance the teachings of Imam Hussein who was martyred in 680 AD by his enemies. Imam Hussein's teachings are considered by Muslims around the world as the basis of resistance against what they believe to be the current forms of occupation and imperialism.
The Hezbollah leader also said there is a new western conspiracy against the resistance and its people.
Many wore black as a sign of mourning and chanted slogans in support of Hezbollah.
The element of Ashura and specifically the effort to fight injustice has been considered by hezbollah as one of its main building blocks.
Today with an international tribunal that could indict some of its members hezbollah views itself as a victim of what it believes to be international injustice and has set out to confront this with what it believes to be the real meaning of truthfullness.

This is a ‘meccan’ surah.
This surah refers to an incident in the history of Makka, as an example of how ALLAH (swt) deals with those who oppose HIS will. About fifty days before the birth of the Holy Prophet, Abraha, the Abyssinia\'s viceroy of Yemen, Christian by religion, proceeded against Makka, as the head of a large army, with the object of destroying the Kaabah, because he wanted that there should be no place or structure more glorious than the church he was building at Sana. He had with him elephants. Therefore he and his army is known as ashab al fil, those who brought elephants. At the outskirts of Makka he captured a large number of camels belonging to the chief of Makka, Abd al Muttalib, the grandfather of the Holy Prophet. After receiving the information that Abraha was coming to destroy the holy Ka-bah, Abd al Muttalib went to see him and said:
\"I have come to collect my camels. The Ka-bah belongs to God. He will surely protect it from your evil design.\" Abraha gave the captured camels to Abd al Muttalib He returned to the city and asked the people to retire to the neighbouring hills, leaving the Lord of Ka-bah to protect it. When Abraha entered Makka, suddenly a large flock of birds, like swallows, came flying from the sea-coast and pelted the invading army with pebbles of baked clay. They all died. They were like a dead and useless field from which all the produce is eaten up and only straw with stubble is left. Abraha escaped and went directly to the king in Abyssinia. All the way a bird with a stone in her beak followed him. When the king asked Abraha as to what kind of birds they were, Abraha looked to the sky and the bird at once dropped stone in her beak and killed him on the spot. The lesson to be drawn is twofold. The pagans of Makka were forewarned that as the Holy Prophet was superior to the Kaabah, ALLAH, who protects whatever is HIS own, shall protect him from all their evil schemes. It is also a warning to men in all ages that \"if a man intoxicated with power comes out to defeat ALLAH\'s holy plan, he cannot prevail against ALLAH (swt), but his plan will fail and destroy him as well.“
It is narrated from Imam Ja’far as-Sadiq (as) that whoever recites this surah in his faraa’idh prayers, the mountains will bear witness on the Day of Judgement that he prayed and he will be taken to Jannah on the command of ALLAH (swt). The person who recites this surah is kept safe from his enemies and has his difficulties and problems solved quickly. Recitation of this surah is also helpful in remaining safe from evil tyrant rulers.

This is a ‘meccan’ surah.
Imam Mohammad al-Baqir (as) has said that whoever recites this surah with a loud voice, it is as if he has lifted his sword to fight in the way of ALLAH (swt) and whoever recites it slowly in his mind, it is as if he has been sacrificed in the way of Allah and has died a martyr. If a person recites this surah ten times, one thousand sins of his are forgiven. If recited in compulsory prayers, all previous sins are forgiven. It is narrated from the Holy Prophet (s) that reciting this surah once carries the reward of fasting for the whole month of Ramadhan. Constant recitation of this surah, increases sustenance. If surah Qadr is recited 11 times before sleeping, the reciter remains safe the whole night. Recitation in front of an enemy keeps one safe from his evil designs. For the paying back of loans, one should seek forgiveness and should recite surah Qadr as many times as possible. Imam Ja’far as-Sadiq (as) said that for pious children, one should keep his right hand on his wife and recite this surah 7 times before going into her. If recited seven times on the grave of a believer, his sins will be forgiven.

