Shaykh Mansour Leghaei delivers a wakeup call to compassion and mercy. Disclaimer: this clip is not negating the reality of depression as a possible medical condition which needs professional attention. Rather, it is asking a very fundamental question: why does such a disease exist in the first place? Why has a certain attitude allowed for a physical change to take place within the mind and heart? Why are we always after covering up the symptoms of a disease, rather than rooting out the actual cause itself?

Tonight you want to read elegies about Imam Husayn’s (as) companions, right? Do you know what Imam Husayn’s (as) companions did to him? Imam Husayn (as) loved them. When Habib bin Mazahir was being martyred, the Imam said the same thing that he said when Ali Asghar was being martyred. He threw Ali Asghar’s blood up into the sky and said, “That which lets me tolerate this tragedy is that God is watching.” He said the same thing when his friend Habib bin Mazahir was being martyred. He held Habib’s head on his knee and said, “O God, since you are watching I tolerate this.”
This other companion of the Imam truly amazes me. He was shielding the Imam. He took this role on himself. When the Imam talked or went anywhere, he shielded him. He stood up for the arrows to hit him. He was struck so many times that he fell to the ground in front of Aba Abdillah al-Husayn (as). He said, “Imam, I can’t continue anymore.” The Imam came and put his head on his knee. He asked, “O Imam, are you satisfied with me now?”
Do you know what the Imam answered him? [We should say] what kind of question is this? This truly affected Imam Husayn (as). Imam Husayn (as) said, “[My dear] you will be in front of me in Heaven. When entering Heaven you should enter in front of me.”
That desert was the place of showing love. Was this easy for Husayn (as) for this companion to be struck by an arrow in his chest and fall to the ground? It was easier for Husayn (as) to be struck by the arrow himself instead of his companions. When each of Imam Husayn’s (as) companions would fall to the ground [after fighting]
it is said that Aba Abdillah al-Husayn (as) would go to him like an eagle that goes toward its hunt. He wouldn’t let them bother his companion. Imam Husayn (as) would hold the companion’s head on his knee calmly and caress him until his spirit left his body. Then Imam Husayn (as), along with the other companions, would bring the body back. He wouldn’t allow anyone’s head to be cut off while he was still alive. Husayn (as) didn’t allow anyone to be beheaded…

The cinema is more useful than giving a speech for religion. The Holy Prophet (s) said, “Invite people with tools other than your tongue.” Don’t invite people with your tongue. Invite them with your behavior. Behavior can be shown in the cinema. We say many things in speeches, but we are upset that no films have been made about these things. If a film had been made, it could have conveyed the message of ten days of speeches.
Interviewer, “That’s an interesting point!”
We believe the cinema is something for religion. Although, the majority of films in the history of the cinema may not have been in the interest of religion. This mistake has taken place. I think in the future, the cinema will be much more religious.
Interviewer, “So you consider the cinema to be something for religion?”
Films are a tool for conveying messages that cannot easily be conveyed in words. And religion needs films more. The cinema is more useful for religion than it is for other things. The cinema helps people experience things they don’t usually experience. The cinema shouldn’t show those experiences that everyone has experienced.
Interviewer, “What I’ve often heard some people saying is that the cinema is a technology coming from the west! And there is no need for…”
I do not accept this view. Before being the product of western technology and culture, with all its weak points, it is the result of human beings’ wisdom, thought and need. Human beings are seekers.«یُرِیدُ الْإِنْسَانُ لِیَفْجُرَ أَمَامَهُ» [Qur’an 75:5]
He wants to remove the screens blocking his eyes. He wants to do this with the cinema screen. The cinema can be a window to the world around us that we don’t have access to. The fact that this window is being abused by many is another matter. So the nature of cinema can be very religious. It can serve religion very much. We expect a film, a TV serial and other such things to show some truths to people to speed up their movement on the path of growth in life. We expect the cinema to serve not just religion, but to serve human beings much more than this.
This is doable without discussing religious matters or showing pictures of the domes of the shrines. This is doable without a movie being directly religious or being about the Friends of God or historical religious figures. This is doable without making a movie about a Mosque and the place for praying. The cinema can help human beings grow very much.

