Rouhani made the comment in a telephone conversation with Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al Maliki. The Iranian president said such attacks aim to sow discord among the Iraqi people and damage the growing relations between Baghdad and Tehran. Rouhani said countries that have had a hand in such incidents should be held accountable. Egyptian security forces have fired tear gas at dozens of university students outside their Cairo campus. The violence broke out when the students tried to reach the nearby Defense Ministry building.
Dozens of students pelted security forces with rocks, while some picked up tear gas canisters and threw them back. The students were demonstrating outside Ain Shams University in eastern Cairo as part of a widening protest movement at universities against the military-backed government. With these actions, supporters of ousted president Mohamed Morsi have been keeping up the pressure on the authorities. Perhaps it would be hard for any country with easy access to abundant oil and gas resources, to adapt itself with a parsimonious pattern of energy consumption. This is what is happening in Iran. In fact the country sees no alternative but to move towards clean renewable energy, at a time when most of its large cities are struggling with environmental pollution.
This is the sixth year that companies from Iran and a number of foreign countries gather in the renewable energy exhibition to display their latest achievements based on clean and efficient energy. The main objective of the event is to promote the use of energy from non fossil fuel resources such as solar panels, wind turbines and geothermal heat. Some experts believe that a considerable shift from oil and gas to clean alternative substitutes is far from reach in a short time period.

A new video has emerged on YouTube depicting the latest brutality of the Saudi-backed Al Khalifa regime forces against the Bahraini people.
The video shows the Bahraini security forces kicking a door in and firing tear gas into a house only to flee the scene seconds later in their police vans.
Security forces on Friday resorted to violence once more, in an attempt to disperse a rally of anti-regime protesters who have been calling for an end of the Al Khalifa regime, a Press TV correspondent reported.
The anti-regime demonstrations on Friday led to one woman being killed and several others being injured.
Meanwhile, human rights groups have condemned Manama's political ploy in initiating national dialogue, saying the move is aimed at influencing the international community.
They argued that the Bahraini regime is continuing its severe repression of protesters despite the ongoing national talks launched earlier this month.
Human Rights Watch has also urged Manama to probe the dismissal of thousands of workers from state-linked firms and government jobs over participation in anti-government protests earlier this year.
Thousands of anti-government protesters have been waging protest rallies in Bahrain since mid-February, demanding an end to the Al Khalifa rule, which has been in power for over 40 years.
In mid-March, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates deployed their military forces in crisis-hit Bahrain to assist the Manama regime in its brutal crackdown on popular protests.
Scores of protesters have been killed -- many under torture -- and numerous others detained and transferred to unknown locations during the regime's brutal onslaught on protesters.

Scores of people have been injured as riot police in Bangladesh used tear gas and rubber bullets against opposition supporters on the third and final day of a general strike.
A senior officer was seriously injured in the capital Dhaka when protesters hurled a small explosive device at a group of riot police. At least 16 people have been killed in political violence since Friday. The main opposition party led by former premier Khaleda Zia, who has close relations with military leaders, is demanding that a caretaker administration oversee an election scheduled for January. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has instead proposed an all-party interim government led by her to oversee the January polls. She says previous caretaker governments have paved the way for a military coup.

In Egypt, police fire tear gas on a student rally in support of ousted president Mohamed Morsi at Cairo\'s al-Azhar University.
The Egyptian interior ministry says eleven al-Azhar students and 14 others from other universities have been arrested. For several weeks now, the students have been demonstrating at the country\'s top institution for Islamic teachings against the army\'s ouster of the first democratically-elected president in early July. This, after the head of al-Azhar University had called on the police to enter campus grounds. Earlier, security forces arrested Essam al-Arian, a senior Muslim Brotherhood figure, after storming his house. Arian was the most senior Brotherhood figure on the run after the arrest of nearly all of the group\'s top leaders.

Turkish riot police have attacked anti-government protesters with water cannons, tear gas, and plastic bullets in Istanbul.
The angry protesters were calling for the resignation of Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his government. More than 30 people were arrested in the clashes around Istanbul\\\'s Taksim Square. Similar demonstrations were held in the city of Izmir, and in the capital, Ankara, where police also fired water cannons to disperse the crowds.

Speaking to a group of pilgrims at Imam Ridh\'a (a.s.) shrine in the city of Mashhad, Ayatollah Khamenei the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution said that the main goal of the political campaigns and military threats by America and other foreign countries is to intimidate and disappoint the people of Iran.
Ayatollah Khamenei stated that the angry threats made by the enemies against the Iranian nation throughout the year 1390 are indicative of the failure of their actions. He added: \"The US government\'s agents started a campaign throughout the world in order to implement the sanctions and separate the people of Iran from the Islamic Republic, but these efforts will not get them anywhere.\"
The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution said that the nuclear issue and human rights are not the real reason behind the enemies\' hostility, further adding that the main reason behind the enmities of the bullying powers is that the Islamic Republic is safeguarding the great oil and gas resources of Iran.
\"Those who think that backing down in the nuclear issue will put an end to America\'s enmity are suffering from lack of vigilance because there are certain countries in the region that have nuclear weapons, but America does not show any sensitivity to them. Therefore, the nuclear issue and human rights are not the real reason behind the enmity of the bullying powers, rather the main reason behind these enmities is that the Islamic Republic and the Iranian people proudly protect Iran\'s oil and gas resources.\"
His Eminence said that western countries are highly dependent on oil and gas resourcesand added: \"They know that their own oil resources will last for at most another 10 years and that their survival will depend on the oil resources in other parts of the world, especially in the Persian Gulf region. For this reason, it is extremely important for them to dominate oil-rich countries, especially the Islamic Republic of Iran.\"
The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution said that the Americans wrongly think that they can force the Islamic Republic to back down through their threats and sanctions. He warned that the Americans will have to pay for this big mistake.
Ayatollah Khamenei said that America\'s situation is precarious and added: \"The current US President came to power with the slogan of change and the people of America voted for him, hoping that their situation would improve. However, on the economic front, today America has a huge debt and is suffering from many problems. On the social front, the Wall Street movement is in full swing in America. On the political front, America\'s situation in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Egypt and North Africa is far worse than the past.\"
His Eminence added: \"Of course, the Americans might do dangerous or crazy things. We stress that we do not have a nuclear weapon and that we will not produce one, but we also announce that in case America or the Zionist regime attacks us, we will attack them on the same level that they attack us.\"
Elsewhere in his statements, Ayatollah Khamenei called on all Iranians to avoid consuming foreign products the equivalents of which are also produced inside the country.
