Palestinians in the occupied West Bank as well as in major Israeli cities have held solidarity rallies, which as expected, were faced with heavy-handed violence. Israeli soldiers and extremists have been brutalizing Palestinians in cities like Haifa and Lod. Egyptians voted on Wednesday for the second and final day of the referendum on the country\'s new constitution. The first day of the vote was marred by deadly violence that left eleven dead after anti-coup protesters clashed with police forces in a number of governorates.
Supporters of the Muslim Brotherhood Movement headed to the Ithadiya presidential palace to voice their refusal of the voting process that they label as illegitimate coming after the military overthrow of elected president Mohamed Morsi from power. The protests turned violent after clashes erupted at a train station and near the presidential palace in Cairo before spreading to other areas.

The Iraqi prime minister is calling for a strong International position against the countries supporting al-Qaeda-linked terrorists. He has also urged the world to drain the terrorist\'s financial resources.
Maliki was referring to a fresh wave of violence which left at least 75 civilians and security forces dead across the country on Wednesday. The attacks are believed to be related to the Iraqi army\'s operation in the western Anbar province. The operation against the al-Qaeda-affiliated group the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant-- or ISIL-- has now entered the third consecutive week. Iraqi forces have surrounded the city of Fallujah but are waiting first for local Sunni tribes to expel the militants. Maliki has also pledged to punish anyone who cooperates with the terrorists.

The al-Qaeda-affiliated militants have vandalized churches in the Damascus countryside of Ma\'lula.
That\'s according to the secretariat of the Patriarch of Antioch and All the East for the Melkite Greek Catholic Church. The militants have reportedly removed the bells of all the churches, burned the crosses, and stolen the bronze statue of Christ. The ancient Christian town of Ma\'lula has been the site of fierce fighting for months now, and thousands of its residents have fled to safer parts of the country including Damascus. Al-Qaeda-linked al-Nusra Front insurgents stormed the Orthodox Mar Takla convent in the town in December and abducted several nuns. Christians make up about 10 percent of Syria\'s population. The religious minority and its holy sites have been subjected to numerous attacks by militants since the outbreak of violence Syria in 2011.