In this new analysis, Sheikh Jamel Tahiri comes back to the prime number 19, which is the number on which the Book of God, the Quran, is based. God has locked his word in the Book with the number 19, which proves its heavenly origin.
He also returns to the term \"salam\", peace, which is the greeting of the Prophets and people who aspire to God. Peace through language but also inner peace. This peace is the reconciliation of man with his two realities, the physical reality and the inner or spiritual reality.
Finally, he returns to the subject of the 5 physical senses and the 5 spiritual senses. The 5 spiritual senses are the senses of the heart and it is with them that man will be able to govern his being and achieve inner peace.
The world in which we live is built in such a way that people rely on materialism. Materialism is bound to disappear. Whereas in our inner reality, there is an eternity. Why stay on the ephemeral and not hold on to the eternity? It is to this eternity that the Prophets have called us. People who do not aspire to this eternity do everything to be the masters on this Earth because they only have this reality and have achieved what they most hope for. Whereas people who have both one foot on this earth and another on the world of eternity aspire to something else, to answer the call of God.
After this preamble, Sheikh Jamel Tahiri addresses the subject of this analysis, the #Hope, which has an intimate relationship with the Quran.
This hope is multiple. The first is hope in the material, the ephemeral world.
The second is hope in God. As a believer, we must avoid placing our hope in the life of this world because if we place it on the material then we cannot have hope in God and what is eternal. Material hope comes to put a veil between man and heavenly hope.
People who place their hope in the material have no more certainty and no more connection with the heavenly world. So the man connects himself with everything that is palpable.

Multiplying money is same as the multiplying whole numbers. In this educational video for kids, you’ll learn these steps to multiply money.
When multiplying money, always put the larger number (the number with more digits) on top, and the smaller number (the number with less digits) on the bottom.
Ignore the decimal point and multiply the numbers as we do with the whole numbers.
Count how many total digits are on the right side of the decimal points in the numbers we are multiplying.
Place the decimal point in the answer by starting at the right and moving a number of places equal to the sum of the decimal places in both numbers multiplied.

==============================
Someone says, “I want to move away from our religious neighborhood. I’ll move to a nonreligious neighborhood where no one cares about what others do. When you get up in the morning, neighbors won’t talk about whether you pray. Here, our neighbor came and said, ‘Your light isn’t on in the mornings. Don’t you pray?!’ ‘That doesn’t have anything to do with you! Maybe we pray in the dark.’ Everyone is judging each other. In our city, everyone expects others. Everyone is attacking each other based on their imaginations.”
One of the factors that causes people to become infatuated with western culture is this. When they go to western countries, they see what we are discussing in these sessions. This is called “acknowledging people’s differences.” They see this in the west. They see this in the culture of western people. Acknowledging people’s differences brings calm. They say, “I love this calmness.” Why? Actually, you should go to a place where everyone cares about you and helps you! This is being sophisticated, not what you see in western culture where people don’t care about each other due to their selfishness. But a religious person isn’t selfish. He cares due to his wanting to serve people and his being affectionate and kind! Why shouldn’t he care about others?
Our religion has said this too. Why should you search for this in the west? Why should you become infatuated with western culture, my dear? It’s said that if you see a wrong behavior, think positively about the person as much as is possible. For example, “I saw this husband and wife fighting and cursing each other.” Say, “They were practicing to see if they can curse someone! They were joking!” “No, he was really angry! He broke a glass too.” [Say,] “He was acting to see if he knows how to act. The husband and wife wanted to see if they are able to break a glass like in films. It was for fun. What’s wrong with that?!”
A tradition says, “A believer thinks good thoughts about others as much as is possible.” If it wasn’t possible to think good about him, you shouldn’t look at him as a sinner the next morning. Why? He certainly repented last night. He had time until morning. He sinned yesterday. You shouldn’t judge him today. We have some rules in our religion, which bring calmness more than what exists in the west. We are more western than western people [in these cases]! No one should pry into what others do. No one should make a bad judgement about others. No one should backbite. No one should be suspicious about others. A believer should think good thoughts about others. If a believer acts according to his beliefs, his behavior is even more sophisticated than theirs is!
Some people told Imam Khomeini, “We should fire all the judges who were working during Shah’s time.” Imam Khomeini said, “No, why do you want to fire them?” They said, “As a rule, they aren’t believers!” Imam Khomeini said, “According to which rule?” Someone wanted to say something to finish it up. A judge should be just. Just [in terms of religion] means he has to be pious and not do sins openly. So he said, “Some of these judges shave their beards and you have forbidden this.” Imam Khomeini immediately responded, “I say it’s forbidden. Maybe there is another Religious Authority who says it’s not forbidden.”
This is being sophisticated. Let me give you a higher example. A rich man went from Qazvin to Najaf Ashraf to give his Khoms tax to Imam Khomeini. He related, “I wanted to give my Khoms and he asked me, ‘Is this your yearly Khoms?’ ‘Yes.’ ‘Who were you giving it to before?’” Imam Khomeini guessed that he had been giving his Khoms tax to another Religious Authority and had recently changed. The man responded, “I used to give it to Mr. …” who wasn’t very well-known. Imam Khomeini said, “Perhaps he has plans about how to use your Khoms and wants to give it to the seminary students. Or he is doing a cultural activity and is counting on receiving your Khoms every year. If you don’t give your Khoms to him this year, it will harm his plans. Give your Khoms to that same person this year too.”
This is being sophisticated, not what you see in western culture where people don’t care about each other due to their selfishness. But a religious person isn’t selfish. He cares due to his wanting to serve people and his being affectionate and kind! Why shouldn’t he care about others?
A person says, “I’m more comfortable there because no one cares what I do.” Why? Actually, you should go to a place where everyone cares about you and helps you! This is what will captivate the west. It’s the culture of religion. The world is waiting to see this. You see a small example of this in Arbaeen.

