Is it possible that one can worship as much as the inhabitants of the Heavens and the earth, and still not be able to acquire the love for Allah?
Is it possible for one to wear the simplest of clothes, and eat the simplest of food for a whole lifetime, and yet, still not be able to acquire the love for Allah?
When considering the aforementioned questions, what is that one thing that will prevent us from acquiring the love for Allah in our hearts?
Finally, and quite shockingly, is it even possible that a situation may arise where \\\"Allah Will Snatch His Love From Your Heart\\\"?
The late Ayatollah Misbah-Yazdi (R) provides us with a short, but profound lesson on the basics of loving Allah.

And how profound are these divine rights that Islam has given to animals?
Is it recommended for one to eat before the animal that they ride for transportation or cargo?
Does Islam have clear regulations for animal rights or the West?
And finally, after witnessing the rights that Islam gives to animals, is the West\\\\\\\'s so called animal rights even comparable?
Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei narrates and explains a tradition narrated from the 6th divinely appointed Imam, Imam Ja\\\\\\\'far ibn Muhammad al-Sadiq (A), where his eminence (A) speaks about the animal rights in Islam.

How does a person act when they like or love someone?
And with this answer in mind, how do we act when we are in the presence of Allah; such as during our 5 daily Salat?
What does eating less food or wearing simple clothes have to do with the love for Allah?
Is it wrong to have love for Allah, and yet, want to eat good food and wear nice clothes?
Still, what is an unintended consequence of wearing nice clothes and eating good food, in regards to our love for Allah?
And what does it mean to have Shirk, when talking about having the love for Allah in one\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s heart?
Finally, what are the signs that you love Allah? And why should one \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"Eat Less, Wear Simple, Love Allah\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\".

[ Friday Khutba] Equality of Man in Islam; The Message of Hajj - Maulana Syed Muhammad Rizvi | English

- Importance of pondering over why Allah(s.w.t) wants us to go all the way to Makkah for hajj.
- Explanation of Aayat 97 of Surah Aale Imran where Allah(s.w.t) mentions how it is a duty for a Muslim to go for hajj if he has the ability to do so.
- Once the Kaaba’s walls were erected, Allah(s.w.t) asked Prophet Ibrahim to call people for hajj so that they could witness the benefits for themselves.
- There are many benefits when we go for Hajj.
- Getting to network and meet other business traders from around the world.
- The most important benefits are the spiritual and social dimensions of Hajj.
- Hajj is a powerful way of recognizing who we are.
- We shed away all the artificial identities that we have whether it applies to our clothing or political and economic status.
- Everyone is dressed in 2 pieces of Ehram (white cloth) which is a dress that does not belong to any other nation.
- Realizing that no matter what race, colour, ethnicity background or status in society we come from, we are all just servants of Allah(s.w.t) and nothing else.
- Islam does not say that you should not love people of your own tribe, culture or language. Infact, that is part of our innate nature.
- Islam is against discrimination and prejudice amongst the believers on the basis of race, colour, culture or language.
- According to the 4th Imam we will be accountable in the eyes of Allah (s.w.t) when we start preferring our own kind even if they are evil over the righteous ones from another tribe.
- “Asabiya” (discrimanation/bias) is when you support your own people even if they are unjust and wrong.
- Mention of the words of Malcom X, on the impact that hajj had on him from a letter that he wrote to his wife.
- Islam is a religion that is colour-blind and is our identity as part of a global Ummah (nation).
- Inspite of millions of Muslims going for hajj, we don’t see any changes when it comes to unity and equality amongst believers.
- Example of the way the rich gulf state treats Muslims from other nations.
- This attitude still present amongst those known as the custodians of the “haramayn”.
- “Mawali” is the plural of the word “mawla” which means slave or client.
- In the pre Islamic era, a foreigner would not have security for himself, his life and his property unless he would be affiliated with a local tribe. He would be a “mawla” of the tribe.
- Islam abolished this but it was later revived again. Only the school of the Ahlulbayt opposed this concept.
- The “mawalis” were attracted to the Ahlulbayt because they did not differentiate between Arab or non Arab, master or slave and rich or poor.
- Narration of a story from the life of Imam Ali Raza (a.s) of when he asked all the workers and slaves to join him and eat dinner together.
- Mention of all the Imams whose mothers were from different parts of the world. 4 of them being from the African continent.
- Molana Sayyid Saeed Akhtar Rizvi was the pioneer in tabligh among the African people.
- Today Bilal Muslim mission is the pride of the community while it was not the case in the early days.

