What were the ethical and moral models that preceded the holy Messenger of Allah, the holy Prophet Muhammad (S)?
And according to Allamah Tabatabai, what was the ethical and moral model that was brought by the holy Prophet Muhammad (S)?
And what does the word Towheed, Islamic monotheism, mean in the aforementioned context?
What is the purpose of entertainment?
Finally, what life-giving aspect has the Muslim Ummah ignored in the present-day?
To answer these questions and more, we invited Sayyid Muhammad Hashemi from the Islamic Republic of Iran to speak with us about the great event of the Be\'that, which occurs on the 27th of Rajab.
Congratulations to the believers across the world on this great Eid, the blessed occasion of the Be\'that, a day when the world was given \"A New Ethical Model\" by the Almighty Allah.

A Turning Point in History: the Be\'that | IP Talk Show | English
What does the word \\\"Be\\\'that\\\" mean in the Arabic language?

What does the word \\\"Be\\\'that\\\" mean in the Arabic language?
And where does this word appear when found in the holy Qur\\\'an?
What was the event of Be\\\'that all about?
Why did the Be\\\'that occur when the holy Prophet Muhammad (S) was at the age of 40?
And what were the qualities of the Messenger of Allah, before the Be\\\'that, according to both friend and foe?
Finally, how can the Be\\\'that be a source of unity for all Muslims?
In order to answer these questions, we invited Shaykh Muhammad Husayn from Trinidad and Tobago to speak with us about the 27th of Rajab, the Be\\\'that of the Messenger of Allah, the holy Prophet Muhammad (S).

There is a beautiful tradition narrated from a man named Nauf. He said, “I saw Imam Ali (as) turn away from everyone and move away quickly and eagerly.” Have you seen when someone is pursuing something he likes how he moves away from others? He doesn’t say goodbye ten times. He‘s like an arrow that has been shot from a bow! This is a description of how the Imam went away.
The man asked him, “Where are you going?” It was midnight when he saw the Commander of the Faithful, Ali (as), leaving! Now see how the Imam said he wanted to go pray the Midnight Prayer and worship. [The Imam said,] “Nauf, leave me. Indeed my longings take me to the presence of my beloved.”
O Imam, may I be sacrificed for you. Worshiping to you is going toward your longings, right? May I be sacrificed for you. It’s obvious that this worshiping is fun and enjoyable for you.
“I said, ‘My master, what are your longings?’ The Imam said, ‘The One Who should know, the One Whom I long for knows this Himself. I don’t need to tell this to anyone else.’”
See how the Commander of the Faithful talked. This is how he was. Nauf said, “O Commander of the Faithful, I’m afraid of my greed...”He saw Imam Ali’s (as) position. He looked at himself and said he’s afraid! Nauf was a good person. He saw Imam Ali’s (as) longings and what was fun to him. So Nauf said he was afraid of his own greed for this world. He saw that he didn’t have that same enthusiasm the Imam had for worshiping. He asked what he should do. The Imam (as) was surprised.
The Imam said, “Why don’t you take refuge with He Who protects those who are afraid and is the shelter of the mystics?” Why don’t you get help from God? He gives refuge. If you’re truly afraid, He gives refuge to those who are afraid. Get help from God Himself! He is the shelter of the mystics. You understood you’re not in a good situation? You understood there is a better situation? He is the shelter of the mystics. He gives refuge Himself. Why do you ask the Imam?
What a truly high-level conversation. It is very beautiful and mystical. Nauf said, “Guide me to Him.” I don’t know how to read the words of the Commander of the Faithful (as). The Imam said, “He is the Exalted and Great God. Attach your longings to His good grace.” This is how worshiping becomes something fun and enjoyable! See the Commander of the Faithful’s (as) outlook. The Exalted and Great God will take you to your longings. Don’t you want to be like this?! So ask Him. God will take you to your longings. [The Imam said,] “Don’t you want to worship God like me?!” The Imam didn’t say, “like me.” I’m saying it like this. Don’t you want to worship God like the Imam? God will take you to your longings.
What is worshiping my dear ones? Worshiping means you talk about your longings with God and He takes you to them. O God, so worshiping is fun and enjoyable.

What is among the most important, if not the most important matter that the youth of the present-day must address?
And how does the aforementioned matter play a role as regards to the youth\'s responsibility towards the 12th Imam (A)?
What is \'Management By Objective\" and how does it relate to our discussion?
And how important must spirituality be in a Muslim\'s daily life?
How does focusing on the 12th Imam (A) help us to get close to Allah?
How does the term \'No pain, no gain\' apply to our discussion?
What are just a few ways that Shaytan diverts our attention from Allah; especially when it comes to media and entertainment?
Have we ever thought about how many times a day we check our social media as compared to how many times we \'check\' the holy Quran?
What is a fundamental question that we must ask ourselves before we do anything; and how does this question help us to increase our spirituality?
What will be the fundamental basis and characteristic of the people in the army of Imam Mahdi (A)?
What is a very peculiar, yet frightening tradition from the Imams (A), as regards to the \'End of Times\'?
And what is a profound tradition from the Messenger of Allah (S) where he (S) says that if a Muslim doesn\'t have this one quality, then they aren\'t even a Muslim?
What does it mean when we say that we should be in control of our electronic devices, and not that our electronic devices control us?
What is a practical thing that all families can do, in order to increase their connection to one another, their connection to the 12th Imam (A), and ultimately, their connection to Allah?
How can appreciating nature increase our spirituality and bring us closer to Allah?
What role does the community and doing things together have to play, as regards to moving upon the path of Allah?
And ultimately, the future belongs to what segment of our Muslim Ummah?
In order to answer these questions and more, we humbly invited Shaykh Shafiq Huda from the Canada to come and speak with us about \"A Youth\'s Responsibility Towards the 12th Imam (A)\"?