Our condolences to all the believers, all across the world, wherever they are, upon the holy months of Muharram and Safar.
This year, countless millions across the world once again proudly commemorated the mission of Imam Husayn ibn Ali (A) and most eagerly mourned over the martyrdom of Imam Husayn (A), and his family members and companions who accompanied his eminence into the divine hands of martyrdom as they stood up for Truth and Justice against the overwhelming forces of evil and falsehood.
And once again, millions of people gathered around the pivot of Imam Husayn (A) on the Day of Arbaeen, commemorating the 40th day after his martyrdom.
We spoke previously about the \\\\\\\"Project of Towheed\\\\\\\" in our IP Talk Show titled \\\\\\\"What Is Allah\\\\\\\'s Universal Project of Towheed?\\\\\\\"
Yet, why would Allah want to establish His divine rule upon the material realm in the first place?
And what is the only way for human beings to reach existential excellence?
What is submission out of free will?
And what happens to a human being when they submit to Allah out of their free will?
And what model has Allah put forth for humanity when Allah wanted to show the pinnacle and perfection of a human being achieved via Towheed?
Have the modern-day systems of the world provided any tranquility to the world in general or even their own nations?
What country is the poster-boy for modern materialism, while boasting of one of the highest levels of mental depression?
And what happens to a person when they don\\\\\\\'t have holistic knowledge about a certain matter; and what are its repercussions when it comes to the \\\\\\\'creation\\\\\\\' of sciences?
What is known as the \\\\\\\'Search for Objectivity\\\\\\\'?
And what happens when theories put forth aren\\\\\\\'t done so in an objective manner; and worse, they are done without Taqwa, i.e. God-consciousness?
What are some interesting points vis-à-vis the Church and the State, the role of women in Western civilization, and the feminism movement?
When it comes to the proverb, \\\\\\\'power corrupts and absolute power, corrupts absolutely\\\\\\\' is it applicable to any and all situations; and how does it apply to the theory of Wilayat al-Faqih?
And how is the saying, \\\\\\\'everything that happens, happens in the kitchen\\\\\\\' and the \\\\\\\'Revolving Door Policy\\\\\\\' applicable to the governmental establishment of the United States of America?
And what does Noam Chomsky say about the façade of a liberal media?
Is social media the democratization of information, especially when keeping in mind the amount of censorship that takes place?
What is an interesting point as regards to hollow and superficial slogans of the Taghut powers, such as freedom, leisure, and even peace?
And furthermore, what is the definition of peace in the dictionary of the Taghut powers of the world?
And what is one of the fundamental themes of the global Taghut powers?
What happens to an individual when they begin to speak out against the system of the global Taghut powers?
And what does it mean that the leader of a country ends up, in one way or the other, becoming that nation\\\\\\\'s \\\\\\\'Chief Educator\\\\\\\'?
And finally, how are all of these different questions, in one way or the other, related to Shaytan\\\\\\\'s project of fierce and deadly opposition to the \\\\\\\'Project of Towheed\\\\\\\'?
In order to answer these questions and more, we humbly invited Sayyid Agha Ali Raza from the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to help explain and answer for us, \\\\\\\"What Is Shaytan\\\\\\\'s Evil Project Against Towheed?\\\\\\\"