[12 Aug 2012] Israeli prisons increase repression during Ramadan - English
Prisoner Hatem Qafisha, an administrative detainee, said the prison\'s administration started to handcuff the prisoners\' hands and legs during meetings with the lawyers, and when using bathrooms. Qashafa also said that the prisoners suffer from these brutal procedures besides the hard living conditions due to the hot weather, the continuous cut in the electricity and the lack of the electrical equipment. The prisoner Musaab Fathi from Ramallah, an administrative detainee since 5/6/2011, also said that prisoners in section 6 live in harsh living conditions; the prisons\' administration didn\'t provide the basic materials for cooking, so prisoners just eat little amount of food that the prison provides and they are forced to drink warm water because there are no refrigerators in that section. He added that the prison\'s administration also put the African detainees in the same section, the thing that causes a lot of dispute between the prisoners.

The Ramadan moon has already been sighted in all Muslim countries; this means the beginning of Muslim month of fasting.
In Iran, like other Muslim countries, the fasting month of Ramadan has begun with its special ceremonies and customs. Throughout the month, devout Muslims abstain from food and drinks from dawn until sunset when they break the fast with the Iftar meal. Talking with Imam Husayn (as)
Ali Reza Panahian 2020
Arbaeen is close, but we are far.
Will you allow me to talk [with Imam Husayn (as)]? The Supreme Leader [Ayatollah Khamenei] has recently said, “If you can’t go to Karbala on Arbaeen, talk to Husayn (as).”
Although we’re far, we can talk in memory of you [as a poem says]. There are several important recommended supplications for the day of Arbaeen. People can read those with feeling and attention, open up their hearts to Imam Husayn (as) and say, “O the Master of the Martyrs, we liked to come, but it was impossible.”
The Supreme Leader said, “Talk to him and say, ‘Husayn, we wanted to come, but we weren’t able to.’” You who have been to Arbaeen, this is the experience of the Supreme Leader himself. It’s been years that he would like to go. It’s definitely like this that he has said, “Husayn, I want to come, but I can’t. My situation is not such that I can come.” Therefore, he has received light from this. Now he’s telling the young people and his children to do the same thing.
Will you allow me to talk [with Husayn]? O Aba Abdillah, you didn’t let us come for Arbaeen this year. Is it because we didn’t mourn well for you? Our families weren’t dusty enough [like yours were] on this path?! You don’t like us? Or we weren’t loyal after returning from Arbaeen? What is it? O Aba Abdillah, maybe you wanted to make those who love you to be far from you so that they will fall more in love. O Aba Abdillah, open the way for Arbaeen. When we come this time, we’ll be more polite. I promise not to eat as soon as I get hungry [as traditions have recommended], like your children who could smell food on this path but didn’t eat because they weren’t given any food. I promise to be a little harder on myself. Just open the way. I want to reach you, but you have wanted me to be faraway. So I leave what I want for what you want. I want to reach you, but you told me to be faraway. Ok, I will stay away since you have said so! Whatever you say.
Dear friends, we should talk to Aba Abdillah al-Husayn (as). O Aba Abdillah, we definitely have not put enough effort for you. You’re generous. If a person even sighs for you, you take his hand. But these don’t lead to the Imam of the Time’s (a.j.) reappearance. If they did, the Imam (a.j.) would have come!
O Aba Abdillah, open the way. About three and a half million people came the last time [from Iran]. Open the way. Then, we’ll help for twice this number to come for Arbaeen with the least difficulties for everyone. We’ll put more effort. We’ll try to not come just for fun. It’s our duty!
I don’t want to say the reason for the current situation is definitely our faults. We should always have a combination of fear and hope. In the last years, Imam Husayn (as) gathered those who love him. He let them enjoy spiritually. Now he says, “Let’s bring a separation. It’s good for someone in love. He will burn due to this love and be corrected.” Then the Imam will welcome him again. It’s sometimes like this. According to a tradition, God says, “I see that My servant prays the Midnight Prayer and worships well. For him not to become proud of himself, I cause him to sleep in and not get up for the Midnight Prayer. He even misses his Morning Prayer. He gets up blaming himself, ‘Oh NO!’ This self-blaming is even better than your emotional crying [before Me]. You’ll grow.” I don’t know. Maybe Imam Husayn (as) likes you very much. Maybe he wants to do as this poem says, “If Layli [the beloved] wanted someone else, why did she break my dish?!”
Some friends have asked what to do for Arbaeen considering the situation. I said if it is not possible to gather in cities, you can put up stands (Mawkibs) in the streets. They said it is not possible to give food either. I said it’s alright if you don’t give food. Put up a stand so that there will be a reminder of Arbaeen in the city. Perhaps God wants you to bring these stands and luminous path from Najaf to Karbala to the cities. Then people will ask, “If this is an Arbaeen stand, why don’t they give food and water?” Say, “It is a little like the path from Kufa to the Levant [where the Household were taken].”
Let’s not abandon Arbaeen! If we can’t go this year, God willing the way will open up next year. I’m sure all of you will go with a different feeling! You’ll go with the feeling that God willing you won’t come back without returning Mahdi, the son of Fatimah (a.j.)…

