Imam Hasan Askari (AS) was 22 years of age when his father Imam Ali Naqi (AS) was martyred. The period of his Imamate, following his father\'s death, was six years.
Although Imam Hasan Askari (AS) endured great sufferings, many students benefited from his divine knowledge and later became scholars in their own field of study. The Imam taught the Quran and the true teachings of Islam as taught by the Prophet of Islam and his Ahle Bait. He also wrote a complete Exegesis of the Quran.
He had many discussions with the non-believers about the existence of God and the reasons for the necessity of the Prophets and Imams. Consequently, many atheists converted to Islam at his hands.
Like the Bani Ummayads, the Abbasids were afraid of the exalted status of the Imams, their divine knowledge, and their rule over the hearts and minds of the people. So like his predecessors, in a rage of jealousy, Al-Mu\'tamid decided to put an end to the Imamate through every possible means once and for all.
However, with all their repression and power, the Abbasids rulers could not prevent the birth of Imam Mahdi (AS). Imam Mohammad Mahdi (AS), the Imam of our time was born 266 AH. He is in occultation awaiting Allah\'s command to reappear and clear the world of injustice, tyranny, and oppression.
On the orders of Al-Mu\'tamid, Imam Hasan Askari (AS) was poisoned on 8th Rabi-al-Awwal 260 AH at the age of 28. At that time, Imam Mahdi was only five years old. When people, including Al- Mu\'tamid, lined up for the funeral prayers, the young Imam came out of the house and led the funeral prayer of his father. However, immediately after the prayer, the Imam went inside the house and was not seen by his pursuers.
The documentary is a comprehensive biography on Imam\'s life.

Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has called for the destruction of nuclear weapons across the world, saying Iran never plans to build such arms.
\\\\\\\"We believe that nuclear weapons must be obliterated, and we do not intend to make nuclear weapons, but if we had not had this belief and had decided to possess nuclear weapons, no power could have prevented us,\\\\\\\" Ayatollah Khamenei said in an address to thousands of clerics, officials and people of the northwestern Iranian city of Tabriz on Saturday.
The US, the Israeli regime and some of their allies have repeatedly accused Iran of seeking to produce an atomic bomb under the cover of its nuclear energy program, a claim Iran has categorically rejected.
In his address to the United Nations General Assembly on September 25, 2012, US President Barack Obama said, \\\\\\\"A nuclear-armed Iran is not a challenge that can be contained,\\\\\\\" adding \\\\\\\"The United States will do what we must to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon.\\\\\\\"
Reflecting on the US offer of direct talks with Iran, the Leader said Washington is using the media network which is under the influence of the Zionists and the Americans, to deceive the public opinion in the world, region and Iran.
Ayatollah Khamenei added that the global media network either does not reflect the truth about Iran, or distorts the truth.
The Leader stated that Washington proposes negotiations \\\\\\\"to show to the Muslim and proud nations of the region that despite all its tenacity and steadfastness, the Islamic Republic of Iran has finally come to the negotiating table; therefore you have no other choice but to surrender as well.\\\\\\\"
Ayatollah Khamenei said from the Western point of view, the real meaning of negotiation is to accept what they say, adding that they want to negotiate with Iran to make it give up its nuclear program while \\\\\\\"they need to hear our reasoning if they are after logical talks.\\\\\\\"
The Leader noted that the US claim that it would lift sanctions on Iran if the country comes to the negotiating table was a \\\\\\\"false promise.\\\\\\\"
\\\\\\\"In fact, this promise is one of [the United States] deceitful remarks, which shows that they are not after real and fair negotiations, but seek the surrender of the Iranian nation,\\\\\\\" the Leader added.
On February 2, US Vice President Joe Biden said his country was ready to hold direct talks with Iran over its nuclear energy program.
Only four days later, the US government imposed new sanctions on Iran\\\\\\\'s energy sector. The sanctions aim to prevent Iran from gaining access to crude export revenues.
The Leader also criticized Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani and President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad for a recent row during the impeachment of the labor minister.
Ayatollah Khamenei said that leveling accusations by the head of one branch of the government against the other two, the legislative and judicial branches, over an \\\\\\\"unsubstantiated document\\\\\\\" is unlawful and in violation of the rights of the Iranian nation.
On February 3, Iran\\\\\\\'s Majlis voted to dismiss Labor and Social Affairs Minister Abdolreza Sheikholeslami over his failure to remove Saeed Mortazavi from his post as the head of the Social Security Organization.
During Sheikholeslami\\\\\\\'s open impeachment session, Iran\\\\\\\'s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad played a tape showing a meeting between Mortazavi and Fazel Larijani, the brother of the Majlis speaker.
The video purportedly showed Fazel Larijani attempting to use his family\\\\\\\'s political status for financial gain. Fazel Larijani has declared that he would file a lawsuit against Mortazavi and President Ahmadinejad for what he called an intrusion of privacy.
The leader also criticized the Majlis speaker for overreacting to the accusations pressed by the president.
Ayatollah Khamenei also said the very idea of impeachment at Majlis for a reason that did not relate to the minister was wrong.
The Leader stated that Iranian officials must work to set aside differences and resolve domestic problems.
The Leader further pointed to the Iranian nation\\\\\\\'s high turnout in the rallies held across the country to mark the 34th anniversary of the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution and said economic problems did not lead to a separation between the people and the Islamic establishment.

