This is the root of all sadness, unrest, anxiety, and depression!
God dislikes a person who acts indifferently towards Godâs Kindness. For example, a verse says, âCall on Me and I will answer you.â(Qurâan, 40:60) This is a display of kindness. âCall on Me and I will answer you.â Immediately, the Almighty God says in this same verse, âThose who are too proud to worship Me shall enter Hell utterly abject.â Iâm telling you My dear to call on Me and I will answer you. A person says, âOk, later.â God calls this being too proud to worship.
Do you know what the punishment of Hell is for? It is not for some rules that you didnât obey! Is God like a policeman or the rules for driving?! No! Hell is for being bold against someone who is kind! This brings punishment. The Imam (âa) has sworn that, âPeople wonât be saved from their sins unless they confess to them.â Say what your problem is. Have your realized it? If youâve realized it, Iâll save you.
Now we want to say, âGod we have a problem. Our problem is that we havenât believed in Your Kindness. We have no understanding about Your Mercy, and we donât pay attention or benefit from it. My whole life has been spent being indifferent about Your Kindness. All of my concerns are due to being indifferent about Your Kindness. All of my depression, all of my attachments to things, are due to being indifferent about Your Kindness.â An Arabic poem says, âYour sin is from within, which no sin can be compared with.â How should I repent from this?
I live without understanding Your Kindness! I am not sure that You are kind and will give my sustenance. I donât work in order to create something, because of Your order, and for Your satisfaction! I say, âI should work; otherwise, Iâll stay hungry. What are you saying?!â My life is based on not believing in Your Kindness. I argue with this person and that person due to not believing in Your Kindness. I think they can take something from me.
I am jealous due to not believing in Your Kindness. I think someone else has taken my share. God says, âI have kept your share. Why are your jealous? Forget them!â I feel a lack of affection due to not believing in Your Kindness. I feel lonely due to not believing in Your Kindness. I go after worthless entertainments because I donât believe in Your Kindness to be able to enjoy Your Kindness. I go somewhere else to enjoy. I donât believe in Your Kindness; otherwise, I would have become a good person.
What will happen if we believe in Godâs Kindness? Suddenly we will see all of Godâs actions to be due to His Kindness. When we look at the stars, we will start crying. When we look at the mountains, plains, and deserts, we will start crying. When we see a child, we will start crying. When we see an old man hunched over and walking with a cane, we will start crying. God! You love all of these. You have created all of them. You give sustenance to all of them. When we see the birds flying, we will start crying. We will live!
Our problem is that we havenât believed in Your Kindness. We have no understanding about Your Mercy, and we donât pay attention or benefit from it. I donât believe in Your Kindness; otherwise, I would have become a good person.

Why is this world so attractive for us, but Heaven isnât?
My friends, the world entices us, right? What element of the world entices a person? Tell me, what causes us to become interested in this world and not pay attention to the Hereafter?
âHeaven doesnât entice us, but the world does.â Answer me. âEntertainments.â There are better entertainments in Heaven. Itâs accessible now, right? How many of you agree? Itâs accessible now. Believe me; it would take 10 sessions for me to make it clear for you that the accessibility of the world doesnât attract a person!
Because, each flower in the world has terrible thorns that only ruin a personâs mood. You should look at this world correctly, this accessible world. Eating causes an unpleasantness that weâre not willing to mention in the meeting. You would stop eating. You wonât enjoy sleeping, which is like dying, anymore. Donât talk about the world being accessible. Being accessible is ineffective. âSince the Hereafter is on credit, it doesnât attract us.â Look! Itâs just us talking here. Lying has a limit. You know how young, unmarried people think about marriage. They think, âWow! Thereâll be a lot going on in the future.â
The enjoyment from our imaginings is more than the actuality. Therefore, the accessibility of the world is not attracting you. The Hereafter being on credit doesnât push you away. Whatâs the problem? Remembering the world ruins us. The accessibility of the world doesnât ruin us! Its memory ruins us. Remembering the accessible world makes us interested in it. Will we become interested in the Hereafter without remembering it?!
Make remembering the Hereafter a part of your life. Then, see if the accessible world affects you. I swear, it wonât have an effect. What should we do to remember the Hereafter more? Imam Baqir (âa) said, âRecite at least 50 verses of the Qurâan every day. Recite it at 14 different times, donât recite it once and put it aside.â Basically, the Qurâan is a book, which reminds of the Hereafter. It takes a person to Heaven or Hell in each moment, and brings him or her back.
What causes us to keep our distance from the Hereafter? Not remembering it. The Qurâan is the best program. Remembering the world ruins us. Make remembering the Hereafter a part of your life. Then, see if the accessible world affects you. I swear, it wonât have an effect.

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani says political solution is the only way to put an end to violence in Syria.
Rouhani also said the international community has reached the conclusion that military intervention is not a solution to the Syrian crisis, and THAT is a good sign. He made the remarks during a meeting with the visiting UN-Arab League Special Envoy for Syria. Lakhdar Brahimi for his part said that he always defends Iran\'s participation in the Geneva 2 talks. The UN-Arab League Special Envoy for Syria said yesterday that Iran\'s participation in the Geneva talks is QUOTE natural, necessary, and fruitful. Brahimi\'s visit to Tehran is part of his Middle East tour to lobby support for the meeting. A coffeemaker is a kitchen appliance used to brew coffee without having to boil water in a separate container. While there are many different types of coffeemaker using a number of different brewing principles, in the most common devices, coffee grounds are placed in a paper or metal filter inside a funnel, which is set over a glass or ceramic coffee pot. Cold water is poured into a separate chamber, which is then heated up to the boiling point, and directed into the funnel. This is also called automatic drip-brew.