Has it ever happened to you that your paycheck just rolled in and you have got some real money in your metaphorical pocket?
Well, what should you do with that extra money you have?
Should you spend it all on some new clothes, a new watch, some new shoes, perhaps some make-up or even a video game?
And if you\'re really well-off, you just might be a new car.
But is there another place where we need to be spending our money?
What place is that and what is at stake if we don\'t pay up?
Well, in this One Minute Wisdom, Sayyid Shahryar uses the wise words of Imam Ja\'far al-Sadiq (A) to shed a little light on what we need to do with all that money we have in our metaphorical pockets.

With all the different current events going on in the world, we all really need a funny, relaxed, refreshing, and yet eye-opening commentary on it all.
Sayyid Shahryar\'s here to humbly shed a little insight into all that\'s going on around the world; past, present, and perhaps even future.
In this episode of \'Keepin\' It Real\', we\'re going to be talking about Thanksgiving in our Thanksgiving special, so \'Can You Please Pass the Turkey?!\', as you watch our part 1 of 2 episode titled \'Can You Please Pass the Turkey?!\'.
But seriously, what is the reality of this almost mythical event that is celebrating yearly in the United States of America, and is commonly known as \'Thanksgiving\'?
And according to the \'Thanksgiving\' myth, where and when did the first glorious \'Thanksgiving\' take place?
According to the myth of \'Thanksgiving\', who were the people that attended this mythical first \'Thanksgiving\'?
And despite it being an incredibly derogatory term, who does the term \'Injuns\' refer to?
According to the myth of \'Thanksgiving\', how long did the first mythical \'Thanksgiving\' take; i.e. how many days?
Yet, despite this crazy colonialist propaganda regarding the mythical \'Thanksgiving\', what is the actual historical truth about the first \'Thanksgiving\'?
And if the accurate history of the Native Americans was taught in American universities and schools, would we at \'Keepin\' It Real\' even have to talk about the subject?
What does Mr. Phillip Deloria, scholar of Native American History at Harvard\'s History Department say about the aforementioned question?
According to certain historians, for how many years were the Native Americans living in the Americas, which includes the United States of America?
(hint: well over 10,000 years!)
What was the name of the Native American tribe that lived in the area of Massachusetts when the infamous Pilgrims arrived and were present in the area when the first historical \'Thanksgiving\' took place?
Who was Chief Ousamequin and what does the Native American term \'Sachem\' mean?
What does Illuminative.org have to say about all this?
What was \'Indian Fever\', where did it come from, and approximately how many Native Americans were killed by it?
What was \'King Phillips War\', who was \'King Phillip\', approximately how many people died in this war, and why would we bring it up in this episode where we\'re talking about the myth of \'Thanksgiving\'?
What in the world is a \'Moniker\' and what is its relation to white racist supremacism in the context of \'King Phillip\'?
And why are Native Americans incorrectly known as \'Indians\' and what does Christopher Columbus have to do with this colossal mishap?
And finally, [thank God], who is Chief Metacomet and why do we call him Chief Metacomet ibn Ousamequin, and in the end, what happened to his head and his tribal allies?
And please forgive the Islamic Pulse team, because we really do try to keep the host of \'Keepin\' It Real\' from talking this much.
And yes, we know, the correct spelling of \'Thanksgiving\' is not \'Tanksgiving\'. but thanks for your help anyways.
And kindly don\'t forget to watch our Thanksgiving Special conclusionary episode titled \'Can You Please Pass the Turkey Again?!\' [Emphasis on the \'Again?!\'], which will be released much sooner than you expect.
Hey, we\'re just \"Keepin\' It Real\".