In the name of God Most Gracious Most Merciful, Predictions in a 1400 year old document - God's scriptures are not the only mathematically composed creations of God where the number 19 is the common denominator. It is profound indeed that Galileo made his famous statement: "Mathematics is the language with which God created the universe." A plethora of scientific findings have now shown that the number 19 represents God's signature upon certain creations. This divine stamp appears throughout the universe in much the same manner as the signature of Michelangelo and Picasso identify their works. For example: 1. The sun, the moon, and the earth become aligned in the same relative positions once every 19 years (see ENCYCLOPEDIA JUDAICA under "Calendar"). 2. Halley's comet, a profound heavenly phenomenon, visits our solar system every 76 years, 19x4. 3. God's stamp on you and me is manifested in the fact that the human body contains 209 bones, 19x11. 4. LANGMAN'S MEDICAL EMBRYOLOGY, by T. W. Sadler, is used as a textbook in most of the Medical Schools in the U.S.A. On Page 88 of the Fifth edition, we read the following statement: "In general the length of pregnancy for a full term fetus is considered to be 280 days or 40 weeks after onset of the last menstruation, or more accurately, 266 days or 38 weeks after fertilization." The numbers 266 and 38 are both multiples of 19.

Egyptian Dictator Speech to Young Protestors (This could be his Last speech) - English

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, in a TV address, has said that he does not plan to step down, angering pro-democracy protesters in the country who had urged his immediate resignation.
Mubarak stated that he will never leave Egypt in the face of 17 tumultuous days of public protests, provoking outbursts of anger from protesters at Cairo's' Liberation square, who prior to the speech had created dramatic scenes of jubilation as they expected Mubarak to declare his resignation, a Press TV correspondent reported.
The embattled president once again asserted that he will not stand as candidate for the upcoming elections, and that he was transferring some powers to Vice President Omar Suleiman.
He further acknowledged that his government had made mistakes and expressed sorrow for those killed in the demonstrations, promising that those responsible for the killings would be punished.
"I don't feel embarrassment in holding talks with the youths and creating dialog," said Mubarak, adding that "the protesters' blood will not be in vain."
Meanwhile, Vice President Omar Suleiman made a speech during which he called on Egyptians youth to to go back home and resume work.
The protesters took off their shoes and brandished them at the screen on which they had seen Mubarak's speech, and shouted "Down with Mubarak, leave, leave!"
Others called for an immediate general strike and called on army -- which has deployed large numbers of troops around the square -- to support the Egyptian nation, instead of Mubarak's “illegitimate” regime.
"Egyptian army, the choice is now, the regime or the people,” the protesters chanted.
Meanwhile, a Press TV correspondent said that furious crowds of people at Cairo's' Liberation Square, which has become the focal point of pro-democracy demonstrations, are moving toward Mubarak's palace to vent out their outrage at the decision.
Reports say more than 300 people have been killed by security forces and thousands injured since the beginning of the revolution on January 25.

Allegations of harassment and legal loopholes were raised at the controversial trial of Malaysia's Shia leader Kamil Zuhairi Abdul Aziz. Kamil is yet to be charged although the religious authorities in the country arrested him last December for what they called deviant teaching.
The religious authorities told the court that they are yet to wrap up their investigations on Kamil.
The government has once again come under spot light following the arrest of 120 Shias who had gathered to mark the martyrdom of Prophet Muhammad's grandson in December (2010).
The sweeping arrest has sparked fear among the Shia followers and is seen as a specific crackdown against them.

You may have a database full of members, or you render out all of your pages using a Custom Content Management System, which usually stores page data in a MySQL database. In this quick video tutorial Adam shows you how to go into your PHPMyAdmin MySQL database interface and back up or save your sensative database information.
There are a few ways that you could lose the data in your database, so creating backup insert files manually is an easy way for a webmaster to safeguard his or her data. First step in keeping your database secure is not allowing users to input harmful strings. Learn of strings that may harm your database and cancel them out in your form processing.
But I am assuming your scripts are secure and that you would like to backup your database just in case anything may happen out of the ordinary. You can easily replace any lost data in a few minutes using this manual methid with PHPMyAdmin.
Databases get created on your server either through your cpanel or if you are on GoDaddy or a host that has a custom control panel. Once made you have acces to PHPMyAdmin which is for interacting with your database from a not too technical online interface. So not only is it handy but it teaches you code to write scripts that can interact with your database at runtime.
HOT TIP: I have learned a lot of PHP-MySQL syntax from using PHPMyAdmin

Bahrain's authorities have cancelled the scholarships of several students who have demonstrated against the government in Britain.
Students in the UK now face the prospect of having to return home at the end of the summer, once they are unable to pay tuition fees for the next academic year.
The Bahraini Embassy in London says the decisions are not final and affect a relatively small number of students, but Bahraini opposition groups in the UK say they know of at least 35 students who have been affected and expect many more to come forward.
