One of the reasons why many do not participate in the Islamic projects is because they are afraid of failure. Some others do not get involved because they are not sure of the impact of their efforts. Lastly, there is a group of believers who expect instant gratification and overnight results of their efforts; when they don\'t see that happening, they drop out and stop contributing their efforts to strengthen Islamic projects. What exactly should our mindset be when we get involved or start any Islamic project? Ayatollah Misbah Yazdi extracts a lesson from Karbala and explains this phenomenon.

At first I thought that this commercial uses a bit the stigma attached to blindness but then I thought perhaps blindness is a virtue here. To be blind from the distractions of self-indulgence and constant gratification. May we all be blind in that sense so we can start seeing reality with the eyes of our hearts.

ENG- HOW GOD HELPED PEOPLE BY IMAM KHOMEINI.
Over many years in this country they worked very hard.
A sector of the intellectual classes, by the pen, propaganda and through the educational system, they worked very hard.
A sector of the mass media and publications, with all the power at their disposal, they worked very hard...to dispossess this nation of its most valuable assets. That is, to convince them to believe, to brainwash them to believe that you are nothing, you yourselves possess nothing of value. Hence, you must subordinate yourselves to the \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'West\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\' or the \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'East.\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\' \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'West\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\' used to say you are ours and \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'East\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\' used to say you are ours... \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'you yourselves are incapable of accomplishing anything\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'
This revolution appeared among a people that had been subjected to this type of training for at least the past 50 years. The universities were teaching it, this is how they trained its military forces, and all other sectors of society.
It is noteworthy that a revolutionary transformation occurred in this nation during less than one year.
The population transformed itself from a people who used to think of nothing but their immediate gratification into a militant nation ready to to stand on its own feet and to fight for independence and self determination.
The Revolution transformed a dispossessed people with little self confidence, convinced that it is incapable of governing itself into a nation of intellectuals eager to take significant strides in every aspect of their lives.
Had God Almighty not come to the help of this nation no one knows to what low levels the corruptions of the king would have descended. Many of you are possibly informed of the events that unfolded in Shiraz. The scene they created in Shiraz... The act that occurred between a man and a boy. That is the direction they were taking this nation. God heard the calls of this oppressed people and transformed it into a Hezbullahi nation. A nation, a people who are sacrificing everything they possess in the path of God.
