Syrian soldiers have discovered explosive devices and ammunition left behind by militants in the western farms of Qara in the Damascus countryside. The army managed to seize the town and force militants out after fierce clashes earlier this month. Army units continue to make gains against foreign-backed insurgents in different parts of the country. In its latest drive, the army has made fresh advances in the suburbs of the strategic cities of Aleppo and Idlib. The hope of the believing man lies in the hereafter, which is his home. When man discovers his reality through the Signs and the message of the Prophets then he becomes a witness and sees things in a different way. This brings us the knowledge of God. God wants to make Himself known. However, man\'s problem is that he wants to know Him through the 5 physical senses. In the beginning, God wanted to make Himself known and loved, which is why He created the creation. How can we know God and come to know Him? Especially when we discover a truth, we remain fixed to this truth whereas God wants his creature to be always in search so that he is in a continuous process of renewal. Going towards God is a process that requires a lot of effort and endurance. This quest requires a readiness to sacrifice the great convictions within us. Man must be prepared to give up everything in order for God to bestow His knowledge upon him. What are the purposes of the divine Word? What are the purposes of all the stories told in the Book? One of the purposes is to make oneself known through the Book. Our Imams tell us that if we want to discuss with God then we must read the Book. How do we get to this level and stage of reading? God wants to bring us to that stage where when we read it, God speaks to us and makes Himself known. If we become aware of this, then we enter a dimension where we get to know God and God reveals himself to us.