Will you sacrifice everything you have because of the love you have for the Savior of Humanity (A), Imam al-Mahdi (A)?
With the celebration of the birth anniversary of the 12th divinely appointed Imam, Imam al-Mahdi (A) still fresh in the air, we must keep in mind and heart and soul to \"Self-Sacrifice If You Love Imam Mahdi (A)\".
Why would one want to self-sacrifice for Imam Mahdi (A) in the first place?
What does the 6th divinely appointed Imam, Imam Ja\'far al-Sadiq (A) say about the true companions of the Imam al-Mahdi (A)?
Sister Spade explains and answers these questions and more, based upon selections from the book, The Essence of Creation, 3rd edition.
And remember, when all things fall in their proper place, and a little help from the Almighty Allah, it becomes all so natural to \"Self-Sacrifice If You Love Imam Mahdi (A)\".

Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei narrates and explains a tradition narrated from Imam Muhammad ibn Ali al-Baqir (A) who quotes Jabir ibn Abdullah al-Ansari, the esteemed companion of the Messenger of Allah (S), who in turn quotes the holy Prophet Muhammad (S), where his eminence (S) speaks about the people that are fortunate.
What is the meaning of the Arabic word \\\'Infaq\\\'?
Who are the fortunate ones when it comes to spending their wealth?
What is the importance of spending ones\\\' wealth in balanced way?
What is the proper understanding of the term \\\'balance\\\'?
When one spends their wealth in a balanced way, and then there is some that is left over, what should one do with that wealth?
And what does the holy Prophet (S) say about speaking too much, which in this context means to speak out of place?
What is the correct understanding of speaking out of place?
What are some other instances of people that are considered to be fortunate?
And finally, what does it mean when it is said that \\\"Spending Ones\\\' Wealth In A Balanced Way\\\" is highly recommended, and that the people who do are considered to be fortunate?
Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei expounds upon the wise words of the Messenger of Allah (S), the holy Prophet Muhammad (S), where his eminence (S) speaks about the people that are fortunate and \\\"Spending Ones\\\' Wealth In A Balanced Way\\\".

This documentary tells the story of Gamal Nasser and Prime Minister Eden wrestling over the control of the Suez Canal. Israel as always plays the role of a STAB IN THE HEART of the Muslim world in this crisis. ---------- FROM WIKIPEDIA SUEZ CRISIS THE PROTOCOL OF SEVRES Three months after Egypts nationalization of the canal company a secret meeting took place at Sevres outside Paris. Britain and France enlisted Israeli support for an alliance against Egypt. The parties agreed that Israel would invade the Sinai. Britain and France would then intervene instructing that both the Israeli and Egyptian armies withdraw their forces to a distance of 16 km from either side of the canal. The British and French would then argue that Egypts control of such an important route was too tenuous and that it need be placed under Anglo-French management. - The interests of the parties were various. Britain was anxious lest it lose access to the remains of its empire. France was nervous about the growing influence that Nasser exerted on its North African colonies and protectorates. Both Britain and France were eager that the canal should remain open as an important conduit of oil. Israel wanted to reopen the canal to Israeli shipping and saw the opportunity to strengthen its southern border and to weaken a dangerous and hostile state. - Prior to the operation Britain deliberately neglected to take counsel with the Americans trusting instead that Nassers engagement with communist states would persuade the Americans to accept British and French actions if they were presented as a fait accompli. This proved to be a fatal miscalculation for the colonial powers. --