This presentation visualized in the context of Pakistan is based on a poem by Ibn Insha. I read somewhere that he wrote this poem after seeing an image of a starving child in Ethiopia in the 70s. ----
FRIENDS - LET THIS not come as a surprise to you. This is the reality of the world where, according to U.N. estimates, one billion people in the world daily suffer from hunger and malnutrition, and their situation is not getting any better. About 24000 people die every day from hunger or hunger related causes. Three-fourths of the deaths are children under the age of five. -- HOW YOU CAN HELP - Don't waste natural resources. Be thankful to God for His gifts and blessings. Be mindful of your responsibility toward other human beings. Think about what the Prophet -pbuh- would do. Have mercy and compassion toward all humankind. Next time you spend money on those unnecessary luxuries of your life think for a moment about the plight of the poor and oppressed around the world. Be aware of the materialistic forces and the contradictions of the dominant economic systems that are at the roots of global inequality. Don't become a part of this system. Don't become a slave of consumerism and endless materialistic rat-race -- Among other things join a local organization that is working against structural and subtle forms of oppression like hunger, poverty, illiteracy, domestic violence, anorexia and bulimia and their connection to media, mass entertainment, perfect body images, etc. If there isn't any - start one today! -- You can also look into doing online activism. Check out moveon.org's work for ideas. Some online organizations also invite web surfers to click on their sites regularly. They say every click earns them revenue to support their causes. The Hunger Site is an example. Some may also invite you to buy their T-shirts and other souvenirs. I guess you can buy these items if you think they can help spread the word and encourage people to join a good cause. Otherwise in general more shopping and more consumption cannot be a solution to human suffering. And its not a good idea to sell consumers to products through clicks or ads. That feeds into the same loop of consumerism. My suggestion - Adopt Simplicity and Donate directly! And encourage others to do the same! - Lastly remember the advice IMAM ALI gave in his LAST WILL ---- MY ADVICE to you is to be conscious of Allah and steadfast in your religion. Do not yearn for the world and do not be seduced by it. Do not resent anything you have missed in it. Proclaim the truth - work for the next world. Oppose the oppressor and support the oppressed.---- Become a friend and supporter of the oppressed people and an enemy of the oppressors and all forms of oppression!

The USA has been colonized by the Israeli Terror State. This has been accomplished without Israel having fired a single shot. Instead, Israel's agents bought up all of the news and entertainment businesses during the early part of the 20th century and used it to silence all opposition with endless propaganda tossed in newsprint upon America's lawns and later sprewed from radio's and TV's in their homes and automobiles. Every minute of the day, the media poison flows through the soul of each America, all of it orchestrated by Zionist subversive writers, producers, owners, and performers. In addition, the Rothschild banks pushed Woodrow Wilson and Congress into creating a privately owned and operated Zionist banking system which is called The Federal Reserve which is run by born Zionists and not by the 98% of the nation that is non-Zionist by birth. Also, Zionists infiltrated the Christian Churches and perverted the Christian faith into becoming an operative of Israel by owning all of the cable networks and radio stations which Christian would need to rent if they wanted to reach their people over the airwaves and cable channels. These minister found that the successful cable churches had to preach pro-Israeli perversions of their religion to gain a spot on the air, so they did that to further their opportunities to reach people. The churches changed to fit their new Master, the Zionist media goons who only wanted to deal with Christian friends of Israel. It was all so easy. Even the Iraq war costing trillions of dollars feel into the hands of the Israeli Neocons in the White House. So easy. If a Congressman complained, all the rich Zionists had to do was spend a few dollars, and, in a few years he would be replaced by their own Congressman of choice. So easy. Taking over America was like stealing from little children. Once they owned the banks and the federal reserve, the nation of America was theirs to do with as they wished.

Choose Freedom - Consume Less - All Languages
Freedom from the rat race for bigger, better, faster, more. Freedom from big corporations telling you and determining for you what you should have, what you should wear, how you should look, feel,...
Freedom from the rat race for bigger, better, faster, more. Freedom from big corporations telling you and determining for you what you should have, what you should wear, how you should look, feel, walk, talk, and interact with others. How: By consuming less, by adopting modesty and simplicity, prioritizing relationships over possessions, genuinely caring for humanity, changing standards of 'success', 'fulfillment', and 'beauty', and bringing spirituality in life. They can be truly liberating and expose one to things and experiences that are 'real' and substantially much more 'meaningful'. The concern here is more than just becoming better environment-n-social-justice conscious consumers. It's consumerism itself: to not be dependent on consuming things to find fulfillment in life. In the clip, I especially liked how sight, sound, and smell are contrasted to project the difference between the 'real' and 'artificial'.
On TV: TV can have both good and bad uses. The technology is not in question here. The concern would be the content (what is shown on it?). The concern is also how we regard material possessions (have they become the most fundamental preoccupation in our lives? does having them make any difference in how we measure our 'success' and 'self-worth'?). The concern is also excessive indulgence: I don't think it's very constructive if for someone TV becomes the only or primary form of entertainment or pass-time, and the person ignores (or never discovers) the 'real' experience and joy of being close to nature, in good people's company, helping people in need, etc.