What can I do not to sin? What can I do to fear God? In order to be religious, people should first be trained to have a program and to plan. Help him or her to understand that we have to be disciplined. We must plan in addition to being disciplined, so that we can manage our own lives. They have told us repeatedly about this fact in the traditions that discipline is first.
You prove God to me a hundred times, and I still don’t listen to him. You prove the Hereafter and other things too, and I still don’t obey, because my will has become stubborn. I can’t listen! I haven’t been disciplined.
If we want to convince someone not to sin, the first step is to convince him that he can’t live without a program. Being without a program means being passive. A passive person doesn’t get up until he’s kicked. God hasn’t brought Hell to kick him now! It’s for later. So, he doesn’t do anything! He’ll only get up if he’s kicked!
His temperament is such that his life is without any program. He does things when he’s forced to, threatened, encouraged, or someone is standing over his head. He doesn’t know how to live based on a program at all! If you keep telling him about Hell, it’s useless! This Hell isn’t now. It’s later on. This undisciplined person without any program won’t move himself because of a future Hell. He’ll move whenever he’s kicked. An undisciplined person won’t move himself because of a future Hell.
If my child doesn’t pray, what can I do to get him or her to pray? I’m confused and don’t know what to do. Where should I start? Have you taught your child the key, necessary element in life, which is discipline? We ill-manneredly eat, say Salam, sleep, wake up, walk, dress... Ill-mannered, ill-mannered, ill-mannered! If a child isn’t disciplined, can you turn him into a disciplined person?
It’s easy to add one or two etiquettes to a disciplined person. He observes the etiquettes about neighbors, about sleeping and being awake, about his own room, and about other things. It’s not hard if you add a couple more etiquettes. He says, “What should I do?” “Observe the etiquettes about the Lord.” “What are they?” “Stand like this and say ‘Allahu Akbar.’ Don’t move for five minutes. Prostrate. Bend. Stand up. These are its etiquettes.” He’ll understand and do it. It’s not hard.
It’s hard for the child who has no discipline in his house. There’s kindness, but no discipline. There’s belief in God, but no discipline. There’s spirituality, but no discipline. It won’t work with just these! I’m not talking about whether dancing is forbidden, or not. Whether vulgar songs are vulgar, or not. Or, from what age should we teach children the differences between genders? I’m not talking about Islamic covering and other such things.
People who don’t want discipline for children in Elementary Schools are criminals. The argument is not over religion! Everyone needs a plan to live. And, this planning should be in a person’s blood. For planning to be in a person’s blood, he or she must have been disciplined in childhood. This discipline may be that of the Communists, the East, or the West. But, there should be discipline! The politicians who advocate unruliness in the education environment are criminals.
In order to convince someone not to sin, we must first convince them that we cannot live without a program. Why do you talk to a person about religion when he\'s not used to living with a program? It’s easy to add one or two etiquettes to a disciplined person. He says, “What should I do?” “Observe the etiquettes about the Lord.” “What are they?” “Stand like this and say ‘Allahu Akbar.’ Don’t move for five minutes. Prostrate. Bend. Stand up. These are its etiquettes.”