Toronto Holds Massive Al-Quds Rally, Video- 03Aug2013 - All Languages

Like their counterparts in 770 cities in 80 countries of the world, thousands of Torontonians took to the streets on the International Day of Al-Quds to denounce Zionism and express their complete solidarity with the brutally oppressed, indigenous population of Palestine. The rally in Toronto was led by Jewish rabbis, activists from Independent Jewish Voices and other Jews who want to reclaim the hijacked faith of Judaism from the Zionist extremists. The rally also featured representatives from 150 peace organizations, labor movements, churches, mosques and human rights groups.
The attendees, which comprised of men women and children of all ages and faiths, carried signs like \\\\\\\"We Love Jews, Not Zionists\\\\\\\", \\\\\\\"Yes to Islam, Christianity and Judaism, No to Zionism\\\\\\\", \\\\\\\"Yes to Torah, Bible and Quran, no to Zionism\\\\\\\", \\\\\\\"Yes to Moses, Jesus and Mohammad, No to Zionism\\\\\\\" and \\\\\\\"Criticism of Israel is Not Anti-Semitism\\\\\\\".
Various organizations representing the interests of Israel and settlers in Canada had lobbied hard to stop the rally and tried to intimidate people from attending it, however, their efforts failed miserably and the Toronto city witnessed one of the largest and most organized Al-Quds rallies ever held in the western hemisphere. Some extremists from the radical Zionist organization, JDL, and their Islamophobic hatemongering friends from the Sun News Network tried to harass the attendees but were not successful. The JDL has been designated the terrorist status by the FBI and represents the true face of Zionism and the settler mentality of arrogance, racism and bullying. An anchor of Sun News Network has advocated dropping a nuclear bomb on the civilian population of a Muslim country and their so-called journalists are always shamelessly trying to propagate the Zionist narrative about the indigenous Christians and Muslims of Palestine. However, initiatives like the Al-Quds day have taken the mask off the ugly face of Zionism and today Israel is more isolated in the world than ever before. At the recent UN vote, 174 nations voted against the Israeli position (http://muslimperspectives.com/?p=823, http://muslimperspectives.com/?p=685)
The Al-Quds rally organizers, speakers and participants vowed not to get intimidated by Zionist extremists and refused to allow them to turn Canada into one of the Israeli settlements. The Al-Quds rallies in Toronto and the world will continue to grow in future and peace and justice loving individuals will continue to give voice to the voiceless. The future of Israel will not be, and cannot be different from other oppressive regimes in history; whether it is the regime of the Pharaoh or Apartheid, those who commit heinous crimes against the innocent are bound to be defeated. It is high time that the larger Jewish community distances itself from this racist ideology and reclaim the beautiful faith of Judaism from these extremists.

Description:
Like their counterparts in 770 cities in 80 countries of the world, thousands of Torontonians took to the streets on the International Day of Al-Quds to denounce Zionism and express their complete solidarity with the brutally oppressed, indigenous population of Palestine. The rally in Toronto was led by Jewish rabbis, activists from Independent Jewish Voices and other Jews who want to reclaim the hijacked faith of Judaism from the Zionist extremists. The rally also featured representatives from 150 peace organizations, labor movements, churches, mosques and human rights groups.
The attendees, which comprised of men women and children of all ages and faiths, carried signs like \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"We Love Jews, Not Zionists\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\", \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"Yes to Islam, Christianity and Judaism, No to Zionism\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\", \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"Yes to Torah, Bible and Quran, no to Zionism\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\", \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"Yes to Moses, Jesus and Mohammad, No to Zionism\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\" and \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"Criticism of Israel is Not Anti-Semitism\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\".

Al-Ghadir Day has been commemorated in the Yemeni capital by Shia community, who believe that on this day Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) appointed his cousin and son-in-law Ali Ibn Abi Taleb (AS) as the leader of Muslims more than fourteen centuries ago in the prophet\'s farewell speech.
Prominent members of the Houthi community who spoke at the podium, said, that Al-Ghadir day is one of the most important events to occur in Islamic history- in which Ali ibn Abi Taleb (AS) was dignified and givev elevated status by God, the Almighty.
The Houthi religious leader Abdul-Malik al Houthi also addressed the gathering via video conferencing from the north province of Sa\'ada. In his 40 minute speech, the Houthi leader highlighted the pressing issues facing the Muslim world. He said he believes the reason for chaos across the Islamic world- is their leaders who often seek protection and assistance from those he referred to as enemies of Islam.
Houthis in Yemen say they look to commemorate Al-Ghadir Day every year by calling on all Muslim nations to relinquish dependency on the West.
The Day of Al-Ghadir is significant in the Islamic history which is commemorated every year by Shia Muslims in Yemen. This is an auspicious day which many believe brought about the completion of the holy religion of Islam more than fourteen centuries ago.

A territorial dispute between China and Japan seems to be far from over. In the latest development, Beijing has sent four coastguard vessels to the disputed islands in the East China Sea.
The move follows Beijing\'s mention of war after Tokyo approved a plan to shoot down Chinese drones if they fly over Japan\'s airspace. China has threatened to take firm countermeasures, if Japan fires on its drones. Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has accused China of trying to change the status quo in the region by force, adding that\'s why Tokyo is expected to take a leadership role over regional security issues. The relations between the two Asian powerhouses have been strained particularly over a group of disputed islands-- known as Senkaku in Japan and Diaoyu in China. Both countries claim sovereignty rights over the uninhabited resource-rich islands that are currently under Tokyo\'s control.