[13 July 2012] Is Islamic banking applicable in today economy - English
After the baking crisis of 2008 and the collapse of financial markets, doubts have emerged on the capability of the modern financial model to sustain a healthy economy. With the failure of both capitalism and communism, some experts, especially in Muslim countries are looking at Islam to find an alternative model. Islam's strong prohibition of usury (Riba) in particular is seen as a new foundation for a healthy banking system and consequently a sustainable and fairer economy. Other Islamic institutions like zakat and waqf (endowments) have potential economical functions.
In recent years Islamic Banking for example, has been tried with some success in some of Muslim countries and even in Britain. British Financial Services Authority estimates the assets controlled by Islamic banks at the global level to be $200-500bn which is growing at a pace of 10-15% per year. With prospect of about 12 million Muslims living in EU, Islamic financial and economical model is a feasible solution for the future. This week's Islam and Life asks: Are the principles of Islamic banking applicable in today's economy?

While length and rules differ, the act of fasting, abstaining from food or from certain types of food is prescribed in all major world religions today.
One of the pillars of the religion of Islam is indeed fasting; whereby Muslims are told to fast from dawn till dusk for a period of 30 days, in a month named Ramadan.
Though it may seem a harsh or peculiar act, fasting in Islam is performed to attain closeness to Allah and has been described as one of the best deeds by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Fasting has also provides experience of hunger and thirst to the believers and thus develops a deeper understanding and sympathy to those in poorer parts of the world.

On June 25 a number of important players will meet in Dakar to discuss issues related to the International Criminal Court. Senegal is one of many African states that were early supporters of the court as an institution to make a decisive push in the fight against impunity.
Participants at the discussion in include high-level representatives from a number of French-speaking African countries. The ICC has received a lot of international attention in recent years due to a number of controversial cases being brought to its jurisdiction.
The fact that the cases have all been African has brought the credibility of the court into question, but there is no denying that it is now becoming a major force in Africa\'s desire to resolve issues of human rights abuses.
Another important factor is that a number of States have given practical votes of confidence to the court, in the form of referrals concerning crimes within their own territories - notably Uganda, the Democratic Republic of Congo, the Central African Republic, Mali and Comoros.
The states that have made these referrals have demonstrated confidence that the ICC will be able to investigate crimes when the states themselves are not in a position to do so.

Iraqi prime minister Nuri al-Maliki warns that his country is facing QUOTE \"a war of genocide\" which is targeting all of its components.
Maliki blamed al-Qaeda for a wave of unrest that has gripped Iraq for the past months. He said attacks by the terrorist group has killed Iraqi citizens and destroyed their houses. However, he warned, that a front formed of different components will confront the terrorists. Comments by the Iraqi prime minister came as over four dozen people were killed in two days of attacks across the country. The attacks were the latest in violence that has surged in Iraq over the past year. The UN says the unrest has left more than five-thousand people dead between January and September alone.

[24 May 2012] What is view of Islam on building Christian churches in Muslim lands - English
A recent fatwa issued by a Wahhabi mufti calls for destruction of all churches in the Arabian Peninsula. He issued the fatwa in late March 2012 in response to a Kuwaiti lawmaker who asked if Kuwait could ban church construction in Kuwait. The fatwa paves the way for adding an article to the new Kuwaiti constitution that forbids building of new churches. Ahl al-Bait assembly condemns the fatwa saying that it is contrary to both Shia and Sunni traditions, and has no precedence in Islamic jurisprudential schools.
The assembly also slams the "deadly silence" of Muslim scholars in the face of such fatwa that distort the image of Islam. It also criticizes international human right organizations as well as Western and Christian governments for their support of Saudi regime and Wahhabi doctrine. The chairman of a group of European Catholic Bishops slams the Saudi Mufti by saying that his fatwa "shows no respect for the religious freedom and free co-existence of religions". This week's Islam and Life asks: What is the view of Islam on building Christian churches in Muslim lands?

[22 June 2012] Egypt What is happening And what should happen Comment - English
Thousands of angry Egyptians have camped out in the historic square since Wednesday, calling on the military council to quit power immediately as the electoral authorities delayed the announcement of the final results of the presidential run-off on Thursday as scheduled. Egypt's election committee said on Wednesday they want to look into all complaints from the two candidates before making an announcement. The protesters say the move could be a sign that the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (SCAF) is trying to declare former premier Ahmed Shafiq the winner.
Egyptians cast their ballots in a two-day presidential runoff election on June 16 and 17, which pitted the candidate of the Muslim Brotherhood's Freedom and Justice Party, Mohammed Morsi, against Shafiq. On June 18, a member of the Egyptian Electoral Committee confirmed that Morsi is in the lead in the country's run-off presidential election. Early on the day, the Brotherhood had declared Morsi's victory over Shafiq in the voting. Officials from the group had said that Morsi has won 52.5 percent of the counted ballots.
